I got myself a CYTOYS Hani Sweet Dreamland single box from Amnz, to try my luck at getting one of the two boys. I thought my chances were greater than with the other series, from which I did managed to get one of the boys as my one single box purchase (so far). This one has only four regular characters, two girls and two boys. So, I thought the odds were at my advantage (more so than with the smaller dolls, and I was so lucky then). Despite me having terrible luck at these trading figure type toys. DX I didn't get either of the boys this time! I got the adorable hamster, that is "non/officially" called "Cute Hamster," but confused for a bear, apparently. Lol! She is super adorable, and just confirms that I must get the two boys, somehow. I know how to get the exact characters I want, i just wanted to try my luck! And it failed me, so now I'll have to go get the two boys without trying any of my terrible luck. at least now I know I'll love the boy ones, because I love the little hamster girl, and I didn't even want any of the girls! (:

I was surprised at how big these are, I knew they were larger than the other CYTOYS series, but they are kind of huge, and I am pretty glad I decided to get this random one. I'll definitely need to get my two boys home soon! I know I'll be in love with them, because I sincerely love this girl so much. I love the size, the proportions and aesthetics as a whole. I knew that the moment I saw the promos, and protypes. In hand however, these are so much more substantial. These are impressive dolls, I regret nothing!

I like when they seems to change expression just moving a little de camera or the light. She is ready for the first firing now but I think I will not change anything else. My beautiful Jupiter came in the mail today! She is a Flower and Junior Mizi W head on a 42 cm Loongsoul body. I originally planned to have her on a Minifee Moe line, but the head was definitely too big for such a small body. ^^

BJD pricing help!!

So I need some help with pricing a doll I'm going to sell... I do t have photos yet because I'm still cleaning him but here's some info: - he's a DoD Yu, so he is MSD size - he's 8-9 years old, so he's YELLOWED. Thankfully though I think it's a pretty even yellow (there are two spots on his headcap where some Velcro was and you can see the difference. It's pretty impressive how much the color changed actually. I plan on posting a pic of that as well) - his seams have not been sanded, and his joins show a lot of small scratching from being posed, which I assume is normal. I did not suede his joints. - his lips have been modded (vampire fangs ((yes I was one of those)) and then nodded back to normal) photos will be provided of that as well - I'm really not sure yet how good the modding looks, I haven't looked in years, especially with no faceup - he will come blank, with a pair of eyes, his second set of hands, and in a box with pillows. - his string is fairly new I really didn't do much at all with him except change his face a bit, and have him sit on a shelf. I don't remember how much I paid for him initially, and I don't know how much to ask for him now. (Especially since the site is no longer selling dolls for the time being, apparently??) I'm trying to get back into the hobby and I'm hoping to sell my Yu so I can get some cash to finish the other dolls I've got! Any advice would be great! Also when I get pics of him all cleaned up I can post those, as well.

Experiment results and color reveal! . . So, brushing out dirty locks before washing them works well, though I lost a bit more than expected, around two grams from the ounce I brushed out. It’s negligible since I got 99.9% of the full ounce left and it’s still enough to make 2 wigs! :) . . Color Reveal: ICEBERG! I played with some older hair dyes I have on hand and just dumped the locks into a goop of dye and conditioner. This left me with streaks of darker blue, lighter blue, and white. And some spots where the color turned greenish thanks to the fibre not bleaching out as much as I’d have liked.
