SELECTING THE RIGHT NIGHT SKIN CARE CREAM
Choosing a night care face cream can be a daunting task, but it's important to find the right one for your skin type to ensure that it provides maximum benefits without causing any irritation or breakouts.
Here are some steps you can follow to select a night care face cream for your skin type:
1. DETERMINE YOUR SKIN TYPE:
Before selecting a night care face cream, you need to know your skin type. There are four basic skin types: oily, dry, combination, and normal. To determine your skin type, observe your skin and assess how it looks and feels.
Tumblr media
2. CONSIDER YOUR SKIN CONCERNS:
Along with your skin type, you should also consider your skin concerns. Do you have fine lines and wrinkles, acne, dark spots, or dull skin? Your skin concerns can help you choose a night cream that targets those specific issues.
Tumblr media
3. LOOK FOR INGREDIENTS THAT SUIT YOUR SKIN TYPE:
When selecting a night cream, look for ingredients that suit your skin type. For oily skin, look for lightweight formulas that are oil-free and non-comedogenic. For dry skin, choose a cream that is rich in emollients, such as shea butter or ceramides. Combination skin can benefit from a gel-like formula that hydrates without feeling heavy, while normal skin types can use a variety of creams.
Tumblr media
4. CONSIDER THE TEXTURE AND FORMULA:
Night creams come in different textures, such as creams, gels, and lotions. Choose a texture that feels comfortable on your skin and absorbs easily. If you have sensitive skin, look for a fragrance-free and hypoallergenic formula.
Tumblr media
5. READ PRODUCT REVIEWS:
Before making a purchase, read product reviews from others with your skin type and concerns. This can give you an idea of how effective the product is and whether it is suitable for your skin.
Tumblr media
6. TEST THE PRODUCT:
Once you have selected a product, test it on a small patch of skin before applying it to your entire face. This can help you avoid any allergic reactions or irritation.
Tumblr media
Overall, selecting a night care face cream involves understanding your skin type, skin concerns, and finding the right ingredients and formula that suit your needs. It's essential to be patient and take the time to find the right product that works for your skin
Here are some popular night creams available in India for different skin types:
1. FOR NORMAL TO OILY SKIN:
Lotus Herbals WhiteGlow Skin Whitening and Brightening Nourishing Night Creme
Biotique Bio Wheat Germ FIRMING FACE and BODY NIGHT CREAM
Olay Regenerist Advanced Anti-Ageing Revitalizing Night Skin Cream
2. FOR DRY SKIN:
The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream
L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Moisturizing Night Cream
Himalaya Herbals Revitalizing Night Cream
3. FOR COMBINATION SKIN:

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
4. FOR SENSITIVE SKIN:

It's important to note that everyone's skin is unique and what works for one person may not work for another. It's always a good idea to do a patch test before using any new product

This article aims to provide you with a guide on understanding skin types and recommendations for lotions that are safe for your 6-month-old baby in India.
Understanding Skin Types

Hey I've been following your blog for awhile and I know we're both in our late 20's. I only unfortunately recently started getting into skincare and actually wearing SPF so my skin has suffered :( Are there any skincare products to fight aging that you swear by? You have such lovely skin. Like..It's perfect. I use Aveeno SPF 30 lotion, vitamin C serum, retinol, and Cetaphil moisturizer at night. What else do you suggest, if anything? Unless you're just blessed.
First of all, thank you, that's so nice! I will say that my skin probably isn't as good as you're imagining, because when you see me I'm almost always in front of a window or a ring light and because I color filter my videos for aesthetic consistency. That said, I am into skincare and I'm totally happy to give some advice.
In general, the first thing I would say is to know your skin type and identify your skin concerns. If your skin is dry (like mine), you'll need different products from someone who's skin is oily. If your skin is sensitive, there will be products that people swear by that won't work for you. If you're looking to prevent wrinkles or treat acne, there are specific ingredients to look for in your skincare products.
Once you know your skin type, you can put together a skincare routine with your particular concerns in mind. Generally, you want a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen to start with. The cleanser and moisturizer you can use in the morning and at night (unless you have dry skin, in which case, only use it at night), and sunscreen just in the morning.
SPF is the most important product for anti-aging, since a lot of visible aging is due to UV damage. Retinoids (retinol, adapalene, tretinoin) are the other ingredient family that have a lot of research backing them as anti-aging products. You have to use them consistently for 3-6 months before you'll see results. If you're going to use retinoids, sunscreen becomes doubly important because they increase your sensitivity to sun. Vitamin C has less evidence to support it as an anti-aging skincare product, but if it works for you, there's no harm in using it.
In terms of specific products, here are some things to look for and products that people typically like. If you love the products you're already using and they work for you, I wouldn't make any changes.
