There's some dude (derogatory) on FB who is PISSED people are pricing their farm fresh eggs at $2 and $3 a dozen instead of $4+, saying it's "disrespectful" and "undignified" and "I'm trying to feed my kids" like Sir, you are on a Facebook group page bitching about your neighbors egg prices because your pet chickens aren't earning you a living wage and you think it's your neighbors' fault, you do not have a leg to stand on here wrt dignity.
Also half the answers are like "I give them to friends and family free" or "I donate them to food banks" or "I'm making them affordable to folks who might not otherwise be able to get them now that they're so expensive in the store" and "if you think you're going to turn a profit keeping backyard chickens you have been wildly misled" and so on, and so forth, and I'm so living for it.
and I can tell you right now, he did NOT like my answer of "if you're trying to feed your kids, I hear eggs are edible."

the new video was greatly needed if watcher had any hopes of staying afloat. unfortunately, this backpedaling does not change the fact that
1) high production "television quality" content is what they want to make
2) this content is evidently not what people want to watch (even post-apology i'm seeing a lot of people saying they liked bfu better than anything watcher has produced)
again, if they have a clear vision of what they want to make, that's great. but unless there's a market for that content, then it's not going to turn a profit, or break even for that matter. yes, artists deserve to be paid for their work, but art is always bought by people who want and have an interest in said art.
im an artist pursuing my dreams too, but i don't expect people to buy my niche paintings just on the principle that i am an artist creating what i want. if i wanted to make money from this and turn it into a business, i would take commissions and specifically create what other people want. that is what having any kind of artistic job is about, unfortunately.
it's great if what you want to create and what people want to see overlap, but that's not always the case. and i really fear this is the case with watcher and they won't pivot enough to fix any of their problems

The worst part is that Volition was on the edge of entering a new golden age. They were getting ready to completely stop with the Saints Row series and delve into new IPs and adventures. There were talks about reviving the Red Faction series too. Even had the original Red Faction's writer on board for this one.
And it looked so great for them too, with Gearbox's help that is. They pretty much cleared the studio of all the bad apples (the upper management that sabotaged Agents of Mayhem), had a lot of the old staff that worked on SR1 and SR2 brought back specifically for reboot that were ready to delve into new franchises too, upgraded several of its departments (they were supposed to finally get their own marketing department. There are people at Volition that got laid off that have worked less than 6 months there), didn't have to answer to crackheads from Deep Silver (check out flippy's latest video on more info about that), even had Randy Pitchford himself give Volition his stamp of approval because "Volition needs to be Volition to make good games".
They were actually getting ready to make a game they were truly passionate about, without any micromanagement from Deep Silver ruining it in order to keep it "market safe".
It sucks how now they'll never get that redemption arc. They'll never get a chance to make a game from start to end. Not even selling millions could've saved them.

after deducting the cost of materials (charms, findings, the little display cards they go on to) and, hell, even rounding it up an extra 20% for such things has "had to buy a £2 pair of pliers once"
right
after deducting that and being generous with it
i get paid roughly £165 per hour for labour making earrings. i'm serious. £5.50 for two minutes of work

