Named after one of my favorite books and albums, Things Fall Apart is an epic tale of lust, greed, betrayal, vengeance and, above all else, growth.

This story never started as a legacy nor was it intended to be anything other than gameplay.  However, these characters evolved and, as such, so did their stories; each intertwined and forever impacted by the others. 

Written, played and photographed by The Watcher circa 2015. This story is best read/viewed on a laptop, tablet or PC.

This story has been a labor of love, writing is a hobby and so is gaming. Combining the two has helped me in ways I cannot put into words. I am thankful to you for enjoying this hobby with me. Writing urban fiction using the sims, for me, will forever be inspired by mochasims, rest in paradise, dear friend. Mocha created a community for Black storytellers where one didn't exist anywhere in the Sims Community and paved the way for other Black writers to follow with her epic tale of Men and Stilettos and of course Kasim's adventures!

I will be forever grateful for the safe space she created to tell real, Black ass stories. Much love sis.

Öğretmenler Günü Kutlu olsun..

Mysterious fliers appear all over the NRC campus. They read in beautiful, lurid calligraphy: 'Who is the fairest of them all? To whom shall the greatest prize be won? A kiss upon the lips to only the Fairest One's match. Who shall win?' A competition is set between Vil, Malleus, Leona, Cater, and...Idia (of all people) to see who's "the Fairest of Them All" and get a kiss from their secret "match," whoever that may be. Yuu enjoys watching the chaos from a safe distance.

Scarabia and Octavinelle are oddly left out. Despite Kasim's attempts to throw either himself or Jamil's name into the lot, Jamil diverts all attention away from their dorm. Ever the opportunist to make money, Azul starts a betting pool. No matter who wins in the end, he'll see a pretty profit regardless.

The staff are scratching their heads. Prof. Crewel is chomping at the bit to discover who's playing such a naughty prank (although he's curious to see who takes the blue ribbon). Prof. Trein is tired of these frivolities and just wishes for the students to get back to their studies. Prof. Vargas is supposed to be discouraging anything that involves the ridiculous contest but secretly has money on Leona winning (the strongest survive after all). Azul isn't the only one making profit. Sam is making bank selling merch including cheesy t-shirts with the faces and names of the "contestants" and read: "Team Vil," "Team Malleus," etc. Headmaster Crowley is beside himself...as he hides away from the press who've caught wind of the glorified beauty contest.

Rook is the center of Vil's campaign. He's designing all of the posters, banners, buttons, pins, and balloons, all bearing Vil's name and face. There will be glitter involved. Epel is dragged into Rook's shenanigans. Vil ups the ante with his makeup. He arrives everywhere on time and fashionable. His uniform is as sharp as his cut crease. Oh, but that smile is plastered on nearly 24/7. He keeps his bitchy attitude tapered down to appear more appealing to the widest demographic to secure his position of Fairest of Them All. You could do just about anything to him and he'd smile and accept it, even if behind that placid look he's probably thinking about homicide. Anything to win that title.

Malleus literally has no idea what's going on. This was the first time he's invited to something, and he doesn't have a clue. Sebek takes it upon himself to build a campaign to secure the title for the glory of his future king. Silver tags along only to make sure Sebek doesn't over do it. Lilia is utterly delighted and helps make campaign merch, though he's mostly in it for the chaos.

Leona couldn't give less of a shit about the "dumb beauty contest." Fairest of Them All was something for those prissy little rich kids from Pomefiore to fight about. He, Ruggie, and Jack have a good laugh at the other dorms participating in ridiculous displays of "campaigning" for their champions. Leona puts zero effort into making himself look good, appearance wise and in personality. Granted if over-blotting didn't fix his attitude, nothing would. Leona couldn't stand the fact that his name was on the same list as Malleus, but he wasn't going to make himself look a fool like the overgrown lizard. All that changed when polls started to appear with mysterious figures. Malleus was in the lead with Leona behind even Idia! Well, that's not going to fly, is it?

Heartslaybul shows their full support of Cater. Riddle sets strict rules so that while the dorm, and Cater, can participate in the shenanigans, it cannot disrupt studies. Trey helps with the campaign by baking pastries and sweets and essentially bribing students to pick Cater. Ace wants to pretend all of this is a stupid game, but secretly wants to be the one picked from his dorm instead of Cater. He tends to make a stink about it and his jealousy is quite visible. Deuce, as usual, doesn't really know what's going but is happy to support Cater in any way he can. Cater's use of Magicam explodes. He's taking tasteful selfies any chance he gets, always tagging them as #trulythefairest and #votecater♦️

Idia, on the other hand, is mortified. He spends all his time he normally would have spent gaming trying to find out who's behind this terrible practical joke. Ortho helps rather than hinder the campaign to make his big brother the Fairest of Them All. He somehow managed to snatch good candid pictures of Idia and edits them before posting them to Magicam. #VoteIdia. All of this is done to the chagrin and horror of Idia.

Todd Rundgren at Andrew J. Brady Music Center, Cincinnati, Ohio, April 24, 2024

Todd Rundgren had nothing to say besides Thank you and We love you, Cincinnati at the end of the gig on Wednesday night in the Queen City. The typically talkative musician instead let a career-spanning collection of deep cuts handle communications with his audience, which on April 24 filled about half of the Andrew J. Brady Music Center’s 2,800 seats.

The Me/We tour is one for the faithful, with long-dormant tracks such as 1995’s subdued “Beloved Infidel” and novelties like 2004’s “Stood Up” returning to the setlist for the first time in ages. “Down with the Ship,” Rundgren’s 2022 joint with Rivers Cuomo, meanwhile, is just getting its sea legs and the goofy sea shanty works well alongside the eclectic sonic smorgasbord that found Rundgren conducting synth strings and soprano sax with a baton on the balladic “Kindness” from 1991, playing a searing guitar solo on 2000’s “Buffalo Grass” and proving his compositional prescience on the now entirely relevant rap-rocker “Fascist Christ” from 1993.

