Thank you Dungeons And Dragons, for giving a penurious trans kid in suburbia a place to let her imagination run wild, and explore aspects of herself in safety.
Your existence has been rife with missteps and moral panics, just like mine, but here you are 50 years later, still being fun.
Keep rolling those dice and dreaming big.

How do you HC them getting together?
Oh that's a tough question
Like I love any kind of way they would get together whether it be from an accident, on the battlefield or just, happened "naturally'
But I LOVE the headcanon that Scout just casually walks up to his camper and starts talking to him for no reason
Like Sniper would just be chilling and leaning on his camper one afternoon and sees Scout walking up to him and starts a conversation about the battle earlier morning or just anything that comes to his mind
At first Sniper would be so confused, like why tf would Scout just suddenly start talking to him after who knows how long they've worked together
And Scout would be like 'Idk I thought you were just lonely' or 'your really cool so I wanted to talk to ya'
And Sniper would still be confused but is like okay then, and lets Scout talk, listening intently or not (mostly listens all the time)
And it just develops from there
Scout would come by at some point of every day and talk to Sniper, maybe invite him over to the base since he doesn't usually eat with the others OR Scout just brings any leftovers
Sniper would still be awkward but calm about it, responding to Scout with either shrugs, humming, and sometimes even laughs at his dumb jokes
And eventually, it grows from there.
Scout would eventually grow on Sniper and would grow fond of having him over at his camper and filling the silence
He even starts talking back with actual sentences, and even starts telling Scout about himself since he found out that Scout was so open and free about telling Sniper about himself.
I don't really care who fell first between them, but I feel like it would be Scout who fell first, but Sniper fell harder.
Thanks for the ask anon! :]

Feeling blue?
One of my favorite pictures of Michael C. Hall (for “Bullett” Magazine) shot by Doug Inglish in 2011.
