Okay so, dead end is a great show but you know what we haven't had yet? My favorite episode trope of all time, the memory episode. And I have a really freaky idea for it. (This got super long so full thing under cut.)
So, picture season 3, Norma has been tearing through the lower level angels along with Zagan, (and likely Temeluchus and Paimon too) and they've been making good progress. I picture this as a later episode, maybe like episode 7, and Norma and Zagan finally make it to Pael. He toys with them a bit, picture Luz and Belos's first fight in toh except there's no breaking of any mask. Norma and Zagan are at their top form, but Pael is simply far more skilled than they anticipated.
After some time, he chuckles, and traps Norma in the same chair that held Pugsley, with that calm smile plastered on his face. Zagan of course bolts towards her, but is restrained by several angels who file in on command.
Norma is in shock from the sudden action, but she isn't scared, she balls her fists as she glares at Pael, a determined look on her face.
Pael eyes this with great interest, chuckling again to himself.
"My my, what an interesting little one you are, I see you have returned to me with a friend." He marvels, with that soft voice of his.
"Hope you appreciated the warm welcome, we got very acquainted with your subjects." Norma replies, a devilish smirk on her face.
Pael's smile then deepens into a frown, a rare sight for the archangel.
"Yes, those foul demons have certainly trained you well, a shame really." He expresses, grimacing at the word "demon."
"And they've trained me to bring you down." She responds, her determination never faltering.
Pael shakes his head, a look of disappointment clearly expressed in the action.
"You poor girl, to think they've corrupted you like this, it is simply unforgivable." Pael utters, pity dripping from his words.
"Corrupted?"
"Why yes, they've tainted you so much, you do not even resemble yourself anymore." Pael answers.
Norma finally began to look unsettled, her hands sweating as her eyebrows knitted together.
"What do you mean by that?" She dares to ask, cursing the slight shake of her voice when she uttered her question.
Pael's smile returned and haunting laughter followed. Norma's nails dig into her hand unconsciously at the sound, and Pael's smile widens unnaturally so, the corners of his mouth rising past his cheeks.
He waves a hand and a bright golden glyph appears before her face. It was so close she could clearly see the intricate patterns and words in a ancient language spelling out around the circle. It was almost hypnotic, as if the very sight of it made her forget the horrible situation she found herself in.
"Here, dear girl, let me jog your memory." He mutters, before the glyph begins rotating rapidly, the gold growing brighter and brighter and brighter.
Norma thinks she hears a voice calling out for her, perhaps Zagan's, before the light fills the entire room, a blinding white that reverberates in her mind.
She shuts her eyes at the sight, expecting a burning pain or something worse.
She gets neither, and when she finally decides to hesitantly open her eyes, she's back in her bedroom.
The episode would follow showing several events throughout Norma's life. Perhaps even in her younger years, we'd see her Dad too, when he was still around. The memories would then become increasingly familiar, eventually replaying old scenes from the prior seasons as Norma relives them all over again.
Except, she isn't alone, Pael is with her the whole time, and he's highlighting specific moments and narrating over them. In this way, he's also changing the narrative of her own memories with his own interpretations.
Like when we cut to her watching Pauline through the years, and Pael notes:
"You've been following the wrong people your whole life, haven't you dear? Ah, but who could blame you, the most vile creatures of the planes are always the most tempting."
Right after the shots of Pauline, we'd then get shots of the demons, of Zagan, Temeluchus, and perhaps even the party itself from season 2 episode 6.
"You place your trust in those that hurt you, those that have betrayed you; you must know it is only due time before they hurt you once again, right, little one? You are a smart girl, and you have a kind heart, but these demons, these phantoms, will only use that to their advantage."
We then flash to shots of Norma and Zagan training, and Pael shakes his head.
"Your swordsmanship is impressive, young one, that friend of yours has done a wonderful job honing her personal tool." Pael notes, the word tool spoken with particular venom.
Norma has been mostly silent throughout these interactions, perhaps because she's taking it all in, or perhaps because a part of her agrees with what Pael is saying. But after that statement she turns towards him in anger.
"I am not a tool, I chose to do this!" She fires back.
Pael's expression never changes.
"It was your choice, was it, little one? But what other choice did you have? That wonderful little dog was taken from you, and you wished to inflict that pain upon us, that is why you decided to engage in this conflict, is it not?" He left no time for Norma to answer the question, the answer already being obvious.
"I am afraid the demons do not see it in that way. They, and especially that friend of yours, could not care less about the dog's death. No, it would not have mattered what reason you gave, anything would have satisfied the bloodlust they hold for us. And what a great opportunity, to have a scapegoat primed and prepared for when they at last realize they are in over their heads with this foolish war. You are a human, dear, you are expendable, and yet, remarkably flexible. Those demons could shape you into whatever they desired, and if you perished, well, there's plenty more of your kind on the Neutral Plane to gather. Your existence is inconsequential to them, my poor girl, your life is ultimately meaningless in the grand scale of their war." Pael explained, his voice wracked with pity and sympathy.
As he goes on, Norma starts to break, she shakes her head, clutches at her sleeves, pupils dilating to half their size.
"No, no that's not true, they do care, they-" Her desperate words were hardly convincing, and she was unable to continue as she felt her breath hitch in her throat, her heart pounding in her ears. She couldn't focus, and yet, Pael continued.
"They do not, dear. Those demons do not care for anyone but themselves. They are vile and selfish creatures, and I am terribly sorry that they deceived you in such a way." Pael replies with absolute finality.