tw fire / arson
The street is engulfed in a burning blaze. The buildings next door will adopt the flames too, and before long the entire city will be alight with the villain’s master plan.
Everything is coming together just as he wanted. By the time the heroes get here, the destruction will be too great to do anything but salvage whatever little remains. The fallout will give them plenty of time to get everything in place for his final big show.
The villain lets the flames warm his face from where he’s watching the carnage. Everything is perfect.
There’s a light tug at the end of his coat. “Mr. Evil?”
The villain gives the spot next to him a frown, before pointing it downward—a child, a wholeass child, clinging to the hem of his coat with a little too much force, wrinkling the usually smooth fabric. A glance around gives him no inkling as to how they got here.
“Hey, uh…” The villain has to raise his voice over the sound of the buildings crumbling around them. “If this is your kid, can you come and get them? I won’t attack you.”
Nothing. Either no one is willing to risk their neck or this kid is somehow out here alone. Wonderful. Of course this would happen to the villain as he’s trying to reach his peak in life.
“Look, kid.” The villain squats down to the child’s level. They don’t let go of his coat like the villain had hoped, and so he sets about carefully prying their tiny fingers off. “It’s dangerous. You shouldn’t be out here. Where’re your parents?”
The kid laughs brightly, as if the arson of the city they live in is entertaining. “Mr. Evil!”
Clearly there’s been an attempt to teach this thing stranger danger, but maybe the concept of ‘evil’ hasn’t quite gone in yet.
The kid points up to where the building opposite is ragefully burning. “Boom!” they squeak, and they clap their hands joyfully when it responds by creaking on its supports.
There’s no one around but the villain and this child that looks to barely be in the double-digits. He can’t leave them here. He’s a villain, not a degenerate. There’s screaming nearby as people flee the impending blaze.
He stands back upright with an irritated sigh. He can’t believe he’s letting morality he shouldn’t technically have get in the way of everything. He holds a hand out to the child expectantly.
“Come on,” he says with what he hopes passes off as kindness, “we should be going.”
The kid has a concerning lack of hesitation in taking his hand, a bright grin on their face as they watch the flames engulf everything.
There’s people making their getaways a few streets over, moving from the flames like a terrified flood. The child watches everyone absently as the villain tries to pick out anyone he can hand them off to.
“Hey, you!” the villain calls into the fray. “You, in the blue shirt!”
A woman miraculously slows down, swimming through the current of people to reach them. “This kid needs to go,” he tells her urgently. “They’re lost—find their parents if you can.”
The kid turns up to the villain with wide, puppy-like eyes as he lets go of them. “Mr. Evil?”
“You’re going to find your parents, alright?” he says. “Go now, before the fire spreads. I have to, uh, go look for other people.”
The woman nods, bending down to the kid with her hands out. “Come on, kiddo, let’s get going then.”
The villain has let go of the kid, but said kid doesn’t seem to have the same idea. Their grip is back on the bottom of his coat, tucking behind him like he’s the safest person in the world. It takes a frankly embarrassing amount of effort to push them into her arms. They fight it the entire time like they’re being kidnapped.
The woman turns on her heel to continue her escape, and the child gets one last look at the villain from over her shoulder.
“Mr. Evil…?” they say uncertainly. The moment it’s clear the villain’s getting further away they burst into tears, their wails echoing through the collapsing city around them.
The villain lingers worriedly, waiting until the pair are out of sight before turning on his heel to finish what he started.
God, he’s a villain. An upset child shouldn’t make him feel bad. His heart hurts though, much to his dismay, and he knows that he never wants to see a kid caught up in his plans again.
Goddamnit, he doesn't even like kids.

there are doctors there are hospitals there are specialists there is medicine there are systems in place so people do not have to suffer and be tortured under their own chronic pain daily and yet. they're all fucking inaccessible to the people who need it most!!! to what I would argue is most disabled people!! I'm so fucking done with the medical system.
#today is an absolutely wretched pain day that makes me want to not be here anymore but guess what!#wasted a whole year trying to convince my doctors I was in significant and disableing pain daily and the best they could do#is tell me to go to PT and to wait 6 months and tell them if it gets better#to prescribe some shit like gabapentin or otc pain meds and write me off#tell me they'll get new X-rays to see if it got worse by the summer#disability exists!! specialists exist! good doctors fucking exist!! somewhere!!! I'm sure!!#but here I sit. in excruciating amounts of pain unable to convince any fucking doctors of anything#and that year I spent pushing myself to the limit is wasted bc at the very end of it all only one guy listened to me#and he said no one in their giant ass facility could diagnose me#so I'm back to square one bc I got a new job which means new insurance and new doctors to try and convince again#I just want to be on disability so i can want to be alive again#I'm so frustrated and in pain constantly#what are people like me who have to work 40hrs to afford to live but don't have any family to rely on supposed to do??#just die? am i supposed to continue to work until im too disabled to move and be profitable unless i get lucky?#bc some fucking doctor finally decides to actually listen???#ive tried ALL THE DAMN TRICKS TOO. telling them a friend has it and thats how i found out. that my previous doctor was looking into it#etc etc#I'm SO done living like this i am exhausted.#and to know that i COULD BE HELPED. RIGHT NOW. is the worst fucking part#these systems are in place so people like me dont have to fucking suffer.#but i cant even do anything about it bc i have a cat.

