The party was bigger than you thought it would be. After all, to you, a party was a small gathering of friends. Some food that everyone brought with them and some kind of fizzy drink. Everyone would sit on the floor, listening to music and chatting.
This was not the kind of party you’d been expecting. You’d already been taken to one side by one of Rodolphus’ friends who commented on your casual clothing and, before you could object, used a spell to change what you were wearing. Feeling uncomfortable you were grateful when Rodolphus’ brother, Rabastan, stayed by your side while Rodolphus went off and toured the room several times. You found yourself entertained by Rabastan and the two of you were quickly joking around and poking fun at the others upon finding out that he also felt out of place at the party, though mostly because his friends had not arrived yet. At dinner, Rodolphus was sent to sit with Bellatrix Black and her sister, neither of whom had paid any attention to you. Despite the fact that Rodolphus would occasionally glance your way he didn’t make any effort to include you in the conversation so you found yourself speaking with Rabastan and his friends. There was more music and dancing once the long meal concluded but this time many people flocked to the expensive-looking antique chairs to talk among themselves and sip at their drinks as they watched the dancers.
"Are we only biding time till I lose your attention?" You frowned as you turned to see who had spoken to you.
“Rodolphus? What makes you think you do not have my attention?” You asked as he frowned out across the room. He glanced at you and scoffed.
“You seemed very occupied during dinner.” He snapped. You looked away from him as he tried to glare at you as if willing you to agree with him.
“Well, you were busy and I was unaware that I was expected to spend my every moment waiting with bated breath for your generous attention.” You said and politely dismissed yourself. You could feel him watching you as the night went on and it wasn’t until you went to leave and found him waiting in the hallway with your shoulder cape that he approached you again.

AAA HI HI DARLING!!
summer holiday matchmaking is kinda rogue but so silly to me it's something i thought of aaages ago and still haven't like properly started writing but it's very fun, it's basically the whole pre-marauders gang going on holiday to zabini's villa in italy in the summer one year and she's literally going about trying to set everyone up w each other...
more below the cut bc this got long.....
zira (zabini, btw i did have a reason that i can't remember anymore but i started calling her that in my head and now i can't stop so we're sticking w it) is there... obviously. and she has this whole major matchmaking scheme that doesn't go entirely right all the time but gets the right results anyway... like she manages to get most of the couples that she wants to get together to get together
the couples in questions areeee:
bella and rita, bc this is me we're talking about and i can't live without quillkiller, and they're circling each other like prey in this one like i think they take the longest to get together bc they just kinda don't want the chase to end
cissy and alice, they're so special to me!!! lots of very nervous kinda moves being made but also like... cissy figures out what zira is doing So quickly and immediately goes into denial about liking alice lol so there's a bit of difficulty there
rodolphus and antonin, my precious angry babies, you already know my thoughts about them as enemies to enemies who fuck and i don't think this is much different like they're not enemies really but zira just manages to gets them to fuck it out rather than scream at each other and calls it a job well done
frank and rabastan, quite sweet i think but i haven't entirely figured this one out it's just general vibes and pasta dough kneading atm
ted and andromeda, this is an already established relationship and they're very sweet and happy and in love etc etc bc they deserve it
lucius and gideon (prewett), but this is more of an unexpected one night stand rather than a relationship so this is very very minor (they somehow end up worming their way into half my fics like this)
also another already established relationship, potentially molly and arthur weasley?? bc i saw this tiktok one time talking about arthur and andy being friends and i was kinda like.... yeah?? maybe??
oh and then also fabian (prewett) and the carrow twins are all gonna be there too like that's their big friend group that spans several school houses and years (although i've lessened the age gap a bit like the black sisters are all just one year apart from each other in this like cissy just finished 5th year, andy just finished 6th and bella just finished 7th, and the rest of their friends span those years like accordingly yk)
also i was thinking of writing this from zira's pov, so it's all kinda an outsiders pov of the various relationships which i just thought would be really interesting to do... but tbh i haven't properly started writing this yet, i've just mapped out the general vibes
there's gonna be a bunch of lounging by the poolside, chatting on the deckchairs, beaches, clubs, cocktails, matching tattoos, house parties, italian food, skinny dipping, drinking games, pasta making, gossiping and DRAMA!! lots of drama and zira is just sitting back and relaxing and having the absolute time of her life......

An anonymous Wizmessage was sent out to all former Death Eaters, minus the traitors of Severus Snape and Regulus Black and any others deemed unfit. It read "If you still want to fight meet us here." An address and time followed. Little did the former members know it was from the Lestranges. Rodolphus and Bellatrix Lestrange heading up recruiting past members to take up the fight once more, Rabastan by their side as their right hand man.
Former Death Eaters, will you join the fight once more?
OOC: Please message Bellatrix or Rodulphus' mun's to be sure your character would have gotten a message!
If your character got the message, decide if they would go to the meeting. The meeting will consist of Bellatrix, Rodolphus and Rabastan laying down their intentions to start up the death eaters again with them as the new leaders. They will open up the death eater group chat again and possibly have some other form of secret communication to when and where meetings will be held. Feel free to plot and work things out in the discord plotting channels and decide how you would like to move forward!