Cleansers:
Basically for cleansers, you're just looking for something that takes off all of the product or buildup on your face, and that doesn't make your skin feel irritated, tight, dry, or ‘squeaky clean'.
Cleansers that people typically like include: CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, CeraVe Foaming Cleanser, Bioderma Micellar Water, e.l.f Holy hydration! Makeup melting cleansing balm, Simple Micellar Water.
Sunscreens:
Look for a sunscreen that is SPF 30+ for UVB. There are a few different ways of measuring UVA protection, but generally you want something that's labeled PPD 8+ or PA+++, PPD of 8, UVA Seal, or a Boots star rating of at least 3. If you're in the US, products labeled "broad spectrum" provide some UVA protection, but it doesn't tell you how much protection you're getting.
If you're lazy (like me), you can find a sunscreen that's also a moisturizer. Make sure that you put a lot of product on, because if you don't use enough sunscreen, you won't get the benefits.
Sunscreens that people typically like include: Nivea Sun Protect Super Water Gel, Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence, Neutrogena Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid Lotion Sunscreen, Etude House Sunprise Mild Watery Light, and Eucerin Sun Fluid Sensitive Protect.
Good sunscreens that double as moisturizers include: CeraVe Ultra Light Moisturizer, Cetaphil PRO Oil Absorbing Moisturizer, Olay Total Effects Anti-Aging Moisturizer, Olay Complete Defence Daily UV Moisturising Lotion, and CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion AM.
Moisturizers:
Look for products with occlusives, which seal in water, humectants, which attract water to the skin, and emollients, which smooth rough skin and make it flexible and soft.
Moisturizers people typically like are: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel, CosRx Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream, CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion PM, Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion, Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream, Bioderma Sensibio Light, and the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream.
Retinoids:
Start by using a retinoid 1-2 times a week. You can increase it gradually if your skin tolerates it well, but you don't necessarily need to use it every day. Typically, retinol is a good place to start, since it's gentler than other retinoid options.
Retinols that people typically like include: Superfacialist Anti-Aging Serum (0.01%), Paula’s Choice Resist Intensive Wrinkle Repair Serum (0.1%), Paula’s Choice Resist Skin Smoothing Body Treatment (0.1%), Alpha Skincare Deep Wrinkle Repair (0.15%), SkinPrep 0.5% Retinol (0.5%), The Ordinary 0.2% Retinol, 0.5% Retinol, & 1% Retinol.
Last but not least, here are the products that I use. Like I said before, my skin is dry, and it's prone to redness if I'm not hydrating it frequently enough.
Cleanser: Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water
Moisturizer: CosRx Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream
SPF: CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with Sunscreen
I'm planning on switching out my sunscreen to the No Megumi Morning UV Protection Cream, which has higher protection (SPF 50 + / PA ++++). It's supposed to be a 5-in-1 anti-aging cream that replaces toner, serum, cream, hydrating mask, sunscreen and makeup primer, and that has 50 types of moisturizing ingredients for dry skin. I have absolutely no idea if it actually does any of those things, but I've heard great things about it as a product, so I'm excited to try it out.

A Guide to Taking Care of Your Skin
Your skin type matters
You may suspect you have dry, oily, or sensitive skin, but do you really know your skin type? Knowing your true skin type can help the next time you’re in the cosmetics aisle. In fact, using the wrong products — or even popularized Internet hacks — for your skin type could worsen acne, dryness, or other skin problems.
Read on to learn: how to build your own skin care routine
Building a daily skin care routine
No matter what your skin type is, a daily skin care routine can help you maintain overall skin health and improve specific concerns like acne, scarring, and dark spots. A daily skin care routine has four basic steps you can do once in the morning and once before you sleep.
 1.      Cleansing: Choose a cleanser that doesn’t leave your skin tight after washing. Clean your face no more than twice a day, or just once, if you have dry skin and don’t wear makeup. Avoid washing for that squeaky-clean feeling because that means your skin’s natural oils are gone. Cleansers known to work well for all skin types include Cetaphil and Banila Clean It Zero Sherbet Cleanser.
  2. Serums: A serum with vitamin C or growth factors or peptides would be better in the morning, under sunscreen. At night, retinol or prescription retinoids work best. Makeup Artist’s Choice has an effective vitamin C and E serum and retinol available.
 2.      Moisturizer: Even oily skin needs moisturizer, but use one that is lightweight, gel-based, and non-comedogenic, or doesn’t block your pores, like CeraVe’s facial lotion. Dry skin may benefit from more cream-based moisturizers like MISSHA Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Cream. Most brands will label their products as gel or cream on their packaging.
  4. Sunscreen: Apply sunscreen with at least 30 SPF 15 minutes before heading outdoors, as it takes a while for sunscreen to activate. Darker skin tones actually need more sun protection because hyperpigmentation is harder to correct. Try EltaMD’s sunscreen, which offers broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection and is recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation.
