Created a fakemon,,, it is called Pallidrip inspired by Pallid bats and water,,,

Based on a Bat fish, a generic bat, and a sea butterfly

They're incredibly friendly creatures, tending to watch over sleeping pokemon- however their bright colours warn others of a threat, so many pokemon see Pallidrip as stalking their prey while they guard the vulnerable pokemon

It is Water/Fairy type,,, looks poisonous but that is for safety reasons

Fake ghost type bat Pokemon, they start off as baby bat's naturally they float around all wrapped up in their wings like babies bundles up in a blanket and I imagine their noses are brightly colored almost looking like a binky/dummy that bundled babies usually are seen with. They're also meant to be orphaned bat's as they're often seen swaddled in blankets and suckling on a dummy for security. Presumably they're the reborn spirits of Zubat/Woobat ect or even Golbats who ate too much blood and got predated on themselves. When approaching someone they will open their wings to spook them with their eye patterns because as babies/kids and well ghosts they think it's funny and likely passively absorb life force via the scare to keep themselves going.

Baby bat evolves into troubled teen bat naturally. Its not on these sketches but I did add a little baby tuft of hair to explain this next appearance.

They're now significantly more roughed up, other pokemon and people didn't appreciate being scared and the child not knowing better became attacked frequently resulting in a traumatised aggressive teenager. Their wings are meant to represent like delinquent collars/jackets and their chest fluff the white shirt visible underneath. They have grown out rebellious hair and a claw for rude gesturing and eyeliner. But despite their tough appearance and behaviour they're a quite sad Pokemon they don't understand why people treated them that way they're alone and scared and hurt and angry, hence the miserable wet bat in the rain.

Now this line probably like Zubat can only reach its final stage via human intervention/care, and the final sketch isn't finalised but I'll likely never go back to it so here they are troubled teen to caring parent

My thought process is when with a human trainer who cares about them and loves them a lot the human would try to help fix and heal their Pokemons damaged wings and basically they go from a blanket baby, ripped fabric teenager to quilted bat adult. Their wings have been stitched up into big cushiony soft duvets, and they've probably honestly gotten a new plush body that they've possessed/joined to making them Ghost/Fairy because like blankets feel fairy type to me so it's a big soft plush blanket bat who wraps up little babies in her wings and cooes and kisses them with the old eye pattern being used on her belly pouch the menacing eye replaced with a heart as she's full of love or something. Wholesome like arc keeping part of her past self and fabric while becoming something new. Basically orphaned to troubled teen to plush mommy pipeline. There was gonna be an alternative design take where they probably become Ghost/dark and fully embrace the dark edgy teen and probably possess leather to become harder to damage maybe ghost/dragon like thick dragon hide leather so orphan to troubled teen to leather daddy pipeline. Basically ya either get a soft quilted parent or a leather hided beast and like I want both thanks unfortunately no leather bat design as I didn't do it the inspiration died. In game you probably need to use like needle and thread item on ur teen bat to turn them into duvet soft blanket evo and probably some kind of leather item for the leather beast form.

After working on them for years, I finally have settled on the final starter evos for my Okeno dex! Yipee! I decided to try making full design sheets for them. It's such a fun exercise to really hone in on the details and making sure the design works from different perspectives. Getting the details to be all "on-model" throughout them is also very rewarding, I hope I did a good enough job! dracuzotz

based on Desmodus draculae, a giant bat with a 80cm wing span that went extinct somewhere around the XIX century, its known from most of latin america and fed on blood, i made this version a speculative terrestrial bat as its based on a legend that might have been started by the presence of Desmodus draculae

camazotz was a deity of death and sacrifice adopted by many prehispanic cultures, the name is K'iche for kame=death and sotz=bat, it took the form of a humanoid bat and there where multiple cults formed around him

It's time for the grass starter Hierbat! Based on the Mexican Free-Tail bat whose largest colony is in Austin Texas. It's home to 15 MILLION bats which makes it the largest concentration of not only bats but of mammals on the planet! When these bats take flight, their colony is large enough to pop up on weather radars!

haunted woods pokemon that are related but don’t evolve into eachother

Haven't been online to post in a while due to family stuff, so why not share a new fakemon?! This is Shadonar, a concept I came up with for last Halloween, but just now finished. It's a cave-dwelling bat pokemon that can't see or fly. It uses echolocation to hunt down lost pokemon and trainers in dark caves.

Pokemon Challenge 2024! #1081 Peka.

Peka is a Flying type based on the New Zealand short-tailed bat or pekapeka. Pekapeka are endangered all over NZ like a lot of our other natives due to introduced predators and destruction of habitat. Pekapeka are known to sing to attract mates, and I think this is such cute pokemon behaviour - imagine one of these little round dudes singing a little doot doot tune from a comfy tree perch!
