things that happen in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven

obviously spoilers for jojo parts 1-8 and the game

-In the story mode each character has their own upgrade tree.

-speedwagon shows up at the end of part 3, sees two buff men, and instantly assumes they are Johnathan's descendants

-Speedwagon has a Holy corpse part (from part 7), it lets him time travel.

-He explains that he left Johnathan to fight zombies while he gets help or something?

-Allies and Enemies are showing up under the effect of some anomaly. The corpse part makes them normal, they only ever use this on corrupted allies.

-like half of jotaros lines are Yare Yare Daze

-Jotaro meets his future daughter and goes "im not emotionally dealing with this right now."

-They get the turtle from part 5

-Every character you recruit goes into the turtle.

-You go back to part 1 to save Johnathan. Dio and Diego (Part 7) are there.

-They go to part 6 and Jotaro meets his future daughter and goes "im not emotionally dealing with this right now."

-You get the Parts 1-6 Jojo and they each get a corpse part.

-They try to travel to the next area. Only Johnathan and josuke are allowed to continue

-Johnathan Recruits Johnny and Gyro.

-They are both lime green

-They are the only characters colored like this.

-Josuke recruits Gappy and Joshu. They are the only part 8 characters in the game

-Joskue and Josuke find Kira and Kira (after he face swaps) in the part 8 universe and they are like "God damn it Joskue I wanted a quiet life here without you" and you fight them

Half of Gappys lines are "I need to know who I am"

They call him "Hat Josuke"

Its revealed that some other universe DIO has achieved heaven and can rewrite reality.

Giorno uses GER & Johhny uses the golden spin. They do nothing.

Jotaro uses "Same type of stand" and can rewrite reality.

He kills DIO and gets sent back to the end of part 3 with his memory of this, no one else remembers it.

Two post credit scenes, one revealing in this universe Avdol, Kakyoin, and Iggy lived, the other revealing Jotaro brought child jolyne with him during part 4.

non story stuff

-there are 4 dios in the game

-Part 1, 3, Diego, and Diego (again)

-People like Chili Pepper & The water guy from part 3 are in the game and have to stand still to use their stand. you can just walk up and punch them

HITW top plays are always weird. Like unless people parkour clutch like Fundy and Dream have, do really hard jumps that they are the sole survivor of like Jojo did before (I think Tubbo got that one too though so I would look for a better clip) or do something new or extreme (like winning all three rounds?) it doesn’t really mean much tbh and not that exciting.

10 - antvenom hitw -> eh. like good on him ig but someone has to win a hitw round and it happened to be him. like idr him doing any insane clutch to stay alive or surviving multiple rounds ?

9 - zeuz meltdown -> i admit this is clutch his teammates were frozen and he killed 3 people on purple on his own wasnt an ace but it was p good

8 - ponk parkour tag -> good and perfect!!!!!!! no notes

7 - sylvee meltdown -> ALSO good sylvee aced red which consisted of sapnap foolish gumi... sharpshooters who were literally cosplaying valo characters like they are VERY good and she still got the upper hand

6 - hannah survival games -> AGAIN very good and deserved hannah had the most kills in SG by quite a bit 7 is very impressive for SG fr SO great

5 - captainsparklez parkour tag -> it IS cracked tbf like zeuz tagged antvenom and pete (POOR PETE) out almost instantly so the fact that cap was being chased the whole round and survived is very cool but...... 5th....? its ranked a little too high sawry

4 - sapnap battle box - sapnap was top player of battle box but i wont lie this isn't even anywhere close to being sapnap's best battle box iirc? idk man like how many kills did he even get in his other battle boxes. its p standard tho sapnaps pvp plays tend to make it into these top 10 videos lol

omg this is a super funny story. i had a friend who wanted me to watch it, but i wasnt sure. i mean i wanted to watch it, but i really didnt know how dark/mature it would be and i thought i was too young at the time lol. then i was on discord one day with some friends and they were watching jojo's and it was the episode where wamuu and joseph were fighting and i was SO INTO IT LMAOOOOO. i loved it, but never watched jojo's until a friend BEGGED ME. i started with the manga funny enough and then just finally watched it. fell in love <3

Here is my opinion for all the series for gmmtv 2024

Ossan's love story

This one... I wasnt sure of it when i first heard the series but I just watched the trailer and I must say it is refreshing to see earth in goofy roles after his serious roles for god know how long... The uncle who has to pair with earth looks real good and mix is also serving comedy... Def will tune in once it airs!!

