Okay so I’m like. At least 80% certain that the only Baudelaire Esmé knew the name of was Violet

Certainly, in TEE, she doesn’t say Klaus or Sunny’s names once, but does say Violet’s name, even when talking to all three of them:

“Violet and what's-his-name can each take a crate of soda, and Jerome will take the rest. I guess the baby won't be very helpful, but that's to be expected. Let's get a move on.”

I haven’t checked the other books yet but even if she learned the other siblings’ names later on... how come she knew Violet’s back in TEE?

Personally this only supports my theory that the schism (or at least, the final blows of it) happened after Violet was born, and now I’m imagining Esmé meeting baby Violet and like. I’m sad. What if she knew baby Violet? What if they got along? What if she was Aunt Esmé?

And then, a decade later, after everything’s gone terribly wrong, Esmé sees Violet again. And ‘Aunt Esmé’ is just ‘Mrs Squalor’ to her, and they came so close to being so close, but life got in the way, and now she’s just a small part of a big scheme

That being said I am going to limit it to 2-3 characters from one source

They do not have to be canonically Jewish, it can be up to your interpertation, headcanon, coding, etc! Just in the case I don't know know the character give me your personal reasoning, or let me know if its a headcanon or if its canon too just let me know then (bc i made it required on the form)
