do you know what episodes that includes trio osaka ??
-
I'm... not entirely sure who you mean by Osaka trio? I can make a guess that you mean Heiji, Kazuha, and Momiji, since they're the most interesting, but Momiji isn't Osakan, she's from Kyoto.
And if that's the case, then it's episodes 874, 886, 916, 917 (with Momiji not directly interacting with the others until after this point) Movie 21, 927, 928, 1024, 1025. If you look up Momiji's appearances, she really only appears when Heiji and Kazuha are there.
(And just to include some other options that are actually Osakan trios.)
Heizo, Gintaro, and Otaki - 118, 263, 965-968, Movie 17 & 21
The lookalike DB - OVA 3

"Didn't mean to make your heart Blue" || [3/...]
- OPLA!Buggy x F!Reader
Tumblr media
"And I am the idiot with the painted face, in the corner taking up space. But when he walks in, I am loved."
— Mitski, "Me and My Husband"
Pairing: Buggy the Clown (Live action) x F!Reader
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6
Summary: You were an apprentice of Gol D. Roger’s crew in your youth, long before his eventual demise. Along with the Red-Haired Shanks and Buggy, you were a formidable trio; the embodiment of a new generation of pirates yet to come. But times changed, and so did you and your friends. Years have passed since you last saw Buggy following the dispute that you thought ended your friendship. When you finally reunite with the blue-haired menace you once considered your closest friend, it’s under less than “friendly” circumstances.
Warnings: Canon typical violence, LA!Verse, Buggy is a lonely asshole, flashbacks, semi-canon divergence, Reader is strong AF,
A/N: I forgot to mention this before, but I guess this technically does hold some spoilers from the manga/anime. Keep in mind, I've not seen/read either piece, so it's merely used to give their stories some background.
Taglist: @kurinhimenezu, @carpinchootaku (If you want to be tagged for this story, just send me a message or comment :))
Fuck, fuck, fuck, where the fuck are you?
After some time of searching, Buggy finds you sitting by the docks, your feet gently swaying with the waves, almost free of any earthbound weight. He’d join you if he could, but he’s not brave enough to get too close to the waters yet.
However, he’s content enough to just watch you from a safe distance. The sky is free of clouds and the moon is full, which illuminates your shape like a bright lantern in the night.
Beautiful, that's what he thinks you are. In fact, that's what he's been thinking for a while now, not that he's ever told you that to your face. He wonders when he stopped looking at you like something more than a friend.
Maybe it was when he caught you smiling at him after you'd successfully managed to steal a bottle of fine rum from the local bar, and you both ended up getting blackout drunk on the ship deck?
Maybe it was when he saw you win a round of arm-wrestling against one of your other crewmates, despite being significantly younger than the opponent.
Maybe it was when you beat a guy black and blue for making fun of his nose in public, with both him and Shanks cheering you on from a safe distance?
It doesn’t matter when it was. What matters is that, for a while, he has found it difficult to take his eyes off you. Even if it’s just a peek, it usually takes him a while to force his attention on something else.
The rest of the crew are on the Oro Jackson, celebrating their recent endeavors, yet here you are, celebrating on your own. He finds it odd; you’re usually happy to participate in any celebrations with the crew, but you’ve decided to be here instead. It was your absence on deck that prompted Buggy to go looking for you.
The wind picks up and he can feel goosebumps spread across his skin like wildfire. He shivers and tugs his jacket tighter around himself, and that’s when he notices that you’re not wearing any additional clothing to stave off the cold in the night.
He finally calls out to you, a little throaty for reasons he refuses to disclose aloud. “You’re gonna get a cold like that, dumbass! You wanna get pneumonia and die or something?”
You subsequently turn around to face him, and his breath gets caught in his throat. Your sharp eyes, when caught in the moonlight, sparkle like a thousand treasures — compiled of gold, diamonds, and millions and millions of berries — holed up in two caves.
Smiling in the way that makes his pulse quicken, you proceed to wave your feet in the water. A few drops land on your arms, sparkling in the air before landing on the skin of your arms. “I don’t think so? If we get to the South Pole, maybe there’s a higher risk?”
He frowns and crosses his arms over his chest. “The North Pole is colder!”
“Ah, well,” you snicker. “In that case, then I’m not likely to get pneumonia unless we’re there.”
“You can still get cold! What are you, a moron?”
For someone who can’t keep his eyes off you for extended periods, that doesn’t keep him from being rather crass in terms of vocabulary with you. That’s alright. You’ve never been one to appreciate honeyed words if your frequent bickering with both him and Shanks says something.
With another swing of your legs, you reestablish contact with with wooden platform and make your way over to him. That’s when he finally realises that you haven’t brought your shoes with you, but you don’t seem bothered by it. “By the way, what’re you doing here, Buggy?“
He considers telling you a simple lie that won’t clash with what he knows to be the truth. He was coincidentally going for a walk, he needed some air, he was purposefully looking for you…
“Noticed you weren’t on the ship,” he finally settles on with a hmph. “Had to make sure you hadn’t accidentally up and drowned or something. You’re a shitty swimmer,”
“Not as shitty as you,” you counter and blow him a raspberry.
He’s about to tell you to fuck off or something when, again, he finds himself pausing.
You’re smiling at him, so softly, and it feels so warm that the wind no longer has any effect on him. He can feel his cheeks scorch up and his heart is pounding so hard that it feels on the verge of breaking his ribs.
He hastily looks away and coughs a couple of times, trying to maintain what little dignity he has left.
“Are you alright?” You ask with faux concern. “Did you just catch pneumonia or something?”
“S-Screw you!”
You laugh, and it’s like music to his ears. Your laughs are usually raspy and hardly appropriate, but he finds that it’s the prettiest sound in the world. Your smile, your laugh, they are so warm that he hopes that you’ll never stop making them.
Out of the blue, you wrap an arm around his shoulder and begin tugging him on the path to the ship. “Come on, before they leave us behind.”
“Y-Yeah, let’s.” He doesn’t move to tug your arm away, and no power on this earth will make him.
------
Now that he's closer to the kid, Buggy realizes the stupidity of asking if he was yours. The two of you are nothing alike, but the truly defining factor lies in your eyes. Rubber Boy's eyes are too bright, too round. Whereas yours are knives ready to strike, his' are simple spoons.
He begrudgingly has to hand it to the kid; he's a fearless one. Even stretching his limbs beyond human capabilities does not diminish his spirit. Buggy doesn't know whether to applaud or reject the determination the boy has.
"I want you to think of this, like an artistic exercise," he explains. "Because pain leads to art, and art reveals truth."