2. Leap day

I love the concept and gun'a acting and the plot seems interesting but I think dew and pond are the ones who need a bit more acting lessons... I think they might get better in this! Also the girl from my love mix up is here! Def not high up in list but we will see!

3. The heart killers

Firstkhaotung and joongdunk collab with jojo.. This will be epic!!! Also a stern joong and dunk chasing him??? the trope i have always wanted to see with joongdunk... Tuning in definitely!!!

4. Friendshit forever

Not a fan of this genre.. sorry mook and newwwie....

5. Us

It gives indie vibe and we are here just for the vibes and girls.... Nth too fancy or complicated here... Just ur comfort food on a wednesday night

6. Perfect 10 liners

pesci's arc was really good. also EVERYONE IN PART 6. I LOVE that almost none of them are big time professional criminals, it makes them more interesting and human to me. I really like how a lot of them are just shitty regular florida people who fucked up and got caught. it gives you something to chew on like "what circumstances make you stab someone 69 times??" "what does D an G's extreme faith in Nostradamus' predictions say about who he is? Is he a conspiracy theorist, is there a religious aspect?" "MIU MIU TRIED TO SHOOT A FUCKING CHILD WHAT THE FUCK HE WASNT EVEN AN INMATE-"

8. Ok I've done some thinking and: Yo-Yo Ma. Hear me out, there are stands that are scarier or cooler or more destructive, but Yo-Yo Ma has a lot of cons that other stands don't:

he's sentient. a little guy. a friend. he could be nice to have around

I can just ask him to help with groceries or cooking or work stuff, I don't have to manually control him like with Star Platinum or another non-sentient stand like that

absolutely indestructible. damage done to him does not reflect on me!

basically the only way to defeat him is killing the user (me) and he seems to have a very large or near-infinite range so I can just hide like a little bitch until he eventually gets rid of my enemies 👍

10. hmmmmmmmm. Lucy Steel herself didn't do anything wrong, it was just that whever she was in the story there was some adult character making sexual advances or she was drawn in a way that was showing borderline or full nudity. she was an ok character she was just unfortunately in a LOT of scenes that were really uncomfortable for me personally to read/see

13. THUNDER MCQUEEN for drawing he's so SHAPED. I love stylizing him and figuruing out how to translate his hair into the style i'm going for. For writing probabaly Lang because I have a lot of practice *coughs in AO3*

18. THE MCQUEEN PANTIES SCENE HOLY SHIT. THE TIMING IN THE ANIME IS PERFECT THE LITTLE WATER DROP OFF HIS COWLICK I LOVE IT

mcc 25 thoughts:

way, way better than mcc 24! i watched illumina again, he was on blue and he got 4th on a 9th place team. so obviously since they placed bottom half i would say it was generally very good vibes, but like this is not their fault cause... who likes losing. they had really good vibes considering they slid from 4th to 9th.

thoughts on blue: the first half was really fun and they did so good in grid runners it was so cool! their sg was really good as well. but in the second half it just wasnt good and they started getting 8-10 in games, when pkt got picked it was like super depressing; they were probably the most upset team about that maybe? i was personally also so upset because illu in sot is actually mesmerizing but yeah.

blue was not a bad team they just got their 3 best games skipped (build mart, sot, rsr). LITERALLY false and illumina’s best games it’s so unfortunate. i stand by my blue in second prediction pre-game announcement. I MISS SOT AND BUILD MART!!!

also i’m considering not watching illu live since i’ve watched him live for the past 3 mccs (kinda- in mcc23 he got subbed out so i like stream-jumped and hated it)/ aka all the mccs ive watched live. if i want consistency probably would be best to watch someone on the dteam or fruit but i dont like the dteam (in mcc) so idk. will probably stay bcuz he is my favorite streamer lol im just saying this because it is like. So stressful. he doesn’t really contribute to the team energy despite being a technical leader and it leaves a lot things up to chance.

