not to su post again but stevens whole Situation is so bizarre . like from the viewer’s perspective he just mirrors a regular kid so it makes sense for him to be weird and awkward in a relatable way but also . in-universe there is Literally no one like him . like ok he’s half gem half human and doesn’t really fit in with either group (obvious analogy for being Mixed & it works) but also his mom is one of the most beloved leaders AND most hated war criminals AND most revered & grieved for monarchs (ofc there’s the thing of not being able to live up to ur parents but Good Lord) but ALSO his mom isnt actually totally dead because his human body is more like a homunculus that his mom’s soul co-habits and he relives some of her life through dreams and some people still treat him like her (identity crisis in The Most fucked up way) and to top it off as a 16 year old he gets that infamous uncontrollable fear & anger but in a way that’s unignorable and incredibly destructive . bro rips off a freezer door bc he saw a glostick . turning pink and changing shape and leveling a house with a shout . obviously obviously it’s that thing of going from a Good Kid tm to lashing out & making terrible decisions but not even getting the dignity of being able to hide it ?? that’s such a jarring existence !!!

It began as peculiar happenings and hushed, frightful whispers. Sightings of armored figures moving through the wilderness, and a sudden, strangely shaped eclipse in the skies. Inciting fear among the villages scattered across the region. Many of the settlements were rural, having been spared from both the galactic war, and being subjects to the rule of either the Empire or the Republic. So much as anything remotely outside of the mundane warranted that they remain within the confines of their villages' borders.
Vasta, however, had not felt the same concern when the warnings reached her ears. She had not been born to this world's sheltered meekness. By right, her inheritance was arrogance and apathy. And it was that arrogance that made their paths cross. Her's — and an Imperial's.
Vasta had seen the like before already in the years before the Republic's new reign. Though clad in armor haphazardly mended together, it was evident that she was in the presence no common trooper. By his unique face-like visor, the signifying markings on his helmet — But most of all, the manner in which he carried himself. His very presence commanding obedience, awe, and terror.
Yet even this had not stirred the indifference from Vasta's being. Her eyes quite obviously sized him up as she made no move to flee, nor offered any word towards the trooper. After all, Imperials were little more than scavengers. Tyrants stripped of their glory and purpose, and left to scrape up the barest of survival in the new era. No — Even this one in all his crumbling glory, was not worthy of her fear. ; @lmperiums.

mischaracterising dick grayson’s robin as a feral, violent pseudo murderer because profound hope and perseverance in the wake of immense loss is apparently too complex of a character arc

You know what @f4nd0m-fun I literally finished this last night, so here, have the lil baby hydra. From several prompts.
They're still mostly baby colors, which is all monochrome, but are juuust starting to get more colors like their underbellies and their heads are starting to lighten up, but will start shifting color eventually.
Which makes me wonder what kind of thing might happen if someone tries to study the realm hydras....
(Also have a prompt in the tags lol)

TEST DRIVE TEST DRIVE TEST DRI-
I have so many thoughts about this entire sequence, from the way Hiccup and Toothless get along to the MUSIC- (the music analysis is going to my tags)
.
But im gonna talk about Toothless pov again
I always think of this is like, the forbidden friendship scene for Toothless the way the actual forbidden friendship was for Hiccup
If Hiccup's scene was Toothless connecting to Hiccup through human things (sharing food, smiling, art and all that)
Then this scene is Toothless' because Hiccup connects with Toothless through flying, something I've always headcanoned to be what dragons (the ones that fly anyway) need not just to survive, but to live and bond with others.
if Hiccup's FF is the beginning of the potential then Toothless' FF is the "end", the moment where the potential is found and fulfilled, the thing that really solidifies their friendship because both has now experienced and accepted the other's unique sides
Just, yeah Toothless sees Hiccup just getting it, understanding why flying is so wonderful, hearing him cheer and whoop in joy like a fledgling's first time in the air, and seeing him at the end instinctively understand what to do-
Like that sudden spin near the end of the sea pillars- and both of them looked surprised they even managed to do that together instinctively- when just a few minutes ago Hiccup couldnt even dodge the two very obvious sea pillars in the beginning
He looks up at this human, this strange clever, brilliant little human who has somehow made this even possible, who has broken every preconception he has, who is now flying with him with a dragon's instinct but baring his teeth in that human way of expressing joy, screaming something he could not parse perfectly in his dragon tongue but understood the meaning all the same.
"We did it."
