I don’t mind if this is MxF or MxM but I will ONLY be writing a male character. Trans/nb characters are welcome.

I’m currently craving something set in Edo Japan, with elements of mythology and spirits incorporated into the plot. Folktales and legends being born of reality, and while they aren’t common the everyday person can encounter them. I’m not too strict with historical accuracy, but would certainly like some realism.

My characters will be fleshed out through chatter and the plot but I have two basic premises: one is a kitsune spirit, and the other would be a monster hunting ronin. I write switches. I’ll explain more in detail in private since this is getting long enough.

Exact plots can be brainstormed together in private depending on your character, but I love the idea of two opposites or unlikely allies traveling together. Whether it is money, a blood debt, or supernatural forces at play they’re stuck together for the foreseeable future. I’m happy to hear yours and spin something unique.

Connection: exes, old friends, former fellow gang member/outlaw, former rival outlaw

Plot: After taking care of a shootout, Cloyd finds your muse hiding from the chaos. He's got them on the ground, tying their hands, and when he sees their face.. he realizes it's an old acquaintance.

"What in the.." The Sheriff's brow furrowed. The man beneath him was supposed to be another redneck moron who thought they were a gunslinger. It wasn't supposed to be them.

Cloyd swallowed, and he swallowed hard. His past was back to haunt him, and he ain't even sure the other man was able to recognise him just yet, not with their face in the sand.

What the Hell was he supposed to do? Let them go? Tie 'em up and take them to the station? He was so stuck in his own head that he was too late to realize how they were staring at him from the corner of their eye.

"Don't move a God damn muscle." He growled at them, their wrists caught in his firm grip, as he now returned to the process of tying them up.. but it was too late now.

"McCarty?" They grunted at him.

i’m looking specifically for realistic historical ocxoc plots! i’m not picky about historical accuracy but i’d prefer realism over explicit fantasy.

i write all kinds of ships, mlm, mlw, wlw with a slight preference for writing men. however, i would love to try writing a woman, especially if we double up. ❤️ additionally, i’m looking for ocs with character! i don’t do the whole d/s as defining personality traits thing, and definitely prefer switch characters over hard tops or bottoms. smut is a-okay, but requires a us writing with each other a bit, first.

i want complicated character dynamics, period-typical drama, and all the juicy juicy things we can come up with!! also, i would love for us to create characters for this rp, so no pre-established ones pls.

period wise, i’d love something in the ancient mediterranean area (yes i’m just replaying ac odyssey lol) or medieval european! the renaissance and the early modern period are also things i’d be interested in exploring.

additionally, things like seafaring/age of sail, cowboys, courtly intrigue, survival are all things we can discuss about incorporating.

💤 Hey! I'm 24 and looking for anyone 18+ interested in a M×M ww2 roleplay. I'm obsessed with the idea of two young soldiers finding solace in one another in the darkest times. My character is a big softie, but definitely already knows he's gay before the war. He keeps it a secret of course and maybe tries to distance himself from your character as they're growing closer. l'm a sucker for lots of angst and confusing feelings, maybe one of them has a fiance at home or something. I'd love to develop it to after the war when together they're trying to move on from everything they've been through, the PTSD and the hurt/comfort that follows will be impeccable.

I'm not a huge fan of the whole top / bottom dynamic so please just bring a switch character and we don't have to make that their entire personalities. NSFW isn't even a necessity, I don't mind leaving it out or including it. Please be willing to contribute during the plotting stage. I like descriptive replies, but am happy with any length as long as it gives me something to work with. I like a slow burn, let's have our characters develop over time. I write on discord. 🕊 hey! 21+, an experienced advanced literate - novella writer here searching for someone to write with and urgently craving a dark, horror - supernatural roleplay. at the moment, i have several ideas in mind;

(recently developed a small obsession with all things to do with folk horror hehe) a gothic-western / southern gothic setting. in which muse A, a detective, travels deep into the desert [or whatever region we decide on!] to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a group of teenagers. their tracks lead the detective to a small, eerie, and heavily religious town—whose people detest outsiders and behave cult-like… and they all seem to adore muse B, the pastor. only, he is not what he seems. what is the twist here? perhaps there is something more evil/supernatural going on, and it turns out the pastor was the inhuman source of it all, even taking sacrifices? let’s plot together!