His voice, it was too loud. The memories that played before Norma were too loud. Everything was too loud and too much all at once and Norma couldn't even respond to Pael anymore, the only sound emitting from her being her gasps for breath. She fell to the ground, clasping her hands over her ears and shutting her eyes.
Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop!
It was then, that Norma felt a hand on her shoulder. Instinctually she flinched at the touch, but before she could bat the hand away, she felt warmth resonate from it. It was a calming warmth, the kind of warmth you felt right before you fell alseep. But instead of drifting to a slumber, she opened her eyes, and saw she was back within Pael's chamber. She gasped for air and found she could breathe again and as she took in her surroundings, Pael stood before her once more.
"These demons have hurt you, have blinded you, have shaped you into their personal weapon. They have tainted your heart with sin, and they made you forget who you are. But, be not afraid, Norma, I can heal you, I can wash away this darkness that has consumed your heart. I can show you the light. So please, dear, make the right choice." He says, before extending a hand forward...
Unbeknownst to Norma, Zagan has finally gotten the upper hand on those tricky little angels. That's fine though, she isn't called the Chieftain of Patience for nothing. She's been so focused on getting out of those slimy things' grip, that she let her focus drift away from Norma. As she breaks free from the angels' grips, and makes sure they remember to never do that again, her eyes widen in horror at the sight before her. Pael is standing before Norma, and she looks to be in some kind of trance, her gaze completely focused on him. He's extended a hand towards her, a hand that has only the faintest hint of a glyph circling around it.
Only one deeply aware of the angels and their magic would be able to see it. The Angel's Pact. They say to never make a deal with the devil, but really, that's mostly just angel propaganda. Demons aren't hard to figure out once you know them, and their language isn't hard to decipher once you know the terminology. And besides, any demon that doesn't uphold their end of the bargain is scum to Zagan either way.
But a deal with an angel? That's something you really gotta worry about. For starters, a pact with an angel is unbreakable, there's no going back when you've made a deal with one of them. Secondly, they never mean what they say, there's always a double-edged blade to their words and angels always see things through their own perspective, they're real convincing that way. The good image they've been able to preserve for eons certainly only aids in that too, everyone always just believes angels at face value. But deep down, they're just as ugly as the demons, they always have been.
And this Angel's Pact, that is what is being presented before Norma now. But why? What had he said to her? Surely, after everything, Norma wasn't seriously considering this, right?
"Norma! Norma snap out of it!" Zagan yells out, a desperation she would never admit hiding in those words.
Pael hears this, and with a single flap of his wings, sends Zagan rocketing into the wall behind him. The impact is enough to have her torso shoot forward, and a trickle of blood runs down her mouth as she cries out in pain.
"Even now they would ask you to fight, how bitterly cruel." Pael notes, before turning back to Norma once more.
"Come, my sweet child, let us make this right again."
To be continued...
(Thinking of making this into an actual fic, would yall be interested in that? With that I'd be going into way more detail, and of course you'd also get the conclusion so let me know if that's something yall would be interested in.)

Silas and Philip Questions and Responses Part 2
has Silas gone to the boiling isles?
Answer: He has not : o
2. If Philas did happened in the Owl house lore would it be more popular than Lumity due to the fact it 2 guys instead of girls?
More questions and responses:
Answer: I am not sure, to be honest o.o. I for sure would have loved them for different reasons cause both would be unique and interesting.
3. What would Philip think about people eating horses in certain countries?
Answer: Philip would be horrified, hahaha
4. Do you think Mr. Loverman by Rick Montgomery would fit Philas?
Answer: It would totally fit more for Silas : )
5. What would be Philip and Silas' least favorite food?
Answer: For Philip, he would hate wet bread. Silas would be chicken cause he loved a chicken growing up so much but his dad killed it and without telling Silas, he ate it :'c. And when Silas found out he was eating his pet chicken, well, he got traumatized
6. If Philas was did happened in the original Owl House what things they have to change to keep it somewhat kid-friendly?
Answer: They probably would have, which honestly they shouldn't have since it seems like majority of the peeps who loved owl house were more in the older teenage range and such viewers would benefit to see such complexity and tragic relationship issues
7. what do you think Caleb and Philip where like?
Answer: I think Caleb was a dreamer, hard working, and kind but at the same time kind of naive. Philip was also a dreamer, curious, thirsty for knowlege, but also very scared and stubborn
8. I get the feeling if Philip x Silas would happened in the series conservatives will get more angry at the series because it will kinda paints religion in a bad light weather or not it implied or stated. I can see articles calling owl house anti religious.
Answer: Yeah, you probably right, but at the same time if the show did go with Philip x Silas, then the show should definitely do its best not to paint religion as all bad. Cause not everything relating to religion is terrible. Like, I try to keep a balance in my story, by someone like Father Francis and Sister Margaret be strong believers of their religion and are doing their best to help those in need : )
9. How muscular is Silas compared to Philip?
Answer: Silas is a bit slightly muscular than Philip, but Philip does have lean muscle
10. Is Philip a twink?
Answer: In my story, he isn't a twink : o
11. GRR PHILAS BRAINROT. i just wanted to express that these little creatures won’t get out of my brain and they’re eating away, i need to know more about the silly little otherwise i’ll EXPLODE. they genuinely make me so happy i cannot stress it enough.
Answer: Awww :' ), i am sooo glad you like them, like for reals. I love them too v.v. If i could draw well, i would draw them so much, especially in additional scenes that i didn't end up writing up with them :' c
12. How do you think Silas can be incorporated in the Owl house lore like being foreshadowed in a painting or something else?