im so happy for jojo!!! as a girl i’ve always wanted a female player to dominate in mcc and im very glad it’s jojo. this mcc didn’t have a overly dominant team and i know that her team struggled. so i think the best vod to watch is purple?

i was rooting for punz bcuz im always rooting for punz (he’s literally the underdog) and i was watching them during pkt because blue was just like. no-

in terms of teams i was supporting- or rather not supporting- the teams i was supporting did well! i was neutral about fruit’s team but i did not want red or cyan to win (also orange as well but that’s different). i was rooting sm for punz’ team to get into db (as i said above) and i really thought they had it! but rip. anyways, very glad they beat red.

fruitninja db curse is real even though i watched jojo. db was good- im glad it wasnt a sweep and also it was a funneling-less db which i loved. i personally just wasn’t that interested because i had been so invested in blue. illu dub maybe? maybe for the mcc18 anniversary??? i love mcc18 it’s my favorite mcc

overall i’m happy w how this mcc turned out. life has been really rough lately and i also haven’t been following mcyt because i’ve been busy with other things but watching mcc is so, so fun. i have never watched a team that got 9th place; the lowest is probably last mcc with purple getting 3rd. yes ive only watched 5 mccs live. gonna watch a ton of vods maybe? maybe? idk? or vod review? who knows. seeya

I know nothing about jojo. Teach me it out of context

part 1 phantom blood. um jonathan (British) has some personal problems with his adopted brother dio brando (also british) and then dio kills their dad and becomes a vampire. jonathan gets shounen powers and a guy survives for like fifteen minutes after being cut in half. dio gets decapitated so jonathan went and got married but then dios decapitated head appeared on the boat and was like jonathan i respect you so i want to use your decapitated body as my own. and jonathan was like dude thats kind of fucked up but the boat blew up and dio did it anyway. erina survived though

im putting these under a cut cause it got long as fuck but heres your jojo summaries

part 2 battle tendency is like. joseph who is jonathans thotty grandson teams up with caesar zeppeli (italian) (gay) to defeat the pillar men which include kars (milf) esidisi (milfs live in boyfriend) wamuu (adopted son). another milf called lisa lisa trains them into their shounen powers and then esidisi shows up and kills the teachers aides and possesses lisa lisas assistant and then dies. basically they all get into this arena deathmatch involving zombie horses and kars grows wings and runs around all sexy for a little bit before getting launched into space. caesar gets crushed by a stone cross after making a gay ass speech. love loses. also it turns out lisa lisa was josephs mom the whole time.

part 3 stardust crusaders i kind of hate but i love the characters so basically jotaro kujo (josephs grandson) um he gets his stand and hes like whats this evil spirit i have to be locked in prison for everyones protection. and then his mom gets a stand too but sike women arent people so shes going to die. this is of course dios fault and they have to kill dio. kakyoin tries to kill jotaro and then jotaro pulls the worm out of his head and theyre best friends after that. polnareff tries to kill avdol and avdol sets him on fire and theyre [redacted] after that. they all go on a wacky roadtrip to cairo to kill dio during which kakyoin feeds a baby its own shit and avdol fakes his death for a little over a week. killing dio doesnt go great and vanilla ice sucks avdol into the void and kills their dog iggy and i hate watching that part. kakyoin is crushed under the weight of his own hubris. dio thinks hes sexy for being able to stop time but jotaro can also stop time and he kills dio. jotaros very traumatized due to the entire experience. for some reason both polnareff and joseph survive. the end

part 4 diamond is unbreakable is basically josuke higashikata whos josephs kid out of wedlock hunting down a serial killer with a hand fetish. jotaro is there hes a marine biologist now and josuke is technically his uncle. theres also josukes best friend okuyasu theyre a lil gay but thats alright we like them. also got short king koichi and yukako. and evil twink mangaka rohan. its like murder mystery except a lil more fucked up cause its jojo. ultimately kira (murderer with hand fetish) gets his ultimate powers that manipulate time and space but it doesnt even matter cause josuke has protagonist disease okuyasu dies for like 10 mins but he gets better. kira gets punched into the street by jotaro and then an ambulance runs him over and he dies.

