Hello! Can I request romantic pairing Billie Jenkins and Hope from Little Box of Horrors?
Pairing: Billie Jenkins / Hope
Universe: anyone remember that shamelessly self-indulgent spin-off AU idea?
Facing five (basically) charges with expressions ranging from apologetic shame to amused remorselessness, Paige felt the urge to apologize to her sisters for her when she was a newly discovered witch, along with a migraine coming on. Balancing the baby in her arms, she sighed, "Why?"
All five exchanged looks, and both Hope and Billie went to speak. Migraine immediately worsening, Paige hastily cut them off, "Nope, I don't want to know actually. We will deal with the demon."
Billie immediately protested, "But we're the one that found it! You can't just sideline us-"
"Oh, don't worry," Paige interrupted. "I fully intend for you guys to be involved."
And without further conversation, she dumped the baby in Billie's arms, getting a bit of amusement at how quickly Billie's eyes widened with panic. "Take care of the baby for now, while we deal with the demon."
Without giving any of her (sort of) charges a chance to argue, Paige orbed out.
"Was she... serious?" Darcy asked slowly.
~
"I cannot believe that they ditched us!" Billie ranted, pacing back and forth the dorm room.
Hope considered pointing out that they were getting supplies for the baby or that Billie had very clearly tried to join them, but it seemed easier to let the other woman continue her rant. Bouncing the baby gently, Hope had to admit that it had been their fault, so it made sense that they dealt with the baby. Still, she just hoped her dad wouldn't ask about the credit card transactions later.
"I mean, who does that?" Billie gestured wildly. "Just run off and ditch their friends!"
Hope smothered a smile, temporarily hiding her face against the baby's head. As if Billie wasn't the first of any of them to ditch the rest to rush headfirst into any demonic or magical or dangerous situation. Maybe it'd be more irritating if Hope couldn't sense that Billie was hiding her panic at dealing with the baby through exaggerated outrage. Still, her arms were starting to get tired, and this had been all of Billie's ideas.
Standing, she shushed the baby quietly as Billie turned again, taking advantage of the witch's surprise to place the baby in her arms. Billie took her automatically, expression frozen in panic. Hope couldn't quite control the laugh at that.
"Have you ever held a baby before?"
Glancing down at the baby, Billie hissed through her teeth, "No! In case you missed it, I was an only child!"*
"Clearly," Hope said dryly. "Didn't you ever babysit or anything?"
Billie gave her a look, and Hope had to cave on that. Billie was a lot of things. "Babysitter material" was definitely not one of them. Sighing, she stepped into Billie's personal space, cooing fondly at the baby as she fussed.
"You can't be scared of her, Billie," Hope gently reproached. She reached out and adjusted the way that the witch was holding the baby, making sure that Billie supported her head and neck. The baby settled in the more comfortable hold, and Hope smiled. "See? You just need to relax. Try rocking her."
Billie stayed tense for a moment before letting out a deep breath and stiffly rocking her arms. After a minute, when she seemed to realize that she wasn't going to spontaneously drop the baby, Billie relaxed into it.
Hope hummed under her breath, a little lullaby that seemed to soothe the infant. Billie slowed to a stop, and Hope looked up into the other woman's face to see why.
Billie was watching her, pale skin flushed red. Hope suddenly realized that she still had her fingers curled around Billie's arm, squarely in Billie's personal space. Despite the realization, she didn't move or let go of her.
"You're good at this," Billie said with uncharacteristic quietness. Hope couldn't quite read the look in her eyes, but something about it made her hesitate to sense Billie's emotions.
"I babysat. A lot. In high school," Hope spoke as quietly as Billie did. Something about it felt like if she spoke too loudly, the spell would shatter.
Billie's eyes flickered down and back up again, seemingly without realizing. Hope's breath caught.
"Okay, so we got- hey!" Speed was cut off with a suspiciously screeching sound as Darcy grabbed the back of his hoodie and yanked him back.
Blushing hard, Hope stepped away from Billie and turned to her friends with a bright smile. Darcy was hissing something in Speed's ear while Max slowly eased around them into the room. Arms laden with bags, he offered them to Hope, eyes flickering between the two women.
"Everything okay?"
"Just peachy," Billie said shortly, turning away.
Hope couldn't help the surge of disappointment before pausing. Disappointed? Why? Because they'd been interrupted? From-
Oh no.
Hope had a crush on Billie.
