Question about your fic Moonrise. What exactly happens to Edmund? I am awful and still haven't started reading your fic yet (but I plan to soon!) and maybe that answers the question. I have seen in the description that Hector took over because Edmund wasn't fit to rule. Just curious what became of him.
And you can call me Meecha or Meech ☺️
Oh!!!
In chapter five, Hector confronts Edmund and Rapunzel's crew right when they're about to enter the Moonstone chamber. They fight (both get bery injured heh) and after everything's done, Edmund tags along with Rapunzel's crew in the balloon trip back to Corona in chapter.
In chapter 12 we'll be getting some more of him and see why exactly he preferred to leave the DK behind instead of staying and fighting for it >:]

A list of my works on AO3
(they're all Saiki K fics at the moment but I'll add fandom categories to this post if I ever get a new interest lol)
It doesn't fit my plans; it's something I don't understand
Published July 11, 2021
Summary: Saiki is fascinated by Satou Hiroshi, and the people around him start to see that this might be more than just a platonic curiosity.
What is this feeling called love?
[Notes: Bittersweet ending. Nobody gets together. My insistence on theming these early fics after songs is pretty embarrassing now. I'm not proud of my writing here but the story is ok. I might rewrite it someday. Not bad for my first fic since like 2003 though]
Something Changed
Published August 11, 2021
Summary: Aiura wrote a letter to her soulmate the night before they were supposed to meet.
She's predicted a lot of things... how could she have gotten this one wrong?
[Notes: Another sad ending. The format of this is almost entirely an excited letter about the future Aiura imagined that would never come to pass. Not really much of a story happening here tbh]
Won't it be strange when we're all fully grown?
Published August 28, 2021 (INCOMPLETE)
Summary: With graduation quickly approaching, the psychics of PK Academy (and Akechi) worry that they'll drift apart. Luckily, they come up with an idea.
"Let's all meet up in the year 2030!"
A lot can change in a decade.
[Notes: Kind of like a psychicker class reunion where they're all adults with jobs and everything catching up. Future chapters were going to have almost a Scooby Doo vibe (with a twist reveal at the end about Aiura's husband!) I abandoned it because I posted some art and someone called my art creepy and it made the whole fic feel bad to think about. Maybe I'll get back to it someday. It's cool to see how quickly my writing improved. I was also super proud of how well I wrote Akechi's dialogue here]
Hotel Valentine
Published September 24, 2021
Summary: Toritsuka Reita is a pretty lucky guy. He somehow managed to not get expelled from PK Academy, he graduated, and he's avoided creeping on any living girls for a few months. To celebrate, the PK Psychics paid for a one-night stay in the fanciest hotel in Tokyo so Reita can creep on the ghost girl of his dreams. Pretty lucky, right?
Too bad things aren't going his way. He's being ignored by the staff, he's bored out of his mind, and he can't find the ghost girl anywhere. Some vacation, huh?
[Notes: Spoiler: Toritsuka's a ghost stuck in a nice hotel. This is based on a concept album that most of you have never heard but hear me out! It really has nothing to do with the Cibo Matto album of the same title except that the chapters are named after the songs and there are fun Easter eggs for fans of the album. Another slightly sad ending but not too bad]
Coffee & TV
Published August 27th, 2022
Summary: The new silence in her house felt heavy on Kumi's shoulders. Everything reminded her of Kumagoro... especially her grandson Kusuo, who has been coming to visit more often than ever before.
[Notes: this is my least popular finished fic and I understand why. It's about grief and the loss of a grandparent. It's about the unique pain that a psychic would have after failing to prevent that death. There's a sad twist that TBH I think I was a little too subtle with. One of my favorites]
Friendly Fire
Published January 8, 2023
Summary: Being an adult is great until the Problems start. Good grief.
30-year-old Kusuo's psychic powers have been pretty well controlled for over a decade. Why are things starting to go haywire all of a sudden?
[Notes: Friendly Fire my fucking beloved!! In this fic, Saiki gets essentially psychic multiple sclerosis and has to deal with some complicated emotions. I don't think it's a masterpiece or anything but it was cathartic to write and I'm in love with the versions of these characters that I wrote here. So much so that I'm writing a sequel just so I can write more of them. Also, FINALLY a happy ending!!]
Ramen Ikouze?
Published April 28, 2023
Summary: After being dragged to get ramen with Nendou every week, Kusuo starts to realize that it's not so bad after all.
[Notes: I love Nendou, he's so good. This fic is very cute and about their friendship. A couple of fun twists]
Saiki has Plans?
