Theory time:
So it seems like all the rat grinders took the deal Buddy did right? My guess is tpk in the mountains of chaos (although that doesn’t explain Lucy being in the forrest, maybe she initially accepted and then backed out later) but regardless they now all serve Ankarna’s rage form. The Bad Kids seem to be headed down a path of redeeming Ankarna or bringing back her original self like they did with Cassandra, not just keeping Ankarna banished.
So basically, even if they end up saving the Rat Grinders, Kipperlily is only going to HATE them even more because now they’ve resurrected TWO gods, and the new one is married to Kristin’s god, and Fig serves/is connected to Ankarna and that’s the god that murdered and controlled her and her friends and now the Bad Kids are getting praise and attention for being bffs with her!!!
Anyways, senior year Kipperlily is freed from the influence of the god of rage and fully tries to murder her classmates anyways.

fig reigniting her music and in turn claiming ankarna’s domain was so poetic to me. fig lost herself in her love for her friends and really doesn’t know who she is right now. ankarna’s loyalty to her followers twisted her into a shadow of herself going from conviction to conquest. fig and ankarna are such interesting parallels right now and im so excited to see where they go with it.

it really makes me so emotional that fig went to record a song to find herself again, because she realised she lost herself because she stopped making art, and she wrote dawn of justice, a song so amazing that its performance literally gave fig a domain. she literally got ownership of ankarna's old domain so that no one else could fuck with it. she thinks she isn't an artist, that she shouldn't be a bard, but she is, her art changes the world, her art gives her power

Fig Isn't Meant to Be Cassandra's Paladin, Bucky Applebees Is
As most of us have realized since Ankarna's original domain was revealed, Fig is clearly supposed to be her paladin. The archdevil of rebellion united with the goddess of conviction and justice would be an incredible force for fighting wrongs, for inspiring revolutions, and creating true positive change.
But Fig wasn't wrong that Cassandra would be immensely helped by having a paladin swear themselves to her. Even though Kristen is an extraordinary cleric, she's only one person.
When we first meet Bucky Applebees in Junior Year, he is filled with doubt and uncertainty. He's a paladin of Helio, the same religion (cult) that Kristen fled from and he has been forced to take on the role of protector to his younger brothers that Kristen once held as the eldest daughter. He hasn't told his parents about the gold Kristen gave them, he thinks he's going to hell for lying, he misses his sister but thinks she's living in sin (maybe?), and he's curious about what beer tastes like (but never mind, he doesn't want to know. He bets it would be great. For sinners, would love it.).
When Cassandra dies/is kidnapped, Kristen first feels a connection to her goddess again when she thinks of how her doubt and uncertainty led to her escaping that life and finding freedom from Helio and her parents.
Ally: "I think she spent so much time trapped and feeling, like, super wrong, that doubt and mystery actually feel like a really beautiful escape, and more true."
Brennan: "The concept of escape hits you. And for a moment you hear (clicking). And all of the locks on the windows and all of the locks on the doors of this room just open slightly. A little bit of divine magic flows through you....[W]hen you thought of escape, you thought of, yeah, embracing the unknown gives you the strength to leave a bad situation. Escape."
Bucky, Bricker, and Cork are still trapped and now that Brennan's brought Bucky back into the story, I don't think the season is going to end with Kristen leaving her little brothers in an abusive home life when there's every possibility for them to find safety and acceptance at Morded Manor.
I believe that if Kristen is able to help her brothers get away from their parents and the Church of Helio*, then Bucky is going to need a new god to follow. Why wouldn't Bucky, a scared, uncertain 14 year-old kid, not follow a goddess in the image of his older sister, whose very essence is that "whenever you're in the dark, I'm here holding your hand."
Kristen has always had a hard time doing the work of growing her church, of telling people about Cassandra. I think she'd find it easy to tell her siblings all about Cassandra when she's trying to help them find enough doubt and uncertainty in what they've known all their lives, that they'll have the courage to escape too.
*Also, there's definitely going to be further exploration of the Church of Sol, and by extension the Church of Helio, as they were 100% involved in what happened to Ankarna and Kristen is probably going to try to keep Bobby Dawn away from Bucky, just as she absolutely rejected Buddy Dawn becoming her brother's mentor.

Listen I’m hoping when we get Cassandra back and Ankarna for the first time that they immediately decide they are Kristen and Figs parents.
like:
“Ah yes Saint Kristen Applebees-“
“you mean my daughter.”
“she brought you back from being a corrupted fey construction of fear and literal nightmares?”
“parenting really changes you<3”
——-
“Figeroth Faeth Archdevil of Rebellion-“
“and my favorite daughter :)”
“she laid claim to your domain, and played a song so metal she reconstructed your fire horse”
“I know isn’t my kid the best.”
Let the lesbian gods be moms

....Is anyone suspicous of Kristen's "Chosen One of Helio" status now that we know Amkarna's domains?
Cause Kristen was seemingly always going to be a cleric of Cassandra, if we look back at Sophmore year. So what if Kristen was never Helio's chosen, but Ankarna's.
Ankarna's Chosen One to bring back Cassandra.
Which would further explain why Ankarna is so angry with Kristen, cause if it was just because Kristen wasn't doing her duties as Cassandra's Cleric I don't think there would be as many personal jabs towards Kristen. But if Kristen was literally chosen by Ankarna to be the one who saved Cassandra, then lines like "I'll give you a God you deserve" would have so many added layers to it. Imagine you have a chosen one that was taken by your replacement, who then finally saves your wife, only for that same chosen one to neglect her duties as a cleric and be part of the reason your wife is dying again.
I also do think that Junior Year is going to end with Cassandra and Ankarna being the type of deities that are usually worshiped together. Or at the very least their followers are heavily involved with each other.

Ankarna being described using the phrase, "A beautiful chariot pulling the sun" really makes me think Helio and/or Sol stole her domain because in greek mythology Helio originally is the one to pull the sun chariot