Where’s my fic where all the Death Eaters are constantly mocking and taunting Peter, just always twisting the knife in that the only reason they’re tolerating him is because they don’t have anyone else in the Order, they’d take someone like Sirius in a heartbeat and if he’s not too careful or if his information isn’t good enough, they’ll just hand him over to Sirius, let’s see how you fare when Sirius learns you’re a threat to James? I think that it would be something if they’re all like “no, we don’t want you here, we would prefer literally anyone else and if any of us manage to lure Sirius or James over, you’re dead meat.” I want Peter to constantly know that if he ever ceases to be of use, they’ll toss him to Sirius, find out just how protective and vengeful Sirius can be when it comes to someone putting James in jeopardy. Peter comes to deliver information on the Auror department and Bellatrix, toying with a knife, tells him to give her dear cousin her regards or, if this information doesn’t provide anything, maybe she’ll stop by Sirius’s place for a chat; they’ve got loads to discuss. He’s got Rodolphus Lestrange stopping him in the doorway to point out that they all know he was nothing but a tagalong and sooner or later, they’ll get someone of actual importance in the order and then what can Peter actually do for them.
YEP precisely, Peter is the one they could get so they have no choice but to tolerate him, but they would have rather had literally anybody else 😭

Where: Gringott's Bank

Remus watched Sirius appearing as Bellatrix walk into the bank and down to the vaults, things starting out as planned. Almost. He noticed Snape lurking about with Mulciber just as he was with Priya and he had an uneasy feeling about it but they couldn’t stop now. Why was Snape here on this particular day? Did a death eater always keep watch over Gringotts and the vault or was there something different about today? He didn’t like waiting, especially under the watchful eyes of the goblins but it was all they could do. He and Priya were idly chatting, for the sake of covering acting as if they were waiting for someone as he watched Snape out of the corner of his eyes. If they had people stationed at the bank it was likely any visit to the vault would be informed in advance which their imposters obviously weren’t… He felt restless a pit of unease in his stomach sensing this would not go as planned. Sirius as Bellatrix along with Alice as Rodolphus came striding back into the lobby and it was then that all hell broke loose.
There was a crashing sound and his head whipped to look for the source, things being knocked over as figures in masks stormed the bank. Civilians unlucky enough to be here, that they couldn’t clear without raising suspicion were backing away from the advancing figures forming a loose clump near the tellers’ desks, looking for cover no doubt. His head whipped back around to look for Snape who had been there just a moment before but instead, there was a masked figure coming from a different direction than the others. He wasn’t about to let him join his friends and he stepped in front to intercede. “And just where do you think you’re going?” he asked shooting off a spell his way, sparks sizzling at his feet in warning. “Off to join your friends?” His thoughts went back to his last conversation with Snape, leaning heavily on the word friends, a taunt. There had been two separated from the others both Mulciber and Snape he just hoped he had the latter in front of him.

People often thought that Damocles didn’t have feelings. That somewhere along the way, they had all been scraped out, replaced with numbers and logic and science. His eyes lit up at discovery, his heart raced with the idea of making breakthroughs, he got hard when he mastered a new technique. He played with that persona. He twisted and shaped it around himself like a warm blanket on a cold day. He made himself as impenatrable as possible in order to shove off frivolity. It was a lie, a poorly crafted one that had only gained traction since his first big breakthrough had made him some kind of enigma in the potioneers field.
But as he stood just outside Antonin’s bedroom door, he hesitated. He waited. He froze. Because that icy cold heart was already hurting. Because he was trying to crack the diamond before he moved on to the easier pieces of coal on his list. Antonin was smart, smarter than even Damocles himself, he wouldn’t buy it. And after chatting with Rodolphus, Damocles had to make him buy it, because Damocles was going to make sure that his best friend got the happy ending he deserved, even at his own expense.
May Day had been a disaster for a number of reasons, but he couldn’t exactly ignore a summons when Rodolphus was looking directly at him while his arm burned. He’d seen Wendy. That was less than ideal. Something to worry about later. Finally, he walked into the room without knocking. “I’m ending our friendship. Effective immediately. I believe you’ve outlived your usefulness.” He wanted to cringe at his wooden, stilted delivery. Ant would see through it. “Rodolphus thinks it would be best if I went... elsewhere. To look into some things for The Dark Lord. And I don’t know if-- when I’d be coming back. So... Better to cut off ties now, right? Winnie’s keeping the house, so you’re still welcome to visit it. And her. And the... Spawn.”

