I'm not arguing with you but do you have an example of a time when Dean had the least amount of authority in a situation that gets labeled as him being abusive?

the first one that comes to mind is this exchange in 4x22:

i've seen this labeled as emotional manipulation and/or abuse more than once. and, sure, if you remove any and all context i guess that's what it looks like. but what is actually happening is that dean is being held against his will by angels at the height of their power and the angel currently enforcing his imprisonment is castiel. dean has no power in this situation. castiel isn't even his friend yet. they're just two people who are sometimes on the same team and sometimes not. cas has all the power. and dean can't do anything about it. he can't leave. he can't talk to sam. he can't talk to anybody, except for castiel... the person with the power in this scenario.

dean "withholding his affections" (an actual argument i've seen) is not actually an abuse of power when 1. he has no power and 2. the other option is letting the angels use his brother to unleash hell on earth.