Published May 2, 2023
Summary: Saiki mentions having plans after school, and the overactive imaginations at PK Academy work themselves into a fuss trying to imagine what he could be doing.
[Notes: This fic follows around a bunch of Saiki's classmates as they gossip and snoop to find out what he's up to. It's my most popular fic for some reason]
A Bright Flash
Published May 13, 2023
Summary: Saiki develops an annoying new ability, and through some comedy series logic is forced to tell Teruhashi about it. She tries to be a good ally to her "newly psychic" crush.
[Notes: Teruhashi accidentally finds out about Saiki's new power and he's like "fine. I'm a psychic. But it's just this one power and nothing else."]
Heat Wave
Published June 6, 2023
Summary: There's a historic heat wave in Hidariwakibara, and some of our favorite PK Academy students end up running into each other while taking refuge from the hot weather.
A series of four standalone (but connected) stories taking place at the same time:
Aiura has a vision of disaster, and she and Nendou try to stop it
Yumehara gives Toritsuka some advice to improve his game
Akechi meets Teruhashi's brother
Saiki really wants some shaved ice from the kakigori stand where Mera is working
[Notes: The summary explains it well but also I weaved so many connections between the chapters (that are all happening at roughly the same time). It was also a lot of fun writing interactions between characters that didn't get much in canon. Also you can tell it was hot as hell when I wrote it because I definitely gave Saiki some kind of psychic heat intolerance lol]
Immunity
Published July 6, 2023
Summary: She didn't know why, but Kokomi was finally able to see the truth.
Why Saiki seemed to appear and disappear without explanation. Why it seemed like he always knew what she was planning. Why he wore those weird hairpins.
It was all so obvious now.
Saiki had psychic powers.
[Notes: The veil is lifted suddenly and all the truths that Saiki kept locked behind his mind control were revealed to Teruhashi. He and Aiura have a chat with her about it. Also this was the first fic of mine that an IRL friend read (to my knowledge) and his comment was something like "I don't know anything about your boy but he sounds autistic and gnc" and I took that as a fucking compliment! You know you've written Saiki right when people can see that shit from space]
The Disastrous Financial Situation of Saiki K
Published August 9, 2023 (IN PROGRESS)
Summary: Adjusting to his new limitations has been annoying, and now Kusuo (age 31) needs a car to get around.
Unfortunately, taking time off work has drained his savings.
How is he going to get the money for a car now?
[Notes: This is my sequel to Friendly Fire but it's a lot lighter in nature. 100-Yen-Man goes around doing stuff for Saiki's friends. There are mentions of his disability from Friendly Fire and it's plot relevant but I think you can catch on even if you didn't read the original. I haven't updated in a while but I am actively working on it!! A Yumehara and Makino chapter next and then a Toritsuka chapter after that. TBH this isn't my best work and it's pretty unpopular but I'm having fun and that's all that counts)

Note
I just finished reading through The Big Bad Wolf and have loved it. I can’t wait for more!! Any updates or news?
Hi! So happy to hear you loved it! ❤️✨
I'm currently in the process of editing/rewriting TBBW right now! I've also outlined chapter 36 and started writing some of the dialogue, but I'm hesitant to start writing it in its entirety because I feel like I'm going to end up changing a lot of TBBW and want it all up to date before I fully commit my attention to the next chapter. I'm not changing anything plot-line wise, but I am making tweaks to the lore, character development, etc. It's still the same story, but now that the first 35 chapters are written, I find I'm going back and adding bits that you'd normally see in 'filler' episodes. Anything and everything that develops characters, relationships or lore - or even just there simply because I find it fun and enjoyable. I keep reminding myself that writing these first 35 chapters was me stuffing sand into buckets and now, with time to edit, I can finally make the sandcastles: carve turrets and staircases, mount flags and add seashells, adding every scrap of detail that will ultimately make this story come alive.
For example, chapter 5 on its own, has 6.5K of entirely NEW unseen content added to it so far (it's not posted yet, nor are any other edits for TBBW, so don't get too excited). And that's not counting the scene between Sam and Kiera on the phone, which has been re-written completely for the most part. There is also at least one more new scene I still want to write. If the chapter gets too long, it might mean splitting it in two and re-organising the chapters again, like I did for chapter 11 and 12 a while ago when I edited them.
