I created the base for a Brotherhood picture, and couldn't make up my mind about which style to go with. I did two different completed pieces. Here's the first. A stained glass style drawing.

My other idea is in the style of the show, with each member of the Brotherhood associated with a different season of the year. That picture is available to my patrons on patreon

Finally introduced the Brotherhood into my comic! I am so excited to get to the scenes where they interact with Scarlett, they’re going to be so much fun to write. Thank you to @th3p0rtalmaker for helping me with Adira’s reaction to Scarlett! 😊

It's back baby!!! Thank y'all for your patience and I'm so glad I took that break. The holidays were really rough for me. Lots of family stuff and stress with my own children got me into a kind of slump, but I'm slowly coming out of it. I'm so happy to be back to posting my story and to finish up this first part of the Dark Kingdom Rising.

ALCHEMY BRO'S HEADCANNONS PART 3!!!!??

NOBODY CAN STOP ME NOW!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA

All the siblings are neurodivergent.

Belle and Hugo have autism.

Jacky and Varian have ADHD.

When Belle gets overstimulated, the bros make sure to give her space to calm down. She usually doesn't like to be touched, but see enjoys them calmly chatting with her while she relaxes.

Hugo on the other hand is a "Sensory seeking autistic." So he likes hugs and cuddles! They actually make him feel better!

Varian considers Eugene a big brother too!

Hugo and Eugene would sometimes fight for big brother privileges.

They eventually settle this though after seeing that Varian loves them equally.

Varian invented contact lenses for Hugo. But he never uses them, because he kept repeatedly losing them.

Hugo invented a fidget spinner for Varian when his ADHD kicks in.

Jacky is bit of an artist and him and Rapunzel have painting sessions all the time!

Rapunzel actually has a painting club that includes Faith, Sophie, and a few of her other hand maidens.

They once convinced Hugo to come and he actually made a very nice painting of his puppy Buttercup. He was super bashful about it.

Varian and Hugo once invented a flight suit and decided the best way to test it was by jumping off the roof! Quirin nearly had a heart attack!

Varian invented Christmas lights!

Edmund was very confused when he visited Quirin and he suddenly had three sons and a daughter! And the fact that none of the new children looked like anyone in the family!

Belle, Nuru, Vex, Amber, and Calliope formed their own girl group. Varian and the boys feel very out numbered!

Hugo has a little aquaphobia, from bad memories of the water room in Donella's fortress. Usually it's just really deep water like lakes and the ocean.

Belle is very good with horses.

Varian and Belle are "Short Friends Forever!" buddies!

Hugo and Varian regularly have wrestling matches. They get rowdy sometimes, so Ulla and Quirin say they have to take it outside when they do.

Varian and Hugo run the library. But Ulla won't go near it because it gives her bad memories of being trapped in there. Hugo and Varian being her books she might like from it though.

Ulla and Ariana swap mom advice.

Wow! I can't believe I made three of these! I guess I got a lot of ideas!

Perhaps things would be complicated for a while, but Edmund loved this baby with every drop of blood in his body and would do anything for him. So, whatever the outcome, at least he knew his son would be loved.

Edmund obeyed, giving the baby one last kiss. “We’ll name him Horace.”

“Like the realm of Zhan Tiri, we will, he’ll be called Eugene.”

“Eugene,” Edmund accepted without a fight.

“How do we contain something that’s indestructible?”

“We don’t do anything, this is captain stuff, you—”

“I just sit around and watch the kingdom be invaded by oddest army Corona’s ever experience?”

“No. If you see them get too close, you’re allowed to get up and move.”

“I’m taking the crown, I look spectacular in it.”

“What do you think it feels like?” Rapunzel looked towards the window. “Is the grass soft or spiky? Is the air cold or warm? How many books do you think are out there?”

Pascal squeaked.

“I bet it’s amazing... no matter what it feels like, it can be cold and wet and spiky but, it’d still be amazing because it would be new.”

Cassandra had no idea how she’d earned this woman’s hatred, which was unusual. Not earning somebody’s hatred, she was good at that, but usually she knew how she’d got there.

Gothel took a deep breath, this was one of those moments where she was going to think fast and stick to whatever decision she made and pray to whatever maleficent god would force her to work so hard to maintain her youth, she’d made the right choice.

Question about your fic Moonrise. What exactly happens to Edmund? I am awful and still haven't started reading your fic yet (but I plan to soon!) and maybe that answers the question. I have seen in the description that Hector took over because Edmund wasn't fit to rule. Just curious what became of him.

Oh!!!

In chapter five, Hector confronts Edmund and Rapunzel's crew right when they're about to enter the Moonstone chamber. They fight (both get bery injured heh) and after everything's done, Edmund tags along with Rapunzel's crew in the balloon trip back to Corona in chapter.

In chapter 12 we'll be getting some more of him and see why exactly he preferred to leave the DK behind instead of staying and fighting for it >:]

Dark Kingdom Rising

This and the next chapter were the few chapters I hadn't finished....until now. I really struggled with this chapter due to all the dialogue and the amount of characters I had to create. (Making up names for characters is going to get me killed one day.) Plus making sure it seemed professional enough to be in a diplomatic setting such as this.

Fair warning for you readers as well, the last bit of this entire first part of The Dark Kingdom Rising will start to deal with some heavy stuff. All chapters will have more detailed and appropriate warnings in the chapter summary. I will also be separating off some areas with asterisks (**) to help warn for specific parts. Just a heads up!