Choose products that fit your skin type and sensitivity, and remember to read the labels. Some products, such as retinol or prescription retinoids, should only be applied at night.

12 Passing Tips For Trans Girls (from my 2 years of HRT)
Tumblr media
(Disclaimer)
Passing is a tricky subject. Not all trans people want to pass, because some view passing as perpetuating the problems with our culture’s idea of what gender is—that it’s a binary, and those who are genderqueer or transgender are not valid. I totally understand that argument and actually agree with it! And yet, I also have to deal with the discrimination if I am not passing. Because, being cis and passing are privileges! And so . . .
. . . I want to provide some tips that I wish I had when I started transitioning. I think these tips are also good for people who identify as masculine but want to present as more stereotypically feminine.
1. Craft a Good Skin Care Routine
When I first started transitioning I saw a lot of youtubers really stress makeup for MTFs. For me, makeup was never really an option though, partly because I’m just not very good at it, but also because I hate the sensation of having something on my face that could rub off onto someone else’s clothes lol. So if you are like me, don’t worry; getting into a good skin care routine is just as valuable!
It took me a while to learn what an actual skin care routine was. I didn’t know that there is a basic form or order that everyone follows, no matter their specific products. I didn’t know that you are supposed to apply cleanser—let dry, toner—let dry, optional serums or eye creams—let dry, moisturizer, and then sunscreen.
(For anyone interested in specifics, my routine looks like this:
Cataphil Facial Cleanser, Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner, Optional Moisturizing Mask, ROC Retinol Corexion Night Cream (only at night), Cerave Facial Moisturizing Lotion
I personally haven’t found a facial cleanser as good as Cetaphil. I also haven’t found Toner as good as Thayers. Apparently toner is important for balancing skin PH before applying moisturizer. This can be a big deterrent for acne and decrease overall irritation of your skin, also smoothing out the appearance of pores. I love Cerave moisturizers because they have 3 ceramides that help maintain the health of your skin’s barrier, which also can help get rid of pimples and generally soothe your skin. And I use Roc retinol because I wanted the strongest over the counter cream I could get. It’s never too early to start anti-aging/blemish correction/pore minimizing treatments lol)
2. Keep Your Eyebrows Subtle
One thing I do that’s different than when I first started is with my eyebrows. I used to idealize a very thin brow and a high arch, but I don’t anymore. I think I went overboard with my brows and ended up looking less natural and more startling than I wanted to lol.
3. Pick the Right Hairstyles for Your Face Shape
So, if you talk to hairdressers, stylists, or people who went to beauty school they will tell you that, in theory, “ideal” feminine face shape is the oval and that female celebrity hairstyles often accentuate this shape in order to create the most flattering or feminine appearance possible.
So, for the girls who already have a super oval face, you don’t really have to do much I guess, but I definitely was not in that category.
I, like many trans girls, have a more square or oblong face and, consequently, I benefit from having hair that is shoulder length or longer, with some layers (especially around the face). Alternatively, you can pull pieces out of your hair (when it is pulled back) to fall around your face and frame it. This helps to not only make my head look a bit smaller (cis women usually have smaller heads than AMABs) but also created a more rounded, ovular shape.
Another thing that I find helps me pass is wearing my hear up in a high bun. This might seem counterintuitive since you would think that it would make your head seem bigger, but I think it actually helps to create that oval. I hardly ever get misgendered when my hair is up.
Tumblr media
4. Consider Getting Fringe (Bangs)
Trans girls (especially those who transitioned in their 20s or later, like me) sometimes have a more pronounced brow ridge. This is literally just one the results of testosterone on the skull. But one easy and cute way to “correct” this, is to get medium length or long bangs. It not only hides that brow ridge but also can make your face look a bit smaller. If you think they look too boxy or thick, you can always have the stylist thin them out or put layers in them. This can look really pretty and natural.
For me, even though I don’t currently have bangs cut into my hair, I still like to pull my hair back or up and then pull pieces out to a kind of long bang section. I think it can look feminizing.
Tumblr media
5. Go Retro with High Waisted Pants
Another anatomical difference between AFABs and AMABs is the length of the legs compared to the length of the torso. AFABs often have longer legs and proportionately shorter torsos. But don’t fear, this can be “corrected” with with some careful wardrobe choices.
High waisted pants make your legs look a bit longer and your torso a bit shorter, which is ideal. If you are having trouble keeping high waisted paints up, you can wear a belt. I personally like high waisted pants because, unlike when I wear leggings, I don’t even have to tuck to look ultra feminine.