Chapter 5, I hope, is an outlier and most chapters won't have as much done to them. Chapter 1 is edited and finished, yet its mostly the same except for grammar corrections. Though Chapter 2 has a deeper insight into Klaus' mindset - particularly his pure dislike for doppelgangers - purely because it's fun for me, as well as highlighting the development of his character between The Little Wolf and the start of TBBW. There's also going to be an extra canon forwood scene at the end of that chapter, as I want to develop them more, in preparation for when I destroy the relationship in the future chapters after 35. But who nows - all the chapters centered around the Mikaelson Ball I'm eyeing hungrily, my mind whizzing with a few ideas on how I might expand on them a little bit. I also want to focus more on the hybrids, which until now I've kinda ignored.
I know it may be a little disappointing, to hear the next chapter update is a long way off yet. But I don't want to rush this. I want to savour it, every single second. And who knows, by the time you get chapter 36, you won't just be getting a 20k chapter - you'll be getting a 50k bonus update of brand new content as well, sprinkled throughout the first 35 chapters. The word count is going to be over 400k by the time I update the next chapter, probably closer to 450k, I'm almost sure of it.
I can't promise when the next chapter will arrive, but I can promise this:
It will be worth the wait.

20 Questions (for fanfic writers)
I got tagged by the absolutely lovely @sarah-sandwich Thank you!!
1. how many works do you have on ao3?
17 :)
2. what's your total ao3 word count?
157,867 (2/3 of that is SMH hahaha)
3. what fandoms do you write for?
atm all my WIPs and upcoming fic ideas are Spidey related, but I used to write a lot for MLB and OL:BA (and A:TLA back on ffn in hs but we don't talk about the dark ages hahaha)
4. top five fics by kudos:
Under The Moonlight - OL:BA smutty oneshot of what should have happened after the charity ball scene 😳
Crushtomer - MLB coffee shop AU one-shot with Barista!Adrien and Overworked Uni Student!Marinette (heavily inspired by my barista days in College, when I was writing this) ☕
King Agreste - a MLB AU oneshot inspired by the Grimm fairy tale Allerleirauh "all-kinds-of-fur" 🏰
You Said You Loved Me - an MLB kwami swap identity reveal wip i never finished and probably never will sorry 😬
Spider-Man: Homesickness - My take on what the MCU Spidey's life could be like 5 years post: No Way Home and his journey into letting people back into his life and not being so alone (My CURRENT BABY and WIP that I'm ALMOST DONE WITH - it's so fucking long alskdhasasjdkhksdjhfkfh my hope is that it ends up in the no. 1 spot someday when it's complete) 🕸️
5. do you respond to comments?
So I didn't always, but nowadays I try really hard to respond to every comment thread at least, even if I don't always have the last comment on the thread. I really REALLY appreciate each and every comment and I actually often re-read them when I'm feeling insecure in my writing (is that cringe? maybe lol but it's true)
6. what is the fic your wrote with the angstiest ending?
Definitely The Beauty of Green. 268-word OL: BA drabble that smacks you out of nowhere in the last two sentences. I never write things that short anymore but it just worked
7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
A lot of my one-shots back when I was writing for MLB like 5 years ago have happy endings. I prefer more *complicated* endings now, but a genuinely happy ending can be nice too. May I present Drops in a Pond for consideration though? Not traditionally fluffy or sweet, but I like to think it's a soft and hopeful kind of ending.
8. do you get hate on fics?
I haven't yet. I think I'm too small of a creator to get hate lol
9. do you write smut?
I've posted one smut fic before, Under the Moonlight, listed above. It's my top-rated fic so I guess I know a little of what I'm doing. OH and my side-wip I'm working on when SMH is too angsty for me is all fluff and kinky Parkner smut and I'm so excited to post that someday when SMH is fully out and done.
10. craziest crossover:
I haven't written any crossovers, unless you count pulling from marvel canon across different adaptations to make SMH (it's got Gwen and Harry and Miles even though they're not in the MCU 19999 as of now). But I used to write a lot of aus
11. have you ever had a fic stolen?
I don't think so
12. have you ever had a fic translated?
No, but I would be so honored if someone did! I once had a full conversation in the comments with someone in another language by using Google Translate and that was fun!
13. have you ever co-written a fic before?
I think my writing process would be a little too unconventional to co-write with someone unless we were trading chapters and perspectives. I go back and edit my drafts a lot as I move forward and I would be too tempted to edit their writing too, which feels mean...
14. all time favorite ship?
I LITERALLY CAN NOT PICK DO NOT DO THIS TO ME!!!!! I will be a multi-shipper until the day I die, in basically every fandom.
15. what's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I have an idea for a series of long fics making an MCU HS AU inspired by Degrassi, but I think it would be just too many hours and too many words that I won't ever commit to. I love a good HS AU every now and again, but I feel like a lot of people (across fandoms with hs aus tbh) write the characters as if they already have a lot of the canon quirks the characters have as adults. I would want to write them truly as their HS selves, acting like real teenagers and all the dumb shit teens do, as the reader follows along on the journey of their growing up.
