Izone reaction to 13th member receiving a lot of hate
Idol: Izone
Request: Yes
Love: Could you do a reaction for Izone where 13th member gets a lot of hate just because people keep bringing back that she was part of the group by tie votes with Chaeyeon?
A/n: I read another way of writing reactions during my stay at another site, so this isn’t my idea, credits to one who came up with it! I got a bit carried away so...enjoy!
—
You puffed out a breath, grabbing a water bottle and replenishing your thirst. You spent a few extra hours in the practice room rehearsing a few steps you could do when you perform your solo for the upcoming concert.
“Maybe I should post a selca for Wizone,” you pondered until reaching for your phone, snapping a few pictures through the mirror before packing your things and calling your manager.
When you got home, you spent some time with your members, messing around and talking to them before they eventually pushed you to take a shower.
All of them want you to rest because of how hard you’ve been working. So you went into your room, greeting Yujin and Wonyoung before dropping your bag at your bed and going to the bathroom.
After you washed up you jumped on your bed, laying on your side to make sure neither of the maknaes were disturbed while they worked on their homework.
Quietly scrolling through your phone giggling a few times at the funny pictures your fans thought about making.
Then you remembered that you posted earlier and opened your instagram, wanting to see what Wizone thought about your picture. You scrolled through the comments with a wide smile on your face as you read all Wizone’s messages.
But halfway through, your smile slowly sank, the messages changing as you reached the bottom of the comments, suddenly seeing a shift as the warm messages and hearts faded away.
Your shoulders are getting heavy, as you feel your chest tighten, a tear falling down your face as your eyes start to sting.
Seeing how the messages went from the fans saying how pretty you were to suddenly complaining on why you were even in the group, that you shouldn’t be that happy and cursed you for no reason.
Tears kept falling down your face as you continued to read, suddenly confused on why people could be so hateful.
Eunbi
Your leader was cooking some food, seeing that you were tired from practicing the whole day, she figured that you would need some food. When she finished Eunbi padded down the hall, knocking on your door and stepping in.
She expected the usual, the maknaes studying and either you were still showering or playing on your phone, but seeing you cuddled in Yujin’s arms shaking and sobbing made her act instinctively.
Eunbi rushed to your side, placing a hand on your back as you suddenly felt the presence of the older girl, you turned your body and sought your leader’s embrace.
Eunbi cradles your head before looking over to the two maknaes who are looking at your form with worry, The eldest looks at the two who understood, both of them leaving the room.
When they left, Eunbi kept holding you, whispering sweet nothings into your ear until she finally asked you what happened. It took a few minutes but you eventually choked out an answer, telling her about the comments from the fans and their messages.
The older girl cursed to herself before she hugged you tighter, making sure to put your phone away before placing a kiss on your temple. A comforting feeling washes over you before she starts to tell you how wrong they were, telling you everything that you wanted to hear as she assured you that you are indeed worthy to be in Izone.
Sakura
Sakura had just finished washing up, jumping on her bed to play some games, but a few minutes in the door suddenly opened, startling her before she felt someone hug her.
The Japanese looked down, seeing you bury yourself against her stomach, if it were any other situation she would’ve laughed but the tears on her shirt made her frown.
Pulling you up and cupping your face, “What’s the matter?” She asked, her voice soft as she tried to wipe your tears away.
“T-they said I-I wasn’t supposed to be part of the group, t-that I should’ve failed, I-I—“
Sakura didn’t let you continue, pulling you into a hug as she pulled you down. Letting you lay on top of her while she continued to comfort you, rubbing circles in your back while cradling your head. She glared at her ceiling, why would anyone want to say mean things about you, you were the most wonderful person she knew.
You worked so hard to be where you are and it hurts her to see that their own fans were the one to say that.
Hyewon
Hyewon was rummaging through the kitchen, talking with Eunbi as she scrolled through her phone.
She stood to go and shower but the two maknaes had stopped her, rambling as they both spoke at the same time, Hyewon could only look at the two with confusion until they were stopped by the eldest,
“One at a time, take a deep breath,” they paused, Yujin being the one to speak after a minute, “Y/n unnie, she’s cry—“
Without finishing, Hyewon brushed past them, swiftly going down the hall and inside your room and seeing you curled up in your bed.
She went to your side, pulling your head to her chest as a sob escaped past your lips when you felt her presence and scent.
Though some people found that Hyewon was mostly quiet and cold, you knew the truth, they were wrong because she was the one who hit you differently than the others.
Hyewon was the one who would always comfort you, even if she couldn't express her feelings as much, you appreciated her a lot.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” She asked but you could only shake your head, burying yourself into her neck as she caught a glimpse of your phone. Her face scowled when she saw the comments, throwing your phone aside as she pecked your head, “Don’t listen to them, they don’t know you,”
Yena
The duck was busy playing, facing the TV with Hyewon as they played, eating their snacks while switching who played. But halfway she went to stretch, “Your turn,” she passed the controller to Hyewon, raising her hands above her head she noticed Eunbi and Chaewon outside the maknae’s room.