Tumblr media
6. Pick Up Some Crop Tops and Half Shirts
Along the same lines, crop tops and half shirts can make your torso look proportionately smaller. These can be combined with some leggings or even flowy pants that you pull up above your hips.
Tumblr media
7. Have Fun with Heels or Moderate Platforms
You get the idea; giving your legs a boost will make your proportions match that of most AFABs better.
I personally like platforms because I don’t like wearing heels for an extended period of time but I can totally rock my platform slip-ons and boots for dayzzz.
8. Embrace Oversized Sweaters and Shirts
Oversized sweaters can actually make you look smaller, and can hide broader shoulders, especially when they are worn open with a cute formfitting top underneath or even just a camisole.
9. Wear Perfume or Body Spray
This is something I just got into recently. I think it’s one of those finishing touches that can make a big difference. People aren’t going to think you are man when you give off the most beautiful subtle scent of white jasmine lol.
And you can find a scent that feels right for you. Maybe some of them feel too feminine and that’s ok!
10. Get Into the Small Details
Along the same lines, a lot of the small details not only make you less likely to get clocked; they also make you feel great! For me this has involved doing my nails, wearing dangly or hoop earrings, and getting a few rings and bracelets from plato’s closet. (They have pieces there for $1 or $2! It’s fun!)
11. Don’t Be Afraid to Work on Your Voice
When I first started transitioning I literally felt dysphoric just thinking about my voice, so for anyone out there with the same experience, don’t feel bad! It’s ok to ignore your voice, but it’s also ok to work on it.
I watched sooo many youtube videos and even went to voice therapy, but at the end of the day, I found that just speaking the lowest part of my falsetto (that sort of weird mickey mouse voice) eventually led to me settling into something that sounded more passable.
12. Just Have Confidence and Be Yourself!
I’m sending so much love rn to all of you girls. If you want to chat more or anything, or just need some support, just send me an email [email protected]
I’m a dork, but I’m definitely myself.

Want to get clearer skin? This post would surely help you!
1. ALWAYS wear SPF
Using SPF 30+ is highly recommended, especially if you live in a hot, sunny area. SPF would protect you from harmful UV rays, thus reducing sun damage and marks.
2. Moisturize!
If drinking water is not enough, moisturizing your skin TWICE a day would benefit your skin and prevent wrinkles.
3. Invest in a cleansing brush
Using a cleansing brush such as Clarisonic would help you remove dirt and buildups more effectively than just using your hands and cleansers.
4. Do weekly face masks
It is recommended to use face masks twice a week. You can switch up different types of masks each time to rejuvenate your skin. My favorite is this Aqua Capsule Mask.
5. Drink a cup of green tea everyday
Drink a cup before you go to bed, or right in the morning. Green tea is great for your skin as it helps prevent aging and sun damage.
6. Exfoliate weekly
Exfoliating at least once a week is a great way to remove dead skins and buildups that can cause acne. It is important to note that the maximum amount of time you should exfoliate is twice a week, as over-exfoliating can cause damage to your skin and age it. My favorite product is Klair’s sugar scrub along with it’s deep cleansing oil.
7. Wash your face twice a week
You should’ve been doing this already. Wash your face in the morning and night with your cleanser and you’re good to go!
8. Use vitamin C serum
Vitamin C is beneficial for your skin as it hydrates, reduce wrinkles, redness and hyper-pigmentation! I use Klair’s vitamin C serum.
9. Wash your pillowcase monthly
This is extremely important because having a dirty pillowcase would still give you acne despite you following all those steps.
10. Use jade roller
Jade Rollers can be found anywhere, it helps reduce inflammation as it improves the blood circulation in your face, as well as encouraging lymphatic drainage which detoxifies your skin.
11. Try out detox water
Detoxifying is essential in getting rid of all the harmful toxins in your body. You make one at home by following a recipe, this is one is my favorite.
12. Layer your products from the thinnest to thickest
This is essential in helping your skin absorb the products. You should start off from toner - serum - eye cream - moisturizer - spot treatments.
13. Use non-foaming cleansers
Foaming cleansers do more harm to your skins than good. Non-foaming cleansers won’t strip your skins of it’s natural oil. I use Cetaphil!
14. Use spot treatments
These are essential in removing those pesky pimples or acnes you have. I recommend using Mario Badescu’s drying lotion.
15. Start getting facial treatments
The best way in achieving radiant skin is getting a facial appointment. Nothing you can do at home can replace professional care.
16. Drink lots of water
You may have heard this hundreds of time, but hydration is the key for glowing, radiant skin and better health!
17. Use face mists
You may get sweaty along the day, using a face mist would help restore your skin and make you feel better overall. I’ve been using Mario Badescu’s rosewater facial spray.
18. Use vitamin E masks
It is a great combination with your vitamin C serum as the mask would with preventing UV damage. I’ve been using Klair’s Vitamin E Mask.
