I modified my 3D artist OG-RE4 Leon S. Kennedy head sculpt. I also repainted him, for the gazillionth time, if that wasn't obvious. I have to say, modifying a tiny eyelid was pretty easy to do with the Vallejo Plastic Putty, the only issue is, it doesn't seem to sand all that well. It started to crumble when I tried to sand it. I let it cure for longer than 4-hours, when is supposed to take only one to two hours, according to Vallejo's own website. I had read mixed reviews about it sanding well, or not. I guess it doesn't? Kind of weird, considering it is meant to be filler for models, and then it goes without saying, meant to be sanded afterward for a perfectly smooth finish...?

Regardless, I feel it works well enough for me, for tiny modding projects. I am definitely going to use it again for my Leon, whom I feel happier about right now, but I still know that he's not accurate enough. He'll never be, because he wasn't sculpted accurately enough, and that's pretty sad. However, the only thing I can do is try to make mine as accurate as I can without having to pay someone else to 3D sculpt another one for me. I could try myself, but I live in the middle of nowhere and I don't want to have an adventure trying to figure out how to create a 3D sculp/mesh/file to then have it 3D printed somewhere. I haven't (3D) modeled anything in more than a decade. I feel like my old dusty 3D Max and Maya, are probably not it, for 3D printing and that's all I know. Since those were the programs, we were allowed to use in college, back in the dark ages. When I learned how to 3D model. I believe blender is the popular choice for 3D printing nowadays, but that wasn't allowed so I didn't even bother trying it. Of course, I am not going to be 3D modeling a head at this stage. I much rather mod this boulder of a 1:6 head sculpt. It's a huge head for what it is, and not accurate, but it's all I got! DX

I am happy that I found something that is less wasteful than a tiny .25 oz container of Aves Apoxie, and less expensive as well. I am probably going to try modding my Myou Bettina next, since I wanted to give him smaller eyes, but still don't want to waste money on Aves' clay, when I know I won't get even halfway through the tiny container. Now, I can actually try, without fear of wasting clay, money and possibly sanity. Modifying (relatively) tiny heads is a huge pain in the gut, but I still want my Leon to be more accurate, but not enough to pay anyone again for another failed likeness. I also want my Bettina to have much smaller eyes. He looks too baby faced for my taste. I do love my Leon so far, I feel he makes a gorgeous looking figure. However, I want my OG-RE4 Leon to be accurate and this is not it. I sanded his upper lid a lot, the 3D sculptor gave him te droopiest lids ever, I also sanded his jaw quite a bit -- Leon has a very roundish head. Not sure what the artist was thinking. I added an actual upper eyelid with the Vallejo putty, because the 3D-sculptor didn't give him any. Certainly not even close of an eye-shape as Leons, but I feel like I'm doing good progress. I wanted to see what the putty was like, before doing heavier eye mods. Now I kind of know, so I am comfortable moving on. I will try first on m Bettina, however, because that is an even larger head, with huger eyes to try plenty of times, without worrying too much about heavy damage (I hope!).

The 1st image and the last two were taken with my older than dust cellphone. I like the way those look, the "newer" phone adds a lot of noise/grain, for absolutely no reason, and also the colors are kind of gross, but they are all samsung phones, so I have no clue why the "newer" ones suck so badly -- I suck at taking photos as well, but I need all the help I can get. The "newer" phone, doesn't do me any favors. Sadly.

Closer, "clearer" photos of my Very Cool DZS-007 head sculpt, borrowing my Ken's DAM-toys body. He's painted a bit differently than the original release from 2015, if I recall correctly. I got that HS as a birthday gift, or Xmas gift from my BFF a few years ago. I had lost hope of ever finding a legit one for a decent price, so I had stopped looking, then I got him as a gift. Now I got this one myself to repaint, but I'm kind of second guessing myself a little. I love the sculpt, I think it's beautiful. However, I am not sure I love how they painted this one. I like the way they did the eyebrows better on the newer release, which is called "Holy Man Returns." I believe it is a character from a licensed Chinese computer game. However, I feel the first one looks more like a CGI character, and this one looks a bit too close to a real-life celebrity, and I am not a fan of that. I like the first release paint apps a lot better as a whole, particularly the eyes, lips and shading/blushing.