At first she thought nothing about it and kept playing but a few minutes later Yena heard an all too familiar sob. She shot up rushing to your room where she saw half of the dorm present.
When she had entered the room seeing you huddled up with Yujin and Wonyoung broke her heart,
“Yena unnie,” the maknae called, making you turn to the older and rush into her arms which gladly caught you. Wrapping her arms tightly around your form as she suddenly wondered what could’ve made their member sad.
Yujin raised your phone, near enough for Yena to read before she shook her head in disappointment,
“Put it away,” she said and hugged you tighter, not saying anything as she let you cry in her arms, letting your sobs get muffled by her shirt while the others could only watch with worry.
Yena pulled away, wiping your tears with the pads of her thumbs before pecking your eyelids and forehead,
“Don’t worry about them, Y/n, they’re just jealous, you’re the one who deserves this position the most okay? You worked too hard to get where you are, if some can’t love you, remember that you still have us and the rest of the world who will.”
Chaeyeon
The dancer was busy cleaning the dorm, staying in the kitchen as the rest were doing their own things. Once the dishes were done and the table was cleaned, the two maknaes entered the kitchen, talking about their projects,
“You two finished?” the older woman asked, wiping her hands on the towel hanging on the fridge, “Just one more, unnie, we’re taking a snack break,” Wonyoung answered, finishing the glass of water while Yujin took a bite out of the strawberry.
“How about Y/n?”
“Unnie’s in the shower, but I don’t think they had anything to eat.” Yujin mumbled through her chewing, making Chaeyeon move, getting a plate and preparing you some food before she carried it to your room.
Opening the door she saw you curled up in bed, seemingly on your phone, “Hey, Y/n, Yujin said you didn’t eat yet, I brought some food.”
Chaeyeon noticed the lack of response, placing the plate on your bedside table she peeked over your shoulder, thinking that you fell asleep but noticing you were quietly scrolling through your phone.
Then she focused on the text you were reading on your phone, her whole face changing as she pulled the phone out of your hands, shutting the phone Chaeyeon placed it in her pocket.
The older girl watched as your shoulders started to lightly shake until she could hear you sniffling. She pulled you up, kneeling on the floor as she cupped your face, seeing your tears stream down your cheek made her heart ache.
Using the pads of her thumbs she wiped your tears, while you leaned against her touch, your sobs escaping past your lips before Chaeyeon pulled you into a hug.
Burying your face in the crook of her neck you cried, letting the older accept your pain while she rubbed your back.
Cursing in the back of her head because it was happening again, the people constantly reminding you about how you were so lucky and not right to be in your place, but what hurts more was that people hated you instead of her.
People chose to hurt you and not her, even if Chaeyeon had seen how hard you’ve worked, how many nights of sleep you sacrificed because you taught them, the sacrifice you were willing to make and give up your position for her.
So she just held you, whispering in your ear that you shouldn’t listen to them, “You’re the best member we could ever have and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”
Chaewon
Chaewon was scrolling on her phone, checking some of the posts from the fans on their instagram, then she got a ping, saying that they had posted.
Chaewon opened their profile and saw your picture, some quirky and some serious through the mirror, the girl giggled at your silliness before reading the comments. Then the present smile turned into a scowl as she read the endless hate comments.
Chaewon shot up from her bed, rushing out her door and bursting inside your room where the two maknaes were, startling them but Chaewon was too focused on you, rushing to your side and pulling your phone away when she saw the tears building in your eyes.
“Unnie,” she called you, defeated as you lunged at her, wrapping your arms around her shoulder and buried your face in the crook of her neck. Chaewon rubbed your back, letting you cry in her arms before looking at the other two who looked at you with worry,
“Hey, it’s alright, don’t listen to them Y/n,” she whispered before pressing a kiss to your temple, making you close your eyes and stifle your crying in her shoulder.
“Don’t hold it back, it’s okay, you can cry,” the softness in her voice made you break even more, sobs leaving your lips while Chaewon hugged you, and soon you felt two pairs of arms hug you.
Though Yujin and Wonyoung didn’t know what was happening it made them sad to see you sad, making sure to hug you while Chaewon smiled at you, seeing the small lift on your lips before she tightened her arms around you.
Minju
Minju drowsily walked down the hall, fighting to keep her eyes open as she went to her room. When Minju crashed onto her bed, she sighed, finally letting her eyes close, but the moment she could drift off completely her door opened.
Groaning, she turned to face the one who entered, seeing it was Yujin, Minju tried to listen to what the girl was telling her.