part 5 vento aureo is giorno giovanna whos dios kid but hes also jonathans kid bc dio fucked with jonathans body and thats how giorno was born. he kind of acts like dio if dio had jonathans moral code and hes blond. anyway hes 15 and he joins the mafia because he wants to end heroin abuse and he ends up getting god timespace manipulation powers and killing the boss diavolo but half of his friends are killed horribly so that sucks. and then he becomes the don of the italian mafia. and hes still 15. also polnareff is there for a minute he gets killed sort of but his ghost possesses a turtle so hes giornos turtle after that i guess.

part 6 stone ocean my favorite part cause theres finally lesbianism. jolyne who is jotaros daughter is in prison bc she got framed for murder by her boyfriend. jotaros been an absent father due to him having personal problems. he shows up to break her out of prison but he gets his soul and his stand turned into discs and pulled out of his head and he goes into a coma and most of the rest is jolyne trying to get the discs back. she has 2 girlfriends called hermes and foo fighters who is technically a mass of sentient plankton. weather report (sexy) and anasui (ugly) are also there. the main antagonist is pucci who is a priest and was also dios best friend when he (pucci) was 16 for some reason. by the end they get jotaros discs back and pucci successfully starts manipulating reality itself and it turns out weather report was his brother all along and their backstory is REALLY fucked up and then jotaro comes back and anasui is like jotaro can i marry your daughter and hes like no and then everyone gets killed and pucci resets the universe but emporio the ten year old theyve been hanging out with gets weather reports stand and uses it to follow pucci through the universe resets and he ends up creating one where pucci never existed. it ends with “irene” kujo meeting hermes and anasui/weather report are also there. its implied that this is a new universe where none of the bad shit ever happened. emporio is crying. it kind of sucks

part 7 steel ball run i really dont know how to summarize but basically johnny joestar whos like alt universe jonathan but actually not really like that at all. hes also paralyzed from the waist down and he wishes he wasnt. um he meets an italian (gyro zeppeli) and they go on a horse race across america to track down the body of christ. they meet diego brando whos like dio but hes more about class warfare than megalomania and hot pants who has a stand that lets her turn her flesh into spray. diegos stand is that he can turn himself and other living things into dinosaurs. johnny can shoot his fingernails like bullets. anyway they end up fighting the president of the united states (funny valentine) who was trying to turn lucy steele whos only like 14 into a vessel for the corpse of jesus or something and he kills gyro and hotpants and diego and johnnys like this sucks but sends him into an infinite death loop bc hes a dimension hopper but he just keeps dying over and over again in any dimension he goes into. and he deserved it

1. The Raven Tower by Ann Lecke: Mawat is set to be the new Raven Lease, a interpreter of an old Raven god, but when he comes back, he find his uncle has taken the spot on the bench. Mawat assumes his father must have been killed. We follow his best friend Eolo as he does the dirty work in finding out what happened to his friends father. The story is told through the perspective of another old god, the Silence and Patients of the Hill as he tells the story of what happened to Eolo, and how the Raven came to power.

I... read this book in 2020 to my suprise... The world building, the building of the world of old gods, it was soooo amazing.

2. A Close and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers: Lovelace, a ship AI, went though a hard reset and cannot remember the people of the ship she was on, her supposed friends. Pepper, a biofacimile and mechanic, takes her in with the help of a new body and a place to call home. It’s the story of how Lovelace finds her new place in the world, and how Pepper originally found hers.

CLONE AI FRIENDSHIP!!! The found family, the self discovery, it was all so good. Made me soft and happy.

3. Wild Beauty by Anna Marie McLemore (My favorite author!!): Estrella and her 4 cousins have the power to grow flowers at thier fingertips. They have fallen in love with the same girl. However, who ever the Nomeolvides women love are cursed to die. When a boy appears after generations do disappearing and a rich man wants to turn thier power into a tourist attraction, Estrella must figure out the history of La Pradera that has cursed them.

Anna Marie McLemores books are always my favorite, they have such good writing and I find all of thier books and short stories to be in my top 10 or whatever I am reading.

4. King and the Dragonflies by Kacen Callender: After the death of his brother, Kingston assumes his brother turned into a dragonfly. Between the grief, the dreams he has about his brother, and his best friend Sandy who came out to him as gay, he’s struggling. When Sandy disappears to escape his abusive father, Kingston and Sandy go on an adventure of their town to keep Sandy safe, and Kingston finds out more about himself.