On the other hand, I got this one specifically for repainting, but this one is also really nicely painted, so I am a bit torn. I feel like I will end up repainting him anyway, because that's the reason why I got him, even if I regret it later. I can always try getting another head-sculpt loose like this one, but holey-freaking heck, these are so expensive already second market (he just barely released recently!). Kind of annoying that niche hobbies get such insane prices as there are more people interested in them, when I recall loose HS going for so cheap in the old days. (old-grumpy-fart-complaining-about-life!)

Last shot is a comparison between my own original release head sculpt of the "Holy Man" figure, and this second release. They both came with a sculpt with the eyes closed for the "deluxe" set, but I never had any intention of getting those heads. I kind of wanted to get one this time, but not at the crazy prices these are going for. I don't do fake copies, so the only way to get a legit one is for an eye off the face, and I don't feel like I can justify it. When it's just a pretty-looking sculpt for me, and not one based on a character I love -- just the opened eyed one is enough, I feel like.

Very happy with all these. As always, there isn't a haul that doesn't have at least a million Sasuke Uchiha related stuff.... lol! I never thought there would be so much released based on him alone, back when there was none...DX I'm not complaining, just saying, every other minute there's some new figure or sticker, or file or acrylic stand being released. I only wish I could afford all!

I'm super happy with the Shoto figure, but wish it was either larger, or the box much smaller. There was absolutely no need for the box to be so large, when the figure is so tiny! As a hoarder, MISB collector, I am not happy with unnecessary large figure boxes (the PUP ones are particularly irritating, at times!). Otherwise, I'm happy with all these purchases, the cute Eren plushie and the tiny Eren gashapon, despite the cost of those. T__T;;

I got a few dolls from Amzn once again. I still haven't lost all hope of getting Paula Purrfect from Nanana Surprise Minis series 2, despite having had zero luck so far. I haven't seen these being restocked at all in stores near me. I unfortunately didn't get her once again, from the one box I got from Amzn from series 2. I did get one of the four I am after from series 3, so that's at least some progress! Lol! I sadly haven't seen series 3 in stores near me yet. I'll probably have to go through hoops and loops once again, to get the other three I really want... such is my luck with these trading things! Sucks to live in the middle of nowhere sometimes! DX

I also got Strawberry Shortcake from the Loyal Subjects line of 5-inch action-dolls. She's adorable, I wish they had Rainbow Brite in stock as well, so I could have gotten her as well. Now I'm going to have to search for her everywhere else. *sigh*

I aslo got some acrylic resin Vallejo Plastic Putty, to see if I can manage to mod my 3D-artist PU-resin-cast RE4 Leon S. Kennedy head sculpt's eyes, to be more accurate, to the OG-game version. It's supposed to be used for filling in gaps in scaled models, but I just need a tiny amount of material to mod the upper eyelid. I am hopping this will work perfect for that. Since, I am not sure I could do so with Apoxie Sculpt, it's just too tiny of an area for my humongous human fingers to fit in there, and I'm pretty tiny for an old-fart-adult-human-female (barely 5-3" and scrawny as the dickens!). I'm hoping since this is a liquid that can be sanded after curing, I won't have to do much sculpting/sanding in such a tiny area. I wanted to get the Gaianotes putty, but I've lost all hope of ever finding that in-stock, since it is so popular with toy/model customizers everywhere, it seems. And not that many places carry it or export/import it. T___T;; I'll settle for whichever putty I can get my hands on, for now.

I got my Japan toy haul as well, as another VC head sculpt, so I'll be photobombing for a while longer! (;

I got myself a CYTOYS Hani Sweet Dreamland single box from Amnz, to try my luck at getting one of the two boys. I thought my chances were greater than with the other series, from which I did managed to get one of the boys as my one single box purchase (so far). This one has only four regular characters, two girls and two boys. So, I thought the odds were at my advantage (more so than with the smaller dolls, and I was so lucky then). Despite me having terrible luck at these trading figure type toys. DX I didn't get either of the boys this time! I got the adorable hamster, that is "non/officially" called "Cute Hamster," but confused for a bear, apparently. Lol! She is super adorable, and just confirms that I must get the two boys, somehow. I know how to get the exact characters I want, i just wanted to try my luck! And it failed me, so now I'll have to go get the two boys without trying any of my terrible luck. at least now I know I'll love the boy ones, because I love the little hamster girl, and I didn't even want any of the girls! (:

I was surprised at how big these are, I knew they were larger than the other CYTOYS series, but they are kind of huge, and I am pretty glad I decided to get this random one. I'll definitely need to get my two boys home soon! I know I'll be in love with them, because I sincerely love this girl so much. I love the size, the proportions and aesthetics as a whole. I knew that the moment I saw the promos, and protypes. In hand however, these are so much more substantial. These are impressive dolls, I regret nothing!

I got a MTM Barbie, so I could switch my HRR06's head sculpt on to it. However, I wanted to try the head sculpt on my World Box AT0203 body first. I was a bit fearful, that I would love the head sculpt on that body, because then I would have to get a second one... and I do! I love the proportions of this body better, and the color match is pretty much perfect to the pale WB body. The only issue now, is that I'll have to get another body because this one belongs to my Very Cool Miss Spetsnaz 1:6 female head sculpt. I don't mind switching heads on my larger figures/dolls to share bodies, but I don't want that for my smaller ones. More so if I want to display them (which I don't really want to ever do with my giant, heavy resin BJD). That's what I want for my tinier figures/dolls, so I need to get a second one for this head sculpt. I am not a huge fan of the MtM Barbie body, the tinier (than regular Barbie) feet bother me quite a lot. I also don't love Barbie's giant headedness in general, but I don't mind it too much on this doll, because she has a stunning face! DX

I got the MtM Barbie for a lot less than retail, so I don't mind just keeping it in-box. I don't own any clothes, nor have I sewn anything for the World Box body yet, so I just wrapped the body in pieces of PVC material I have stashed in my "maybe-i-can-use-this-somehow" pieces of scrap fabrics. I'm lazy, I could have made a quick set of undies. However, I am excited to make some clothes for this girl, once I get her a body of her own. It's going to be a pain in the gut finding one for what it originally retailed for, when tje body originally released last year. T__T;;

The head is a little large on the body, since the body is an actual 1:6 scale (action figure) body, and Barbie is not even close to those proportions, but I don't mind it too much. I do wish Barbie (as a doll line) got a smaller head, but I won't be holding my breath for that to happen, ever!

Just a few repetitive, craptastic quick photos of my Adorable Arts Sephiroth and Cloud Strife figures. I love Sephiroth, I wish they hadn't given him a side-glace, or at least given an optional head-sculpt, like they did with Cloud. I understand they gave Sephy his wing, but I can't say I wouldn't have preferred another head instead, or even multiple faceplates. His hair gets in the way of posing the head, unlike Mr. Terrible-Attitude-Strife, who has a very nice range of motion at the head. Sephy's luscious hair impedes any movement if any -- which is the case with most of the figures based on him at any scale, that have any movement whatsoever.

It was kind of a pain in the back, switching Sephy's arms and placing his wing on. I am not sure if it's intended to keep his arm lowered when he has the wing on. However, it can be done, so that's what I am keeping him like for a while. The wing is a bit heavy, so there's a support piece for it. Which I won't be using, because I know I'll lose it. However, I will keep the wing on for only a short while. I don't want to keep switching pieces, so I'll probably just display them the way they are now (default from box). I decided not to switch any parts on Cloud, because it was a bit annoying to do on Sephy. I know I always complain about lack of having optional parts, and now that I do, I don't want to switch them out. However, I am not a fan of how they decided to tackle the peg or the way the pieces attach. I can see it was a decent solution for such tiny figures, but it's annoying. It might just be an issue with my Sephy, and maybe it's smoother on other figs (maybe even on Cloud), but I am keeping them with the parts they have on now forever! lol!

