Weirdpunk

A punk movement based around being weird and encouraging being weird (in a way that doesn't harm anyone).

I'm autistic, have PPD, and OCD. These carry what neurotypicals deem, "weird traits." They make me act "weird", talk "weird", dress 'weird', etc etc.

I have identities that may be deemed "weird." My speech and writing patterns follow a non-normative vocabulary.

I have "weird" disorders, disabilities, and identities alongside many factors. I've been called weird multiple times. However, now? I take fucking pride in that shit. I take pride in being weird.

Encouraging being weird includes non-conforming of trying to be "normal" and rather accepting the weird, funky side of yourself. Also, accepts cringe, "flop" things, and more. It heavily goes against the stigma that those with traits that make the individual "weird" should either be sugar-coated or the individual should rather try to "fit in" and erase their "weird" traits. Rather, instead, it encourages that the individual loves the traits for how they are, as they are a part of themselves.

do you have any tips on how to do plain text and image descriptions correctly? like how descriptive should I be/not be when describing the image and stuff? I want to be as accessible as I can for people but I'm not sure how exactly to go about it. sorry if this ask is weird or anything, I'm just horrible at describing/explaining things and don't want to look stupid 😭

PLAIN TEXT

When adding plain text, you can add it before or after your message, but adding it before your message renders the actual message kind of useless! I'd personally recommend adding it before. However, directly after still works.

They can be written in a few different ways, some including:

You should drop all TQs and type with proper grammar when typing out a plain text. For example, "Hewwo! Nyice tu mweet yu!! Mwy name is [X]" would become "PT: Hello! Nice to meet you! My name is [X]" or "H♡w are y♡u t♡day?" would become "PT: How are you today? END PT."

You should never put the plain text (or image ID) under the cut as when accounts are deactivated, which happens often in the MOGAIblr community, you are no longer able to access the 'Read More' section. This is why most archive blogs add in the under the cut text when reblogging posts.

IMAGE IDS

When making an image ID, you can put the ID in either the alt text feature (accessible in the three dots present on the image on mobile or the three dots that appear when you hover over it on PC) or after the image in the post.

There's a few ways you can write out IDs, whether in alt text or just the post.

I usually try to be descriptive enough to get the point across when making my image IDs! For example, with this image: ( AC: @petasawa )

You describe enough to get the point across, you should spend most of your time describing the subject of the photo (if there is one), then their foreground, and then their background. This may change depending on the composition of the photo. I would personally do it in order of what catches the person's eye when they see the photo.

For flags, I'll use the transmasc flag as an example.

[ID: A 7-striped flag, that starting from the second stripe to the 6th, gradients from a light blue to a bright blue and then back again. The outermost stripes are bright pink. END ID.]

Most commonly, I describe the number of stripes and then the colors. It makes it a lot easier to describe if you use 'gradient' rather than just listing off every color, if your flag is a gradient. Some short templates you could follow could be:

A #-striped flag that gradients from [X] to [X].

A #-striped flag that from top to bottom is colored [X], [X], [X], [X].

If the flag has a symbol, you would just describe it like something in a normal image ID!

I don’t know why I did this other then, we have a personal system pride flag for our own personal system. It’s fun to make flags and I think others may like to make their own if they wish too! If you’ve seen our intro/pinned post you’ll see the layout, so the template also fallows this template!

palettegender: a colorgender subtype where instead of your gender being a single hue, it's an entire color palette.

the identities of this term dont need to have specific names, just the colors visible on the flag should be enough, though youre free to come up with seperate names if you find a name you like, generally the name template is [thing]palettic (ex: fairypalettic, irispalettic etc.)

Bloodfiend

( ID: A flag with 7 horizontal stripes. The second and sixth stripes are much thinner, and the fourth, center stripe is significantly thicker. The colours of the stripes in order are as follows. Deep brownish red, pale reddish pink, dark red, bright red, dark red, pale reddish pink, deep brownish red. On top of the flag, in the center, there is a light pink symbol. A term under the Genderfiend system, in which one's gender is blood/bloody and a fiend, the fiend of blood, bloody and fiendish, or similar!

Ignideeric - An umbrella term that encompasses both ignidesins & maliglows / a gender that is both desolic & gloeyeer / a gender that falls under both the gloeyeeric & ignidesolin umbrellas / both DESOLIN & GLOEYiN. [2 versions because I couldn't decide which I prefered]

Template + ID template (with help courteous of @/mogai-sunflowers) [ID: A flag with 15 mirrored horizontal stripes, which are in "sets" based on the type of stripe they are. -fag & -dyke suffix

Been meaning to make these but here's the flags for the -fag and -dyke gender systems. These were made to be in the same vein as -freak, -teacher, -thing, etc genders. No catch all term for the gender system though as I can't really think of one, plus genderfag/faggender and genderdyke/dykegender already kinda exist.

I may make a -fagdyke template if I can think of any way of mashing these two flags together. My mindset created these flags was basically using wavy and round shapes for the -fag flag, and sharp shapes for the -dyke flag. I didn't really have any idea on what to do for the -fag flag but I ended up with that, and that is cool as shit, so I'm going with it.

@begendered-mogai tagging you because you had seemed interested when I mentioned coining this :)

[ID] The -fag flag has 7 horizontal stripes, the middle stripe is wavy. On the edges of the flag on the top right and bottom left, and vaguely in the middle on both the bottom and top, there are circular thorn-like protrusions facing towards the middle of the flag where the stripe bows away from the respective sides. The thorns are the same color as the top and bottom stripes, and inside them is completely the color as the third and fifth stripes. The colors of the flag shades of gray, with the middle stripe being white. [/End ID] [ID] The -dyke flag has 9 horizontal stripes, the middle stripe is spikey being connected diamond-shapes. On the left and right of the flag there's two triangles, the larger triangle is the same color as the third and seventh stripes, and is behind both the top and bottom stripes, and the middle stripe. The smaller triangle is the same color as the second and eighth stripes, the very tip of it is overlayed over the middle stripe. The colors of the flag are shades of gray, with the middle stripe being white. [/End ID]

i thought of this idea and had to coin it! it's based on the fact that the only way gems have of categorizing each other is by their gem (rather than, say, by gender, like humans tend to do), so their gemstone is an important personal identity as well as a community they're part of.

this can be an alterhuman identity or more similar to various non-gender, non-orientation liom identities (things like perspesque, vior, hearthic, etc.)

the term is 'gem' + 'hede', a middle english suffix similar to 'hood' (like 'brotherhood', etc.), and the general flag's colors are from the steven universe logo!

i'll post gemhedes for lots of the canon gemstones soon!
