Genuine question: why do you avoid/dislike fankids so much?
With how creative you are, I'm sure any fankids made by you would be really cool
Oh it's not that I hate or dislike fankids at all! I actually LOVE fankids. That's the danger. I will end up skipping the entire story arcs I have carefully developed and slam head first into domesticity with the munchkins.

i was the one that made the waterparks consumerism tweet and while it did open up some much needed dialogue with other parxies that felt similar, it was insane to see how hard some people were riding for him. i feel like some people don’t realize that criticism ≠ hate or trying to ‘cancel’ him and tbh his behavior online and parxtwt in general is a huge reason why i’ve taken such a step back from parx as a whole.
this one right? yeah pretty simple but straightforward point but i feel like the critiques of this tweet kinda ignore the way awsten sort of looms over the fandom in this really panoptic way to encourage both interaction and consumption with him and his projects for the validation of a notice or hug at m&g maybe but most likely, the perception of getting “close” with him.
and let’s be real in the right headspace, he likes attention and takes it in any form he can have it until he has to turn around and condemn the parasocial relationships he fostered once the lines cross to get actually harmful to him - iz

‘Wolsey always said that the making of a treaty is the treaty. It doesn't matter what the terms are, just that there are terms. It's the goodwill that matters. When that runs out, the treaty is broken, whatever the terms say.’
It is the processions that matter, the exchange of gifts, the royal games of bowls, the tilts, jousts and masques: these are not preliminaries to the process, they are the process itself.
— Hilary Mantel, 'Wolf Hall'

Interview with the Vampire is really confirming that so long as an adaptation has a vision and is fun to watch I will buckle up and let it do its thing. I have an extensive list of complaints and quibbles that did not stop me from having a fantastic time and may have actually enhanced the experience. 10/10 deranged pining, Lestat's gay Catholic rage was a fun choice, and the devoted, obsessive infatuation hit my personal sweet spot, which is what I was most worried about. You see what Louis gets out of it and also what it costs him, and it sells the first part of that equation enough to keep me invested without brushing aside the downsides of being literally stalked and eaten. An earnestly horny and goth adventure! Very fun.