While it’s nice that we are getting more queer rep in books, I do not care as much for romcom stories. I read Felix Ever After and that one didn’t click as much with me. Something about stories of queer people finding themselves is much more interesting to me.

Love from A to Z by S.K. Ali: After getting caught passing notes saying things about her Islamaphobic teacher, Zayneb is suspended, and sent earlier to Doha for spring break to spend time with her aunt to settle down. Adam, recently diagnosed with MS, going to Doha to return to his family after quitting university, is struggling with his life. Little do the two of them know they both keep the same journal, documenting Marvels and Oddities. They meet in an airport on the way to Doha and things go from there...

I finished this one last night. I usually don’t like YA romance, but SK Ali knocked it out of the park with this one. I think my favorite m/f pairing is sweet guy and righteously angry girl

4. Did you discover any new authors this year?

I enjoy Kacen Callender, who I discovered this year! Becky Chambers Wayferers series is so good, so much found family I’m soft. SK Ali’s books were really good, I love how unapologetically Muslim her characeters are. I also liked Talia Hibberts start to the Brown sisters trilogy, chronically ill romance was amazing. All of them are really good. Oh!! I also got into Junji Itos work which is super good, the ink work is 👌

13. What were your least favorite books this year ?

The Magnus Chase series by Rick Riordan. The islamaphobia and racism was so prominent, it’s so frustrating to see this in one of the most prominent children’s series rn. Less worse, it just feels like a cash grab at this point, it wasn’t memorable

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtuew by Mackenzi Lee. The more I think about this book it makes me mad. Also doesn’t help she was in multiple controversies, signing books that weren’t hers by authors of color and marketing her romance with a trans man as f/f.

Jojos Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood Manga by Hirohiko Araki: There’s a reason people skip this. It’s boring and as deep as a kiddie pool

Lucky Few by Kathryn Osembree: The book itself wasnt great but the ending where the author tried to tell people not to stereotype cause homophobes are like us was the final nail in the coffin

Five Feet Apart by Raechel Lippincott. Everything about this book was annoying, but she also killed off her only gay character who also happened to be the only character of color to advance the white girls narrative. Hated it

16. What was the most overhyped book you read this year?

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. I might just not be into war stories but also it was kinda boring. I didn’t like it as much as everyone else did, and once I got to the end I was listening to it at 2.0x speed to get it done faster. Not my favorite book by far this year

hunter x hunter thotz so far

soooo ruth and i started watching hunter x hunter woohoo finally! we’re like 10 or so eps in so i decided to collect some thots below on what i think so far (i havent rlly been spoiled so im interested to look back on this once ive watched more)

first off i love gon sm, hes immediately so endearing...hes just a baby!!!! just a little baby boy!!!! hes just so cute and good, im so not ready for him to get put thru the wringer later on as ive vaguely heard happens

the first few episodes were really fast paced which i enjoyed and thought was for the best. the characters came thru really strongly and i feel like we heard juuuust enough about the setting, premise, and what a hunter is

i wasnt expecting leorio and kurapika to show up in the FIRST EP lmao that surprised me. i love so much how the three of them like IMMEDIATELY became a family unit in like 3 eps lmaoooo it was like ok here are 2 parents and their son bam. also leorio and kurapika having a showdown on the boat (which didnt end up happening) was a wild ride

i have like zero fucking idea what a hunter is and the more they attempt to explain the more confused i get. its honestly kind of hilarious how little sense it makes. to be clear this doesnt detract from my enjoyment of the show at all (if anything it adds to it)

oh my god fuckgin hisoka is the worst he hasnt done much but i hate him so much already. good villain writing/design so far, hes so hateable

ruth every time hisoka shows up: WE HATE UR PUSSY BIIIITCH

the character design in this show is....a lot lmao. ruth and i decided its a cross between soul eater, jojo, and one piece in terms of aesthetic. the designs are certainly unique and so many of them are just so ugly hvbjafdbdskgs it reminds me of that post thats like ‘masterpost of jojo characters who look busted as shit’ lmao