19. Always remove your makeup
But don’t use makeup wipes. It is better for your skin to use an oil cleanser instead as makeup wipes tends to strip your skin of its natural oil.
20. Get enough sleep
Like they said, you need your beauty sleep. A good 8 hours of sleep is enough to improve your skin!
21. Reduce junk foods
What you eat plays a big role in your skin. If you eat junk food, your skin would be junk as well. I’ve noticed how better my skin got once I stopped eating greasy foods.
22. Take your vitamins
If you’re a picky eater like me, I tend to avoid eating my greens, which is why I take vitamin supplements to help me get those missing vitamins. Vitamin A, C, D and E are crucial!
23. Know your diet
While I was using all products that can possibly help cure my acne, I’ve been eating foods that causes acne as well. It varies from person to person, personally, I noticed that whenever I drink cheap coffee, artificial sugar or eat spicy noodles - I tend to get a massive breakout.
24. Pat your products
I found that gently patting your products onto your skin is more effective. I’ve stopped using cotton pads for my toner and used my palm instead, this is the same for my serum where I lightly pat around my face until my skin got supple.
25. Use curology
This is a last resort. I’ve been trying everything and I still have breakouts. Once I started using curology, my skin instantly got better!

Read on to learn:
how to     build your own skin care routine?
how to     treat specific skin concerns like acne or scars
which DIY     skin hacks aren’t healthy, even if they seem to work
Building a daily skin care routine
For all skin types
Stay     hydrated.
Change     pillow cases at least once a week.
Wash or     wrap up hair before bed.
Wear     sunscreen every day and apply 15 minutes before going out.
Start with a basic and simple routine to see how your skin reacts. Once you’re comfortable, you can then add extra products such as exfoliants, masks, and spot treatments to boost your skin’s health.
And don’t forget to patch test new products, especially if you suspect you have sensitive skin. This can help you identify potential allergic reactions.
To patch test a new product:
Apply a     small amount of product on your skin in a discreet area, such as the     inside of your wrist or your inner arm.
Wait 48     hours to see if there’s a reaction.
Check the     area at 96 hours after application to see if you have a delayed reaction.
An allergic reaction may include irritation, redness, small bumps, or itchiness. If you notice these symptoms, wash the area you tested with water and a gentle cleanser. Then return the product and try another that better suits your skin type.
DIY hacks to avoid (even if everyone does it)
People report wonders from using DIY hacks like lemon juice and toothpaste for common skin problems like acne bumps and dark spots. Even award-winning actress Emma Stone claims her skin care secret is baking soda. But the truth is these hacks may cause more long-term harm than benefit because they can damage your skin’s barrier.
Avoid these DIY hacks
Lemon juice: It may have     citric acidic, but it’s far too acidic and can cause dark spots to appear     after sun exposure. It can also dry and irritate your skin.
Baking soda: At a pH level     of 8, baking soda will stress your skin, significantly decrease your     skin’s water content, and cause dry skin.
Garlic: In raw form,     garlic can cause skin allergies, eczema, skin inflammation, and watery     blisters.
Toothpaste: The     ingredients in toothpaste may kill germs and absorb oil, but they can also     dry out or irritate your skin.
Sugar: As an exfoliant,     sugar is too harsh for the skin on your face.
Vitamin E: Topical     application of vitamin E can irritate your skin and is not proven to     improve scar appearance.
Some of these ingredients may be all natural and cost-effective, but they aren’t formulated for your skin. Even if you don’t feel immediate side effects, these ingredients can cause delayed or long-term damage. It’s best to use products formulated for your face. Talk to your doctor or dermatologist before trying DIY applications on your skin.
How to treat skin problems?
There are ways to tackle skin problems without damaging your skin. Just remember the number one rule of skin care: Don’t pick! Picking at acne, blackheads, scabs, or other skin problems can cause open wounds or darker skin spots known as hyperpigmentation. Open wounds can lead to infections, more acne, or scars. The deeper the wound, the more likely your skin will scar.
Here are some scientifically backed ways to treat problem areas.
Acne
Acne treatment depends on how deep or serious your acne is. Overall skin care is the most important step in treating acne, but for mild acne you can use nonprescription products from your local drugstore such as:
salicylic     acid (Stridex maximum strength acne pads)
benzoyl     peroxide (Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 acne medication)
alpha     hydroxy acids
adapalene
tea tree     oil
Always apply sunscreen after using these products in the morning, since they can cause extra skin sensitivity.
For immediate, inflamed, and individual pimples, you can also try acne patches or stickers. These are clear, thick patches that work as spot treatments to help promote blemish healing and prevent infections. Like blister bandages, acne patches pull out the fluid, sometimes overnight. It’s best to use these before you sleep as makeup can’t cover them.