16. what are your writing strengths?
I think I really like detail and trying to portray a level of reality with the characters, even in more fantastical settings. I want the character's choices and motivations to be both complex and clear to the reader, even when they're making choices that the reader disagrees with. I also think this is a skill that is more and more prevalent in my recent writing, so my earlier MLB stuff doesn't have as much of it. My OLBA stuff and now my Spidey stuff though? Yeah.
17. what are your writing weaknesses?
Staying motivated to finish WIPS. (This is something I've improved a lot on though and at this point, barring some kind of life-or-death calamity in my life, I will absolutely be finishing SMH. I'm literally 120k of a predicted 150k words deep and going strong sooo).
OH ALSO comedy! I'm so bad at writing funny characters and making them actually say things that are both funny and make sense. Sucks when writing Spidey cause he can be such a little shit with his sarcastic comments and each dialogue point takes me 3-5 business weeks to come up with.
18. thoughts on dialogue in another language?
I do it very rarely and only when it feels 100% necessary. I had a small bit in Spanish in ch 6 of SMH because Jeff and Rio were literally talking about Peter right in front of him and he could hear the words they were saying, even if he didn't understand them. But it was very brief.
I did it because the POV character literally didn't understand it, so it made sense to have it written out. In fics where the POV character understands what's being said, I prefer it all be written in the fic's primary language, for reader ease.
19. first fandom you wrote in?
A:TLA, like I said. That was back in the dark ages of my Junior Year of HS on my old ffn account that will never see the light of day again hahaha
20. favorite fic you've written?
Every current WIP has always been my favorite because that is what I'm thinking about. So SMH is definitely my current fave. It's my baby and I've put literally hundreds of hours into it (I keep a spreadsheet lol, it's nearly 150 hours of sheer writing, not including the early days of brainstorming and outlining.)
HOWEVER, back in the day, I was really proud of writing Answer Me and it's literally my lowest-rated fic, but I was such a fan of the genre and the Night Circus inspiration. Plus, I love Alya as a character and it was really fun to write from her perspective.
OH, and I'm still proud of Under the Moonlight because it taught me that my acespec ass can write smut and is also good at it, lol. I just have to write smut that's rooted in ~*~feelings~*~ and also has an element of humanism and imperfection. Which is the type of vibe I'm putting into my side-wip rn.
Thanks for tagging me, Sarah!

“You ain’t nothing but a hound dog”
October, Thursday 13th – WSH 2 @ TOR 3
It was Thursday night, and it was hockey night - but not just any hockey night, it was this season's first home game.
And Charlie had managed to secure VIP tickets for her and Julia with a little help from Mitch, which had Julia excited beyond measure.
The game was an absolute thrill, with the Toronto Maple Leafs taking on the Washington Capitals and emerging victorious with a 3-2 score. The atmosphere in the arena was electric, and Julia found herself fully immersed in the excitement. Cheering alongside passionate fans, she couldn't help but be captivated by the fast-paced action on the ice and the players' incredible skills and determination.
Charlie's joy was infectious, and the two friends celebrated each goal and crucial save with high-fives and hugs. The game kept them on the edge of their seats, with both teams giving their all to secure the win.
Julia was used to watching football at stadiums, which was much alike, but the speed of the hockey game increased the level of excitement.
As the final minutes ticked away, the Maple Leafs held onto their lead. The experience of witnessing an NHL game live, the spectacular plays, and together with Charlie made it an unforgettable night.
After the game, Charlie and Julia made their way to the players' area to greet the team and congratulate them on their victory. They had a chance to hang out with some of the players' friends and family members, including Stephanie and other partners like Tessa, Mo's fiancée, and Aryne, John Tavares' wife.
“Hey,” Mitch almost shouted as the guys started to come out of the locker room. He came over to Steph and kissed her before turning to Charlie and Julia. “How did you like the game?” he asked, all excited from the win. Both Charlie and Julia exclaimed that it was incredible and pointed out the team's fantastic performance.
Auston and Mo joined the group, and a few minutes later, William came over as well after finishing an interview.
“You guys were amazing.” Charlie added, and the guys just chuckled and thanked the girls for their praise.
“So, JJ, how did you like your first NHL game?” Auston asked her.
“Well, it might have been my first, but it definitely won't be my last,” she said with a grin, and the guys laughed in response, clearly pleased.