He can't hear any commotion from the backrooms where he keeps you contained. Truth be told, he never expected it to keep you for long, only detain you for a limited amount of time. If he wants to both get the map and keep his life in one go, he is going to have to try and get it without necessarily ruining the kid too much.
Still, it doesn't keep him from testing the lines. He tries to pry the answers out with a needle, but no matter what he does, the kid remains infuriatingly mute.
So, he decides to dig a little deeper.
"Now, what makes a boy want to grow up to be King of the Pirates? Who are you trying to impress?" He tilts his head with inquisitiveness. "A lost love?"
On cue, he can vaguely make out a gnarling sound coming from the back rooms. The sound of chains rattling, which he perceives as you probably moving in the enclosure. He thinks about sending someone to check on you and find out what you're up to, but he does not want the number of supporting casts to reduce.
"An absent parent?" He continues, ignoring the noises as he closes in on the boy. "Or was it someone that you worshipped? A false idol."
Try as he might, the boy fails to feign any indifference to him. A master of performance himself, Buggy knows when he's hit his target "That's it."
He yanks the dumb straw hat off his head, and the boy's protests against it further dig a nail into the coffin. "Give me back my hat!"
"I used to know a pirate that wore a hat just like this." Buggy's grip on the feeble thing drastically tightens as memories of the past resurface. "Red-Haired Shanks."
"You knew Shanks?"
"Ginger? Three scars, left eye?" Of course, how could he not know of the bastard? "We served together on a pirate crew when we were about your age. In fact," he glances at the boy from over his shoulder. "Your friend, Cross-Hairs over there, was with us at the time."
The kid blinks in confusion, clearly not aware of this little piece of information. "I knew she served with Shanks, but she never mentioned you."
In all honesty, it doesn't surprise him, yet he still perceives this as a slight against him from your side. The underlying hypocriticism in that doesn't evade his notice, but he elects not to address it.
Buggy can feel the straws under his digits lightly crack beneath the pressure of his grip. "She did, but before then, it was the three of us. For a time, I even thought we were friends." His nail pierces a hole through the inside of the hat. "Until they betrayed me, like all the others. He wanted to keep me out of the spotlight! He wanted to keep my star from shining too brightly!"
"They wouldn't do that," Rubber Boy is quick to protest, rather vehemently too as if Buggy just insulted his entire lineage. "You don't know her, and you don't know Shanks. Don't talk about them that way."
"I bet I know her far better than you do, Rubber Boy." He smirks and raises a knowing eyebrow at the kid. "Does she still snatch specifically red apples off vendors when you're in town? Does she still tend to store her knives in her boots when she thinks no one's looking?"
The kid doesn't have to answer. His silence is all the confirmation he needs, and it makes him feel victorious in some sense.
"Let me ask you something else, then. How'd the famous Captain of the Cross-Haired Pirates get stuck with a simple-minded nobody like you? What did you do that was so special that she decided to stick around until now?"
The damn brat doesn't answer.
He presses on. "Apparently, she made a promise to someone, and though I have a sneaking suspicion as to whom, I don't want to jump the gun." He grasps harshly at the kid's face, no longer smiling. "You know, and if you tell me, I might be convinced to lessen the restraints."
The damn brat still doesn't fucking answer, and it vexes him greatly. Even so, if there's one thing he's learned, it's that the kid's silence can be substituted for an answer.
So, he finally asks the billion-berry question:
"Was it Shanks?"
Rubber Boy does not answer. He doesn't fucking answer, and Buggy's patience snaps like a twig.
You would be willing to go through all of this trouble, to keep the kid safe and help him achieve his dream, just because you made a silly promise to what was once your mutual friend. You would give up your career as one of the most successful pirates in the modern age, just for that?
Just for him?
Deep down, he feels something carve at him. Carve at the boyish version of him he left behind the same day he left you. Would you have been just as loyal to him as you were to Shanks, if only he stayed?
He does not voice these thoughts aloud. Instead, he can't help but beam, because everything he's theorized up until this point has just been verified. It aches, and it hurts, and it cuts, but even so, he can only smile down at the boy.
"Stretch him until he breaks."
------
Although you hear a commotion coming from the stage room, and despite the urge you have to just break out and be done with this all, you deliberately remain in your cage. One leg pulled up to your chin whereas the other one rests uncomfortably on the stale ground boards, you do nothing more than let your temper simmer down.
Honestly, what a mess.
You made one thing perfectly clear to Shanks the day you agreed to disband your crew and keep watch on the boy. It had not even been a week after he returned to the docks of Fooshia Village, one arm short and the boy by his side.
------
"I am not his parent. I will not be held responsible for the mistakes he makes when he decided to leave land. I will only keep him alive until I decide he can do that himself; after he's earned his first bounty. After that, I'm off."
"And what will you do after?" he had asked, genuinely curious.
You didn't answer, because you didn't know.
"Look after the lad for me, will you? Help him achieve his dream." He had taken your shoulder under his warm remaining hand and said:
"Maybe one day, you'll find your own."
------
If you'd known that Luffy's dream would one day lead you back to him, you would've been more reluctant to make that promise. At the time, you had little interest in picking up the shattered pieces of your childhood dream, yet it seems that now it has decided to search you out instead.
Or rather, he has.
Your head hurts.
This is not the time for heartfelt reunions if there ever was one. Buggy has only one goal in mind, and that is to get his hands on that damn map. Harming Luffy will serve as a means to an end in achieving that, which happens to clash with your goal. You're not Luffy's parent, you tell yourself, but you're willing to extend the promise to Shanks just this once.
And so, after some careful deliberation, you make your escape.
You hit the metal once, and it bends significantly. Then twice, and on the third strikes, they bend and crack, finally granting you access to direct contact with the ground. It's never felt so relieving to be earthbound, and you even go as far as to tap your feet a few times to enrich that feeling.
Having most likely heard the noise, two troupe members march through the curtains to see what's going on. The first one barely has the time to register your escape before you lunge.
You're quick to subdue them, knocking the first one out with an easy choke-hold whereas the other mysteriously ends up with half his body stuck in what remains of your previous confinement. His ass hangs out in a rather humiliating position, but the point is, he's out of the way.
The adrenaline is the one part of piracy you've missed. The surge of energy that flows through your veins, feeling the air brush your face as you make your move, the warmth in your heart that substitutes any pain or hurt you've ever felt if only for a moment.
You relish it.
You happen to find your weapons in the room, hidden in some crates. Your knives and your pistol, are both unscathed and fully functional, but you know that you'll end up relying on your hands for this. After all, it's personal, and personal matters are handled in a personal way.