Sebaceous filaments
Sebaceous filaments are tiny, cylinder-like tubes in your pores that are whitish yellow. These are often confused with blackheads, but blackheads are actually a type of acne that’s oxidized. Sebaceous filaments can make your pores look bigger, and you may be tempted to remove them by pinching your skin or using pore strips. But these methods may have more side effects than benefits for your skin, especially if you don’t do them properly.
Overtime, you can also cause:
irritation
open pores     and infection
dryness
redness
peeling
Topical preparations containing retinol or retinoids can help keep pores clear and clean. You may also find benefits from massaging your face with mineral or castor oil for one minute.
Another way of removing sebaceous filaments is with an extraction tool. This is a small metal instrument with a tiny circle at the end.

Skin Care Products of 2018
Estee Lauder Innovative Evening Repair
When we sleep, blood circulation enhances as skin and body makes to fix itself. Any products we use during this time also usually process better, hence why it’s essential to use skin lotions and serums in the evening as well as during the day. The Estee Lauder Innovative Evening Repair serum uses skin’s fixing activity in the evening to push it complete of the offerings it needs. This item uses the company’s branded ChronoluxCB Technology to provide components like acidity hyaluronic deep into your skin layer where it can have the biggest effect. Hyaluronic acidity has the amazing ability to maintain up to six liters of water. When converted to skin care, this means it can keep skin effectively moisturized by securing in wetness. It also has the benefit of plumping up facial lines to get them to better and less described. Other substances consist of bifida ferment lysate and tripeptide-32.
Tumblr media
Chanel Red Serum
Chanel’s Red Serum skin care lines are fascinating. The substances in the face serum and eye lotion come from what the organization phone calls “blue areas,” areas in the world where people usually live longer. Costa Rica, Sardinia and Portugal are the vitamin c serum for face particular places Chanel has selected to utilize components from. These elements are natural java (from Costa Rica), Bosana olives (from Sardinia) and lentisk (from Greece). Green java is high in anti-oxidants, which battle the toxins that harm tissues and break down bovine collagen to lead to facial lines and dropping. The organization uses a branded Polyfractioning removal process that results in natural java with 70 periods more anti-oxidants than regular java. Bosana olives contain fat and polyphenols to help keep skin secured from ecological contaminants and UV harm.
Chanel Le Lift
Le Raise is one other Chanel skin care range, this one appealing to specifically focus on dropping and lax skin as well as facial lines. The range features serums, skin lotions, oil-creams and eye care. Primary components add a “potent extract” from the Edulis morning hours wonder place. Chanel researchers have used this component to certain a substance they claim is “50 periods more focused than the unique compound.” The substance, called 3.5-DA, enhances overall tone, companies and hydrates.
Cetaphil Relaxing Epidermis Cleanser
Cetaphil is an increasingly well-known and affordable pharmacy brand that may seem too good to be true, but it’s not. This is a very gentle, non-irritating system that can be used on all kinds of skin. Containing only eight components, this cleaner thoroughly purifies while also soothing and guaranteeing skin isn’t removed of its sebum. Each of the components in this item are propylene glycerin and salt lauryl sulfate. Propylene glycerin is a well known skin-conditioning broker you’ll find in the components list of a ton of beauty and skin care products. Sodium lauryl sulfate is what causes the foaming and washing action in this soap-free system.
Charlotte Tilbury Miracle Cream
Charlotte Tilbury has dealt with a multitude of superstars in her fabled profession, and she knows a little something about what works. Her Miracle Cream is a very moisturizing moisturiser dearest by designs and stars and complete of proven what work, such as supplement E, acidity hyaluronic, proteins and organic ingredients and natural oils. Vitamin E is an effective anti-oxidant that helps reverse toxic harm. It’s vital to push your skin layer with anti-oxidants that reduce the effects of toxins. If left uncontrolled, toxic harm will run widespread and then create skin age much quicker than it usually would. Hyaluronic acidity closes in wetness to give skin that charming plumpness and to sleek out facial lines.

Help I Start School Tomorrow: A Check List
Do you need some sweet ass advice from somebody who’s spent no less than 18 years struggling through the muck of academia? Of course you do! Here’s a handy-ass dandy-ass guide to wtf should be going on in your pre-school prep!
Let’s get started~
Tumblr media
1) What should I do with my day before I go back to the hell hole that is school?
I’m glad you asked! Do things that make the start of the semester feel like a fun and luxurious adventure awaits you! Especially for college and university people, the start of the semester loses pizzazz with age (and time).
Hype yourself up with some simple self care, these things don’t have to be expensive or cost anything at all if you can utilize what’s lying around in your kitchen, bathroom, neighbour’s house or wherever.