i already love this show a lot tbh like the way its structured so far has been kinda atypical for a shounen, at least in terms of fights - we really havent seen a lot of fighting yet. also nen hasnt shown up yet and its reminding me of stands not becoming a thing in jojo until p3 lmao

anyways in litrally ep1 i already loved the 3 main characters we saw...leorio is a wild dude, i love him sm, especially as a fellow medical binch who wants MONEY. like, thats literally me. and kurapika is also wild, like damn they rlly just dropped their backstory in ep 1 huh. like we rlly are jumping right into this

also when leorio said he was a teenager i was like WHAT???? just like evryone else which YEA omfg. i cant believe hes that young lmao. kurapika too

so leorio is one of those 19 yr olds who looks 40 and kurapika is the type of teen who looks like a 12 yr old

and KILLUA i love him sm also....hes an adorable assassin catboy and hes perfect. i love how quickly he and gon hit it off (tiny bfs.....) and how hes just like, this extra as hell 12 yr old with a SKATEBOARD and ASSASSIN SKILLS and then he sees gon and is like guess im gonna fall in love

i gotta talk abt gon again i just love him. hes so polite and cute and kind and good, i just love him...wht a good protag. his motivation is just wild too, hes like well my dad abandoned me to go off and be a hunter (which he isnt even mad abt, what a nice lad) so im gonna do that to see what the deal is

i love how gon (just like the audience) doesnt really know what a hunter does/is and just goes into the exam totally blind lmao. also the fact that his skills seem to include jumping good, being speedy, having the energy typical of a 12 yr old, being a weather sniffer, being nice, and having good instincts/constitution as a result of having eaten random grass and forest shit growing up...amazing.

is this gonna turn out to be one of those things where its like, wow theyve been using nen this whole time without realizing! tht would honestly explain a lot lmao

i really enjoy how like....semi-normal the power levels are rn? while also being all over the place and wack as fucks obvs (like hisoka dissolving that guys arms in his first appearance was A Lot, as well as all the card stuff hes done..). like the part wher that blue guys (evil franky one piece) punches the ground and it leaves a crater and everyones like !!!! wow wtf thats unnatural! that literally threw me off bc that kinda thing is so normal in anime lmaoooo. but i like that thats the starting point bc it leaves a lot of room for power escalation w/out it getting too out of hand

specifially our protags are starting out pretty low on the Shounen Badass scale - especially gon (and leorio, tho i kinda predict he wont be as fight-y? what with him being premed)

i find it kinda hilarious how killua hasnt done too much (aside from murdering those 2 randos in like half a second) despite being so clearly skilled...like when they have to do the 5v5 fight thing in the tower, i wouldve thought hed be the first up cause hes so badass but nope

actually thats what i find interesting - i was expecting all 5 (or maybe 4, we’re in the middle of leorio’s ‘fight’) of the fights to be physical smackdowns but so far nope, theyve been very cerebral. that bodes well, w/how smart the fights have been, bc i doubt the fights will get stale tht way

tho they might be kinda frustrating sometimes - there are times when u DO just wanna see a good ole fashioned shounen beatdown yknow. but we do get enough of that now (and im sure we’ll get plenty more) to satisfy (like kurapika decking fake-franky)

oh also the opening. its so charming and cute and i love the song...its also so hilariously basic and classic - like one of those typical 2000s anime openings where theres stock run cycles of all the main characters and theres a little animation of all the characters fighting together (and that fight doesnt actually happen, its just for the op)

also love that leorios the only one who doesnt fight in the OP, instead getting saved from death by gon lmao. im curious if he’ll end up fighting at all (i assume a little?) and if he’ll use nen (probably healing type nen?)

also i already wanna fistfight ging for abandoning his perfect angel son. also leorio is literally gons dad already, they even look alike wow

that guy hanzo has done basically 0 things so far but i rlly like him already, im curious if thatll change. also sorry for calling u ‘hanzo overwatch!?!?!?!’ upon first viewing my guy

tonpa is str8 up so annoying pls leave u pathetic loser

tho it cracked me up when he and Evil Mr Clean were facing off and starting getting all detailed/shaded and i was like o shit is he actually badass. are we abt to see like a nen battle or st. but no....lmaooo

i found it interesting that leorio didnt really admit to wanting to be a dr at first...hes such a good dude, he kinda just let kurapika think that his motives were superficial and greedy when in actuality theyre selfless

also wanting to be rich can be a rlly interesting character motivation and i love when its done right

oh my god i cant believe it took me this long to mention the hilariously edge ED....like holy shit, its so 2000s, the song sounds like its been re-recorded like 40000 times bc of how bad the audio quality is, or something, idk how to describe music but its hilariously specific in tone and its rlly funny to see shots of the main characters smiling while this screamo whatever plays in the bg....wow.