When you're certain the two troupe members are of no concern to you, you exit the back rooms and find yourself in the opening between the audience rows shortly after. The lights have been killed and there's an ominous silence stretching in the atmosphere.
You look up at the terrified audience, and though you're almost in clear view of them, none dares stray away from the view up ahead.
Said view in question being of Luffy halfway submerged by seawater in a tank, already struggling to keep himself afloat.
Fuck this. Fuck him.
You don't even stop to coordinate your next move as, as you would've done under ordinary circumstances. No, the moment you spot Buggy standing there, trying to reason with the kid with the promise of belonging and having a place on his crew, you lunge for the kill.
------
All Buggy sees just as you make your move is a flash of sharp eyes that seem to glow in the dim room. There's no word upon your entrance, no sound, not a single warning at all. A shriek resonates through the air, shattering the silence that had unknowingly settled over them, and it's his own.
The air gets knocked out of his lungs as you shove your fist straight into his stomach. Ordinarily, that specific portion of his would've just straight up dislodged itself from his body, but it doesn't this time. He remains intact, a contradiction to what you had threatened to do, and he falls back several good feet on his back like a kicked dog.
A raspy groan is all the noise he manages to get out, heaving his chest in search of the air that was stolen from him. He throws one arm to the ground and gets his upper body up.
When he finally manages to somewhat stabilize his line of sight, all he sees as the world remains blurred around him is you standing over him with a dangerous glimmer in your eyes. One he's already familiar with.
This is not his old friend or his old flame crew member. This is Cross-Hairs, the feared captain of the vicious Cross-Haired Pirates. The Beast of the East. The one whose aim never misses, and if it does, she'll hunt her target down to the ends of the earth.
And now, he's officially become your target. No longer a passive one at that, but the only one your eyes are set on. He doesn't know if he's content or unnerved by this.
There are no palpable emotions on your face, but he can read your eyes well enough to know that you're angry. No, angry doesn't even begin to cover it; you're absolutely, positively, completely pissed.
"What?" He forces out, still aching from the punch to his abdomen. "Going to make good on your promise? Going to finally kill me after all this time? If so, then just get on with it!"
You don't answer, and he hates it even more than he would've had you responded. A part of him wants you to kill him; wants you to show that you care enough about him to just fucking do it.
No, instead, all you give him is a glare. That same glare that's never left your face since he first laid his eyes on you. You turn your full attention to the tank and, with one simple hit, you break the glass to try and free Rubber Boy. You free him, without even a moment to hesitate, and it feels so much more painful than if you’d just ended him on the spot.
He wants to scream. Buggy wants to scream until his lungs give in. Scream at your inability to fully look at him. Scream at your apparent concern for a boy who is no more a pirate than he is a banker.
Scream, because even after all this time, you still refuse to choose him.
Never him.

Thinking about Garou
Question: "Compared to the first season, which draws attention to Saitama's exhilarating punches, the second season focuses on story development. Did you have any specific goals while drawing the story?" Murata: "There was one thing that I requested from ONE Sensei before drawing my re-illustrated manga. At first, there were plans to cut out Garou's childhood with the bully in my version, but that scene really left an impression on me. I thought it was a vital part of understanding Garou's position, so I discussed it with ONE Sensei and requested that I be able to leave it in for y version. And it was paced so well in the anime! I believe it ended up being a very high-quality scene." -- From the liner notes of One-Punch Man Season 2.
I'm including this because I feel it's fundamental to really talk about Garou with any depth. Garou without context does not make sense. He is a kind, sensitive, and thoughtful young man who wants to do good in the world. Yet, he caused a horrifying amount of harm, both directly and indirectly, and ultimately undermined his own goals.
I'm glad that ONE listened to Murata about keeping Garou's childhood flashback. Without it, he'd just have been a thug attacking heroes for no reason to us (pretty much as the heroes saw him). Not only that, but ONE has gone a lot further in the manga in showing us the context in which Garou grew up that's been very helpful for understanding who Garou is, what he saw, and making some sense of his powerful yet contradictory desires.
Ultimately Garou is Garou. He's his own person and the buck for his actions firmly stops with him. No matter what, I can't imagine him not being an independent thinker with the determination to put his thoughts into action.
But...
...the tragedy of his thinking becomes clear when we see his thinking of monsters as metaphors for what is misunderstood or unacceptable in ourselves (a popular enough one IRL where monsters aren't real) and compare it with the reality of his world in which monsters have won, successfully restricting humans to one continent, and people like heroes because they are reminders that sometimes, even apparently overwhelming evil can be defeated. Nothing good happens when you deny the reality around you.
You know Garou's rant about uniting the world with fear? It's a standalone rant in the webcomic. The manga gives us a snapshot of the context in which he came to this conclusion. As this is a place that is no stranger to natural disasters -- forget the monsters -- Garou has no doubt experienced at least one big storm, or flood, or earthquake, or volcanic eruption in his life. In those days and weeks that follow, he's no longer an outcast. Nobody cares about where you come from or who you are: people help each other. At least until normalcy is restored. That's something he's directly experienced.
Tumblr media
That's just human nature: even in individualistic societies, for every report of looting in the wake of a natural disaster, there are hundreds of people trying to help. And this is a much more collectivist society that has to deal with disasters semi-regularly. That's the sense of looking out for each other in the face of a tragedy bigger than any person he wanted to recreate—only permanently.
Tumblr media
Then we get bits of Garou through the people around him. We got nothing about his parents in the webcomic but in the manga, his parents refuse to see him or get him out of custody. They've given up on him. To make it worse, the audience ONE is writing for understands that Garou is a minor until he's 20 (the law recently changed in Japan but it wasn't even up for debate when ONE started writing OPM). So they've done the equivalent of washing their hands of a 16-year-old. That's got to have hit Garou very, very hard, even if he was estranged from them. He'd have liked it if his father cared enough to tell him what to do.
Tumblr media
We see how Bang has literally taken on the role of in loco parentis. It's been interesting to see that the reason Bang has chased after Garou so relentlessly is because he sees himself in the young man. However, we also see that he deeply misunderstands Garou too. Bang beat up people because he was an extremely selfish young man who felt he was entitled to everything.
Tumblr media
Garou beat up people because he is an extremely thoughtful young man who sees himself as bringing a great good into the world at the expense of some heroes.
Tumblr media
It's definitely going to cause trouble but that's okay -- nothing in life is smooth and such differences are inevitable. With love, such struggles are worthwhile.
