Thanks for the ask! 💙

First impression: Loved him. I think I found him a little bit annoying, but in a good way, of course.

Impression now: I somehow love him even more. I still can't believe the writers just wrote him and Bobbi out because they were such great characters. He deserved to stay even just for comedic relief, because God knows the team needed a laugh sometimes, and so did we.

Favorite moment: When he shows up in prison to "talk to his client" in season 5. That was so iconic because not only was it a great entrance, but also such a relief to see a familiar face in that situation, especially if said familiar face has a hilarious dynamic with Fitz. That was obviously written for the fans, so I have no complaints. Honourable mentions to when he punches the guy from the ATCU without so much as a second thought, when he rants about Bobbi in 2.04 pretending he's not in love with her, and when he goes undercover as an obnoxious IT guy.

Idea for a story: This is not my idea, but I need to know what happened when he and Bobbi almost got married again between seasons 3 and 5. What do you mean "the ninjas showed up"? This had so much potential, but I think the fact that he never explained makes it funnier. Is it a weird metaphor for something? Did some ninjas actually attack them right before the wedding? Are the ninjas some friends who didn't think they should get married? We'll never know.

Unpopular opinion: I've seen somewhere that Most Wanted was a bad idea from the start, and I'm here to tell you that's wrong. I think it's a tragedy that it got cancelled, because can you imagine the potential? A spinoff of the best show on Earth? Our favourite problematic spy couple on the run breaking the law and causing problems? How is that a bad idea. Even if the script was bad and the plot was bad and everything was bad, it's still extra screentime for two awesome characters. If nothing else, we all know he would have had hilarious one liners, and I would have loved to watch it.

Favorite relationship: Huntingbird. Yes, I know he and Bobbi had a LOT of issues, but that just makes it funnier. Their bickering was on point, and the way he so was so obviously down bad for her the minute the words "demonic hell beast" left his mouth is so pathetic and hilarious. On a more serious note, the way they worked together as agents was great. While they may not have always trusted each other, they always had faith in the other's capabilities to do a good job in the field and stay alive ("Don't die our there"). They worried, sure, but they didn't try to keep the other out of danger Fitzsimmons style because they knew they could handle things, and for the most dysfunctional relationship of the show, that was pretty healthy. As for platonic relationship, Fitz. All they had in common was the fact that they were sassy Brits with serious relationship issues, and that was somehow enough to form a great dynamic. I loved all their little moments in 2.04, especially when Fitz talked about his crush on Jemma in the weirdest, most uncomfortable, and out of context way, and Hunter just went along with it and comforted him.

Favorite headcanon: At some point watching season 6 I decided it was stupid that they hadn't returned to SHIELD, so in my head they did. It just didn't make sense that they still had to live a life on the run when SHIELD was a legitimate organisation again, especially when the new director was their best friend who could have pulled some strings to have them there. It would have been so cool to see them again, not to mention it would have been very helpful for the team. And can you imagine Hunter's reaction at seeing Sarge? If anyone could have added some levity to the situation, I know it's him.

Writing this made me remember how much I love and miss him. Please send me more!

Below is my ranking of the Season Two episodes from "SANDITON", the ITV adaptation of Jane Austen's unfinished novel. Adapted by Andrew Davies, the limited series starred Rose Williams, Crystal Clarke and Ben Lloyd-Hughes:

RANKING OF "SANDITON" SEASON TWO (2022) EPISODES

1. (2.04) "Episode 4" - Tension mounts when old enemies, estate owner Alexander Colbourne and Colonel Francis Lennox, rivals for Charlotte Heywood’s hand; reunite at Lady Denham's garden party. Heiress Georgiana Lambe learns a vital piece of information. Sir Edward Denham attempts to exploit the pregnancy predicament of Lady Denham’s disgraced niece, Clara Brereton.

2. (2.06) "Episode 6" - In the season finale, Charlotte's younger sister Alison Heywood prepares to leave Sanditon with her dreams of romance fading. Charlotte ponders her future. Georgiana learns shocking truths when Sidney Parker's belongings from Antigua are returned. Esther, Lady Babbington faces a bleak future as Edward's schemes against her come to fruition.

3. (2.01) "Episode 1" - Season Two begins with Charlotte returning to Sanditon to find employment and with Alison in tow. 4. (2.05) "Episode 5" - Colonel Lennox and Colbourne's rivalry over Charlotte comes to a head at the Sanditon ball. Georgiana makes a decision that will impact her future. Edward's manipulation of Esther takes a dark turn.