I might switch the arms on Cloud someday, but I definitely want to not keep the wing on Sephy for a long time. I fear it might ruin the peg-hole in the long run without support -- I don't want that! These are adorable figues, as the series name implies. The Midgar background insert they come with is great for displaying them, or even taking crappy photos with, as I did. DX I'm very happy with these, I look forward to Vincent, and maybe Nanaki... I try not to collect Nanaki stuff, because I am a weirdo when it comes to animal-related toys. I am an animal lover, so anything that comes close to real animals or toys based on "realistic" animals, I avoid getting. They make me greatly depressed for some reason. Although I have always been tempted by Red XIII's figures, I always keep myself from getting any. Adorable Arts version of him, however, might be an exception, if they make one.

My February 2024 toy haul is here! Yay! Super happy with all these, of course over the moon with my Adorable Arts Sephys! As well as the tiny, tiny Sesshomaru hugcot! The Sasuke stuff is always welcomed; I am happy that I finally got one of those fancy acrylic panels, but sad I won't be seeing it, because it's sealed, and I'm a weirdo when it comes to sealed things... >___>;;; The Sasuke Colosseum fig I got from Amzn, and sadly the box is not mint. I got a few other prize figures I've been after for a long time (Len K.), and a double of the Araragi one, because I need doubles if not triples in my life... Lol! The Lulu acrylic stand has movable eyes, pretty cool! Also, super happy with the Artorias, tiny-chibified version of him! (:

I'm done with my GDToys Sesshomaru's "customizing." I might rework his bangs someday, in the not too far away future. I suck at styling my own hair, so it's no surprise I would suck at tiny headed 1:6 action figure's bangs. However, for now, I am super happy with him. There are many things that could be improved, but my shaky hands are not something that will be improving, ever! Lol! DX

My current cell phone's camera hates me, and I struggle with it as well as setting lights. These are terrible, there's so much noise. The other older than dust phone's camera, seems to want to make everything look washed out. However, this one adds so much noise and sh1t, for no reason. It's frustrating. I won't be getting a new camera. I want to, but I don't want to waste money when I know I suck at taking photos anyway...

Regardless of the suckyness, I am super happy with my customized Sessho! I felt like Sephy was my most beautiful 1:6 figure I owned, but this one is a very close second. Too bad I can't do it justice, painting wise, as well as photography wise. I suck! T___T;; I added a comparison, because a friend wanted to see the progress from the GDToys prototype, to the in-box factory paint apps, to my struggle to re-style his bangs. A one inch hair straightener might be too small for a human, but too freaking large for a 1:6 head sculpt's bangs! >.<;;

My GDToys 97005 (Sesshomaru) Son Of The Demon Dog Repaint, so far. I am pretty happy with him, I just need to restyle his bangs, and then I'll be done with him (for now). I suck at tiny things, my hands are definitely getting shakier with old freaking age! I already had a terrible shaky hand, but holey freaking heck hole, it's like I put my hands on a full speed blender, instead of steadying them on a flat steady table!

My older than dust cellphone died, and my "current" phone's battery was drained, so I took these with an even older phone, and they are obviously museum quality photos. However, I am super excited to finally complete this, so I wanted to take photos as I ruined the doming process, as usual! It took just a few hours over the course of three days, to repaint him and only with acrylic paints, so no sealing in between layers, which is why I love acrylics. I didn't want to go too hyperplastic with him, because the head sculpt is not, and Sesshomaru is not hyper-realistic either. I wanted his demon markings to look a bit textured, kind of like birth marks or tattoos, rather than paint or make up. I am in love with this head, I hope I can get a second one. I feel he would make a gorgeous Alucard (Castlevania). I missed my chance when he first released to get one parted out, so I am hoping I'll be able to get a second head sculpt at a not too exaggerated price. I kind of sorely regret not trying harder to get a loose HS, now that I' think about it more seriously.

I just need to fix his bangs... those are going to be a pain in the gut-hole! DX

Got a few more toys from Amazn, recently. The mermaids (hrr06) took forever to be shipped; I'm guessing they are a lot more popular than I had anticipated. I waited for what seemed like an eternity and beyond, for them to have them available for purchase. After stalking the sales page for years, then another eternity for them to finally send me a shipping notification, after finally ordering them! I thought they would pull an S.H.Figuarts Sasuke Uchiha on me; a few years ago, they kept asking me if I still wanted the first version of that tiny figure I had pre-ordered on day one! Then told me after months of waiting patiently and keeping my order, "sorry, we are no longer carrying that figure." I wasted so much time and patience on that one figure from them, that I was fed up with Amzn. I even stopped getting other things from them for a long time, just out of frustation more than anything.

