The hazards of perfumes containing Lyral include the potential to trigger contact dermatitis or other allergic responses in sensitive individuals. It's essential to be cautious when using products containing Lyral, especially if you have a history of skin allergies or sensitivities. Always perform a patch test before using a new perfume to reduce the risk of adverse reactions.
Yes, that's correct. In 2019, the European Union's Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) recommended banning Lyral due to its potential to cause skin allergies and sensitization. As a result, the use of Lyral in cosmetic products was prohibited in the EU starting from August 23, 2021. This decision was based on the understanding that Lyral can cause allergic reactions in some individuals, and the EU took this step to protect the health and safety of consumers.

These days after Christmas are hard. Not only we have Post-Holiday Blues – who doesn’t miss getting together with family and friends? - The holidays pass by so fast. Now, we are kind of stuck. The first days of the year seem dull and in Northern countries, cold and short, really short since mid-November and our bodies crave sunlight.
THE BEST ADVICE I GOT IS “GET A SUNLAMP” TO FIGHT THESE MONTHS OF WINTER BLUES! I can say, my life has changed dramatically -for the good- since I started this habit every year from OCTOBER ‘TIL MAY.
IT IS A GAME CHANGER! It is the consistency: for 30 mins before 11am and your body will feel refreshed and ready for one more winter day.
You know we care and if there is ONE THING I WOULD LIKE YOU TO TAKE IN FROM MY JOURNEY IS TO BUILD THIS SMALL HABIT. EVERYTHING CHANGES. YOUR MINDSET. YOUR OUTLOOK. YOUR SMILE.

It starts with a feeling.
It starts with a feeling. A negative feeling you don’t recognize at first. You try to avoid it, shake it off, but it persists. It persists so hard that it affects your mood, your energy levels, your interactions with people, your self esteem… The truth is you’re trapped. You’re trapped within yourself and you’re drowning so fast that you don’t know how to come back to the surface. Next, you acknowledge you have a problem. You then try to tell yourself it will get better, you will find a solution, things will change, circumstances will change, the right people will appear, opportunities will come your way. Quite frankly, opportunities only come your way when you have made up your mind. So how do you make up your mind? How do you find that one thing that you’re supposed to do? What if you never find it? What if nothing ever changes? What if you never live upto your potential? What if all these years pass by and you’re still the same person in the same place, only with less time left on this planet. How come nobody recognizes your efforts? How come nobody is helping you achieve all the things you aspire to achieve? Why is life only unfair to you? WAKE UP. The only person that can help you is YOU. The only person you owe an explanation to is YOU. The only person who can truly hold you accountable is YOU. The only person that you have to live with for the rest of your life is YOU. And the guilt, the trauma, the pain, the let downs, should be fuel to your engine. Take care of that engine, take care of the only thing you can truly control; YOU. So take charge of that negative feeling, break it down, find its root, and then come up with solutions. Clever solutions, strategic solutions, realistic solutions with attainable results. Make it happen. Not tomorrow, not next week, but NOW. Because NOW is all we truly have. And your now determines your tomorrow. It starts with a feeling. Make that feeling count, shift your focus and thoughts, and that feeling can become the best reason to keep going.

Rachel Carson, Silent Spring published September 27, 1962
There is no way I can adequately express my gratitude to Rachel Carson for her courage in researching and publishing this wake up call to humanity on this date in 1962.
I have so many thoughts about Silent Spring, so much emotion about her message and how close we came to allowing political and financial influence shepherd us over the hill to our destruction.
Today I focus on the work itself, Silent Spring, written from the perspective of a well educated researcher who spent years studying human-inflicted abnormalities in our physical environment, particularly those introduced via soils, rivers, and aquifers.
Rachel Carson identified patterns and drew conclusions that could not be refuted. She saw an urgent issue and made sure the right people were informed and motivated to care.
This challenge faces us today. And it’s significantly more complex after almost 60 years. How do we get enough people to care, to shift public opinion? How do we convince people that prevention is key to our survival?

Have you or someone you know had your account hacked? 😮Virus protection/security company, McAfee, says 22 percent of Internet users have been hacked at least once & 14 percent have been hacked more than once. I’m in the 14%. 🙀 My Facebook account was hacked 🕶️and I found out through friends who could tell by the stuff being posted on my feed that it wasn’t me. 🗣️ It’s a freaky sensation. Friends on IG have had their accounts hacked or impersonated. 👯 It’s hard to understand how it happens, like, why do people do this!? ⁉️ With impersonators, new accounts look identical in every way usually with a small modification to a username. 👬 If we see their avatar among new followers we might not notice and follow again. A couple of friends have had to start over on IG ▶️ which seems like a pretty depressing prospect. 🕵There are tons of articles that will tell you how to get your account back but I’m not sure they work, because if they did, people wouldn’t have to start over! The research takeaway is to protect your account to prevent it from happening in the first place. 🔐 Probably most of us are being careful by doing stuff like: --Use a strong password that is unique to every site 🔒 --Don’t share your password 🤫 --Use two-factor authentication (2FA) when it’s available 2️⃣ --Close accounts you don’t use 🗑️ --Use a separate email for your social media accounts 📧 Two other protective measures include: --Don’t allow tagging, and 🤳 --Make your account private ⛔ I won’t incorporate the last two measures, but the others are sensible things to do to help prevent losing an account.
