There’s a $500 laptop at the phone store across the street that would let me stream and start making money and building my community again, but realistically I can’t afford to spend that much money in one month, that’s more than my rent.
I know this isn’t the best cause or most important thing ever but I’ve had the same shit laptop that barely functions for 5 years now, and it’s probably going to die soon anyways, in which case I will be completely fucked as I am disabled and can’t make it to most in person jobs, I mostly work from home when I’m employed. Plus you know, there’s that whole thing where my entire life is online and all of my relationships are long distance.
So yeah, if you have a few spare bucks I’d really appreciate it if you could throw some my way. I can also do writing commissions for you for any fandom and premise if that’s something you’re interested in.

I did my first presentation at a conference today and I was so nervous!!! But I made it through without issues, phew
#and now I feel so proud of myself lol#not for the presentation itself or even the work i presented#but for overcoming my fear of public speaking#there were over 500 people from 34 country in the audience#plus it was livestreamed and recorded#and i had to speak for half an hour lol#but afterwards so many strangers came up to me and complimented my presentation#and asked questions and were super interested#normally i'm an introvert and hate talking to strangers#but not gonna lie that was an amazing self esteem boost#now off to a party!

People who are smug about their skill in ovw are the same ones who are low gm and smurf in plat and diamond because they can’t feed their own ego when getting dunked on by players of their own skill level
#they’re only smug because they intentionally associate with people worse with them#people who are good at the game but aren’t smug play with their friends in qp. using a smurf to play comp with friends who are lower rank#is just boosting. it does more for their ego than for their friendship#c talks#longass edit on accident:#*the ones who play exclusively comp without smurfing/boosting friends also aren’t smug#unless they’re making fun of the people lower than them even in gm#seeing someone get made fun of for being ‘hardstuck’ 4100 is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen#like that’s still extremely rude it means they’re good at the game and most likely still have a life at the same time#but it’s just. an extremely funny insult#you do have to keep in mind that gm was not an equal playing field#it’s the highest rank sure#but with SR you have to remember that each rank was separated by 500 sr#and in some games you could have a majority of players who are essentially a rank ‘above’ gm (4400-4500) while still being gm#that’s where the t500 distinction kinda showed#bring back SR I hate the league style system. I guess it’s obviously not just league but it was superior 😭