This was torture - everything about the day so far had been living hell. He had a trial he absolutely could not be late for, four meetings that had been reschudled for close to a year (unavoidable, now), and he had to wear the fucking robes. As if all of that wasn’t enough, hadn’t wounded him thoroughly, the insult to pile on top was this: he wasn’t just on time, he was early. Early, and pissed off about it, that was Amycus as he all but stomped through the hall of fireplaces and made his way towards the open floor. But it was about to get a hell of a lot worse. He’d seen Rodolphus - that was the whole reason he’d kept storming through; Amycus didn’t want to talk to Rodolphus today, Amycus was in a mood. But he heard his name a second, then a third time, and finally he stopped short and turned. “WHAT?! Clearly, Rodolphus, I am not in the mood for one of our little chats. I have somewhere to be.” He jerked at the robes that lay over his chest, one of the few things Amycus had (though he detested everything else about it) which he could point to to show Rodolphus he was not Amycus’ better (or his equal).

Regulus is 100% the one to leave to protect Barty. Or try to. Barty is a one stubborn mf. There is no begging involved; he just keeps turning up like a bad penny regardless of his personal safety. There is really no escaping him. If Reggie obliviated him and sent him to Australia Hermione-style, it would work for a year tops. He's so annoying I love him (and so does Regulus)
11) Do either try to hide their emotions if upset? Can the other still tell?
At first, in the early stages of their friendship. But as they get close and the barriers fall, they become much more open with each other. Regulus doesn't bite his tongue and even when he struggles to express himself Barty can read him like an open book. Barty just flops on Regulus' bed and starts ranting. When they fight they Fight, and end up talking it out in the process.

11) Ironically, they're both so scared of being a burden to the other they both hide it when they're upset about important things; but they can also immediately tell when the other is upset. And then they're upset that the other won't tell them why they're upset. They feed off of each other's upset and they let it fester until it goes away on its own or blows up in their faces. No communication for these two

They're never not touching. They aren't one of those obnoxious couples who suck face in school corridors but they're very very affectionate. It takes everyone weeks to notice they're dating because they were always that way.
Bellatrix/Rudolf 5/10 I only care for Bebe
5) Describe their cozy night in.
There are no social obligations for once, no family dinners, no Death Eater events, Rabastan too is doing his own thing elsewhere. Bellatrix doesn't do well with peace, she needs to be doing something or she gets bored and restless. Naturally, she goes to bother her husband. He's probably snuggled away in his Manly Man Cave (his study?) doing Pureblood Things (brooding). Bellatrix drags him out, they open a nice bottle of wine, chit chat about other Death Eaters, play a game (Bellatrix always wins)... Retire for the evening to their separate beds around midnight

Bellatrix Black/Lestrange
Know before you apply:
Trained Regulus Black, Barty Crouch Jr., and Evan Rosier. The trio came out terrified of Bellatrix, but compliant to the ways of the cause.
Attacked Alice and Frank Longbottom, with Alice being Rodolphus and Rabastan’s sister. The four are unaware of that fact, with the Lestrange siblings talking and reconnecting after Alice was declared a disgrace to the family.
One of the more sadistic Death Eaters, with the Death Eaters and Order members well aware of that fact. Avoided jail time and flew under the radar once the war ended.
Orchestrated a half-hazard attempt to regain Death Eater morale before Voldemort’s return during a Ministry party. It led to Narcissa Malfoy being attacked and the death of Bartemius Crouch Sr.
Demoted to third in command upon the Dark Lord’s return, with Lucius Malfoy all too happy to give the reminder he is Voldemort’s second.
Rodolphus’ mun hopes to explore a relationship with the two — either married or set to be married, dating, FWB, etc. They are open to chatting upon applying to flesh things out. That said, a romantic relationship is not a requirement, given the AU server setting.

Where: The White Wyvern

Eleanor was bored. The drama of the march had been fun for a while but now everything was dying down, and no one was really even talking about it anymore. Only the people close to it really seemed to care, and Eleanor didn’t really know any of them or care about them very much. With a bit of time having passed, the drama of it all had died down and nothing all that exciting had happened since. This was why she now looked around the bar looking for something fun to do, or someone.
However, the only person she recognised was Rodolphus, sitting alone in the corner of the bar. While she was never close with him, she was very close with his brother and so had spent quite a bit of time around him by association. Still, she was sure he would be some entertainment at least. She walked over, sitting on the edge of his table. “Hey there, Roddy Rod. Enjoying your drink?” she asked, teasing with the nickname as she looked down at him. She took a sip of her drink from her straw, smiling sweetly.

What an excellent night to keep up appearances, Bellatrix thought. With no orders to cause any havoc ( much to her annoyance ) and the entire wizarding world invited, she had an entire evening ahead of her of playing the dutiful wife. How thrilling. With her arm looped through that of Rodolphus, they entered the ballroom: at least there was some satisfaction in seeing people’s head turn. They did look good, after all, all black and gold. Let them look at them in awe, at the very least, even if Bellatrix preferred to be looked at in terror.
“Old Slughorn must be losing his wits,” Bellatrix said under her breath, observing the sheer number of people invited. At least in previous years she didn’t have to associate with the bottom of the barrel. “At least he’s got good taste in wine.” She looked at Rodolphus, gold mask meeting gold mask, and gave him a loving smile that was anything but sincere. “Come on, darling. Let’s get ourselves a drink.”