Answer: I think a good painting would be Silas trowing Philip into the river, hahaha. another would be how Philip is on sitting between Silas's legs, and another would be the way Silas is looking way from Philip while at the same time forcing Philip's hand off of him. Honestly, silas's flashbacks with philip on them would be a good series of paintings in Philip's mind
13. What would Caleb think of Silas?
If it was Caleb before the boiling isles, he would think Silas is just good friends with Philip and would be so happy Philip has a friend finally.
14. Silas will have to earn forgiveness. If he hadn't taken The Titan's Blood, Phillip would have been able to get the kids back to the Boiling Isles long ago.
It looks like the appearance of Silas will rally the children and Belos against him.
Answer: I mean, if Silas wasn't the one to take the Titan's blood, someone would have grabbed it afterwards : o. Wooden floors need to be replaced and someone else would have found Philip's box. Philip didn't really think about that when he went looking for the box in that one scene.
15. Did Pastor Jonathan knew about the relationship between Philip and Silas?
Answer: Oh, you will see in a Philip flashback : )
16. I think Philip needs to learn this: https://www.tumblr.com/positivelypositive/723839295747719168?source=share
Though, if he did, I guess the story would be over.
Answer: Well, Philip definitely has to make tons of amends before he can just move on and forgive himself : o
17 what’s Philip and Silas’s love language?
Answer: Silas' love language would be, to give and receive: physical touch, and quality time. For Philip, it would be him doing acts of service for the person he loves, and loves receiving physical touch and quality time.
18. I feel like religious group would hate the show even more of Philip X Silas were canon since it kinda portrays it in a bad light,
Answer: Maybe, but it would have been still good to show since many people have gone through such similar scenarios and still do :'c...
19. One song that I think it would fit Philas, mostly Silas' point of view after he stopped hanging out w Philip, is "Ainda gosto dela" (Still like her) (I'd suggest you to look for the lyrics translated if u wanna know abt the music, as it's in brazilian portuguese :3
Answer: this is a sad song :' c, even though it was Silas who for sure pushed Philip away, cries

(Questions incoming also sorry I haven't been sending asks much lately)
(General questions)
Of all your aus, which one is your favourite to talk or think about?
Who is your favourite character out of that au, either by design, story or just general character?
(Monster au specific questions)
Do any of the engines gain hoarding instincts? (I think that's what it's called anyways)
Does Gator show up in your au, and if so is he a monster too?
Out of all the monster engines, who would be the most likely to go sit in the middle of a lake for fun (or to get away from people bothering them) (I know the above was a random question but now I really want to know lol)
(Children of Sodor au specific questions)
Do the kid engines (Thomas, Percy, Carly, Sandy, etc.) ever try to follow the big engines on their jobs? (Like, imagine the episode where Gordon drags Thomas behind the express, but instead Thomas isn't coupled up and Gordon isn't trying to teach him a lesson, Thomas is just running behind the express as fast as he can because he wants to be like Gordon, and Gordon doesn't realise until Thomas catches up at a station)
Not a question but I have a feeling that during the time before Sandy got to big to be picked up, if someone picked her up and she wasn't expecting it she would probably squeak (based off my cat sounding like a little squeaky toy if I pick her up and she wasn't expecting it)
How does Toad get along with Bruno? (If they've met)
And how does Duck view the kids? Does he stay away from them or does he chat/interact with them?
And now that I'm thinking about the Little Western branchline engines, does Oliver get along with the kids? Or Donald and Douglas?
(ToH au questions)
Does Willow discover she has magic, or does magic only work on the Boiling Isles? (sorry, I'm a bit rusty on ToH lore I cannot remember if magic works in the human realm) If she does discover she has magic, how does she and/or the people around her react?
How do people react to King? He's clearly not a very normal creature even if he is adorable.
Does Hunter ever meet Lady?
Is Belos looking for a way to get to Sodor/Shining time, to get his Golden Guard back, or did he just get a new one and forget about Hunter?
Sorry there's so many questions here lol you don't have to answer them all if you don't want to.
(Anon Orange)
EXCITED STIMMMING YESSSSSSS I LOVE TALKING THIS IS SO GOOD!!!!! Gonna take em' out section by section.
General questions: 1.) Mmmm that's rlly hard to decide on. I love a lot of them equally. I miiight say Children of Sodor? Purely bc AEG is a very big comfort show for me, I love the kiddos a lot, and I love my versions even more. 2.) Out of the group...either Gordon or Kana. COS!Gordon is beloved to me as the gentle old father he is, and Kana is just my favorite AEG in general, so I think about her a lot in my au content.
Monster AU questions: 1.) I'd say none of them are particularly hoarders. Mainly because they don't have anything they'd really want. They are enamored by shiny objects but once they're snapped out of it they don't really care too much. They've got plenty of water, coal, diesel fuel and such, so they're not hoarders of fuel either. The closest you could get would be yard leaders like Gordon, who sometimes would push their "packs" together and try to keep them in one spot because they were worried about losing any of them. They just didn't want any harm to come to their fellow engines and the leaders have particularly strong urges to guard everyone, Gordon was especially bad for it. 2.) I try to include everyone, so yes, Gator would be here too :) Seeing as I'm doing this to pretty much EVERY engine, I think it'd be unfair to leave Gator out of the fun. Adding onto that, despite being a steam engine, I think it'd be fun if he actually resembled an alligator instead of being a fluffy beast. Mainly because hey why not, and also c'mon, his nickname is Gator!! 3.) I think a lot of the engines would take advantage of the ability of getting to chill in water. As long as it's not super deep and they aren't doing it for too long, they can actually swim a bit. And in shallow waters they can just relax and cool off in warmer weather, they all enjoy it quite a bit.