also s/o to killua for being king of edgy with that ‘tear of blood’ shot

i rlly like how much of the plot, especially the early hunter exam stuff, is moved along simply by gon being a good kind polite boy.

love the fact that he and leorio and kurapika (and later killua) all team up without even saying anything...i love that, most shounen would have them be like ‘che, i cant team up with anyone, i have to prove myself ALONE or my victory wont be EARNED’ or w/e idk. who knows that might happen later but rn i love how they all effortlessly work together (and how they all contribute - without each other they would have all failed at different points)

oh man also killuas first appearence was so funny when he drank a bunch of tonpas poisoned drinks and was like [smirks] tch, loser, im immune to poison. get dunked on. [skateboard away] i love him so fuckgin much

HOOOOLY FUCK I ALMOST FORGOT, BUT 65% OF THE REASON I MADE THIS POST WAS TO MENTION HISOKAS THEME LMAOOOOO his music being like fuckgin, spanish guitar/traditional mexican type music is sooooo goddamn funny to me for some reason, like the first time it played i was like ok whats going ON with this spanish guitar lmao but then i figured out that its his theme and god thats so funny

hisoka is also so fuckign jojo like he could so easily be in jojo. he and dio would be the fakest best friends ever and would constantly try to kill each other on the lowdown and shittalk each other constantly in private but be super sweet to each others faces. also they would hatefuck. no im not taking criticism bye

i rlly love everyones backstories also, and i find it interesting that weve gotten to hear/see at least some of all 4 of the MCs backstories. theyre all compelling and interesting and i cant wait to dive in further

also calling it now but kurapika is totally gonna get way too absorbed in revenge and get fucked up/disregard their own life (maybe in the style of robin in one piece?) we’ll see but i feel like it aint gonna end well. i could be wrong, i really havent been spoiled at all, thats just my guess

hbahjfbshjf the ep that was called ‘hisoka x is x sneaky’ was SO funny that reads like a dora the explorer ep title

also i had no idea the ep titles were formatted like that w/the x’s and thats rlly funny

ok but the part where leorio - who seems to be pretty bad at fighting - tries to fight hisoka - whose literal first appearence involved him effortlessly dissolving a dudes arms - is so fucking funny. leorio rlly b a premed w/no brain cells....same bro.

also i loved the Cutthroat Kitchen portion of the hunter exam and how not a single contestant was any good at it lmaoooo. do they not have the cooking channel in hxh-verse earth

ok i love how the main characters are all intuitive in different ways depending on their own skills, like how killua can immediately guess that kurapika has never killed anyone before after they didnt kill evil-franky

kurapika joined killua in the Edgy Corner during that part also. like, they both have legit reasons to be edgy, but the shots of kurapika sitting in the darker tunnel part was kinda funny

also killua, a literal 12 yr old, calling out kurapika for being a murder virgin was pretty hilarious

ok also i didnt know that madhouse animated hxh which is rlly funny but w/e i love the animation especially the occasional chibi parts and the facial expressions (like killuas ‘i love murder’ catboy expressions)

oh also when killua murdered those 2 guys and his hand was all vein-y and his nails were pointy, his hands looked like hisokas do...i wonder if thats a legit connection or it hisoka just b getting his nails did

kurapika talking abt how even seeing a regular spider makes them rlly angry was both very sad and kinda funny. kura u have so many issues god bless

kurapikas smackdown on evil blue franky was fuckin dope tho. and the red eyes reveal was SPOICY

rlly love how the individual fights highlights the characters strengths/morals/motivations/whatever....the writing is already really strong tbh

Favorite to least favorite SBR characters?