Garou's an object lesson in why the energy to do things in the world rarely comes with the power to make those changes. His overly simple solutions were disastrous. But one thing we can also say about Garou: he's a fast learner. He's literally rebuilding his life little by little in the webcomic by rebuilding the world around him. In the manga, he's been given the opportunity to sift through his thinking and find what's genuinely good. We'll see how it all shakes out.

Manga I've read that were licensed in english in 2022-2023
Meant to do this roundup forever but I some pleasant surprises the last 2 years when I saw these titles I enjoyed in Japanese be licensed/re-released in English and wanted to do a very short roundup. I unfortunately can't attest to the quality of the print editions or the translations as I haven't been able to justify a double purchase just yet but still recommend these as fun and interesting reads. (Also using the JPN covers since the pub websites and store listings have kind of bad image quality lately....)
Ramen Wolf and Curry Tiger by Emboss [Seven Seas, trans. Nan Rymer] (Furry and human cast, gay but not because of any overt romance)
Thermae Romae: The Complete Omnibus by Mari Yamazaki [Yen Press, trans. Stephen Paul] (Time slip comedy connecting ancient roman and Japanese bath culture, semi-recent anime adaption on Netflix, sequel manga series currently on Jump+)
One More Step, Come Stand by My Side by Toryumon Takeda [Yen Press, trans. Jason Moses] (One shot collection, impressive art, wide span of themes and settings, most of the stories were originally self published)
The Secret of Friendship by Kazune Kawahara & Aiji Yamakawa [Seven Seas, trans. Hana Allen] (High School setting, exploration of friendship and romance and how it might conflict, little gay if im being honest)
Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom by Nao Iwamoto [Seven Seas, trans. Alan Cheng & Rowena Chen] (The sweeping tale of rivaling kingdoms, adapted into an acclaimed anime movie in 2023, imo we need more Nao Iwamoto translated she's kinda brilliant)

Cherry Magic / 30-sai made Doutei dato Mahoutsukai ni nareru rashii Episode 1
Tumblr media
Overall Score so far: 8/10
Mainly because Kiyoshi Adachi knows he is in a BL, and is very aware of what might happen to him, and the short hand title is fucking hilarious. Cherry Magic. Cherri Maho. Man I love Japanese.
Tumblr media
Also GOOD CROWS ABOVE THIS ANIME IS GENRE-SAVVY. It knows exactly what it's doing, and feels like it's going to deliver what it promises. A wholesome lovey dovey little story.
The whole 1st episode almost feels self contained in a way that will definitely let you know if this show is for you or not. Capybara pointed out that this seems to be a common recent trend with anime for their first episodes. We saw it in Dr. Elise, Frieren, and Dungeon Meshi kind of felt that way too.
My first impression that might not make sense to some people is that this is a toned down Doppo and Hifumi from Matenrou/Hypnosis Mic.
Also, WE'VE GOT TWO POWERHOUSE VOICE ACTORS HERE!!
Adachi is being voiced by the lovely deadpan of Kobayashi, Chiaki - His other roles I know being Langa from SK∞, Gabimaru!! (my beloved) from Jigokuraku/Hell's Paradise, and Mash!! from MASHLE, also this season! I haven't seen Vinland Saga yet, but other might know him as Askeladd! Kobayashi-san has a very particular voice that doesn't fluctuate much, but he knows when to show emotion that gives a good impact. Quote from Capybara - "They picked this guy for his dead pan, but can he emote? Oh, he's Langa from sk8, oh yeah, he can emote."
Kurosawa is voiced by Suzuki, Ryouta a super memorable voice! - Ryusui from Dr. Stone, Yuu ishikami from Kaguya Sama, BISCO!!! FROM SABIKU BISCO!!! That is some RANGE right there! Loud and Prideful, Quiet and Dark, and then a Screamy Boy. This is a younger VA who has had some great starting roles, and has already become a memorable and impactful voice, making this a very good match up!
Anyways, nerding out about voice actors aside, Episode 1 spoilers below!
At first it seems like we're going to get the standard tropes that come with the BL(Boys Love)/Yaoi Genre...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Adachi is ON HIS GUARD and KNOWS THE TROPES.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But the show immediately spins those very same tropes on their head! It's great!! It's been so long since I watched a BL, and despite knowing that the genre in manga form has mostly moved away from a lot of the dub-con tropes (unless you're looking for it of course), it's lovely to see something that actually feels like a proper and semi-realistic romance.
Kurosawa seems like a super sweet dude who's ALSO aware this is a BL, but also that gay guys don't just exist everywhere and that the chance of his crush returning his affection is low.
But. There is no way Adachi is straight. He's absolutely either bi, and/or gay + somewhere on the ace-spec (demi?) depending on how things play out from here.
I bet Adachi stumbled into reading a BL manga (or two or three or) at some point in his younger years, and it had more of an impact on his psyche than he remembers, lmao.
His fascination with knowing Kurosawa has a crush on him is adorable, and he's absolute confusion at stumbling across the other man's fantasies is hilarious.
The tension between them is beautiful when Adachi is pretending to sleep, and we all KNOW Kurosawa is thinking of his sleeping face and then playing it off as just grabbing his phone. I repeat, there is NO WAY Adachi is straight, lmao.
Tumblr media
In response to this rhetorical question, No and Yes. If Adachi was the woman, saying yes would imply that she was aware she was being asked to have sex and giving consent (at least by Japanese standards I ASSUME? I've never been in this situation). And if Kurosawa was the woman, that is one very forward and direct lady who is absolutely Down To Fuck (Again, by Japanese standards afaik).
God, then they go out for yakiniku/Korean bbq the next day, and he finds himself enjoying the other man's company and wishing they could be friends, only to brush up again him and remember this man is in love with him. Adachi, you precious child, this is why you're so lovable. The immediate regret for taking the other man's feelings so lightly and not knowing what to do as he runs away is heart wrenching and OF COURSE THE EPISODE ENDS THERE.
It's a running theme that Adachi is worried about other's opinions and doesn't know how to rely on other, which tends to be a negative, but in this case, he's so conscientious of hurting Kurosawa by taking his feelings lightly. Even though he ends up hurting him anyways, I see this as a favorable take on the typical people-pleaser type character.
I'm not really looking to the implied trope of "Best Friend who also has a crush and claims to know him best" in the next episode, but since everything else has been subverted, I'm hoping that will get subverted too? Especially knowing that Best Friend-kun is in the secondary pairing from the PVs.
I WANT TO BINGE THIS. THIS IS GOING TO BE SO DAMN CUTE.