Children of Sodor questions: 1.) The kids absolutely have always been trying to copy the adults. They have basic "instinct" to do jobs, but they don't know how to do things exactly, so they were looking to the older machines to learn how to do what they wanted to so badly. Carly was swinging her hook when Cranky would in an attempt to load cars the way he did, Thomas would beg Annie and Clarabelle to let him pull them so that he could pull a passenger train like Gordon (which he eventually started doing for real!), so on and so forth. 2.) Sandy did get very surprised the first little while, but eventually she got fully unbothered, mainly because Carly was far faster so she would lift Sandy and just carry her along all the time. 3.) Bruno likes to stick to routine and schedule, and he's usually with Diesel or Thomas if he's working, so he's not on the same branch line as Oliver and Toad all that often. He's met Toad before, and he likes him a lot, he's a very polite brake van and they have that same natural solidarity that all rolling stock of the same type feel. 4.) Duck thinks the kids are all very lovely! He'd heard about them when they first arrived, but didn't actually meet them until a few months later. He's not as intensely involved with their lives as some others are but he doesn't mind them at all, he's friendly towards them and will chat with them if they cross paths. Sort of similar to how Edward is with them, but Duck isn't as involved as Edward. 5.) Oliver is actually also a kid! Duck considers him his little brother, and Oliver is the only kid that Duck is almost constantly around. He likes hanging out with the other kids, Percy most of all, but finds himself more comfortable with the older engines. Namely Duck, Douglas, and Edward. 6.) Based off of my headcanon that Donald and Douglas are both really great with human kids, they're FANASTIC with machine kids. They're like the really fun uncles to the Tidmouth kids, if they get the chance to they're going to be spending every second they can with the kids, especially during the wintertime! They wanted to be as involved with the kids' lives as they could and were very present at the sheds when Kana and Nia had each first arrived so that they could make sure the overseas additions were settling in okay. The twins actually taught the young engines to clear snow!
On The Horizon questions: 1.) Magic from a natural born witch works pretty much anywhere, and in canon it does work in the human realm, though I feel I should point out that Sodor and Shining Time both are completely different from the "human realm" that Luna (aka Luz, I finally decided on the new names) came from. But yes, Wendy (aka Willow!) does indeed have magic! She didn't figure it out for a long while as there wasn't anything that really prompted her to do so and for many years of her life she fully believed she was human. The first time it happened was when she was 12 and it was a complete accident, one of her machine siblings had startled her and she just swung her arm around, managing to somehow summon a pretty large thorny vine from the ground. Wendy panicked and they ended up calling Hunter and MC over to investigate, and during that investigation Hunter finally confessed that he'd thought Wendy was a witch from the day he'd first seen her. He then sat down with Wendy and explained to her the very few things he did remember about wild magic, coaching her with his limited knowledge so that she could start training her powers. Her mother and all of her other loved ones were all quite shocked by this fact, but they didn't force Wendy to hide her magic just like the Hatt family didn't hide Oscar (Aka King) from the world. 2.) Speaking of the little guy! The rest of the island was pretty surprised by Oscar's existence. Topham had kept him hidden for the first few months, but he didn't want to keep the little guy cooped up forever, seeing as Oscar's clearly just as intelligent as any other kid and forcing him to hide for his whole life would be cruel and impossible. He did indeed startle many upon first meetings, but everyone adjusted and pretty soon Oscar was out among other kids his age with barely any issue. He did face a bit of bullying due to his strange appearance and clearly being nonhuman, but he has family and some friends who'd stand up for him and fix those problems. 3.) Hunter met Lady about 2 months after he'd been properly adopted by Mr. Conductor, actually! Seeing as the kid was already from a different magical world and he was healing from some rough times, MC thought it'd be a good idea to introduce the kid to Lady. Lady was a very welcome change of pace, she was calm and easy going and being an engine meant she didn't move that much and her facial expressions were far easier for him to read. Her kind voice and demeanor were really soothing to Hunter and him meeting her proved to benefit him greatly. 4.) Originally, I'd had the idea for Belos to go after Hunter. But then I thought about it. Belos, in the past, would kill the grimwalkers for the tiniest betrayals and then just start over with a new one like nothing happened...so I came up with a different plan. At first when Hunter was reported missing, Belos asked the coven to keep an eye out and listen to gossip. Interview residents of the isles. After a week of that, with no sign, he sent scouts to actively search for him. After a week of that? Belos sighed, shrugged, cut his losses, and cooked up a new grimwalker. This one's hair is a bit long and messy, but he looks enough like Caleb that he'll do. And this time, Belos is going to ensure this golden guard won't be going anywhere.

not sure if you are still wanting headcanons, but if you are then one of my favorites is that a lot of the palismen look like earth creatures bc caleb was rly into carving them and his designs have been passed on for generations :') not sure how well it works with actual canon but the idea makes me smile
AHH I MISSED THIS ONE!!! but i feel like garbage rn so answering sweet hcs helps <3
anyway absolutely this is an idea I've loved since hollow mind came out and revealed that Caleb was a clawthorne and a carpenter and we put two and two together. Especially with how the clawthorne's have the most earthly palismen of all, compared to, say, the hexsquads own palismen (which are like earth animals but slightly Different. Bee but big. White cat but it has purple eyes. Whatever Emmeline's deal is /j) and the idea that this one couples love of boring Connecticut birds has become a loving tradition of their family for generations.
I just. I'm thinking about the profound impact Caleb and Evelyn have had on the boiling isles, from the roles their descendants have played in shaping the boiling isles and fighting Belos (who exists partly bc of Caleb and Evelyn) and yet how no one in the modern day even knows their names (minus the hexsquad who weren't even really trying to learn about them, just beat Belos and get back home).
