#Don't get me wrong; zero shade towards my shapeshifters who are very 'obviously' shifters (Jake; Amethyst; etc.)#But smth about those where you realistically *couldn't tell* you're dealing with a copycat just hit different for me #Of course they tend to have obvious visual e.g. tells for the audience; but those often either don't exist within canon or I can ignore #And when even *we* can't tell? Even better!a #Also Spy counts as an honourary shifter. Considering I put a dragon in the gem, and you can't make out half of the details I put in at full size, here:

even with a closeup you can hardly see that I did make the corset tie cording and a velvet texture for the corset panels... (anyway I love the look of contrasting boning channels and I have far too much knowledge on corset making to be normal about it)

NOTE: THIS IS NOT SPINEL’S CANON FACET NUMBER. However, since she does not have a canon one, I decided to make one myself. Loosely using a facet/cut method I found on Amino, I created one for our beloved Spinel! (Once again, at the end of Chapter 3, PIC Spinel will be getting an official codename/nickname, so it will fit better when I talk about her facet number and nickname – for now I’ll just refer to it as PIC Spinel’s facet number instead of Canon Spinel’s XDD)

Spinel is getting reeeeal frustrated with Gingersnap and Snickerdoodle now, but she’s keeping it to herself. After all, she knows what its like to do nothing but stand still for thousands of years – there’s only so much you can do to get entertainment. One of these things is annoying the crap out of gems just going about their business XDD

But on another note, we’re nearly inside the armoury!!! Only two more pages before we get to see the interior ^^