5. (2.02) "Episode 2" - Charlotte starts her new job as governess for Colbourne’s niece and daughter, Augusta Markham and Leonora Colbourne. Alison is determined to be reunited with her new beau, Captain William Carter. Lady Denham receives an unexpected surprise with Clara’s return to Sanditon. Colonel Lennox throws a dinner party.

6. (2.03) "Episode 3" - Resort founder Tom Parker gets ready for Sanditon's annual fair amidst rumors that the soldiers have not been paying their debts in town. Alison falls for Captain Carter, unaware that he is wooing her under false pretenses. Clara seeks Esther's help. Edward hatches his plan against the latter.

What were your top 3 favorite season 3 moments?

Y’know what, anon? This season’s had it’s issues for sure, but this ask has totally made me realise how many truly standout moments the season’s had overall, and how many moments I’ve really, really loved this season.

I’ve ended up choosing one with each of the girls for my top three, but I’ve sort of cheated and included a ridiculously long list of honourable mentions at the end too, haha.

But yes! Top three!

Annie spreads Marion’s ashes (3.08)

I talk a lot about the face acting on this show, because it’s genuinely unreal across the board and may or may not have ruined me for every other show on the planet, but man, the scene of Annie spreading Marion’s ashes is that face acting at it’s finest.

Mae is so. good in this scene, and you really feel the culmination of Annie’s grief and her guilt, her insecurity and her humiliation and her frustrations in a way that just tears your heart out. Annie’s often a character who’s her own worst enemy, and I think this season has really underlined that, so to see that manifest through her trying to do right by an old friend is really powerful on a character, narrative and thematic level. I love it, and it hurts.

Ruby and Stan’s anniverary (3.08).

One of the things this show does so well is move from moments of pure, unadulterated joy to the most sprawling, far-reaching of anguishes, and I don’t think it’s ever done it better than Ruby and Stan going from singing Salt’n’Pepper’s Push It to their fight about who it is they are now that they’ve done what they’ve done. I have a much longer post in my drafts about how this season has brilliantly and bitterly been about Stan and Ruby’s moral realignment, but it comes to a painstaking head in this scene.

They want to be better for each other, always, but they also just want for each other, and Stan’s slip into crime to provide for Ruby parallels perfectly with Ruby’s slip in s1 to provide for their daughter, and it hurts, because they’re right. They are good people who just do bad things, but if that’s the case, then they have to face what that means for their individual and collective identity.

Also Reno’s line delivery of why? when Ruby says one of them has to be good is one of the best line deliveries on a show full of amazing line deliveries.

Rio watches Beth make money (3.04).

I just love everything about this scene. The eroticism, the tension, the time, the music, the cinematography, the acting, just - - all of it. It’s such an effective scene at this point in the story and it’s balanced so well by Manny and Christina’s forever palpable chemistry and the weight they give to not just to the moment itself, but their relationship and the act of him watching her work. There’s a parallel to be drawn here not just in the love scene in 2.09, which I talked about in this post, but with Dean snidely watching her sell cars in 2.04.

Even when these two are at their absolute worsts, they respect each other’s capabilities and opinions too much to ever let it go, and if that doesn’t encapsulate these two nightmares, I don’t know what does.

Honourable mentions go to:

- the introduction of Paper Porcupine in 3.01 which was pretty much as perfect an establishment of a new key location as I’ve ever seen (god, it seamlessly introduced the place, Beth’s role in it, Lucy and the dual function it served in Beth’s life in about four minutes).

- while I didn’t particularly like the overall storyline, I actually love the scene where Annie and Dr. Josh first meet.

- Rio and Beth at the bar!!!! Every time!! Every bar!!!!

- Literally every single Sara and Ruby scene this season has been *chef kissy hands*.

- Dean cutting the money plate and telling Beth Rio’s in love with her!!!!

- The Au Jus kidnapping and hostage photos!!

- Beth and Rio’s conversation on the picnic table in 3.06 after Lucy’s death where Beth tries to talk to him about Max and he tells her she’s just work again while being a blatant lying liar!!!

- Ruby going to the bat for Stan with the board over his suspension in 3.06!!

- Every JT and Annie moment!!!!

- Stan and Ruby loved up in bed fantasising about what they want to do for their anniversary in 3.08!!

- The I Feel Pretty montage at the start of 3.09!

- The carwash scene in 3.10!!

- Mr. Fitzpatrick asking Beth how she got involved with Rio in 3.10!!!

- The Annie and Ben study montage in 3.10!!

So many scenes! So good!