The HypMic Reference:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Adachi is a Toned Down Doppo, who is an over worked businessman at a black company who might as well be Canadian for how often he says sorry, but goes into Berserker mode and absolutely destroys his opponents when pushed too far or his partners are hurt, and is Hifumi's emotion support human.
Kurosawa is a super Toned Down Hifumi, who is the #1 host at a club in Shinjuku and has a split personality of the perfect princely boyfriend, and a charai/flashy and "it'll be fine lol" personality, who is basically a housewife for Doppo and is also Doppo's emotional support human.
There aren't THAT many connection points between the two, but still, I like the comparison, aha.
Anyways, My Hopes For This Anime, having NOT read the manga and not wanting spoilers, are that these two get together by half way through the season and then we get the "newly dating" stages of their relationship, and various mishaps that only serve to strengthen their relationship. They seem like a very good couple and it would be a waste for them to not get together.
If they don't get together until episode 12, I will be so blue balled that I will have to drop it if only to get the circulation in my brain back.
Hype for more!
ep2 ep3 ep4 ep5 ep6 <- these will eventually become links

Random ask, who are your favorite romantic relationship's couples in any media, like anime/manga, tv series, books, etc (can be canon or non-canon)? Feel free if you want to write the reasons or not of why you love them....
Ohhh, I do love a romance so I kind of have endless answers to this question. I'll try and start with shows that I still regularly engage with and post about:
Ida/Aoki from Kieta Hatsukoi (both the JDrama version and the manga).
Adachi/Kurosawa from Cherry Magic (JDrama version; I have not read the manga or watched the anime yet LOL)
Pat/Pran from Bad Buddy
Fleabag/the Hot Priest from Fleabag (they live in my head rent free)
Jason/Janet and Chidi/Eleanor from the Good Place (also Tahani/Eleanor tbh. Everyone in that show has chemistry with each other)
Cheoljong/Bong-Hwan (as So-Yong) from Mr. Queen
Kakashi/Yamato from Naruto (obviously LOL) and also Minato/Kushina (I also love Naruto/Sasuke/Sakura but I think way more about Kakashi's gen than theirs LOL)
Ichigo/Rukia (mainly) but also Orihime/Tatsuki and Orihime/Uryu from Bleach
Makoto/Haru from Free! Also Sosuke/Rin
Maou/Emi from Devil is a Part-Timer! (it's the manga I follow the most closely, but I have seen the anime; although I have not read the light novels and actively avoid spoilers for those LOL)
Recently, I've fallen into Megumi/Yuji and Nanami/Gojo from JJK (also anime only; have not read past Hidden Inventory)
Roy/Riza and Greed/Ling/Lanfan from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (if we are counting throuples)
Scott/Allison/Isaac from Teen Wolf (yet another throuple LOL)
I could write for ages about what I like about each couple but some common themes are friends-to-lovers or enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, repressed longing, a fun and funky supernatural theme to the relationship (body swaps; power swaps; mind-reading; etc.). Bonus points if it involves a bisexual character (canonically like Aoki or Bong-Hwan or Eleanor or someone who is Bisexual to Me like Scott or Kakashi.)
Also if we're talking about shows I don't necessarily post online about but that live in my brain affectionately:
Captain Hook/Emma Swan from Once Upon A Time
Laura/Carmilla from the Carmilla webseries
Chad/Sonny from Sonny with a Chance (don't look at me; I love Chad Dylan Cooper)
Lucy/Amy from the D.E.B.S. film
Rory/Jess from Gilmore Girls
Nathan/Haley from One Tree Hill (though I still haven't seen the last few seasons)
Seeley Booth/Temperance Brennan (Bones) from Bones (also haven't seen the last few seasons)
Also it's been a while since I've read something other than light novels, manga, or tie-in works, but I do still love Peeta/Katniss from The Hunger Games
Common themes here: Semi-contentious beginning to their relationship, long-game flirting, big kiss moments, falling in love with someone your loved ones don't like at first, working together as a team, big banterers, protecting each other, one half of the relationship being a bit bolder and cockier, working in the same general field (LOL @ how that applies to a few of these couples; do Lucy and Amy work in the same field because one is a thief and one is a spy?) Anyway, this is not an exhaustive list but definitely covers more than a few of my favourites. Thanks for asking!

do you have any queer anime recs :) ?
Fair warning my recs are BL or BL-adjacent bc that's what I'm interested in. They're also not very obscure titles.
As far as explicitly queer stuff, I've (semi-)recently watched and enjoyed:
Sasaki to Miyano, which is about a fudanshi and his classmate bonding over a shared interest in BL and realizing their attraction to each other in the process. Very cute and funny, especially if you're familiar with BL fandom.
Given, which primarily focuses on a guy teaching his classmate how to play guitar, and convincing him to join his band. A bit heavier in tone than Sasa to Miya, but it's not super dark. I cared a lot about the characters.
Doukyuusei, an OVA and another music-focused one that really leans into the opposites attract dynamic. IIRC the manga extends past the events of the OVA and into their college years, but I haven't read it yet.
For something that's not an explicit romance but has heavy queer subtext, I really liked Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu. Very heavy themes in that one; it's a period drama first and foremost.
And if you're looking for manga, I recently read Our Dreams At Dusk, which also isn't a romance but is centered on a cast of queer people. Main character is a gay teen struggling with his identity and the fallout of being outted, but other characters have a range of ages and identities. Heavy themes in this one, too.
Oh, and, of course, Go For It, Nakamura-kun! is a quick but good read about a boy who has a crush on his classmate and tries to work up the courage to ask him out. Pretty lighthearted, and the source of the "I'm up (and a closeted homosexual)" meme.
I wish I had more manga recs but I haven't read read a ton of, shall we say, plot-focused BL since my late teens, so I don't have many strong recs for it.

For the OC questions: 5, 24, 31 and 40!
Sweeeet!:D thank you for yet another ask oml <3 🤧
Let's see!(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*.✧
5. If you could make only one of your OCs popular/known, who would it be?
Tumblr media
Oh pretty much my semi-self insert & sailor moon oc Mia Hideno (Amethyst as a villain) 🤧 I mean it's also the one I have the biggest history with, and my 2nd most developed and thought out one after Evelyn(unless we speak lore/inspo wise where it's an equal footing) . Like imma be fr here I'm surprised that an anime/manga that named 90% and counting of its villains after minerals/gemstones there wasn't anyone in canon after that (like,,,it can be the sailor earth of villain ocs <3). Plus I'm very much set on how her story goes (with multiple endings.) So all I need is to resume my SM rewatch that was paused after aot pt.3 trailer was released and I'm on it! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*.✧
And like,,, her and demande,,, my og oc ship that's still kicking today 😆💎💐 what I clung on to until creating reinelyn :")
24. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why??
