this one may be a long shot but i figure i might as well try; im trying to find a beetlejuice fic i read around, i want to say 2021? 

i remember it being a multichapter fic, likely beetlands, and bj had the ability to sense potential upcoming deaths as part of his guide gig. outside of that, the clearest event i remember is lydia and beetlejuice going to a bridge which proceeds to collapse, dunking them both in freezing water. 

i don’t remember anymore than that but if this reaches anyone who might know the name id be incredibly grateful!

The story, in brief: I had the brilliant plan to write three,-- that's right, count 'em-- THREE different Beetlejuice ships after my current Gen-fic series, because

Spite! since ship hate of imaginary characters is silly, I wanted to spite all the haters by spreading looooove 😘

I thought it'd be fun writing practice,

and two/three of the ships could possibly serve as a "choose your own sequel" to the gen-fic series, depending on the reader's preference,

But then my friend 💘fell in love💖 and infected me with her ewwy-gooey lovey-dovey cootie germs, right around the same time I saw the Musical live... so I jumped ahead on my plans and wrote Musicalbabes before I could write the Beetlands and KeatlejuiceXMiss Argentina fics.

So... expect that to come out soon! 🥳 Should be fun.

Mind you, I fully intend on writing those other two ship fics, they're just a lot... more difficult. Adam and Barbara are hard to write!😫😭 I'm working on it, dammit!

And I haven't had a chance to practice Keatlejuice or Miss Argentina yet. Only so many hours in the day, you know?

She was in a rather unpopulated part of the room, backed into a corner by a greasy-looking man, close to Chuckle's age. Maybe a little younger. He had one hand pressed against the wall and his opposite leg pressed against hers, effectively pinning her in place. Beetlejuice's eyes narrowed as he approached unnoticed. "Stop it, creep," Lydia spat as the man's free hand landed on her waist, and Beetlejuice didn't care who saw as teleported over. No one messed with Lydia, especially not gross old men who couldn't take a hint. She was a child for fuck's sake.

Beetlejuice is lurking around the Halloween party when he hears Lydia start yelling. When he finds her pinned against the wall by some creep, he takes matters into his own hands. No one, and he means no one will ever lay a hand on Lydia and walk away unharmed.

(Just as the three of them were all snuggled up in their group hug BJ felt a sharp pain rang through him as a rush of liquid escaped him. Barbara and Adam both jumped back as BJ clutched his stomach)

Adam: What was that?!

BJ: that would be my water breaking A-dog, which means the baby is coming!

Barbara: (excitedly gasps) did you hear that Adam the baby is coming!

(both of them become equally excited until reality sets in)

Barbara and Adam: THE BABY IS COMING!?!? (Barbara and Adam start to panic as Beetlejuice rolls his eyes and snapped his fingers causing them to freeze)

BJ: all right you two this is no time to panic, let’s just take a deep breath, get to the Netherworld hospital so we can enjoy this beautiful moment

(he said smiling while rubbing his belly)

BJ: AAAAAAAGGGGHHH!!!! THIS IS SO NOT A BEAUTIFUL FUCKING MOMENT!!!! (Beetlejuice screams out in pain as he’s lying on a hospital bed sweating bullets while Barbara and Adam are on both sides holding his hands trying to comfort him)

Yk I actually feel stupid rn like I realize I have two friends who are into beetlejuice but I keep the ship to myself cuz I dont even have to ask to know they consider it pedophilic or simply platonic but idkk it feels bad fangirling about the same things but keeping one of the best parts of it away from them I’m not sure if I’m making any sense but I realize how much of this whole beetlebabes obsession I’ve been doing alone, when I’m used to talking abt it with my friends it feels bad but jsjdjdj sorry I just wanted to know if it’s just me but. Yeah. Not saying I wanna stop liking it by any means but if I liked it less maybe it would be easier being the only person I know in real life who likes this ship as well? But it’s difficult

It's so sad that fandom can split friends these days. Honestly, it says a lot about what people find important. Fandom shipping really shouldn't be a factor. Let me tell you a quick story about how fandom affects my friendship. My best friend and I are into another cartoon fandom. He ships canon and I have a preference for the BFF's who both spend the entirety of canon simping after characters who are obliviously annoying. I love that comradery between the two friends who are constantly trying to support each other in heartbreak. My friend has a total right to ship the canon. I have the right to break the canon ship up and let the sappy romantics fall into each other's pathetically hopeless arms. Both of us also have a right to lovingly give each other shit about it. And we do. We have whole ship wars on Twitter and in real life. We also have a bond that means that we can razz the fuck out of each other. Call names and at the end of the day, he is still my best friend.

Some may even find us shippable.... and I would say heeeeeellllll nah. I love him.. but he is my bro and we argue over ships and canon all the time. That right there is real friendship. If I dumped his ass over a cartoon what would that say about me? Or him?

Petty and trivial. Lack of trust? He wouldn't know me and I wouldn't know him. If your friends see you as a problem for a cartoon/movie/musical, then there is something deeper going on. Disclaimer here; I am not a therapist. I am not a relationship coach. But I am a mother, a wife, a friend, and a big sister to 7 younger buttheads who I adore with the loyalty of a rabid monster. I have many relationships in my life and if any of those relationships end, it's not due to fandom. However, I have lost fandoms over heartaches. That could be the real danger here. The fandom you love may only be here a short time but linking a friendship to a fandom is dangerous. If the friendship fails, it may be difficult to enjoy the shows you once associated with them. My best advice is to continue what you love. The people who care about YOU are the most important and if a stupid thing like a shipping war destroys that, then the friendship was not strong to begin with. Now, this goes for my Babes here too, who I know are brilliant and wouldn't do this anyway... I hope. Don't drop people because they like BeetleTina, Deetzlands, Goldenrat/Beetlands or even Lydia/Oc & Bj/oc. These trivial ship wars are not important in the real world. It's not worth breaking your heart or your friends' hearts over something like fandom. Keep your heart safe. Talk to your family and your friends.