* this can be taken in that either Billie doesn't remember Christy or hasn't told the others about her yet

few things about my silver portrayal:
i really, really enjoy the fact that his backstory was never really revealed and so the events of the show became his backstory, so i won’t really be specifying exactly what happened, except a few key details.
like john silver isn’t his real name. and honestly, he’s not even english. i’d say he was born in spain, but i don’t think he considers himself spanish, or anything at all. at the very least, he won’t say.
he was on the ship captured by flint for like, few months, maybe.
i read him as a trauma survivor. what kind, i have my ideas but won’t be divulging, i just know that whatever happened was likely a series of convoluted events (probably) that were traumatic in their simplicity (or not). it’s just as likely it was a series of unrelated things (or exactly the opposite). it doesn’t matter.
well, it does, in a way. mostly because this inability to have some sort of self-reflection caused so many problems, a lot of which ended up causing a lot of things that happened in the show, that ended badly for him as well.
has no self-reflection, in fact. none. like for example, he’s unaware that he’s so far in the closet he’d rather kill the one he loves than perceive it. he was used to skirting outside of stories, something that ended the moment he became long john silver.
he has too much pain tolerance for someone who says the opposite. the thing for me is that no one who’s this unattached, this survivalist, this desperate for any control, with truly nothing to his name in the world he’s from can be well-adjusted. it’s a harsh life and he has no idealistic views on it, at all, unlike the people he grew to love. in fact, he didn’t know what to do with love when he experienced it, because he didn’t know it before.
just because he loves someone, doesn’t mean he won’t betray them or try to decide for them what’s best. he did both. both were done to him.
he tells the truth, sometimes. it’s just hard to say when. sometimes only bits of it are true.
he learned to read because it was useful to know. it may have been in a church, though he has no religious bone in his body.
he and madi never married. i don’t think it was possible after he betrayed her. it was just easier to call her his wife, later, than to explain the complications of their situation.
he stayed close. then disappeared again, to come back again. their relationship was never the same afterwards and he could no longer be truly anonymous.
he came to bristol first, alone, because she asked him. it took him days to get the inn. by then, he learned to cook years ago, and the rest came easy. she came later, not particularly happy about it, because it wasn’t safe to stay behind for some time and she had to lay low.
he named the parrot after flint because he is a little bit pathetic.
everything that happened with jim, the hispaniola, with the treasure and the island, was because he found maybe one (1) self-reflection within himself and it caused a bit of a spiral. he went back on the account, because what transpired before mattered, actually, like flint said and he realized too late.
it’s hard to say whether it helped or exorcised any of his demons at all. likely not.
he bonded with jim by accident, despite all the things he’s done and the fact he got caught in his spiral. something about him reminded him of something from the past.
he says flint is dead, but he isn’t. not literally. not figuratively either. obviously.

Omg ok for Stranger Things: 1, 6, 8, 16 and 21 let's GO!
I love Stranger Things let’s go!! This got hella long so I put a break in. I have a lot of feelings and I think way too much.
1) the character everyone gets wrong
- Billy easily. Especially here unless you find the right people. Billy Hargrove is such a dynamic character and everyone keeps calling an abuser and such when he was the one who was abused. Plus the Suffer Brothers (duffer brother. Around here I call them suffer bcs they’re trash) didn’t even fully flesh out Billy’s character and if it weren’t for Dacre Montgomery we wouldn’t have gotten shit. Sorry for the tangent I have a lot of feelings about Billy.
- side note on this question. People also get Eddie wrong in my opinion. Everyone constantly tries to make him into a savior or a victim of circumstances or just a lost soul type of character. Like yes he kinda is a victim of circumstances. But not totally. His uncle was a good caregiver from what we saw but Eddie still sold drugs and most likely did drugs (the ketamine was in his personal belongings for christ sake). Stop making Eddie into a saint and stop making Billy into a demon. They’re two sides of the same coin if you actually sit and really compare them.
6) which ship fans are the most annoying?
- worst ship fans have got to be Steddie (Steve/Eddie) fans. As someone who does ship Steddie, the loudest fans are so toxic. I remember there was a fandom war bcs Harringrove (Steve/Billy) was the biggest ship on AO3 so Steddie fans flooded the tags with basically filler fics to pad it out. It was insane.
8) common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about
- So I don’t interact with much ST fandom anymore but the biggest opinion I disagree with is that Billy is racist and homophobic. Like. Dude was an abused child and heavily queer coded so I don’t personally see the homophobic. I’m not a POC so I can’t really say much about the racism opinion other people have. However. I don’t see how Billy acts towards Lucas as racist. I see it as an older sibling interaction. His first encounter with Lucas is Lucas stalking Max (the kid Billy is put in charge of and if he loses or let’s her get hurt he will be hurt). So do with that what you will.
16) you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
- I don’t understand why people love to characterize Steve as an asshole all the time. Like yeah he was kinda an asshole in season one. But after that he wasn’t that bad. Especially when he learns Robin is a lesbian. He could have a complete dick and ruined her life but he didn’t. Instead he chose to keep her secret and keep her safe.
21) part of canon you think is overhyped
- The whole Mike/Eleven relationship is so over hyped. First of all those are children. Second of all. One of those is an extremely abused child who doesn’t understand relationships and definitely shouldn’t be in one. Idk I find their whole relationship really weird and it kinda gives me the ick. Same goes for people pushing the Mike/Will relationship idea. It’s weird.