Ahhh right, I knew right away who would it be and that reminded me- I don't think I've introduced aya here yet have I?:3
Because shopping with her would be the dream tbh. Your wardrobe would feel like a blessing had struck it. Also she sweet 🤧🤧
Tumblr media
31. Pick one OC of yours and explain what their tumblr blog would be like (what they reblog, layout, anything really)
Just one? :c I'm going with main trio for this one
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Evelyn: mostly just pretty and cute aesthetic pictures and philosophical/ motivational quotes. She doesn't have that much free time on her hands so when she does it rather be in a positive territory that doesn't drain her further. Although should she befriend anyone also continuously support whatever they make by sharing it with commentary.
Mia: exclusive art account. A close resemblance to the one I have myself indeed (semi-self insert indeed xD). Should she have a personal one kinda like Evelyn's but also a lot of character meta/analysis posts reblogged. For certain a villain apologist 😆
Cecille: mostly short personal posts, doesn't bother with anything that isn't pfp and a snarky line for the blog title. probably gets anon hate claiming her attitude is ass so she replies with one 🥱 (as in "ain't reading all that") and leaves it. (I love her 🤧)
40. Any fond memories linked to your characters? Feel free to share!
Honestly nothing overly specific of an event considering I kept a lot about them to myself for a long time but,,, let's say these
For Mia just about how everytime I have a brainrot for her it's like the muse had struck me I had to keep a list if I burn out before doing them all so it can be pulled for next time 🤧💐
In Evelyn's case it's more recent knowing pretty much everyone I talk about her with is interested & likes her🥹. I mean that really gives me a chance to go and further ny writing skill and it's also nice to look in her tag and see old and new stuff
My pride and joy that's what she is ✨ :")

So, it's been documented before that following the simplistic criminal villains of Satoshi Tajiri's games (Team Rocket), we had the self-righteous visionary villains seeking to create a new world through destructive means of Junichi Masuda's games (Team Aqua / Team Magma, Team Galactic, Team Plasma and Team Flare), and now we have the underprivileged young villains who are actually decoys to the real villains who hold institutional power of Shigeru Ohmori's games (the Draconid Tribe and the Devon Corporation, Team Skull and the Aether Foundation, Team Yell and Macro Cosmos, Team Star and Professor Sada / Professor Turo).
I'm not at all against the Ohmori model of villainy; lord knows it was high past time to move on from the whole "use the box art Legendary to create a new world!" formula. However, I've recently realized a major negative consequence of it the franchise has suffered, which is that adaptations and spin-offs have much less to work with compared to the villains that came before. For the anime, Pokémon Adventures manga, and Pokémon Masters EX game, there is something....off about how every villain following Lysandre and Team Flare get utilized.
Anime: Prior villainous teams and their leaders were utilized in the service of wrapping up long-running story arcs across each series. But in the Sun & Moon series, Faba of the Aether Foundation is only used as the villain for one short-lived consecutive story arc and from there on out is a mainstay good guy...as is Lusamine, who is never truly villainous at all here. Gladion's ties to Team Skull are removed, and Guzma only shows up in the series' final year to be the antagonist of the Alola League arc. His role is not pay-off to anything, as Team Skull were just occasional villains-of-the-week who had no ongoing arc, nor did they ever really hint at having a boss before Guzma showed up. Then in the following Journeys series, Chairman Rose, Oleana and the Macro Cosmos organization is, yet again, just villains for a short-lived consecutive arc, while Team Yell only features in one episode where they don't even bother pretending to be villains. And for all of these villains, the societal issues that they're supposed to represent go completely undiscussed and unexplored, as if they were just too hot for tots.
Manga: Lysandre of Team Flare was the last major villain in Pokémon Adventures to be, irrefutably and unquestionably, THE Big Bad. Yes, Malva stood at his side, but it was clearly his mad vision of a "cleansed" Kalos region that posed the chief threat of the story arc. Following this was the Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire arc, where it's hard to say who the "Big Bad" is since the chief threat is the Meteor Delta which ultimately every "villainous" character unites to help stop from destroying the planet. And the Sun/Moon and Sword/Shield arc follow the exact same template: no single "Big Bad", just an assortment of intertwined human characters (Guzma, Lusamine and Faba in the former; Bede, Chairman Rose and Oleana, Sordward and Shielbert, and Soudo in the latter) who invertedly cause a powerful and vicious creature (Necrozma in the former; Eternatus in the latter) to break loose of its confines and threaten to destroy the region. And the most straight-up evil of these characters in both arcs (Faba in the former, Sordward and Shielbert in the latter) are played semi-comedically.
Masters EX: Zinnia? Never a villain in this game. Guzma? Ditto. Plumeria? Ditto. Lusamine? Ditto. Faba? Ditto, despite a red herring making it look like he's going to be. Chairman Rose and Oleana? Ditto....OK, Rose does lean toward villainy (albeit the well-intentioned variety) in the first half of his debut, but the second half neuters it immediately with a fair tournament used as the resolution to the conflict he started, and he very easily changes his ways at the end of it. Very different from how Giovanni, Archie, Maxie, Cyrus, Ghetsis, Lysandre and all affiliated characters sans Colress got utilized when they were brought into the game (it's never even stopped with Giovanni and Ghetsis, while Cyrus and Lysandre walk the line).
Now, things aren't all bad. Volo in Legends: Arceus is a throwback to the old "destroy the world and make a new one" type of villain done in a fresh and interesting way, the Explorers in the Horizons anime series are an all-new evil team that is shaping up to be the most interesting the anime side of the franchise has ever had, and just from the design alone Briar from Scarlet/Violet's DLC expansion shows promise. Still, it honestly feels like the mainline game series straying away from traditional villainy has compromised what kind of villainy can be done in the other parts of the franchise, and for me that's been kind of a disappointment.

For the artist ask thingy. 1, 2, 8, 9, 14
Hello!! Sorry for the wait, I wanted to get home to access my pc for an old pic I wanted to share.
1.) What canon character(s) do you love to draw the most? (And why?)
Tech (isn't it obvious? 🤓). I cannot articulate why though. I just get a good feeling when I draw him. I think it has to do with the fact that he's my current fictional crush. However, I do enjoy drawing modern au version of him the most. Why? Even when I don't want to, I have a tendency to comply to canon sources as much as possible. In a modern au, that is not an issue and I have a lot more creative freedom, so that's why I like it. And also he's totally not maybe dead there so 🤷‍♀️😅 also why is he such a good looking model?
