'yeah u gotta not directly tell ppl that ur in romo with them immediately because...'#culturally it signals like. moving too fast or it's seen as embarrassing or you gotta do xyz things first #my sister advised me as a teen that in her experience and opinion - delivered like the words of a sage - if someone is bad at kissing #then they are bad at sex #(me [a kissing repulsed aro person who enjoys sex]: uhhh)#and honestly like. especially when viewed from the outside those things are fuckin wild #like... my mom came from a tiny backwoods type of place in [redacted]#and when i moved to [redacted] and one of the biggest cities in my state (though tbh not that big actually lol)#it caused all sorts of fun. she thinks it's exceptionally rude that not every single person on the street smiles and says hi #if there's not a crowd #she also gets really upset that service workers are less likely to make small talk #and both of those come from City Etiquette being more about like... not taking up ppl's time and attention and that being respectful #like smiling and saying hi to every stranger on the street is... honestly gonna be seen as a Huge Danger thing #and service workers do not have the *time* at most locations to chat with you - especially if it's busy - and it's seen as disrespectful to #both the workers and the people in line behind you to insist on it #but from her POV with Country Etiquette #this is equivalent to like. getting slapped in the face and told that you are specifically mad at her #and she gets legit anxious about it in a very 'this means i fucked up' way

I love their relationship so much #luz really went from calling Lilith a bitch in the only way the disney channel would allow to being like. okay she's pathetic #in the first few episodes of season 2 and then by elsewhere and elsewhen when Lilith is visibly doing better luz is so supportive #of like. her new job and hobbies and stuff #and Lilith is still the same cringe fail slug woman we all know and love but she cares about Luz!#she wants to help her and share her interests with her!#they're so lame together and I adore them soooo much. adhd and autism best friends forever (real)#this was a quick doodle that i put way too mucn effort into colouring and posing wise to not post #I'm proud of the shading not bc it's especially intricate or pretty #but because the process was entirely me colour picking each individual colour and futzing with it until i got coherent shading #it's not something i do often but i love to practice it cause i feel like it improves my colour sense #and also allows me to micro manage the palette #like how Luz's azura outfit and the inside of her mouth and Lilith's skin are all the same shade of off-white #BUT i gave Lilith's a warmer shading tone (bc it's skin and has blood beneath it) while Luz's teeth has a yellow shading cast #(since that's the colour teeth turn w/o enamel and most ppls teeth is a yellowy off-white anyway) and then Luz's outfit has a teal cast!#bc i wanted white fabric to look different to pale white skin or teeth #that's such a niche thing to have fun doing and appreciate abt my own work but like. it's there!#I'm not a master of colour by any means it's just nice to be able to do that

#more than acofaf even. the love story of the wurst is what dreams are made of #emilymurph sitting next to each other...skip straightest man ever prince of alien slugs learning to be free bc of the crew...gnosis...#best on average npcs. lucienne plug bambi leroux the butch at the space station fuckin space heiress trust fund baby bajar crunch moon jone #and this is not to say ANYTHING of how good the characters are.#they could keep making d20 seasons forever and starstruck will always be a cut above the rest because of how fucking good the setting is #like with crown of candy even tho i loved it sm i feel like some politics were discarded in favor of the others; all out war was eh to me #the build up to a war tho? now that's interesting that's where the juice is basically i wanted asoiaf book one vibes with this cast but #that's a matter of personal preference! i don't feel like acoc did the most that could've been done with a “politics” campaign #dimension 20 #dropout.tv #a starstruck odyssey #because of their deep investment in the world and the genre it never feels like starstruck couldn't do anything. it feels limitless!#season two...god if they never do one that'd be such wasted capability #ik fantasy high is so beloved and it is a beautiful lasagna of time and playing style but if i could get multiple seasons w starstruck...#the thing that makes asoiaf asoiaf is that we have a similar level of insight into the minds of baddies like the lannisters as we do into #the minds of the clean jesus allegory starks. and in acoc the “worst” character we got from the heroes was lapin n even he was aligned #to the rocks' cause. saccharina WAS a rocks -- that was her whole deal -- and even then she wasn't a morally reproachable character bc #she was right! i wanted acoc to be down and dirty and when they said ravening would be i was excited but even that turned out to be them #destroying a secret cult which was going to kill the world. no really down low shenanigans!