Long story longer, I got my mermaids! I got two so I can unbox one, but I wouldn't mind an army of this doll, she's stunning! I fell in love with these the instant I saw a glimpse of them last year, if I recall correctly. I haven't been fortunate to get the opened mouth (HRR05) one yet, but I hope I'll snag at least one of those as well. I'll probably get a MTM body for her, but I don't mind her on the mermaid one for a while. I might even try her on an action figure body some day! I also got myself more Nanana Surprise Minis Series 2 dolls, hoping to get Paula, but no dice! I got two repeats!! Holey freaking h3ll hole, I'm starting to lose hope! I might try once more though...not because I am a hoarder, I just really want Paula but not at eBy prices! DX

Also got an Eren Yeager Final Season Hugcot mini figure, which I am very happy with. All these figs I am super glad I got. The FFVII keychains, the Sasuke stuff. The Byakuya look up figure is adorable! The only thing I am pissed with, is the freaking extra-mega-large shipping box. For absolutely no reason whatsoever! *sigh* There went over $100USD thrown down the drain, for literal no reason. I'm super angry at that, I probably won't recover from it soon enough in a literally sense, and monetarily.

A few close ups of my GDToys GD97005 (Sesshomaru) default face paint apps. And a few full-bodied photos as well. I am definitely going to be repainting him. He is a lovely looking figure, and if I hadn't seen the prototype, I would feel he is wonderful as he is. However, and just like with Game Toys Sephy, this isn't what I wanted my Sesshomaru to look like. As far as paint apps go, the head sculpt is still far more beautiful IRL, more so than I can manage to do it justice, if any. I didn't place his obi or shoulder armor piece, because I will be putting him back into his box as soon as I am done repainting him. I don't want to break/ruin somethng.

I don't believe my repaints are that great, but I know that I can make him look a bit more alive and less kind of empty on the inside. Lol! I feel like he is a beautiful looking figure as he is, in hand, but looks and photographs soulless. I've always felt that Sesshomaru was full of life, and looks so even in the anime. And despite being an anti-hero, he's kind of spirited and lively, if smug and quite full of himself (just how I like my beautiful fictional male characters!).

I tried restyling his bangs, but I don't feel I did that great of a job. I own a 1-inch hair straightener I use for wigs, but it's way too big and chunky for a tiny 1:6 head sculpt. More so for he bangs alone. I will have to try some other way. However, I wanted to have clear, "better" lighted photos of his default factory paints apps before I proceed. This is a cosplay-type of figure. GDToys doesn't have the license to make Sesshomaru, but he doesn't' look like Sessho in the anime, nor is this an illegal copy of any existing licensed figures. I would then own the licensed one and not this version. However, this is more along the lines of what Super Duck do, but with a body and not just a head and clothes kit. I am happy I got him, and I hope I can make him look closer to what I want my Sesshomaru to look like, without aiming for the protype. (:

Got myself a GDToys The Son Of The Tooth King - Dog Demon Swordman GD97005, 1:6 action figure. Also known as Sesshomaru in a more realistic stylization (cosplay, perhaps?). Lol! I have been tempted by GDToys figures in the past, but they seem to make mostly females, and I kind of don't actively look to collect female figures, unless I want to hybrid their heads on male bodies. I've also seen their paint apps to be extremely hit-or-miss, so I knew this Sesshomaru fig was going to probably not be as perfect as their prototype. However, in hand, he doesn't look as terrible as in my extreme close up of his face.

He's definitely not as perfect as the prototype, but I never expected him to be. I just thought this would be a good enough customizable figure, with great potential, based on one of my most favorite characters of all time (that isn't Sephiroth, but pretty close). I don't own that many figures based on him, because there are just not that many. The head sculpt in particular was what sold me to get this, I knew the paint apps weren't going to be anywhere near the prototype, but it's rare to see beautiful male anime-ish head sculpts in the 1:6 world. That are actually male, and not hybrid from dolls or females, etc. So, I had to have him, as a Christmas gift to myself (because I don't gift myself enough things all year round!). I also managed to get one with its own brown shipper! Yay!

