This seems to be the plan going forward and it's going to take a lot of time but it's probably the safest option for me (and probably most people); but I'm going to get a new domain to represent the majority of my activity on social media and share things there while actually using social media as a means of sharing the things i share. This seems like a dumb extra step, but it's also kind of the reverse of how we got from blogging to social media as we know it today. It also means I can restrict which third parties have any access to the things I create. It could also provide a much better means of just operating as an RPG writer.

Reminder to everyone else: you can own your own web pages and put things on them. Not too hard to do it for free. Learning how to do this is a good skill, and trying it is recommended.

Just saw this on my fyp a couple minutes ago. It pains me that someone would use this obviously AI generated picture with no shame instead of a commercial stock image or hiring an artist.

A friend of mine posted to our discord a nice narrated sci fi story. 

I was enjoying it when I realized it was being read by an ai. ok, boo ai crap, so I follow the links to where the story was originally posted. But it's gone! The author deleted all of his stuff because it was being stolen for ai readings on youtube! Then I notice that he was moving them to a new site with better protections (I.E. NOT reddit) So I follow the breadcrumbs and find where he'd posted it again only to see that for a cover image he used an AI generated piece of 'art'! I can not make this up if i tried so tired of this stuff...

Try to look at deviantart, ai crap.

Try to look at artstation, ai crap.

Try to update my graphics card, I get ads for ai crap.

facebook, ai crap.

youtube ads, ai crap.

Look up youtubers and game soundtrack composers I like…some of them are promoting ai crap.

Older blood relatives sending me ai images (possibly unknowingly, but still, sigh).

I open microsoft clip champ, ads for ai crap.

I click the little search button on my my taskbar, I get an ad for "yOuR aI pOwErEd CoPiLoT" (no matter how many times I "x" it out).

I visit some friends, their dad is watching the super bowl, guess what I see in the ads on tv? yup…ai crap.

And on tumblr, ai crap.

I'm sure this list will grow, this is just stuff off the top of my head.
