I like 16 Dazai using every little oportunity he has to be clingy with Chuuya. Pulling the boy's head onto his shoulder whenever they're on the subway heading back to Yokohama after an exhausting mission, holding his hand every time they're walking next to each other even though Chuuya might not notice and just let it happen, hugging him tightly to "annoy him", but he just knows this is what he needs.

Stormbringer soukoku lets get it. This is a scene from page 299, ill paste it below.

He turned his back to Chuuya and began walking toward the hatchway, leaving Chuuya behind.

Dazai's eyes were fixed on the pocket watch. Two more minutes. Nowhere near enough time to decide how to live the rest of one's life, but that was all the time they could spare. Dazai's mind was already forming a backup plan at an incredible pace just in case Chuuya decided not to go through with this.

He walked six steps until he reached the hatchway, then began to descend. Right as he had made his way down three steps, he heard a refreshing clank from behind. It sounded like someone had just leaped off a metal plank.

The moment Dazai realized what the sound was, he looked back in surprise.

There was nobody on top of the platform anymore.

After staring in mute amazement for a brief moment, his lips eased into a smile.

"Show-off."

It was an annoyed yet relieved smile. He then promptly began giving orders into the radio.

"Everyone, prepare for battle. Chuuya is heading toward the target."

oh i have so many it's insufferable but my FAVOURITES ARE

- chuuya got a bonsai in the mafia (he named it and everything) to show he was still capable of kindness and gentleness. dazai insulted him (he gets a bonsai when he's in the ADA tho)

- dazai never watched any movies or cartoons before the mafia. chuuya is affronted and forces him into having weekly movie nights

- they're like. REALLY good at their missions. so good at their missions that they tend to just ditch them, mess around the nearest arcade, then they go to the mission late and still finish it perfectly

- chuuya's a great singer, really gets into it and is just terrific. dazai is good, but his singing voice is highkey creepy asf, like horror movie kind of singing. chuuya is enamoured by it though

- dazai fell hard and fast. chuuya fell later on but when he did he fell like 10 flights of stairs

- dazai fell in love at first sight, chuuya fell during/after stormbringer

- verlaine doesn't like dazai At All but he recognises chuuya CARES about him for some reason so if chuuya's ever remotely injured after a mission verlaine gives him SO much shit for it

- yk those fics where skk get married in their teen years? yeah, dazai brought it up "randomly" for ""no reason"" once when they were chillin, chuuya was like ??? wtf, they bickered over it for a few minutes, then after a few more minutes of silence when dazai thinks the topic is dropped chuuya's like "you have to be nakahara osamu i am NOT taking your family name"

- chuuya once wrote a "hate poem" for dazai. it is genuinely dazai's most treasured item

- dazai doesn't care for poetry but when chuuya got into it he learned 1 poetic phrase; "the moon is beautiful tonight"

i loveeeee interacting with fandoms but only in the way that i want to. "i hate this ship they're so oversaturated" i only see them when i want to! "have you heard about the discourse around this plot point" no! and i will not! "oh my god this big account just got called out" okay! don't care!

#soukoku has been saved for me by ignoring how popular it is and ignoring the equal amount of people who hate it because its popular #i have friends and hobbies and things i can do outside of read 16 year olds argue about gillion tidestrider #and i have never cared about a 'big fandom account' in my life. at all #but seriously so many people hate skk bc its popular. yes i'd like to see content other than them on the main tag but it's not a big deal #i can fuckin. search up the tag for higuchi or kunikida or ango whenever i want. and see other things. heart emoji