2.) What do you think makes your art iconic?
Last time I was active on tumblr, I think I was known for my use of very vibrant and saturated choice of colours. Also I used to highlight the lineart with fully saturated CMY colours. I’ve never seen anyone else do that at the time, so I think it was very recognisable. And since I really like you, I wanna share an old piece of art made in 2016 (looking through old art is embarrassing, but this was probably the peak of my fanart career tbh haha) ❤.
Tumblr media
As of right now though, I don’t feel like my art is iconic in any way. I don’t think I’ve drawn enough to have something recognisable going for me.
8. Are there artists that inspire you (and maybe shaped the way you draw your art)?
This is a hard one 😅 I completely stepped away from art during 2018, and when I returned I sort of just continued on with what I knew from before. But since it had been such a long time, I don’t remember what artists influenced me or shaped my art to make it like it is today. Rather than specific artists, I think I was more inspired by art styles, if that makes sense? I started with anime and manga, and then I tried to transition to a more semi-realistic style as I grew up. I was really into the art of my favourite games at the time, which were Overwatch and World of Warcraft. Also I think the art style of Arcane is so very lovely, I think I’d like to emulate it more in my current paintings.
9. How many drafts you have right now, be honest-
I am HONEST I don’t think I have too many drafts
The Band Batch x 2
Greasy mechanic!Tech
A special something about modern au Tech featuring a certain automobile 👀
Another Tech portrait in funky lighting.
Band au Crosshair (concept: he is smoking (hot))
A little self-indulgent Tech something to comfort my soul
I have a lot more ideas, but those have not made it to the canvas just yet.
14. Funniest thing that happened to you during the drawing process?
In recent time, maybe…that time I posted a sketch of Tech with an exposed neck and shoulders and the absolutely feral responses I got from the denizens of this site 😂 It happened on the art blog, and unfortunately I've deleted the post when I cleaned it up 😢
Thank you so much for sending these! They're good distractions on bad art days, you have no idea how much I appreciate it!!

Are you #TeamAnime or #TeamSemiReal? If you prefer the anime aesthetic, would these semi-real anime-style eyes tickle your fancy? Or does the nose-breathing aspect of a semi-real still put you off? I used to prefer the anime aesthetic (because that's all we made up until 2019), but I lean toward the semi-real style these days. That's not to say there won't be more anime styles as you have seen over the past few days - and yes - there are new anime sculpts and characters in the works - some of which you may have seen as 3D prints in the Timeline section on the Smart Doll online store. I've read how some folks think anime characters look like bugs (understandable) - I've also seen how some dislike the semi-real style because it reminds them too much of...humans (also understandable ;-). If you are in either camp, what aspect puts you off the opposite style and why? I've seen folks who preferred the anime aesthetic go on to buy a semi-real, but I have yet to see folks going the other way - or am I not looking hard enough? If you are #TeamAnime, is there an anime-style character that you would consider as a semi-real? Same question to folks who prefer the semi-real aesthetic. The most recent semi-real to anime conversion was North (Relentless), which worked out quite well and became one of our most popular anime styles. Oh - we have already electroplated the paint masks for a semi-real Oceana - we just need to do the usual etching/soldering tweaks. #tokyo #smartdoll #anime #manga #3dprinting #japan (at Mirai Store Tokyo) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoWjG1ayD76/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I don’t know why, but I’ve been thinking a lot about webtoons recently (in the last hour or so), and the one thing that struck me is how certain webtoons just seem to... fall off. Or become popular to hate. I guess this is just a small paragraph of my opinions, so buckle up or don’t:
Problems with webtoons and why some don't work out. (In my opinion. Don't sue me.)
No. 1: Webtoons fall off because they get popular, then people realize they are problematic and collectively decide to cancel them. Prime example: Lore Olympus or the Boyfriends webtoon. Honestly both of them are just too close to being …fetish-y. For me to care about them anymore. Also, they’re too clique for people to defend. So basically webtoon allows them to be popularized for their pretty face and then it becomes a tiktok version of cancelation.
No. 2: Webtoons that are interesting to start out, but the plot is drawn out, takes a weird turn, is rushed, or the creator runs out of ideas. This is also often paired by a non-diverse cast and characters that are just too close to bland for people to latch onto. Ex: Un-Ordinary, which fits almost all the descriptions above.
No. 3: The plot starts off well enough, but the art style or characters aren’t memorable. I don’t want to give an example because this is more of a personal thing, but it’s still important. Webcomics take a long time to update, especially because they are made by people who most likely aren’t getting paid a whole lot (or at all!) for their work. This means that readers wait longer stints between updates or hiatuses and must have an anchoring point when they come back. Plus, unlike mangas, anime, or mainstream printed comics, webcomics tend to have smaller/more concentrated fanbases, so readers will not be bombarded with fan-content in between updates reminding them of characters and plot points. Bottom line: make the comic memorable and highly impactful, and write multiple interesting/relatable characters in order to effectively draw readers back into the plot.
Now for things that make webtoons successful, or at least enjoyable. To me.
No.1: Develop a universe that is iconic enough to be drawn back into. An example of this is Señorita Cometa and other comics by the same author. As soon as I start reading again, I have multiple unique characters I immediately remember, as well as masterful worldbuilding that is easy enough to unjust back to.
No.2: Have a plan for the plot, and stop when it is done. Ex: Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint and ShootAround. Omniscient Reader is long and ongoing, and I often have trouble adjusting to the plot when I decide to come back to it. However, the plot is still going strong. It has structure, a foreseeable end, and plot-twisted instead of dropping off somewhere. I cannot remember how long ShootAround was since I read it in a day, but it was mildly long, enough for the main cast to ‘grow up’ and have a semi-concrete resolution. It stopped when it needed to and left no shoes untied. Bam. Legacy secured. MCU better take notes.
No. 3: HAVE A DIVERSE CAST. Create characters a wide range of people can relate to. Avoid stereotypes and tropes regarding minority characters in order to create MEANINGFUL representation! Don’t just have a throwaway best friend or bg characters either (I love the owl house but yes they are guilty of the ‘funny black friend’ trope. Don’t do that.). Do some research. Talk to people. Expand ya worldview. This creates a cast of characters that are memorable, unique, enjoyable, and will probably raise your credibility as a good writer IF done right. Remember, diversity is key and not just in skin tone either.