The group chatted for a bit about the game. Julia couldn't help but notice Auston glancing at Charlie a few times, which made her smile. She knew that Charlie fancied him as well. They had spent an hour just talking on the night of her birthday party, and they'd shared their social media accounts, where Snapchat was frequently used.
But Julia was cut off from her train of thoughts by William.
“Happy birthday, by the way - did you have a good time tonight?” He asked, smirking, and she nodded, offering him a friendly smile.
“Thanks, but my birthday was like 5 days ago,” she chuckled.
“Yeah, I know, but I didn't really have the chance to tell you then,” William joked playfully, which made Julia laugh as well.
“But yes, I've had a good time tonight,” she said, and they shared a moment smiling at each other. Julia couldn't help but stare into his blue eyes. It was like they were glowing - probably from the post-game sweating and showering. “You were great,” she said softly, “I guess you're not just all smiles and charm then,” she chuckled, and he nodded with a grin.
“Don't get fooled by this pretty face, I'm so much more,” William smirked.
“Having a wonderful smile and talent on the ice can certainly take you a long way, no doubt,” she laughed and gave him a wink, which made him laugh as well.
“I guess I don't need anything else, right,” he bantered along, and they shared a moment of amusement.
As the conversations slowly died out, the group split, and the guys finished getting ready while Charlie and Julia left the arena.
It had been a remarkable night, filled with hockey excitement, celebration, and newfound friendships. Julia couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift and introduction to the spirit of Toronto, and she knew that this hockey adventure was just the beginning of many more wonderful memories to come.
**
On the following beautiful Sunday afternoon, Julia headed to her regular Starbucks, enjoying a relaxed walk as her landlord worked on fixing some issues with her washing machine. While queuing, she immersed herself in music, savouring the moment until an unexpected 'boo' startled her, causing a shriek.
"Shit!" she exclaimed as William came up behind her, who was out on his own stroll. "You startled me, Willy," she playfully scolded him with a laugh.
"Sorry, just wanted to surprise you," he replied with his signature smirk.
"Well, you succeeded, you twit," she chuckled, moving forward in the queue. William just laughed along.
At the counter, Julia ordered a Grande cappuccino with an extra shot of espresso, to go, and William chimed in, "Make that two – minus the extra shot.” Julia gave him a questioning look. “You owe me a coffee, remember?" he smirked.
"No no no, you can't use that favour twice," she protested, "I've already bought you a drink."
William chuckled, casually leaning against the counter, "Well, that was a drink - this is coffee; there's a difference."
Julia rolled her eyes but paid for both of their drinks. "You really are an idiot," she teased as they waited for their coffees.
"Maybe, but I'm a charming idiot," he replied, making her laugh once again.
"So now I've bought you a coffee, which makes us even for that little incident," she observed, raising an eyebrow. "But I've also bought you a drink, so that means you actually owe me a drink now," she smirked.
"Yeah, I guess so," he admitted with a chuckle, sharing a fun moment with her. "But seriously, don't Brits usually drink tea or something?" William teased, making Julia burst into laughter.
“Well, yes; but it seems my dad's Danish genes come out on top when it comes to drinks," she replied with a grin.
As they were waiting, a young boy nervously approached William, asking for his autograph. William gladly obliged, and Julia couldn't help but smile at the heart-warming scene.
"Wow... can't believe you can actually be this sweet,” she joked.
"Well, I've got to do something to impress you, right?" William teased, and they both laughed as their coffees were ready.
Leaving Starbucks, William unclipped a dog leash from a nearby metal knob.
"Oh my god! Are these your dogs?” Julia asked excitedly.
"Oh no, I'm just trying to steal them,” William replied sarcastically, earning yet another eyeroll from Julia. She bent down to greet the adorable Goldendoodle and a yet cuter black doodle.
“They’re so cute," she cooed, petting the lively pup.
"This is Pablo,” William introduced the golden dog, “and that’s is Banksy,” William pointed to the balck one, amused by Julia's affection for the dogs.
"Well, hello Pablo,” she said, using a baby voice to interact with the very energetic dogs. “And hello Banksy.”
“So, this is what it takes to impress you, huh,” William chuckled, and Julia just nodded. “If you’d like, you can join us for a walk?" William invited, smiling.
Julia thought for a few seconds. "Sure, why not," Julia agreed with a casual tone, "I'm just waiting for my landlord to finish up at my flat anyway."
“You mean apartment,” William teased, which made Julia chuckle.
“Yes… apartment”
Pablo and Banksy eagerly took the lead as they strolled through the streets of Toronto, William guiding the way to the nearest dog park. There were happily running, sniffing, and marking different spots.
“They’re adorable,” Julia chuckled as she watched the exitid dogs.
“Yeah, they are” William smiled, “I even take them with me on the road sometimes.”
“Really, how cute - guess it’s nice with some fluffy company,” she smiled.
“Definitely.”
Julia couldn’t help but feel comfortable by William’s calm demeanour. He was definitely a cheeky idiot, but he was also charming and occasionally sweet.
"So, what's life like on the road?" Julia inquired as they settled onto a bench. "And what's it like being a hockey player?"
William couldn’t help but chuckle at Julia’s sudden curiosity.
“Well, I'd say it's pretty great,” William said and took a sip of his coffee, while watching Pablo run and play with Banksy and other dogs. “I honestly don’t think too much about it, it’s just my lifestyle and what I love to do.”
Julia smiled. “And you’re good at it,” she said, which made William chuckle a bit. “Did you grow up with hockey?”
William nodded. He then told Julia all about his upbringing. He talked about how he’s from Calgary, but he’s been moving around a lot in the US due to his father playing in the NHL. He told her about his family, how they play tennis, and that his father’s Swedish and he’s been spending almost every summer in Sweden. She could tell that his family meant a lot to him.
“Wait, you have how many sisters?” Julia laughed.
“Four,” he replied with a laugh.
“And you have a brother, Alex as well?” William nodded. “Wow… then how come you still know nothing about women?” Julia bantered which made William chuckle.
“How about you?” William asked, intrigued to know more about Julia as well.
“Well… as you know I was born in Denmark, but spent most of my upbringing in England,” she started, then continued to talk about how she’s got 2 brothers, one older and one younger. Her father’s Danish and her mother’s from Birmingham. She grew up just outside of London and when she was 19, she moved around Europe. She’d lived in Amsterdam and Berlin for two years, working in the service industry, before she moved to Copenhagen, where she met Camille, a fellow Brit who was searching for a roommate. She went to Copenhagen Business school, to master her degree within International Shipping and Trading, before she moved back to London, to work as a Project Assistant.
“Sounds like you’ve travelled a lot,” William smiled.
“Yeah, and it’s been fun. I loved every part of it,” she smiled back at him.
“Do you ever miss it?”
“Miss what?”
“Europe, England, home?”
“All the time,” Julia replied softly with a smile.
“How about you? Do you miss Sweden?”
“Sometimes,” William smiled.
They sat there, sharing a moment of calmness, and felt at ease in each other’s company. They both felt a connection, but what exactly it was, none of them could pinpoint. Maybe, they could feel a connection because of their diverse cultural and international and Scandinavian upbringings, which gave them a mutual understanding. Or maybe it was because they shared a quirky and brashy sense of humour. Nonetheless, it was simple and easy between them.
William knew that he’d missed an opportunity with Julia when he’d left her during their first night together, but he could sense that she wanted to spend time with him. Which made him happy. Julia felt it as well. She enjoyed his company, and a part of her wanted to know more about him. And even though they had been intimate, she just felt like he was the perfect friend right now. Easy to talk to, and just as cheeky and playful as herself.
Just in that moment, Pablo came running towards them and jumped into William’s lap.
“Hey buddy,” William exclaimed excitedly.
“Perhaps we should go back,” Julia said as she looked at her phone, seeing a message from her landlord, that she could come back to her flat. William nodded, as they got up from the bench and Banksy happily walked next to him, while Pablo took Julia’s side.
As they walked out of the park, William couldn’t help but look at Julia through the corner of his eye. He knew that their friendship was growing through jokes and bantering, which he enjoyed, but he also couldn’t help but think about what she’d said last time at the bar and what Charlie had said as well. So, he cleared his throat a little before saying something.
“I’m sorry… by the way,” his tone was a little nervous and he was looking awkwardly round and down into the ground.
“Sorry about what?” Julia asked with a soft chuckle.
“About that night… or morning.”
William was never one for words, especially when it came to feelings or sensitive topics. But Julia smiled at his words. She hadn't expected him to bring this up, and it meant a lot to her.
“It’s ok,” she smiled, “I mean, I was a bit… confused maybe, unsure if I’ve misread the situation, but honestly it’s fine - we had a great night, and that’s it, now we’re here.”
“You’re sure?” he asked gently, searching her eyes. “You’re not mad at me?”
“Of course not,” Julia chuckled, looking back at him. “We’re all good, Wonderboy.”
William smiled, a sense of relief washing over him. He wanted them to be friends, or whatever they were becoming.
"Besides, I'm not even sure what would have happened if you'd stayed... I mean, to be honest, it probably wouldn't have changed anything," Julia said with a warm smile. "And I'm really glad we can just be friends."