I’m going to try and list all the named good characters and ill have a separate list for antagonists too because yeehaw

Good Characters:

1. Gyro Zeppeli - one of my all time fav characters sorry nyall you cant beat him

2. Marco - my bby boy did nothing wrong. so sweet and hardworking even tried to fix that dudes cllar in jail like i lvoe him so much.

3. Johnny Joestar - i debated this one cause like i /do/ like him but also,,mostly cause hes attached to gyro. i do think he had the best character growth of any jojo and i love seeing fanart and fanfics with him and hes of course a part of my fav ships so imma put him up here

4. Hot Pants - one of the best main women characters araki has done (tho she was still treated gross :///) her story is great her motives are awesome great design just very good

5. Lucy Steel - deserved better than she got!!!! she was so brave so smart!! shes a cute lil girl too!! and her story and lov for steven is heartwarming she rocks

6. Nicholas joestar - i know he had like what 4 lines and died real early but like he was the only good person in jonis life theres so much good sibling potential there and he seems like a real sweetheart i never have the heart to kill him off even in aus cause hes just,,so good,,

7. Mountain Tim - listen,,,,ramranch,,,,,, no seriously i liked his character and the scenes he was in his stand ability is cool and his design and like honestly if it werent for his weird thing with lucy he’d be higher up

8. Steven Steel - helping the heros helping lucy making the whole race hes just!! a good guy!!! i liked seeing him and his lame puns bless

9. Pocoloco - i count him as a hero he was like never an adversary of the gang. his scenes were funny and i love his stand my fav stand ability wish i had great luck. he was cool and i wish araki did more with him

10. wekapipo - do like how he went from villain to hero team and i do like how he was able to showcase another side of the spin power since gyro was the only one who used the balls before him. feel like there could have been more done with him and i didnt feel as connected to him as the others.

Antagonists:

1. Sugar Mountain - best of the antagonist gave me the sugar mountain arc which is the best arc in sbr yes. shes also like the most innocent of the antagonists she jsut wanted her parents back they were cursed by that stand too. also disability rep with her being blind!!! i know the bar is so low but araki gave us two whole disabled characters that were treated with respect i like that

2. Soundman - deserved better!! i think his motivations and abilities were super cool. wish he came around to the heros side in the end but alas

3. Oyecomova - great song, great design, cool and deadly ability, i enjoyed the fight with him!

4. Dr ferdinand - the orginal dino man, preferred him with scary monsters, good opponent and smart, think his whole thing with respect is funyn cause it makes no sense at all but thats the point

5. magenta magenta - i know hes supposed to be gross and annoying but i found him kinda endearing when he wasnt fighting. do look foward to seeing his adaptation in the anime a lot. he also had some character growth to becoming a better opponent which is cool to see. dont like some of his gross tendecies but other than that hes p fun

6. DISCO - no personality literally said one line but like i admire that. cool stand and one of the more fun fights to read. also like the song hes named after

7. all the boom booms - liked their abilities!! dont remember much about their like personalities but i dont think it was that important for their part in the story

8. pork pie hat kid - his fight did give that hysterical scene with johnny punting that insect out from his hiding place but other than that meh his stand ability is kinda cool but his deisgn and name arent fun

9. Mrs. Robinson - insects?? i dont fux with that no thank you. had cool design tho and liked how he was a dude who used mrs

10. ringo roadagain - i mean he did give that great gyjo scene but other than that meh. coolish ability. his design isnt that great.

11. eleven men - cool ability! part of one of my arcs. their design is really weird tho and they had no personality so towards the bottom they go

12. mike o - honestly forgot he exists but that just makes him better than everyone under him cause everyone under him i just straight up dislike or hate

13. diego brando - hes certainly better than dio! but uh thats all hes got going for him. dinos are cool too and i do appreciate his backstory. used to like him a wee bit more but fandom made me hate him so here he goes

14. axl ro - honestly wouldnt dislike him if he didnt give me civil war aka one of the worst arcs in sbr if not the worst. his design is boring and i can't even rememebr if he had a backstory. his stand ability sucks too so here towards the bottom he goes.

15. blackmore - was just a weirdo the whole time and also killed one of my favs so like fuckhim

16. funny valentine - my least favorite villain like in all of jojo i wrote a post about him already you know