I am still uncertain that I will be repainting him, but I knew that if he didn't look anything decent IRL, I could just attempt repainting him but still end up with all the other stuff to create my own Sessho custom figure. I did try a million years ago with a Noir De Rome Japanese fashion doll head sculpt, and a Volks Neo EB go body, but I never got far enough. I feel this one will be a close enough one for me. I'll definitely need to restyle the bangs, the hair is probably not the same as the prototype but it's certainly not as fluffy, and that's not just the styling. I'll take more "decent" than just flash photos of him, once I attempt restyling his bangs, to be closer to the prototype, because these are definitely not even an attempt on GDToy's part. DX

A few extra-repetitive photos of my MYou Bettina male, who's my fan-art version of Ken Kaneki. He's a 28cm-ish doll. I took a few shots of him and my BanDai Japanese bath-bombs trading figures. I got the full set of the Naruto Shippuden ones, thankfully that meant getting one Sasuke. Unfortunately, I got doubles of Sakura and Naruto... >_>;;

I also got doubles in the Sanrio versions, and two of those were doubles of the two bags I got from the same set. Luckily for me, it was Kuromi. Lol! I did get the ones I wanted the most from each set (like Pochacco), but doubles of all! It kind of sucks, but that is the nature of trading toys. Which leaves me thinking that I might get more of these bath bombs trading toys, unless they are from licenses I absolutely must get (like based on anime ones, or game ones, which I seriously doubt they'll do).

So, these are figures that released last year, all throughout 2023. I was just waiting to be able to justify shipping 20-30USD figures, by DHL... That kept going, until it was already too big of a shipment, and too expensive to justify at all! lol!

Long story longer, I was waiting for HLJ to have a lower shipping option, during the holiday season, but I kind of ended up paying more, than if I had shipped way earlier! I also missed out on getting Cloud Bring Arts, because they never seem to send me in-stock notifications. *sigh* That was frustrating as all heck, and now I am left empty handed, and I'll probably have to get him from SE's USA shop, which charges an eye off the face for s/h. Most of these are Sasuke prize figures, the ones I don't have doubles on here, I already received in previous shipments. Or, I have still to ship. DX I am super happy with all these, and very excited to build the Sasuke model kit, despite it being entry grade. It looks very nice! I also got a few bath-bombs, because one has a Sasuke, and the others are so adorable, Sanrio characters I couldn't pass by! I did get a full set of the Naruto bath-bomb charters, but I had to get six, and got two of Sakura and Naruto! I wish I had gotten two Sasuke instead. I am also happy that World Box's body is a decent match for my Very Cool Miss Spetsnaz head sculpt. I hope the photos of that, don't send this to the dark side... like it matters. lol!

I am super happy with everything, the Sasuke Uchiha acrylic stickers in particular, they are so cute! I am also loving the PUP Red Pyramid Thing figures. I was hoping they would be in-scale with the PUP Bubble Headed Nurse, so I could try to get a second nurse to display both, but it seems they are the same exact height, so not in-scale with each other, sadly for me. T__T;; I am tempted though, to get some 1:6 scale PH statues, now that I have this tiny one and a double to unbox one. I'll probably go for something that's not as expensive as Gecco, I really wanted one of them, but I couldn't justify them. Now they are a little eye off the face! DX I was able to get a second "last one get" Minnano Kuji Hikkake figure of Mikazuki Munechika. I loved these hikkake figures so much, I had hoped the other series would be of similar size, but the Demon Slayer ones seem a lot smaller (one Giyu is the only other one I own). I got all the 1st Minna no Kuji ones for the Touken Ranbu Online releases, except the ultra-mega rare winking Shishio. I wanted to get doubles of all, but hadn't gottent Mikazuki's last-one until now. So, I'm very happy, as well as with teen WCF Sasuke, I need the child version was well, but these seem ultra-mega-ultima-level-of-rarer. I also love the RE sticker, I didn't read how large it was. I was surprised at how tiny it is. Story of my life! Lol! (:
