fiddling around with making my ocs in the sims! here are aurele, manon, and nicolo, c. 1790-something
i have zero cc in my game for this period because i wasnt planning on making them, so rel and nic's outfits are especially anachronistic. may go cc shopping to fix this but there's so little 1790s cc...
manon is the daughter of a french noble family caught on the wrong side of the revolution, so she runs away to italy and gets taken in by nicolo's family. aurele ends up being their tutor & very much a father figure to the both of them
i may someday actually write their story, so i will refrain from spoiling too much right now...

Ok, So i was tagged by @cowplant-chronicles to do some numbers of the Historical Gameplay Ask Game so... here we go.
3. What is your favorite decade/era to play?
To play anything from 1750-1790 and 1900 to 1920's. Both have different settings and rules and we kinda have CC to back up everything easily. Also, Prehistory... with my own VERY HARD rules.
14. Do you play with money cheats or “rags to riches” style?
Rags to Riches all the way up, when you have all the money it becomes boring fast, dont matter if you are playing with an upper class family. Besides my modified History Challenge all poor and Rich families came from the ground. And i like it that way.
18. What do you struggle with most in historical gameplay?
Not finding that exact mod or piece of CC that you need. Like i dont want them to take out their phones in the middle of 1640 or taking a black plastic umbrella in 1780. That breaks the inmmersion so easily.

God help us – for art is long and life is short! (Faust: First Part, written by Johann Wolfgang Goethe and published in 1808)
hiiii heres the first part of what will (hopefully!!!) be a series of western women's fashion from 1800 to today. obviously, not all women looked like this or dressed like this. in fact, most didn't - these are largely going to be looks worn by women of a higher socioeconomic class, at least until maybe the 1880s. this is for a few reasons, mostly being, uh... availability of cc. i'd love to MAKE some historical cc but my laptop won't run blender. another reason is that the fashion of the upper classes is typically better recorded than that of lower classes, especially before the advent and popularization of photography. i'm just rambling now.
anyway! the first part: 1800-1809. we see the opulence of the georgians cling onto fashion in bows, feathers, and jewels. we also see the rise of waistlines to the iconic empire waist, and the influences of neoclassical aesthetics in fashion. hairstyles in particular were emulating those of the ancient greeks, also pulling a bit from the stuarts. this decade also allows me to share one of my favorite tidbits of fashion history: the coiffure à la titus! for a short time in the 1790s through the 1810s, some women (french women especially) took to cutting their hair short and choppy. the reasons range from inspiration taken from a popular play at the time, to symbolizing solidarity with women executed via guillotine. some men at the time thought that having short hair was actually hazardous to women's health, so while the titus cut wasn't the norm, it was widespread enough to cause quite a storm!
you'll notice that 1806 is missing. that's because the dress i used, uh... completely messed up the arms and i did not notice until i was making the gif. if you wanna see it, it'll be under the cut.

hiii! thank you so much, and yes, eventually I am going to make Victorian cc. I make things I find useful for my Sims story which is currently in 1818 but there are flashbacks and I needed cc for that (hence Baroque stuff, 1790s, and my next set I'll release which will be 1720s-1740s themed). I'm currently not making male cc for the rest of the 1810s, as I feel like the stuff already released can cover 1818 and 1819 for me. when I get to the end of December 1819 I'm going to take a break and make all 1820s cc I find useful. I will repeat this process with every decade, so in December of 1829 I'll make all 1830s cc I find useful and etc. Eventually, I will get to the Victorian era, but for now, I just make things I find useful. On Pinterest, I have fashion plates organized by year from the 1800s to the 1880s so far and I take cc inspo from them (this is just an excuse to show my unhinged obsession with Pinterest)

welcome to valdez alaska. named in 1790 after the spanish navy minister antonio valdes y fernandez bazan. valdez was a former gold rush town before it was officially incorporated in 1901. with a population of almost 4000 people living in the city, valdez has become one of the most important ports in alaska. the city was the perfect place for supernaturals to settle, a town that wouldn’t draw too much attention to them. where people come to experience lively memories of their time and develop connections with the people. although things were far from perfect for the supernaturals, often fighting over territory, who was there first, who the land belonged to, and it lead to feuds between the species. after a period of time the six factions of the town, the vampires, the two werewolf packs, the witches, the angels, and the fallen reached an agreement.