I'm also thinking about how Evelyn seemingly told a white lie to spare Gwen the pain of knowing that there were two humans in Bonesborough, that they were brothers, that one was her HUSBAND, that the brothers fought and that one clawthorne died that day while the other had to watch. Actually if I were to be crazy for a second low-key an Evelyn Philip parallel. Constantly writing Caleb out of the narrative bc it hurts them too much to acknowledge his passing and their part in it, whether it be witness or instigator.
But at the same time, I like to headcanon Caleb as someone who'd honestly be content with this fate? Maybe not the gruesome circumstances from which it unfolded, but the general impact he's had and the lack of hero worship or veneration that's come with it. Caleb being someone who perhaps once sought the acclaim and means that being a witch hunter afforded, but eventually abandoned it for the sake of doing the right thing and being himself...idk!! I get emotional. He could parallel so many characters in the story and Dana won't tell me which ones so >:] my city now
Anyway, I honestly 100% believe this is intentional anon and I'm emo thinking about it. Caleb Wittebane I love you so much even though you've had 5 seconds of screen time and spoken during none of it

O, P, T, U for the ask!
O - Choose a song at random. Which ship or character does it remind you of? Ultralife by Oh Wonder is Renathal and Molly. Heck, I see quite a few songs from Oh Wonder with those two. P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa fuckin' aaa...fuck it road trip au for bugsnax where everyone meets up post-game to go on a fun roadtrip to Somewhere TM, just to catch up and make fond memories. Within the first few miles it is already chaos. T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?
Venthyr purr and can make big cat noises, and are (usually) very highly social creatures. Being left alone long term is emotionally and mentally damaging.
Spending prolonged periods of time in a specific afterlife realm as a mortal can physically alter their appearance, especially for magic users. Has never been observed before since the link between the living and death worlds was closed...until recently of course.
Grumps purr as well among making other noises, and also partake in more primal behaviors like social cleaning and grooming, huddling in sleep piles and even courtship displays. Levels of these behaviors depend on the individual though.
Renathal, Theotar and Snorpy are autistic. They are my comfort character and as an autistic person I am claiming them for the autistic community. U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.
World of Warcraft- 1. Renathal, himbo vampire prince who is trying his best with his empty head, he is so scrunkly my favourite blorbo. A comfort character. 2. Theotar, another comfort character and I see myself in him quite a bit. Chaotic vampire crechur I found him drinking water out of a muddy puddle in a parking lot. 3. Vol'jin, that's my troll dad Bugsnax- 1. Snorpy, holy fuck I see myself in him too much this is wild. I am just staring into a mirror and staring back at me is just a tall yellow trash can mouth muppet. Okay but in all seriousness, Snorpy is an amazing character and I really vibe with him. 2. Beffica, I am fu c k ing gay and I love her bitchy attitude I love snarky and sassy characters with a softer side they try to hide to not be vulnerable. 3. Filbo, how can you not love Filbo?? he is a dumbass but he is my dumbass baby boi
Owl House- 1. Eda, please fucking just fucking step on me my queen holy shit I love you. Harpy Eda got me acting up, she is just too gorgeous and sassy and powerful, so powerful. 2. Darius, dadrius dadrius dadrius. Sassy, bitchy man who has such good vibes and style, absolute fucking king I wish/hope to see him punch Belos in the face 3. Raine, an absolute dork and a sweetheart and can also kick ass and take names, they are too powerful and they have every right to be.

Another Saturday, another episode! Let's take a look at Keeping Up A-fear-ances!
(Good lord I'm starting to make myself sound like some sort of content creator)
Oh, okay, we're just starting at that level of intensity, huh?
Chest gem origins
Gwendolyn not being satisfied with managing the curse and determined to cure it? I'm sure this won't be a real world allegory in the slightest.
Oh, so Eda literally just stumbles upon the portal? I could call that contrived, but honestly it's not dissimilar to how Dipper found Journal 3. For that matter, the entirety of Lord of the Rings is predicated on an accidental discovery like this and nobody gave Tolkien shit about it.
Was the eye on the portal cracked in previous episodes? I don't remember.
Seems like Gwen is the "well-meaning but ultimately misguided" flavor of mom.
As an aside, I am now quite curious about how Eda's first trip to the human realm went. Maybe a future episode will cover it? At any rate, I smell a new favorite fic prompt.
The screaming alarms in the Demon Realm will never not be funny to me.
Also, that is a worrying number of hearts. Eda is straight up murdering these poor creatures.
For some reason the gold fang being removable never occurred to me as a possibility, and now I feel like a kid who's discovered that Santa isn't real.
Oh hey, the new outfit! I'm also impressed how close to symmetrical that tearing was.
I need to get a screencap of Luz sleeping on that stack of books because she is adorable.
Also, staying up all night researching? This season seems determined to completely eradicate the notion of Luz being dumb, and I am here for it.
I have a feeling the Hexside mug will be making its way to The Mystery Shack in the near future.
Lilith's first experience with transformation and she seems understandably horrified.
The curse acting stronger when stressed? That seems...important.
Ah, so the dismemberment is from the curse! A surprisingly useful side effect from what we've seen so far.
Can I just say that I appreciate how Eda's reaction to Lilith's first taste of transformation is immediate remedy, explanation, and reassurance? And doesn't make any snarky comments along the lines of "now you know what it's like?" Whatever happened in that week and a half must have been cathartic as hell.
"Always. Always curious." Luz is the TOH fandom.
