Sara Ali Khan starrer Ae Watan Mere Watan to release on March 22: Report : Bollywood News — Bollywood Hungama
According to the latest report, the makers will unveil the teaser on March 8, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
The digital arm of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Dharmatic Entertainment, is all set to kick off the cinematic year with the release of Sara Ali Khan’s Ae Watan Mere Watan . As per the latest buzz, the much-anticipated period drama is scheduled to premiere in March this year during Holi weekend.
If a report by PeepingMoon is something to go by then the Sara Ali Khan starrer will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from March 22 onwards. For the unversed, Ae Watan Mere Watan is based on a true story. It unfolds the compelling tale of Usha Mehta, a young girl whose pivotal role in the freedom fight for Indian independence is vividly portrayed.
The lead role is essayed by Sara Ali Khan, marking her debut in the biographical genre. Directed by Kannan Iyer from the script penned by Darab Farooqui, the film features a stellar cast including Sparsh Srivastava, Anand Tiwari, Benedict Garrett, Alexx O’Nell, and Abhay Verma.
The report also stated that the makers have strategically chosen International Women’s Day, March 8, to unveil the much-anticipated trailer.
Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that Ae Watan Mere Watan is the first of five projects slated for release by Dharmatic Entertainment in 2024. Alongside the biographical drama, the studio has an impressive lineup including three new web series and the third season of the popular Netflix show, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.
However, the official announcement of the same is yet to be made.

An e-commerce marketplace to spur growth in Latin America
Today, people in countries like the United States take it for granted that they can press a button on their phone and receive nearly any product at their front door the next day. But people living in rural parts of lower-income countries often must choose between travelling to cities or paying high prices for many products.
Now the online marketplace Pacifiko, founded by Jorge Schippers MBA ’13, is expanding access to low-cost products in Central America.
The company offers tens of thousands of products on its website and uses its own fulfillment centers in Guatemala and Costa Rica to provide fast deliveries to every corner of both countries. The goal is to offer a convenient, more affordable shopping experience, and by pursuing that goal, Pacifiko’s impact in the region has gone far beyond convenience for consumers.
The company launched at the end of 2019 in a world that was soon upended by the Covid-19 pandemic. Many of its early sales were health-related items like masks and hand sanitizer. It also found itself at the center of lifestyle shifts, selling huge amounts of home office and home school supplies in a region where such products were increasingly difficult to find.
“It was stressful because we were getting orders across the country at the same time that we were standing up our operations, but we were adding value, so it was also incredibly rewarding,” Schippers recalls.
More recently, Pacifiko has helped facilitate donations by working with the Mathile Institute for the Advancement of Human Nutrition, which is on a mission to end child malnutrition in Central America. When the nonprofit discovered Pacifiko, it added its micronutrient Chispuditos product to the marketplace and told its donors they could purchase a large amount through Pacifiko, after which the company could distribute it in the rural areas where families need it most.
Schippers, who is from Guatemala, takes great pride in seeing his home country’s economy evolve. In fact, contributing to Central America’s development was one of the reasons he came to MIT’s Sloan School of Management in 2011 for his MBA.
“I was really interested in the ‘mens et manus’ idea,” Schippers recalls, referring to MIT’s motto, which is Latin for “mind and hand.” “MIT exposes you to experiences in which theory and practice go hand in hand. It’s about building something that can have impact on the world. I love that mentality.”
As an MBA candidate, Schippers took classes in operations, systems engineering, entrepreneurship, and management. He also attended a presentation from Jeff Wilke SM ’93, former CEO of Amazon’s Worldwide Consumer business. The experience inspired him to join Amazon after graduation, where he helped the e-commerce giant expand to new markets including Mexico, Australia, and the Middle East.
“The expansion to Mexico and the Middle East really opened my mind to the impact this could have because those were more developing economies,” Schippers recalls.
Schippers saw Amazon’s reluctance to expand into smaller developing countries like those in Latin America, so he decided to start an e-commerce company himself.
“I saw a pocket of countries in the world, relatively small countries, where e-commerce penetration was very low compared to developed economies,” Schippers recalls. “These are places where e-commerce as a percentage of retail spending is less than 10 percent. In most developed economies, it’s 20, 30, or even 40 percent.”
There are a number of ways Pacifiko’s operations specifically cater to the region’s economies. For one thing, it offers cash payments on delivery and bank account transfers, since fewer people have credit cards. Pacifiko also offers one- and two-day motorcycle delivery through a mix of its own services and local logistics companies.
“We don’t discriminate based on where you’re buying from,” Schippers says. “The price is the same for everyone and the accessibility is the same. It’s a big value add: Independent of where you live, you have access to tens of thousands of products in one place.”
The company is also encouraging local artisans and entrepreneurs to sell on Pacifiko to spur more production in local economies.
“We want local products so people can buy things produced in their home countries,” Schippers says. “We have examples like local people writing their first book and selling it on Pacifiko, local businesses producing garments to sell through Pacifiko. It’s an additional sales channel at a very low-entry cost, and it gives them access to the country’s entire population.”