it is a world where the ancient gods are openly recognized and worshipped. however, with continuous advancements and breakthroughs, mortals have begun to believe that they don’t need the protection or the influence of these deities anymore. muse A is one of them; a scientist who gives lectures discrediting/scorning the gods. only for muse B, one of the gods, to attend a lecture of muse A’s out of morbid curiosity to see what the fuss is all about, and that’s where it all begins. perhaps muse B is enamored right away, or simply hates them and everything they stand for—they become determined to show muse A just how great the gods are, how powerful, until that determination becomes yearning, and soon darkens into twisted obsession with the mortal.

because of unfavorable circumstances, muse A has no choice but to move in with a relative they’ve never met before—a wealthy, secluded uncle who has little interaction with the outside world. it is not long, however, before muse A discovers that the only reason their uncle took them under his wing is because his family made a vow to an influential family of vampires long ago; that he’d compensate them for having wronged them in some way in the past. now the time has come, and the compensation is a bride for the eldest son of the family—muse B.

muse A, a diplomatic envoy, is hosted by the royals of a foreign kingdom/empire—the twist here is that the envoy is actually an elite assassin sent to murder muse B, the ruler. only for the ruler develops a dangerous obsession with the envoy and refuses to let them return to their homeland.

a setting loosely based on ancient china / east asia: in which muse A, a princess, is forced to marry muse B, the head of a nomadic empire [inspired by the mongols/the huns], in order to bring peace.

a grim setting inspired by WWI - WWII, a world where humans are the inferior race—living in a perpetual state of poverty, suffering, etc.—and the tiny, elite portion of society is composed of wealthy vampires. muse A, a spy, is sent to work as a nurse for a high-ranking officer’s disabled wife.

i prefer to write muse A! mxf pairing preferred, in which i write f.

worldbuilding, tropes, pinterest boards, playlists, dead dove and dark themes [such as elements of power imbalance, toxic/unhealthy dynamics, obsession/yandere, etc.] are all heavily welcomed!! i might ask you for a little self-intro and a writing sample, or what ideas you have in mind for your muse (if you don’t already have an oc you’d like to use!) to get to know you better as a writer and make sure we’re compatible. like if you’re interested in any of these prompts and I’ll reach out! 🫶

While I'm not actively seeking NSFW/Smut content, I'm open to it if it naturally arises within the plot and pushes the story on. However, I'm not particularly inclined towards writing overly detailed scenes of that nature solely for the sake of it.

My OC: 40-year-old male, middle-class, relatively unassuming man who has either gone quite mad or become quietly possessed by a dark entity – the fun lies in not really knowing. He has a penchant for the finer things in life and seeks to obtain them by any means possible. Enjoying things that polite society rejects, such as debauchery, blood, and occasional murder, he also has a soft spot for books, exquisite furnishings, and lavish interiors.

He has connections to the world of spiritualism and fraudulent mediumship and won't hesitate to exploit grieving widows for financial gain. Predominantly enjoying the company of gentlemen, he's also been known to seduce women, especially for monetary reasons.

Plot: While I have a vague idea for a plot, it largely depends on your OC, and I'd love to develop it further with the right person. The basic premise revolves around my OC leading your OC astray and into an underground world far removed from what they were used to. I believe my OC would match best with another who is somewhat headstrong, upper class, curious, and innocent to the dark aspects of life he has grown accustomed to.

Interested in exploring themes such as angst, horror, gore, violence, paranormal, and even delving into hurt/comfort and perhaps some fluff depending on where the story goes. I have no specific limits; I simply want to create a compelling and plot-driven narrative.

Please be moderately literate and comfortable with writing in the third person, past tense. Additionally, I prefer the use of real FCs over those that are illustrated. Happy to chat OOC; I'm really chill and down to earth, so if interested, give this post a like, and I'll reach out.

hello ! i’m a 21 year old (f) college student looking for a couple of long-term roleplay partners (19+), who are interested in exploring historical plots !!

a little bit about me:

my writing style consists of adv.literate to novella prose through third-person POVs, and i would prefer for my partners to write similarly ! though that’s not to say that i’m averse to rapid fire, more literate-style writing either, as i’m a bit rusty and need to ease back into my old groove :,).

as for pairings, i’m generally very flexible in terms of the types of relationships & genders i like to portray & often vie for multiple characters when given the chance !! i would also prefer for my partners to be the same. however, if or when romance comes into play i am strictly F/F & F/M oriented.

with all of that in mind however, i’m a bit of a slow writer & i want to make that VERY clear ! i do work part-time & i’m about to get back to juggling a hefty course load — BUT i hope with some new inspiration/plots, i’ll be able to increase in frequency !! i’m also very patient in terms of ooc/posting for my partners (& ghost-friendly), so there’s never any real rush !! i just ask that we share the same sentiment :)).
