Quick Character Analysis-Thing on Spinel

OKAY SO I FOUND THIS OLD ESSAY I SENT TO MY GROUP CHAT BACK IN DECEMBER OF 2022 AND I THINK I WAS ONTO SOMETHING HERE -

Transcript: okay, so, Spinel mentions multiple times (a few times in Other Friends, a few times throughout the movie and the start of Change) that she is "the loser of the game" (the game being, of course, Pink telling her to wait in the garden). BUT. I JUST REALISED. Spinel's redemption song is the beautiful and romantic duet with Steven in the garden. It's the song that turns her into a good guy, the song that makes her realise she is worth something, that she never did wrong, that she can change. The song is called "FOUND". I just realised something. Spinel spends SOOO long trying to "win" the game that she lost. "I'm the loser of the game you didn't know you were playing" right?? She LOST the game. She LOST everything. She wants to WIN back everything that she LOST. The opposite of LOST is WON, right? Well yeah, it is. But consider this. There's another opposite. The opposite of LOST is also FOUND. * drops mic *

Hi! :) Sorry to ask you this, but you're the only SU blog that I know is Stevinel related and is still active. Is the fandom for these two still alive? I used to post headcanons and reblog art for them, but "reasons", I erased it and left the online fandom, and just kept doing things for myself, but I would love to open a blog again, if people is still up for the ship. Love your comic!!

To be honest, the Stevinel fandom is a LOT smaller than it used to be (heck, the SU fandom in general is a lot smaller now that the show's been over since 2020), but I can confirm it is not dead!!! I still see the odd drawing and fic about these two pop up around the place, and I'm friends with quite a few Stevinel shippers on Discord (if you have Discord I would recommend my own server so you can feel free to share your headcanons and things there whenever you like!!!)

But Tumblr is free, remember? You can post and share WHATEVER you like, no shame!!! I am ALWAYS up for this ship (and behind the scenes I am still working on more Stevinel fics and art, other than PIC!!!) and I know that many of my followers are too!! So go ham, do whatever you like - I am happy to support you all the way!!! ^^

Great news!!! This morning, I finally got a brand new laptop - and so I'm officially back online for good!!!

Now I can continue my script, post on Tumblr, DA and Discord, and most importantly...

I CAN BEGIN CHAPTER THREE!!! (but i will need a bit more time to get the pages ready, of course... ;^^ so unfortunately, there's still a bit more waiting to be done!)

But overall, no bad news at all from my end!!! Hope you all had a lovely Christmas, and I'm very grateful for those of you who reblogged and liked my Christmas celebration picture from last year ^w^ So sweet to see you guys interacting with my blogs even when I was inactive!!!

THE LINK SENDS YOU TO BAD TIME SIMULATOR???????????

Have you ever had the urge to draw your characters in a style you've never tried before... and really really liked the outcome??? XDDD

I've never attempted a 'chibi' style before!!! These two are of course my beloved gem OCs, Condor Agate and 83 <333 I got inspiration for the style from Google, but honestly it was very hard finding a chibi-styled reference picture for dreadlocks. I kinda winged it a little bit for 83... and I'm pretty satisfied with how it came out!!!

I will absolutely be doing more in the future, maybe even of Steven and Spinel!!! Although to be fair I might wait until Steven gets his full character design in Chapter 9... I guess I could do both his current one and his future one later on ^^