Contributing to the local economy is a central part of Pacifiko’s mission. The vast majority of Latin American businesses are family-owned. Pacifiko, conversely, has raised venture capital, and Schippers sees the company’s success as a way to attract more foreign investment in the region.
“We want to prove technology companies can be successful here,” Schippers says. “By successfully scaling a large technology company, more money should come to this region of the world. As we grow, we expect to start seeing the network effect for money coming here and more entrepreneurs building large, scalable businesses.”
As the company continues to evolve, Schippers says Pacifiko could begin offering credit to suppliers and buyers, which would unlock a new way to grow businesses in developing countries, where traditional financing is harder to come by.
“I worked at a large telecommunications company before coming to MIT, and around 2010 very few people had access to affordable data plans for smartphones,” Schippers says. “Now everyone has a smartphone in these countries. It’s great to see. I tell my team that’s what’s going to happen with e-commerce in the next 15 years.”

so if you don't know what the lifa app is... here is my extremely confusing explanation. if you can't understand it, i don't blame you
the basics of my app:
The app is for pc, phone, ipad, and other electronic devices (or on paper in drs without smartphones)
It will automatically appear and it can not be deleted. I know everything there is to know about Lifa and I control the app with absolute ease.
If someone were to go on a device where the Lifa app is on, they wouldn’t be able to see it or tap on it at all. Only I can see it or use it and it is 100% real and 100% effective
The lifa app doesn’t take up ANY storage
Lifa knows exactly what I mean because it is connected to my subconscious mind. It knows what I mean exactly, and all intrusive thoughts are ignored
The lifa app doesn’t need wifi
I can do ANYTHING and I mean ANYTHING with Lifa, no restrictions, and nobody ever suspects that I’m using it
Nothing I search or watch on my lifa app is traceable by anyone but me (not even cell or wifi companies)

In ATM machines it appears that the card only has 1000€/$, but in the Lifa app it will be ∞ €/$. If the card gets lost, it will automatically disappear. wot rewatch 1x4: the dragon reborn
spoilers for s1 of the show plus the s2 teasers and trailers, plus through The Dragon Reborn ish in the books. And one casting spoiler for S3.
I really do love the cold opens. This one tells us so much! We're introduced to Logain but we're also introduced to the corruption on saidin, to how much power can be wielded by users of the One Power, and to how the corruption can both influence someone but Logain still has the choice of whether or not to listen to the voices talking to him.
We see the madness in Logain but also his own strength of character and ability to show mercy even when he's hearing whispers that he should just kill those opposed to him. Great preview of the future for Rand. Especially since Moiraine is going to later on believe that Logain hearing the voices of 'the previous Dragon' to be a sign that he isn't the Dragon Reborn, but it's another thing that she's got her wishful thinking goggles on for.
"There's a place for anyone at my side, even my enemies." ; "The last Dragon broke the world; I plan to bind it." I feel like we're seeing the seeds of some of the choices that Rand will also make in the future here, already being set up (the benefits of being able to tell the story knowing the ending). Logain understands the assignment... he's just not the actual rebirth of the last Dragon.
So we go from Logain at the height of his strength to Nynaeve looking over the camp where he's captured. Having the Greens join the Reds on this hunt makes a lot of sense -- we know that this specific one was requested for by the White Tower, and we can see the difference between this approved hunt to take down a false Dragon (where he gets shielded and put in a cage to stand trial back in Tar Valon) vs the Red-only "gentle ASAP" approach from the cold open of the first episode. Authorized vs unauthorized hunts.
It makes a ton of logistical sense for them to scale down the number of people required to hold the shield on Logain. Just from a 'how many characters we're going to have in this scene' standpoint. Jordan could have as many characters in a scene as he wanted, because he didn't need to have any actors playing them. Plus, this way, we can focus more on the characters that do exist and really get to know them better.
So we already have two factions set up -- Kerene supporting the Amyrlin and Tower Law, and Liandrin arguing that they have the right to administer 'field justice'. Will the fault line of the coup fall along similar lines? I also think it was a good idea to have the Vileness currently happening rather than having happened in the past.
I love all the insights we get in these episodes about Warders, and Warders having their own subculture within the White Tower. And the fun confirmation that Moiraine and Lan are Just Like That and are closed off even to other Aes Sedai and Warders.
Also love all the Lan & Nynaeve build-up that we get as well. <3 a lot of good bonding time and banter and I love that she just clicks with the Warders.
The time that Egwene and Perrin spend with Aram & co is very lovely and charming. Removing Elyas from the equation and putting the hesitation on Perrin was a good move, because it lets the Tuatha'an explain themselves rather than having them explained by an outsider who disapproves of their ways.