(Also, Eda, you know she is, considering how much she went on about your "mysterious past" at the Covention)
"Magic bird tornado?!" Luz has a way with words that's just *chef's kiss*.
"Gwendolyn." Eda is already just fucking done.
"MOM?!?!" Jeez, Lilith, you're just now hearing all this?
I was charmed by how motherly Gwen was acting toward Eda, but then she kinda just...dismissed Lilith, and now I'm somehwat less charmed.
(Sweet flea as a term of endearment is kinda cute, though might have some unfortunate implications depending on how you want to interpret it)
"Who knows what they put in those nasty concoctions?" OH WE GOING FOR THE ANTI-VAXXERS NOW YESSSS
Luz and Lilith's reaction to that whole exchange is priceless.
Everyone's perspective here makes perfect sense for who they are and what they've been through.
Poor Lilith. Her cursing Eda is beginning to make more sense.
Ah, thus begins the collaboration.
"We'll be consulting someone very special." Why does that seem so...ominous?
Is there anyone who watched this episode for the first time whose bullshit detector didn't go off immediately when Gwen mentioned finding someone who promised a cure?
Heh, Palm Stings.
Nonbelievers will be blinded by the power of the tome? I'm sure they will be, Wartlop.
I must say, as something of a scientist myself (okay that's not true, I'm a QA tech for a food manufacturer, but I do have a chemistry degree), I am 100% here for the swings being taken at faith healing/"miracle" cures/anti-vaxxers in this episode
Oh, we Wile E. Coyote now, huh?
Also, interesting how much apple blood is being played up in this episode.
Lilith please you're projecting your mommy issues on a literal child
OH WE REALLY JUST WILE E. COYOTE HUH?
You're right, Luz, Gwen's bicep game is goals.
(Somewhat disappointed the scars are from questing and not beastkeeping, but eh)
Why do I get the feeling there's gonna be a future episode where everybody stages an intervention for Eda's apple blood problem?
"Those feathers mean we're driving the beast out" Gwen no
Hooty is holding the brain cell? Oh no...
If that ice cream came from the Night Market it would explain why Lilith sounds drunk.
(Side note: I can't be the only one getting flashbacks to Mermista's ice cream binge, right? Different context, but still)
"Abomi-berry" "Franken fruit" "Key slime pie" These are A+ flavor names.
Oh, there's the transformation...
I must say that whole segment kinda rubbed me the wrong way. The way King's opinion on his dad was changed seemed...I don't know how to describe it. I get that they needed a trigger for Lilith's transformation, but honestly if any part of the episode is contrived it's this.
"¡It really is that good!" So that's what an accent slip in written form looks like. (The upside down exclamation point is used in Spanish, in case anyone didn't know)
I keep half expecting Eda to say "Beep! Beep!" at this point.
Luz is finally asking questions. Took long enough.
Ah, the classic "moving the goal posts to extract more money from a desparate family member" technique.
Luz channeling Scorpion, we love to see it.
There is an exquisite irony in Eda's mom being scammed, I must say.
Ah, so that's where the elixirs went. Dammit, Gwen.
Luz is definitely thinking "Are you fucking kidding me right now?!"
Beast!Lilith is massive.
"Sweet flea?" Gwen just realized she done goofed.
"I can see you still need a little time." God Luz is so fucking smart.
The con revealed.
OH DAMN SCARY MAMA
(Also I am terrified of bees/wasps, so extra scary mama in my book)
The scam is revealed, goblins, getting back into the Wartlop disguise is kinda pointless.
She joined the Beast Keeping coven entirely to cure the curse? That's dedication. A shame you couldn't have spared some of that for Lilith.
Still, I do like badass scary mama Gwen. I'd be down to see more of that.
Owl Beast fight!
I am slayed by the fact that the portraits are now officially a recurring gag 😂
Aw, here's The Moment™️
"My turn to drive" Does this imply cars are a thing on the Boiling Isles after all?
Lilith crying almost immediately💔 She was holding onto a lot of pain.
Yes, King, she was trying to do her best. I mean, road to hell or whatever, but at least Gwen got there in the end.
WHAT?! YOU'RE BREAKING UP LULU AND HOOTCIFER?!?!?!?
Terrace, that's just cruel. (Worthless brownie points for whoever understands that reference)
No, seriously, you can't just give me my favorite inter-character relationship in the series after Lumity and just...take it away like that, come on! 😭😭😭😭😭😭
I know I should remark on how Lilith told Gwen about the circumstances of the curse, how Gwen rightfully accepted responsibility for the whole situation, and how Luz finds the big hair aspirational, but...NOOOO DON'T END THE ADVENTURES OF LULU AND HOOTCIFER WHYYYYYYYYY💔😭💔😭💔😭
"BUT I CAN'T HOLD A PEN!"
I will never emotionally recover from this.
Okay, I think I got that out of my system. Anyway...
Not the only human, huh? Cue the "Belos is a human" theorists going into maximum overdrive.
That said, a tantalizing lore dump.
We certainly do have a lot of garbage. Some of it even holds office. HEY-O!
Setting up the next episode, too. Continuity!
Camp's over, huh? That means it's been three months.
Way to misdirect with Camila, guys. That said, we have now seen Camila cry and I HATE it. (In the right way, I think)
WHAT THE FUCK
HOLY SHIT
CREEPY LUZ IS REAL WHAT
OWJEIWHQGIWWOPQ
(It's hard to keysmash on a phone, even with autocorrect off)
That wraps it up! The flaws in this episode seem more pronounced than any others in the season so far, but the good stuff was really good! Overall a solid episode! I know everybody's looking forward to library Lumity in the next one (so am I), but I'm personally eager to see what they do with Gus. His part is the A plot, after all.