In a nod to any casual fans who may have attended, Rundgren began the encore with the first half of “I Saw the Light” segued into the bridge of “Can We Still be Friends?,” which led into the coda of “Hello it’s Me” before the dramatic fan favorite “The Last Ride” and “A Dream Goes on Forever” ended the gig.

Backed by five long-time compatriots - bassist Kasim Sulton and drummer Prairie Prince; Bobby Strickland on keyboards, woodwinds and programming; keyboardist Gil Assayas; and guitarist Bruce McDaniel - Rundgren played 24 songs over 125 minutes, as the black-clad band was bathed in white, red, blue, green and yellow hues from a generous light show that augmented the selections flawlessly.

Strong visuals notwithstanding, sublime audio, from the band and the venue’s sound system, was the focus. Drawing from more than one-dozen solo and Utopia albums connecting 1972’s Something/Anything? to 2022’s Space Force, Rundgren, per his wont, also covered a diverse stylistic template, as he switched from lead guitarist to band leader who paced the lip of the stage sans instrument and tossed in some EDM in the form of “Flesh & Blood” from 2015’s Global for good measure.

Opening with 1974’s ethereal “I Think You Know,” Rundgren celebrated the nature of his fanatical followers on Utopia’s 1985 dance track “Secret Society” before showing off his grimy guitar and gritty growl on 2008’s “Weakness.”

The initial triptych set the evening’s tone as Rundgren, 75, used his deepened voice to bring the songs into the present while the band provided the backgrounds that tied them to their era. To that end, Sulton and McDaniel joined Rundgren around a single mic for the a cappella “Honest Work,” which hushed any grabbers in the house, and “Hawking” came off as a hybrid metaphysical worship service thanks to the veritable choir and a soaring saxophone solo from Strickland. The passage of time seemed to be a loose theme of the Me/We tour as Rundgren plumbed his discography for songs that explore the unknowable to come up with such tracks as “Lost Horizon” (1985), “Afterlife” and “God Said” from 2004 and “Worldwide Epiphany,” the 1993 celebration of figuring it all out.

The latter got the audience on their collective feet where they remained until the show ended.

#3 What were your top five books of the year?

I didn't read a lot of books this year so it feels a bit weird to make a top five out of ten books. But here are some books I loved reading: Tears In The Water by Margherita Scillia, Fifteen Hundred Miles From The Sun by Jonny Garza Villa, Beating Heart Baby by Lio Min and Lark and Kasim start a Revolution by Kacen Callender. They're all YA (except for Tears In The Water, I think), all queer and all of them made my heart very very happy.

#6 Was there anything you meant to read, but never got to?

So so so much!! The biggest one is One For All by Lillie Lainoff, which has chronic illness representation that I'm very excited to read. Others are Foul Lady Fortune by Chloe Gong and her newer releases. But I always need some time to get into fantasy. And all of Taylor Jenkins Reed books, since I absolutely adored The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo. This year I mostly read YA contemporary and I'll try to read other stuff next year. It takes more but the reward is big.

#24 Did you DNF anything? Why?

No I haven't DNF'ed anything in years. In my head it's just not really an option not to finish a book. And besides, most of the books I don't enjoy I read for school so I have to finish them anyway.

Tillman pushes his plate of toast toward Kasim. Without a word, Kasim offers up his slices of bacon, the pieces already covered in maple syrup.

They’ve been doing this for weeks. Tillman wonders when it became so routine for them. Kasim butters slices of wheat (When did Tillman start ordering wheat toast? Probably after the first time Kasim mentioned it was his favorite.) toast and slathers them with a thick layer of local blackberry jam.

Tillman chews the slices of bacon slowly. Crisped to perfection. Crisper than Kasim himself likes. And the maple-bacon flavor makes Tillman’s mouth water, even with the last slice devoured. He gives a careful lick to the fur around his fingers, then a wipe on the napkin. Can’t have his fur matting up.

“Do you have a summer coat?” Kasim asks. “We’ll have to brush you out.”

“Outside,” Tillman agrees. “Otherwise it’ll get everywhere and we’ll need to lint-roll every piece of furniture in the apartment.”

“Or you could come over to my house,” Kasim offers. “Big backyard. Gets lots of sun.”

“I might like that.”

Kasim nibbles the slices of toast thoughtfully, not quite meeting Tillman’s stare.

“I’ll, uh, need help getting that spot between my shoulders.”

“I think I know the one.”

They share a smile over their shared breakfast.

Artvin'in Şavşat ilçesi, Ziyaret Köyünde dünyaya geldi. 24 yaşındaydı Üniversite okuyordu Eğitim Fakültesini bitirmek üzereydi 2.Öğretim olduğundan akşamları okula gündüzleri de Kocaeli-Hereke ilçesinde bir Akaryakıt istasyonun da çalışıyordu. Çok yardım sever bir gençti. Kazandığını Ocak’ta ihtiyacı olan gençlere verirdi. Bu sebepten dolayı uzun zaman köyüne dahi gidemezdi.

OLAY GÜNÜ

İhtilalden sonra ki günlerde yine İstasyonda çalıştığı sırada Komünist militanlarının çalıştığı iş yerine soyguna gelmesi sonucu ve silahlarını kullanmaları neticesinde vücudunun çeşitli yerlerine aldığı kurşunlar neticesi olay yerinde şehit düştü. Cenazesi Artvin'in Şavşat ilçesi ziyaret Köyünde toprağa verildi.