Wash your damn hair! Shower and take all the time you need, shave if you want to while you’re in there. The goal is to feel fresh and a lil less greasy the next morning.
Are you a lazy ass that doesn’t have time to moisturize? Me too! Get some Nivea in-shower lotion if you can, and before you towel dry douse yourself with baby oil gel (or literally just some olive oil or coconut oil- whatever you got lying around). Show yourself some love!!
Now is a great time to style your hair for tomorrow and protect it with a low pony or a night cap, btw
Do a face mask! Do a hair mask! Do a foot mask! Do whatever tf kind of mask you got handy! Use foods from your kitchen, or try Freeman masks they’re around 4$ each. Dollar store prices, department store quality.
Take an hour to fix your nails, toe nails, wax the stache or do any body maintenance you usually do. Pretend you’re going to a sick ass party and you’re grooming your meat vessel to perfection.
Lay out your sick outfit for tomorrow- pro tip: you want to be comfy and functional on buses/trains/on foot or however you commute. Think hard about the kind of weather you’ll be up against, and the general state of the terrain on your commute. Put your outfit on a hanger so it’s ready for tomorrow, even if you can’t do this every night during the school year it’ll get you in the right mental state to have your first day
Prep your meds! A big part of feeling good is taking our medications on time to reap their maximum benefits. Put them out on your kitchen counter if you think you’ll forget, go through your medicine cabinet: is there anything you need to remember to take with you to have during the day? Set alarms on your phone if (like me) you’ve got pills to take at different times of day- label them something that you’ll understand. (I use the names of the doctors that prescribed them so I know which pills are physical health and which are mental health).
Pack your lunch for tomorrow. Fruits and veggies bitch none of this “I’ll buy it when I get there” nonesense. Remember to stay hydrated! Bring some kind of receptacle to hold water/tea/coffee whatever. This is a solid habit to have year round, but remember the first couple school days can frazzle you pretty good and it’s good to have snacks on hand.
CLEAN YOUR GODDAMN ROOM. You’re gonna be shooketh in a bad way if you wake up on the first day of classes with a messy bathroom and shit strewn all over your sleeping space. Take all the time you need to put things lovingly away, if you’re feeling ambitious update your calendar and spray a little room spray or light a scented candle. Ooh la la
Do something fun. Do something distracting. Go out with a friend, read a book, take a couple hours of ‘me time’. You’ll be ready to die for it during the semester.
Feeling nervous? Call literally anybody you can stand to talk to for more than five minutes. Talk about dogs, talk about boats, ask them to guess how many jelly beans you’re holding right this second (sike b the answer is 0)- take a couple steps away from the whole school thing.

2) What the hell do I put in my backpack??
So this is where I fly into an unGodly rage. I’m so tired of seeing Instagram posts telling people their make up, perfume and breath mints are the most important of their school arsenal. What’s gonna save you when you bleed through your pants at school cause Aunt Flo decides to come chill on campus? Your perfume? Unlikely.
Here’s the real tea on what you should have in your bag, based on years of oopses, dire situations, and general mishap management.
A pencil case. Preferably full of writing implements. I can’t believe I have to tell people this but like......I do.....y’all childish
MEDICAL BAG: A small pouch is all you need! Tuck this away in your bag’s inside pocket, or in your purse, it could save not only your life but somebody else’s too. Get your prescriptions you need throughout the day like inhalers, anti anxiety meds, lactose intolerance pills, Imodium, symethicone etc.
Pack some ginger gravol (or regular drowsy gravol) for motion sickness or for when the flu season hits
Benadryl pills (and your epipen if you have one!) this is one of those things you should always have lying around at home and in your car
Alcohol swabs and band aids of your choice. Most pharmacies will sell 100 swabs for around 3$, look in dollar stores for discreet 1st aids packs and band aids. Stash them in your little pouch, it might not be you who falls down a flight of stairs and needs to bandage up their elbow- but at least you can help. (Based on a true story!!!!)
Panty liners/ tampons/ pads- this is another one of those things that others may benefit from
Get yourself a mini deodorant (3$ at Walmart) and wrap your hair ties around it. Double trouble, double storage capacity!
Tylenol/Advil, hunt around for little plastic pill holders like Pill Pals, they’re not usually more than 2 or 3 bucks and they hold A TON of pills
Vagina Bonus Round: do you take birth control? Have a tube of Canesten/Monistat/Vagisil or whatever for when the yeast season is upon us
Remember to carry your hospital card and/or medical insurance card on you at all times
Pharmacies will give face wipes individually wrapped for free. Usually brands like Cetaphil will dump them off as testers for customers- ask your local pharmacy cashier for stuff like mini hand creams, spf lip balms and face wipes. We’re happy to give them to you and you’ll get some real use out of them!