No.4: Artstyle. Obviously stick with what you’re good at, but make it interesting! This includes how settings, backgrounds, colors, and faces are handled. If you can, make it iconic! I don’t read this anymore, but a good example for this would be Ava’s Demon. The creator’s style is recognizable, soft yet vibrant, super colorful, and detailed enough to immediately capture your attention. Another example would be BUUZA! or Phototaxis. Note the color palettes, lineart styles, all the things. Do whatever is comfortable, but I personally would avoid artstyles that blend in with the rest.
No.5: Formatting and design choices. The comic should be readable and aesthetically appealing. Personally I don’t appreciate long intros/title pages but they serve a purpose! Things such as formatting scenes, text size/font, speech bubble placing/shape, and whether or not the title doubles as a logo/wordmark should al be considered!
No.6: Just make something you like. Be able to look at it and say “yo thats cool”.
I’m stopping because this is turning into an advice column. Can you tell I want to create a webcomic? No? Good, keep it that way.

I'm looking for more bnha rps! I am open to rping with all ages but keep in mind that I am an adult.
I've got a couple of plots saved for certain ships but I'm also open to coming up with one together. The only thing I'm not willing to rp is smut (leading up to it is fine but a timeskip will be necessary)
Some ships I'd like to do are-
BakuDeku (Izuku)
TodoDeku (Can play either)
ShinKami (Can play either but would prefer Denki)
MONOKAMI (Can play either but would prefer Denki)
ShinMono (Can play either but would prefer Neito)
SeroRoki ( Todoroki)
IidaYama (Aoyama)
EraserMic (Can play either)
ShigaZawa (Can play either)
Character in brackets is who I'd like to play.
I am open to most other ships, but would prefer MxM. I'm also open to doing multiple ships in one rp (if anything I prefer it)
I rp in third person, semi lit - lit depending on the plot. My starters tend to be a bit long, but replies vary in length.
I'm caught up on the anime aside from the recent movie. I'm not yet caught up on the manga yet.
DM me on here if you're interested.(I don't have discord)

Kuro First-Person Pronouns: Our Ciel Phantomhive
Unlike English, Japanese has many first-person pronouns ( “I”). These often will give you information about the type of person the character is. Are they very feminine or masculine? Polite or brusque? Young or old? Are they higher or lower in the social hierarchy? How close, psychologically, are they to the listener?
It’s not uncommon for one person to use different pronouns in different situations, and that is sometimes the case in the manga, depending on the character.
These ofc get lost in translation and are something I find very interesting. So this series will go through some of the Black Butler characters and show you which pronoun(s) they tend to use in Japanese and what that says about them as a character.
[Even more about Japanese pronouns.]
•私•僕•俺•儂•自分•我•私•僕•俺•儂•自分•我•
Our Ciel Phantomhive - 僕
Used By: (Young) Men | Casual or Polite: Semi-Formal
He consistently uses 僕 (boku) as his first-person pronoun of choice.
Here’s a couple examples from Volume 1 and then one of the more recent chapters:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This pronoun is an interesting one. Traditionally, 僕 is one of the typically “masculine” pronouns and is usually the first one that young boys are taught. Even though it is used by adults as well, it can sometimes have the connotation of childishness and immaturity.
However, the pronoun’s kanji 僕, also means male “servant” or “slave,” and it was considered humble in the same way one may say in English “I, your humble servant.” However, in the Meiji period it was adopted by academics (as a way of setting themselves apart from the uneducated), so it went from being a strictly humble, more casual pronoun to one that was more polite and elevated.
In the past, 僕 was actually used by older men, but now it’s associated more with young men, or men who want a pronoun that comes off as less brusquely masculine. It is also used sometimes by women nowadays, partly bc of the influence of manga and anime, and its “masculine” association has softened even more in recent years.
僕 is a kind of middle ground between the more neutral /formal/ distant 私 (watashi)—what Sebastian uses—and the rougher, more casual, harsher masculine pronoun 俺 (ore), which Bard, Wolf, and Ron use.
Additionally, 僕 can be used as a kind of second-person pronoun for young boys as a means of addressing them, sort of like we might say “kid” or “boy” to a child in English. (Note that this is not the same word Bard uses in recent chapters when talking about Ciel as a “runt,” btw.)
So what does this mean for Ciel? Well, it distinguishes him from Sebastian. Even though he also speaks more formally, you can easily identify his speech over his butler’s by pronoun alone. It also is a reminder that despite pretense, Ciel is still a young boy.
It’s also significant because 僕 is not typically a pronoun used with those above you. As an Earl, it would be rare for Ciel to have many (other than the Queen) who are above him in social station, so it fits that he uses that for himself.
Tumblr media
Even with the Queen, Ciel uses 僕. Perhaps, it’s meant to be a sign of his younger age, but it could be precisely because he’s talking to the Queen that he doesn’t switch to a different pronoun. I know, that seems contradictory to what I said before, but 僕 still has an association with humbleness, so it can make you appear more humble or deferent, especially in formal situations. With that logic, then it makes sense that he would not change pronouns, in order to emphasize that he is, quite literally, her humble servant.
It’s impossible to say, but Ciel’s usage of 僕 could be a holdover from being the “spare.” (Though I’m not sure what pronouns Real Ciel uses yet so I could be blowing smoke with this assessment.)
In general, Ciel’s pronoun doesn’t tell us quite as much about him as Sebastian’s did, but it still gives us some insight into his character.
•私•僕•俺•儂•自分•我•私•僕•俺•儂•自分•我•
This is part of a series. More to come!
Sebastian | Our Ciel | Bard | Mey Rin | Finny | Lau | Grelle | Undertaker | Real Ciel | Blavat | Doll | Agni | Soma | Snake | Layla & Al
•私•僕•俺•儂•自分•我•私•僕•俺•儂•自分•我•

I've got a couple of plots saved for certain ships but I'm also open to coming up with one together. The only thing I'm not willing to rp is smut (leading up to it is fine but a timeskip will be necessary)
Some ships I'd like to do are-
BakuDeku*
BakuShin*
BakuKami*
TodoDeku
ShinDeku
ShinKami*
MonoShin
SeroRoki*
ShigaZawa
KiriDeku (I really want to do a fantasy au with these two)
*Most wanted
I highlighted the characters I can write as.
I am open to most other ships, so long as their MxM (no OCs). I'm also open to doing doubles if there's more than one ship that interests you.
I rp in third person, semi lit - lit depending on the plot. My starters tend to be long, but replies vary in length.
I'm caught up on the anime aside from the recent movie. I'm not yet caught up on the manga yet.
DM me on here if you're interested. (I don't have discord)