Anyway, I'll be back at this next week! Still hard to believe this is a thing, but that's life, I guess.

What’s up nerds, guess who was out cold when TOH S2 was announced???? Anyways,
We’ve got a brief analysis/reaction of this new intro which is excellent
Okay SO
Tumblr media
We’ve got The Eye. Clearly an indication of the eye on the portal door. Who is this creature? What magic do they posses to allow this to happen?
Tumblr media
My Brilliant Baby Luz Noceda - still wearing the cape Eda made for her and looking to be more confident than ever with her magic!!! I’m so proud of her <333
Tumblr media
My WIFE HAS RETURNED!!!!!! And she’s stepping through a portal of some sort???? Has she discovered a way to use Owlbert’s magic to create a new portal back to the human realm? Or just teleportation within the demon realm? :0c
Tumblr media
MY DAUGHTER WILLOW IS BACK AND AS POWERFUL AND ADORABLE AS EVER!! I love her so much yall
Tumblr media
My Son Boy Gus is also back and as powerful and adorable as ever, possibly even more so with this book in hand? What’s this book? He’s never needed that before 🤔🤔🤔
Tumblr media
Ah yes, the fandom favorite and my adopted daughter (she doesn’t belong to the fandom anymore, she’s mine to just be a normal character and not the blank canvas everyone projects on to). She’s back and looking as Badass as ever; I VERY much appreciated her sort of ballet twirl entrance in this intro scene, very lovely and exudes a certain type of refinement and poise before dropping her hands with magic and this FIERCE look that I love.
And FINALLY the plot-heavy stuff, oh man there’s so much to pick apart here:
Tumblr media
So we have the Heads of the Covens along the top border which means after a whole season of being hinted at, we’re finally going to learn more about them. Hopefully Lilith’s role as Ex-Head of the Emperor’s Coven will play a part in that?
And speaking of Lilith - what the fuck is she doing acting like a fucking antagonist???? Hasn’t she done enough???? Can she not just be remorseful of her actions and try to make up a lifetime of bullshit mistakes to her dying sister?
We’ve also got our spy with a staff that looks very similar to Belos’ staff? That is to say, no palisman and a wing coming off of the top. And also Kikimora looking??? Oddly adorable????
And then of course the Owl House in the left corner and the Emperor’s Castle in the right corner, obviously two main points of interest for this season - hopefully we’ll be learning more about the Day of Unity and why it’s so important.
Tumblr media
Ahhh yes, this is the Lilith I wanted to see. Fucking homeless and ashamed, disgraced, possibly listening to My Chemical Romance just based on her hand gestures lmao.
We’ve got one of Dana’s supposed favorite characters as the new Spy removing their mask which is interesting! 🤔 I wonder what role they’ll end up playing in regards to the Owl House.
And then Kikimora looking fucking terrifying!! Which is always a great twist on cute characters. I mean her design was pretty terrifying to begin with but now we get to see it in action which is going to be cool as hell.
I’m so excited for season 2 and I’m SO HYPE FOR SEASON 3!!!!!!! The story this show has started crafting I know couldn’t be wrapped up in just one more season, but it’s such a relief to know that they’ve been greenlit for a 3rd to really make sure they get all the loose ends tied up as neatly as possible. I’ll probably go over the revealed episode titles and descriptions in another post, but hot damn yall!!! We in it!!!!!

So I heard that The Owl House's 2nd year anniversary was celebrated recently, so to join in, I'll be answering questions posted by /sunsapphic from Twitter. Original post can be found here.
And now, the questions:
When did you start watching the show?
I was watching some videos where they list shows that have LGBT stuff (something that I was suddenly into after watching She-Ra) and The Owl House was one of them. I remember knowing that it exists way before watching those compilation videos, but I thought to myself that I didn't want to watch a cartoon anymore (because it's most probably gonna be disappointing and cringy, since it's a Disney show). But then... I saw clips of ‘Enchanted Grom Fright’. I was curious at first, but it took a few more times for the same video to appear on my Youtube algorithm before I got the mood to actually try out the show. And the rest is history. I tuned in because of Lumity, but I stayed because Luz is such a very unique character. And Eda too. Their personalities are things I've never really seen in a CARTOON. Anime, sure. But not a western cartoon.
Favorite Season 1 and 2A episode(s)?
I legit love all of the episodes, actually. But if I were to really pick my absolute favorite, I'd say 'Agony of a Witch' for Season 1 and 'Eclipse Lake' for Season 2A. Both had the coolest fighting sequence I've ever seen in a cartoon show and I remember feeling damn awestruck the first time I saw them.
Favorite Lumity episode?
I guess it's a blasphemy if I say that it isn't 'Knock Knock Knockin' on Hooty's Door', but I actually like 'Escaping Expulsion' more because it focuses a little tiny bit more on Amity and her relationship with her family (and her budding feelings towards Luz, of course). And also "Stay away from my Luz!" is such a quote. 10/10 best quote, actually.
Favorite character(s)?
I like Hunter. He's such a mischievous, idiotic dork. He can be very cool at one frame but then act like such a total loser the next.
What are your theories for Season 2B?
Oooh~ theories, eh? I only have 3:
There are about 10 episodes left. And there are 8 covens (I know there are 9 but I'm excluding the Emperor's Coven). 8 episodes will cover Luz and company fighting against 1 coven leader and show us a backstory. EDIT: Okay... so there are actually 9 covens, excluding the Emperor's Coven (thanks to @zirconpetals in the comments for mentioning). Cool. But still... my theory stands. I can see potential good plot points if they manage to have the characters fight against 2 coven leaders + cover some kind of backstory all in a span of 20 minutes for about 4-5 episodes. Then, the rest of Season 2B will be about the Day of Unity, Emperor Belos and how to defeat him.