Walking together, William felt genuinely comfortable around her. She was sweet, kind, and yes, a bit of a brat, but he found that endearing. Because, so was he.
"Me too," he replied.
As they reached a crosswalk, Julia pointed toward another street than where Starbucks was located. "I need to go this way."
"It was really nice seeing you today," William said with a smile, knowing he had to continue down the road. "Pablo really enjoyed your company."
"Likewise," Julia offered him a friendly smile. "And if Pablo ever wants to go for another walk, I’ll be happy to join,” she bent down to pet the still-energetic dog.
"I'm sure he'd love that," William chuckled.
They exchanged a warm hug before parting ways.

Later that night, Julia's phone lit up with an Instagram notification:
‘williamnylander started following you’
A smile graced her face as she glanced at her phone. "That cheeky bastard," she mused, opening the app. She briefly considered sending him a message but then decided to keep things simple. They were just getting to know each other better, after all. She chose to post a picture from her day at the dog park, featuring Pablo happily chasing a ball.
She added the caption: "Sunday strolls with the delightful Pablo & Banksy 🐾 #DogParkAdventures" and clicked "post."
Before long, the post began to garner likes and comments. William had liked the picture and even left a comment: "Pablo's found himself a new best mate! 🐶👏 “
Julia couldn't help but smile at his comment and replied, "Looks like we're mutual fans then! 😄🐾"
Seeing William’s comment, she decided to message him anyway.
jjonesss: Wow, now you're also stalking me on social media 😉
williamnylander: Well, I had to find a way to contact you, you know, in case Pablo wants to see you again 😛
jjonesss: Haha, of course... for Pablo... 😉 In that case, please give him my best - and Banksy!
williamnylander: Will do 😊 They say they had a great time today
jjonesss: Please tell them, so did I 😊
Their conversation continued in the private messages, with light-hearted banter and emojis exchanged. Julia's initial reservations seemed to fade as she realised that their connection was genuine and uncomplicated. She had been cautious at first, but now she felt glad that she was allowing herself to enjoy this blossoming friendship.
Eventually, Julia set her phone aside and leaned back on her bed, a content smile playing on her lips. She had no idea where things might lead with William, but she was excited to find out. For now, she was going to savour the effortless camaraderie they shared and the unexpected moments that life had brought her way.

"Argh!" Tyler exclaimed as he fell once again.
Julia smiled as she watched the young boy get back up on his skates. The following Tuesday, she found herself seated on a bench with Phoebe at Tyler's hockey training session. Andrew, their father, and Julia’s boss was tied up in a client meeting, so Julia was taking care of the kids. Phoebe was engrossed in an episode of Peppa Pig on the iPad, giving Julia the chance to scroll through her Instagram and pass the time during the 1.5-hour session.
Tyler looked adorable in his hockey gear, she thought. She had taken a picture of him just before he took to the ice, and she decided to post it on her Instagram story.
"This little one will be a pro one day," she wrote.
Shortly after, a message from William appeared in her inbox.
williamnylander: he already looks like a pro to me 😀
jjonesss: Haha, I'll make sure to tell him that 😄
williamnylander: who's his fave TML player? 😉 it's me right? I know it is
jjonesss: haha sorry to burst your bubble, love 😂 but it's Auston - he even got his jersey
williamnylander: hmm… guess I'll have to do something to change his mind 🤔
jjonesss: I'm sure that big brain of yours can think of something 😂
williamnylander: I'm sure it can 😂 I can always bring him to the rink or something - for a private lesson
jjonesss: Hm not very creative though 😉 but I'm sure he'd love that
williamnylander: I can bring Banksy and Pablo as well 😉
jjonesss: so when will this be? 😍
Julia couldn't help but grin as she continued her conversation with William. She could sense his good-natured intent behind his words, and it warmed her heart.
After a while, Phoebe's excited shout snapped Julia out of her Instagram reverie.
"Did you see that, JJ?" Phoebe exclaimed with an enthusiastic expression.
Julia looked up, curious. "No, what happened?"
"Tyler scored a goal!" the younger sister announced proudly.
"Wow, that's fantastic!" Julia cheered.
Once the training session concluded, Julia waited for Tyler to emerge from the locker room. Standing among the other parents, she felt a sense of camaraderie even though she wasn't a traditional hockey-mum. But being in the rink's hallway brought back memories of watching her brother’s play.
She missed her family.
During her Facetime call with them after the Thursday game, she excitedly recounted her NHL experience in Toronto. Her father and Daniel had been genuinely interested, particularly her dad, who closely followed their local team back in Copenhagen. While her dad mostly followed European hockey, he and her brother had been keenly following NHL news recently.
