I'm kind of a sucker for "sweetheart," especially said by either one to the other in a moment of comforting. I also wouldn't mind a spanish term of endearment from Carlos! But in addition to whatever new one(s) we get, I hope we continue to get lots of babe and baby because those are my favorites.

I've had a pattern prepared for MONTHS that includes a quote from every time TK has called Carlos babe or baby (perhaps proof of how much I love when they call each other babe and baby!) It's going to be a big one and a bit time consuming. I've been putting off starting it for a while to focus on quicker projects, but I do really want to get to it soon. I think that might be the next one I start working on unless I get inspired to create a new pattern before then. Probably the next new pattern I'll make is a more detailed version of the bedroom as the next installment of my Loft Series.

I discovered Lone Star on tumblr and was ready to join the fandom right away but it took me a little while to find my LS fandom people...and then even longer to get them to start following me back! I started watching around the time 3x07 aired and I mostly felt like I was screaming into the void for the rest of season 3. By the season 3 finale and even more so the summer after, I started to feel a bit more involved in the fandom, and by the time we were getting ready for season 4 to air, I felt like I was actually a part of it.

It’s so weird that they’re killing off Gwen now when a lot of people speculated about her being dead because of TK’s coma dreams. I thought I heard people talking about TK having a relapse I wonder if this is part of how that happens.

As for whatever happens on the plane in the next ep I just really wish we could get some scenes of TK worrying about Carlos because we’ve constantly had bad things happening to TK and Carlos upset and worrying if he’ll survive. Time to switch things up. Like that scene of Carlos in the promo seeing a report about the plane I’m like really again. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Plus the show needs to put more focus on how much TK loves Carlos because I feel Iike 9/10 we’re seeing how much Carlos loves TK and not enough of the other side.

15,000+ words of Jen writing a "quick one shot" to dive into the 911ls fandom. Written before 3x07 aired so... what canon?

Also many thanks and much love to @slayerkitty who helped shape this into something that is (I hope) readable.

Summary: Jonah's first birthday celebration means TK and Carlos head up to New York to celebrate, leading to a conversation. Or rather, A Conversation. Which leads to a plan and an idea. And that would have been fine: it was fine. Until there was a call where it wasn't.

TK stirred as the announcement about beginning their decent finished. He started to fold away the blanket, shivering in the cool cabin air. He still didn't like flying all that much, way too many things could go wrong and they say take-off and landing are the 'danger times'. He looked out of the window, seeing the familiar vista of the city down below. He didn't feel any of the emotions he thought he would have felt: he wasn't nervous or worried about being back in the place that had been his home, the place where his life had completely blown up before being packed up and moved to a different state

"Looks pretty," Carlos' voice whispered in his ear, his chin pressing against TK's shoulder.

"Always does from this angle," TK replied, turning his attention from the view. "I used to enjoy the calls up high rises a little more than I probably should have."

"Does this mean you'll do the whole Observation Tower thing with me then?"

"It's a tourist trap."

"I am a tourist," Carlos pointed out. "Technically so are you."

"Born and raised," TK said, his mouth quirking up at the side, "I am so not a tourist."

"Even if home is somewhere else?" Carlos joked but TK knew him well enough to hear the slight tinge of worry.

"Home is with you, and you're here so…" He trailed off with a small laugh. "I'm not using this week as a pitch to get you to move, don't worry."

"I'm not worried about that," Carlos said and TK felt like he fell just a little bit more in love with him.

"I'm OK, really." He took Carlos' hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. "It was…" He took a breath before continuing. "It was another lifetime."

"I'm just—"

"Worried, I know. But I am OK, I promise."

"Good. And you're right about not moving, no way we'd get anywhere as nice as our place in this property market," Carlos added with a grin, reinforcing the joking tone of his voice.

"Exactly."

TK found Carlos' hand over their shared arm rest and gave it a reassuring squeeze as the runway pulled up into view.