Luz and Amity will have to separate at one point. Not break up, of course. But it's just that, during one of the fights, Luz might be forced to go back to Earth for some reason while Amity stays in the Boiling Isles. They'll eventually reunite, though, so their separation won't be permanent.
There'll be a parallel to "Stay away from my Luz!". Continuing on from my previous point, maybe Luz finds a way to go back to the Boiling Isles through something that Vee or someone else probably helped her with. And then when she sees Amity in trouble, Luz will come out of the portal door and be like, "Stay away from my Amity!".
I actually had a lot more, but it was before I revived my Tumblr. And now my account is full of Amphibia stuff so... yeah.
What's your favorite ship(s)?
I like Lumity, of course. I like Raeda as well but the thing is... I want to know more about Raine. It's such a shame that I only got to know them through some minor flashbacks. I want more scenes of them with Eda for me to really be considered a shipper.
What kind of palisman would you have?
Panther. I have no idea why. It just suddenly came to my head.
What coven(s) would you join?
Beast Keeping Coven. I guess it's because having a creature by your side is just so cool. Maybe my Panther Palisman can be beside me all the time (like some kind of Pokemon) rather than be cooped up in a staff.
How has The Owl House impacted you?
It makes me feel great to see a world where there's no homophobia. It makes me tear up how Eda just nonchalantly supports Luz when she wanted to ask Amity out, how Luz's romantic feelings for Amity were written genuinely, how Raine is introduced as non-binary and how they use "they/them" pronouns... and many others. I love that I got to know The Owl House because it made me come into terms with me being a lesbian. I've been raised in a world where being who I am is such a sin and whatever I'm feeling towards the same gender is wrong. So seeing this show and the characters actually not caring about such things and that love is just love no matter what it is, it... it's so touching. And on top of it all, watching The Owl House made me discover Amphibia - which is currently what I'm obssessed about at the moment.

1. Always post the rules. 2. Answer the questions given by the person who tagged you. 3. Write 11 questions on your own. 4. Tag 11 people.
I got tagged by @exocarapace.  I’m so sorry that I missedthis!!  So here’s my late answers. o(;△ ;)o
I’ll answer Kei’s questions and then I’ll post my questions under read more for the people tagged.
Questions:
1. What’s your favorite fairytale?
From the Grimm Brothers’ Fairytale, “The Peasant’s Wise Daughter”.
2. If there’s any place you could go for an unspecified amount of time (of your choice), anywhere in the world, real or fake, currently existing or not, where would you like to go?
Hoenn from Pokemon ORAS, so I can go surf or fly on an adventure!  (I also have a weakness for the diving experience.)
3. Fistfight a fictional character and win: who?
I would love to fistfight Rustal Elion from Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans. Season 2 GOT ME SHOOK SO BADLY!
4. You get SIOC’ed into a show as a relative of the main cast: your pick and why?
Hmm.. nothing particular comes into mind?
5. Your least favorite video game that you’ve ever played.
Hmmm, I would have to say “The Witch and the Hundred Knight”.  Don’t get me wrong, the gameplay was interesting since you get to play the the vassal helping the witch, but it’s not one of my favorites.  Storyline was eh-ok and the ending was questionable to the least?  Apparently in order to get the true ending, it counts as the bad ending and vice versa??  It was really confusing!  And the game kept on crashing on me when I was grinding levels.  Needless to say, I was NOT fond of the game for doing it.
6. What was the last lie you told?
“I’ll be there my friend as soon as I arrive back on land.”
7. List the first three food ingredients that come into your head. What are they? They are your pizza topping now. Enjoy.
Rice, white chocolate, and soy sauce.  I think this would a horror show from an episode of “Hell’s Kitchen auditions”.  Gordon Ramsay would pass out due to the disgusting ingredients!
8. Write your best clickbait title
You’ll never look at this person the same way after seeing her notes!
9. Current song stuck in your head
YOU'LL NEVER SEE IT COMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!! (Persona 5 - Last Surprise).
10. Have you ever seen anything that you wish you could bleach from your mind? If so, what?
Ok true story, the last convention that I went to had this gorgeous person cosplaying as Queen Serenity.  At the time, I was cosplaying as Akira Kurusu and walked around with my friend and noticed her.  She had a water bottle stuck between her boobs and well you can imagine what happened next- she tucked her head down and started drinking while maintaining eye contact with me. I tried to avert my eyes, but to my horror I couldn’t erase it! Before I went down though, I distracted my friend from seeing it.
11. On the flipside, if you could have personally witnessed anything in existence, what would you choose? Time and all that bullshit doesn’t matter.
I wish I could witness a meteor shower or the northern lights!
Read belo
My Questions:
1.  What are you doing right now?
2.  What is your favorite activity to do during the day?
3.  What is your favorite dish to eat?
4.   What makes you happy?
5.   What is your greatest fear?
6.   Would you choose a fluffy dog or fluffy cat?
7.   Ever fallen in love before?
8.  What was the strangest dream you ever had?
9.  Whether if it was for a tv show, video game, or anime, if you had the power to change the ending, what would it be?
10.   If mystical creatures exist, which would one you like to see/meet?
11.  If you can change anything that happened in your life, what would you change?
Tagging: @lazy-tan, @toki-aah, @tragicmacaroon, @makomina, @roseandradio, @nopenotara, @stardust-omelette, @leoplause, @stargazer-eyes, @koritheiceangel, @c4ndyr3d