"Did you see me, JJ?" Tyler burst out of the locker room, brimming with excitement.
"Absolutely, darling! You were incredible," Julia smiled warmly at the exuberant young boy.
"I can't wait to tell Dad!"
Julia's heart swelled at Tyler's excitement. She knew Andrew would have loved to be there. Despite his busy schedule, he always made an effort to be there for his children's events. But, Julia was glad to step in when needed.
"So, Tyler," Julia began as they drove home. "My friend William Nylander has asked if you'd like to come to the rink one day and maybe play a little hockey with him."
"OH MY GOD, REALLY?!"
Julia chuckled, glancing at him through the rear-view mirror.
"Yeah, he seemed quite disappointed when I told him Auston was your favourite player. So, he offered to train with you himself," Julia continued, her voice tinged with amusement.
"When? Oh my god, yes! That would be unbelievable, JJ!"
"Well, we'll need to coordinate schedules, but you have to promise you'll tell him he's your favourite player then," she teased with a light chuckle.
"I promise!"
For the remainder of the car ride, Tyler was nearly bouncing in his seat with excitement.

20 Questions For Writers
I was tagged by the lovely @takadasaiko!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
I just finished posting my 238th fic! It's one of my few longer ones, so I've been putting the chapters up one at a time.
Cupcakes and Kisses, a Bucky/Darcy bakery AU, and behold, a moodboard!
Tumblr media
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
830,043
3. What fandoms do you write for?
MCU almost exclusively, though I did post one Harry Potter fic awhile back, and I've got a couple WIPs for other fandoms that may never get posted.
Tumblr media
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes, and I love doing so! The reader feedback is one of my very favorite parts of fandom, because they get to tell me what they liked, and I get to be super happy about that. Often times a reader will notice something I didn't even put together in my own writing, or they will love a line that I personally thought was amazing, and nothing beats that! It's just a circle of love, and I live for it.
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
This one is definitely the saddest, because there is no After.
The Price We Paid, in which Tony activates a Coffin Protocol in the suit, which is exactly what you think, featuring MCD.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I mostly write fluff and shenanigans, so really, you could pick at random and it would probably be a super happy ending.
Though I think I could recommend several from my Iron Family series, since most of those are fix-its.
Tumblr media
8. Do you get hate on your fic?
I have once or twice, but that is something I do not tolerate anywhere in my fandom life. I have anon disabled, and I moderate comments, because this is a fun space for me. Fandom is where I go to be excited about these adorable little blorbos with my fandom friends, and hate has no place there. Neither does condescension or meanness, so I have absolutely no problem with deleteing that from my life.
9. Do you write smut?
Wouldn't you like to know.
10. Do you write crossovers?
I don't think I ever have, but I have definitely read it and enjoyed it!
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Yes, actually, @newnewyorker93 and I had a collab fic stolen. Luckily one of our readers spotted it and it was taken down.
I Went to the County Fair and All I Got Was This Alpaca is the fic in question, and it has alpaca-snuggling, so I highly recommend.
Tumblr media
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I know I've given permission at least once, but I admit I don't recall if it did get translated or not.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
Many times, and I love it! Writing is so much easier with a writing buddy! I'm always open to a good collab.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Pepperony. I just... I just love them. I love a lot of ships from a lot of fandoms, but Pepperony is the one that I've been with the most. The most fanfic, the most interaction with other fans, the most feels.
Tumblr media
15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Well, I never say never with this kind of thing, really. It often takes me years to finish something, but I have finished a good number of things that did in fact take me years to get from idea to fully formed and written fic.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Definitely dialogue and one-shots. I cannot plot for the life of me, so I largely stick to what I'm good at, and I'm happy there. (This is where co-writing is amazing, because other people can plot when I can't!)
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I've done so several times, but it's usually single words or phrases that I've trusted Google Translate for. Which I know can be sketchy, so I try to limit that.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
The one I'm still writing for, the MCU!
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?
Definitely can't pick a favorite kid, but I think I do have one that I've reread the most.
Save Another Life (It Will Be Worth It) is a Bruce-flavored remix of How To Save A Life (It Just Might Be Yours), in which the Winter Soldier finishes a mission with baby Tony Stark in tow, and then raises the baby as his own while his conditioning falls apart.
In that fic, there were several cameo appearances by other Avengers as kids, and Bruce was the saddest one. When a couple readers had questions and comments about it, it sparked the remix in which Bruce gets saved too. Made a moodboard for it too!