idk it's still completely wild to me that rvb started as a dumbass parody made my some gamer dudebros wiggling their guns in halo multiplayer for their crummy 98% dick and boob jokes voice over track then randomly 6 seasons later they were like actually we're going to quintuple our budget and start taking a hard and splintering look at the ethics of AI, the ceaseless setting/pushing/crossing of moral boundaries in science order to feed the industrial war machine, intergenerational trauma and the military, the elusive nature of true bodily autonomy in a capitalist society, and the inherent selfishness of seeking our your soulmate through a thousand lifetimes (but also still dick and boob jokes) and its like. what the fuck

Okay here's a little story time for you!.
Back in the old days, before TT2, we used to get a new Tekken game every 5 or so years. But that changed when TT2 didn't meet up with the success Bandai Namco wanted. But even with that, they gave us Tekken 7, even with the little budget it had.
Oh, but miracles do happen! And Tekken 7 ended up being a successful game. At first, they only planned around 2-3 seasons and the game to be final one in the franchise. But fortunately, that ended not being the case because people really loved and really bought the game!.
During it's time, around 2019?, after seeing the profits, the Dev team was divided in two parts one working on Tekken 8 and one on the patches and DLC's in 7. ( I assume this because Nina's VA in Bloodline said she was recording the lines before the pandemic in 2019 )
Now, where am I going with this? Well! Here what my point is! Let me explain. Tekken 7 had to recover from TT2 loss, and the pandemic brought T8's development back. Thankfully, Tekken 8 won't have that for Tekken 9. So with that, we can assume that Tekken 9 won't have a long wait like Tekken 8 did. But rather, we'll be back at a normal pace before the TT2 Era, having the Tekken 9 game starting development in 2026 and being released in 2030!.

There is a program to feed AI bad data apparently…
It’s called nightshade. I don’t know much about it though. You can check it out here:
https://nightshade.cs.uchicago.edu/whatis.html
Oh I heard about Nightshade... For some reason I thought it wasn't free. 😅
But it's neat to learn it is! Thanks for the link! I'll be seeing how to run this.

I'd like to think in the hypothetical post-scarcity/capitalism utopia there would still be people who want to make movies and there would thus also still be people like me, who want to open theaters where you can go and watch them.

It really drives me nuts how Capcom made Maya Fey seem like a major character in the 456 collection like how she's the 3RD CHARACTER SHOWN IN THE TRAILER. And how she's prominent as the 1st thing you're supposed to see on aa6's art book cover and on the game cover itself buts she's barely in 6 let alone 4 and 5.
Of course i know it's to market to trilogy fans to say "look, our collection isn't that different from the trilogy! Jump right in to see ur faves in new wacky adventures." But yea as someone who doesn't prefer 5 and 6, Capcom's cowardice ticks me off. The least they could do is market the game for what it is then decieve audiences.
She's a cameo character through and through in aa6. She shows up halfway through the game in only 2 out of 5 cases and is a literal plot device in both. One where she's a client again and the other where it was the only way a new character could be in the spotlight. You barely talk to her compared to any other main character too.
TLDR: How the hell did u put Maya Fey before Trucy Wright AND Athena Cykes in the trailer for their games???