ASS WIPES. GET SOME. You can wipe down your bag with them, wipe down tables with them, flush them, and do all kinds of damage control. Trust.
Emergency money- the medical bag is a great place to hide emergency money (think bus fare, or 5$ for emergency food) because people are unlikely to rob what looks like a 1st aid kit

3. Friends come and go but portable chargers are forever- you can find cheap key chain ones at dollar stores. If you’re going to spring for one that lasts a few days on one charge I suggest the OKZU from Amazon. It’s HELLA SLIM and I can hold a charge for about 3 days before it reaches even 75% battery capacity. (It’s also the most budget friendly I’ve found to date about 14$ after shipping).
4. Remember make up, gum, little travel items and perfume can have a place in your bag but I would suggest transferring as much as you can into smaller and smaller containers. A whole bottle of perfume is a lot to carry around, imagine a water bottle bouncing around your bag- that’s the kind of space you’re using up. Be mindful of just how many books/ copy books/ textbooks you’ll be toting around and if it gets to be too much- get an actual tote!
5. A little clip on hand sanitizer never hurt anybody...also Kleenex I promise you’ll use it. (And if you don’t I’ll be there to borrow it lmao) ALLERGY SEASON BONUS ROUND: a small bottle of off brand artificial tears are great to stow in your glasses case for all those shitty October mornings where your eyes refuse to act like eyes and not the Sahara Desert 🐫 off brand artificial tears run for between 2-4$ at most Walmarts!

3) I’ve used my last 24 hours to get my shit together- but I have a horrible impending sense of doom! What should I do?
Ah anozzer day in bikini bottom, which means another day of crippling anxiety for 25% of adult Canadian students! (Wow that’s a lot of students!) Boy do I know how tough it is to be thrown back into the pressure cooker of life that we call school. Here are some tips from me to you that I hope help a little bit:
I believe in you! It’s not a tip, but I want you to know that I do. If you’re feeling unsure/ silly/ out of your element/ etc think about me wandering around just as confused as you are! And have a good laugh at my expense! Shoot me a DM, scroll around my nonesense blog- wow check me out I’m a real living person and I made this post for you- because why? I care about your well being! Sometimes it just helps to know that there’s somebody out there thinking about you and wishing for your safe return home at the end of the day~ for the start of your semester I’ll be that person. *smooch*
Arrive early! My therapist once told me that rolling out of bed five minutes before I have to be somewhere limits my chances of having a calm and meaningful experience where I’m going. I hate to admit it but she makes a good point. Wake up early and do something nice for you: have breakfast, just sit on your balcony and breathe some fresh air, pet your cat and gaze upon their stupid face. Take the time.
Arrive early BONUS TIP: get to where you’re going an hour early and just wander! Window shop, roam the building, learn where the fire exit is, sit outside on a bench and watch the students come in and out. The longer you chill at school the homier it’ll feel, and the more you feel at home somewhere the more you feel at ease. Strike up random convos with strangers if you’re feeling brave, or text an understanding friend to meet you there and roam alongside you.
Plan your day! Get an agenda if it’s in your means, or just scribble on some scrap paper. Make your grocery list, write your tasks of the day, your goals of the day, or even just a positive affirmation. Sometimes even when I know exactly what I’m doing that day, or have something trivial to do (like laundry) I’ll write down “do laundry” to feel like I have a clear path to follow.
Embrace your local accessibility Center and school councellor. Don’t live in fear of the resources your school provides. It seems scary/embarrassing/weird to have to have special accommodations to deal with your anxiety or depression but GIRL once you’re all set with the appropriate tools there’s truely nothing that can stop you. This was my experience anyway, but I strongly urge everybody I meet to take advantage of school services and wring them for all they’ve got. They’re there for you boo!
HOT TIP: feeling dizzy and overwhelmed on the bus? Look at the wall or something that isn’t moving. DONT LOOK OUT THE WINDOWS AS THIS MAKES DIZZINESS WORSE. Breathe in 2 beats and out 3 beats- this cuts your fight or flight. If you’re going to drink take small sips out of a straw or without moving your head. My GP gave me this advice and it’s saved my whole ass quite a few times.
Download free apps that are anti anxiety in the form of fun games. I’ve had positive results with Viridii (where you grow a little succulent garden) Tap Tap Fish (basically you’re a sentient coral that decorates the sea floor) and Polytap (you basically count the vertices of spinning polygons). A cursory google search will reveal more fun games for emergency anxiety relief! I also like to go on YouTube and search for positive affirmation anxiety videos, or storm/white noise/ ocean anti anxiety sounds the night before to get me in the right headspace to sleep!

So this has been your lightning round/ crash course for what to do the 24 hours before school! I hope you feel a little more prepared to take on the start of the semester!
A dios hoes!!