Everything about Rand and Mat's roadtrip with Thom is so great. 10/10 would have loved another episode of it but since Amazon didn't let them have one, I do think they did a great job of boiling the trip down to both the narrative and emotional essentials. It really does make me curious about how Thom will be weaved back into the story because he only has connections to three characters now (I'm assuming the backstory with Elayne is intact), rather than knowing the whole troupe, so it feels like it needs to be Rand or Mat that bring him back into the story, but we'll have passed the canon moments when that happens.
There is so much useful lore information in Alanna and Moiraine's convo that show haters just flat-out ignored because it didn't fit their narratives - Alanna straight-up talks about not being able to see Logain's weaves!
Protective!Rand really begins to peek out in this episode, even here at the start with the farmer but more and more as Mat gets worse. Also poor Rand and Mat are covered in mud.
13. Mat and bonding with little girls! If we do get Olver, I hope we get a young girl instead of a boy, to keep on theme. And Birgitte namedrop, still exciting to hear.
14. Last episode, Thom bonded with Mat and, this episode, he bonds with Rand (over concern about Mat). Thom also helpfully puts the idea into Rand's head that Mat has 'all the signs' of being a male channeler, accidentally enabling Rand's massive case of denial that lasts until Moiraine heals Mat and tells them it was the dagger causing his issues. Oh, Thom's story is so heartbreaking here. And Thom promises here to try to keep the two of them safe, and away from Aes Sedai. Really really curious how this setup will play out when Thom returns in s3.
15. Nynaeve getting through her moment of poly confusion now is a great little moment of setup for the viewers too -- showing that this can be acknowledged as a valid relationship in this world. And we will maybe get a hint about Aiel culture next season as well.
16. Poor Moiraine and her pangs of uncertainty over Logain. Uncertainty that will only grow once Nynaeve's power is revealed.
17. Last episode, it was Rand's turn to remind us about his relationship with Egwene -- this episode, it's Egwene's turn, during her private conversation with Aram. I do love Egwene falling into a new culture and immediately finding things about it to love and appreciate. And Perrin is taking the Tuatha'an more seriously than in the books, because it's so much more grounded in the reality and the faith of their world and culture.
18. Rand trying to comfort and reassure Mat, I'm fine. Totally fine. Not emotional at all. And even before they know that the Fade is there in the farmhouse, Thom and Rand are just wanting to get Mat out and safe. Thom is ride or die for these kids after knowing them for a handful of days.
19. Nynaeve is SO curious about Lan and so hesitant to admit to it. You are not intruding! He already has a big crush on you! It's such a lovely moment between them.
20. Moiraine taking advantage of the attack to interrogate Logain... Lirandrin taking advantage of the battle as a reason to justify gentling Logain... they get to be shadows and mirrors of each other too. (Did Liandrin let her part of the shield drop to try to manufacture an excuse, once she realized that his army was attacking or was it just her genuinely taking advantage of an unexpected opportunity once she's able? If Liandrin is being sincere then that lends weight to the speculation that she isn't Black Ajah yet and we'll see her wooed into it over the early parts of S2)
21. I do think it was, again, very smart of the show to actually show us the effects of an Aes Sedai and Warder's bond being severed before it happens to any main characters. And we actually get to see Greens being the Battle Ajah here too.
22. Nynaeve's power burst here really creates another point of uncertainty for Moiraine about the identity of the Dragon Reborn. If Nynaeve is stronger than Egwene, then Egwene cannot be the Dragon. But Nynaeve is too old to fit the prophecy. So now Moiraine has some thinking to do.

The Breaking of the World: Lews Therin going mad, the Taint, the Breaking, and the Aes Sedai gentling men to end the breaking.
The Fall of Manetherin: Basically the story from Moiraine, except the narration is mediocre. They could have just used Rosamund Pike's speech.
The Greatest Warder: A super vague and unclear version of the warder Jerome, but without any sort of context about what he did. Mentioned he got his ass kicked by a farmer with a stick. It is sort of the story we get when Mat kicks Galad and Gawyn's ass, except without the entertainment value of Mat, Galad, or Gawyn. It is also almost impossible to see because it's too dark.
Saidin, Saidar, Stone. Actually explains the two halves of the power and differences in how the power feels, plus how the taint works and a meditation exercise. No idea what "stone" means in this context, though.
The White Tower: Explains novice, accepted, Aes Sedai, the different Ajahs, Sitters.
An Ogier's Longing: about Ogier groves, the steddings (and no One Power), etc.
All of these are lore-accurate! In a way generally contradicted by the show, or totally left out of the show. Each of these shows in 3 minutes a really important lore detail that would explain a lot of the story, which means they could pretty easily have been incorporated into an episode in the first two seasons. Instead, we get almost none of this information in the show.
The animations are pretty, except they are a bit too dark, and there is this inexplicable heavy film grain over everything.* Film grain only occurs when it's really dark in normal camera, and even really old films don't have it. There are a ton of things to show that this is "old", such as, say, animating it.
Ultimately, that this had to be included as an animated set is a dramatic failure of the TV show. Doubly so as they don't bother to stick to these details.