“Unnie, it’s Y/n,” Minju sat up, her drowsiness clearing up when she heard your name leave her mouth with urgency, “What’s wrong?” Her voice matched Yujin’s worry, ready to run out of the room just in case,
“Unnie’s crying,” Minju left the room, rushing down the hall to where most of the members were tentative if they were going to go inside where they could hear you cry.
Minju padded inside, seeing your trembling form while Wonyoung held you, Minju frowned before she held your shoulder and pulled you into her arms. Feeling the presence, you grasped the collar of her shirt, clutching tightly as she held you.
Letting you lean against her and looking at Wonyoung to explain, the younger girl pulled out your phone, showing Minju the comments.
As she read she felt her own eyes widen, her own eyes stinging, her hug tightening around you. It was like she felt your pain, the hate, the hurtful words, it made Minju blink a tear escaping past her own lips and allowed you to cry instead of saying anything,
“It’s alright Y/n, they’re wrong, you’re more precious and important to us so don’t let them get to you, we’ll always love you, no matter what.”
Nako
Nako had been watching on her phone, laughing once and a while at the videos she watched before the room to the door opened, she glanced up with a smile but it quickly dropped when she saw you frowning, tears streaming down your face as you looked at her with sadness, standing up she padded closer to you and took your hands in her own.
“What’s wrong?” she asked you, squeezing your hands and you pulled her closer, hugging her closely.
Nako was confused but she hugged back, rubbing circles on your back, trying to make you stop crying as she just held you silently, not saying anything and waited for you to be the one to explain.
When you had slowed down a bit, Nako pulled away, cupping your cheeks as you leaned into her touch, the warmth of her palm moving to your cheek, the Japanese wiping your tears with the pads of her thumbs,
“What happened?” she asked softly, her voice careful as she spoke to you, as if you were going to break if she spoke too loud. You opened your mouth to speak but nothing came out, so Nako moved her hand just below your jaw, stroking it carefully,
“It’s okay, take your time,” she said before leading you to the bed to sit.
After a few minutes more you eventually told her about the comments and the replies, each word leaving your mouth made her frown, anger slowly building up inside her until you finished, and she just pulled you in her embrace again.
Feeling you sigh as she pressed a kiss on your forehead, Nako was mad, furious even, but she knew she couldn’t do anything. Responding would only give the haters satisfaction so she could only hold you, making sure she and the members would continue to show you how much they love and appreciate you.
Hitomi
The Japanese girl ran into your room the moment she heard a sob, rushing to your side as Yujin and Wonyoung held you, curled up in their arms as you continued to cry,
“What happened?” She asked and immediately hearing her voice you opened your eyes and jumped into her arms, making Hitomi stumble back but was able to balance herself to hold you as she spoke with the two maknaes.
Yujin scoffed before she kept scrolling on your phone, reading the hateful comments that never seemed to end,
“They’re hating on unnie again,” the sentence alone was enough for Hitomi to frown, sighing as she held you in her arms. This has happened far too often for her liking and she was getting annoyed that everyone kept hating on you.
How could they hate on someone like you, to Hitomi you were the perfect person, you were always the person to put others before themselves.
The people knew that, they even saw it happen on Produce yet they still want to find ways to hate on you even if you did so much good to everyone else.
You were humble, you never once bragged about your life and you never did anything that was scandalous, you were always wearing a bright smile on your face and did your best to cheer everyone up when they needed it, even if you also weren’t in a good mood you tried your best to be in one.
So it confused her to no end why would they keep stretching things just to make you feel bad.
Why bring someone down when all they ever did was entertain and make you happy, Hitomi never understood it, all she could was stay silent, holding you in her arms while all of them listened to cry, their hearts breaking as you kept crying, clutching onto Hitomi’s shirt.
While she whispered how wrong the people were for judging you, often kissing the top of your head to let you know that they were always with you if you needed someone to lean on.
Yuri
Yuri entered your room, greeting the two maknaes studying as she went to your bed and snuggled to your side.
Yuri barely noticed anything that happened around her, she was so tired that she just wrapped her arms around your torso and closed her eyes, it was second nature cuddling with you before she went to sleep and because usually you would just play around on your phone, or scroll through your social media so she paid no attention to your lack of response.
Then Yuri felt your body shaking, your breathing getting heavier before she felt something drop on her head.
Pulling away she was shocked when she saw the way you had tears in your eyes before she sat up, pulling you with her and cupping your face,
“Baby, why are you crying?” she asked, noticing your lips quivering as you spoke,
“A-am I not good enough?”
The question shocked Yuri, her lips forming a pout as she suddenly wondered why you would ask her,
“What are you talking about, Y/n?” the confusion on Yuri’s face was clear but she didn’t hesitate to answer anyway,
“Of course you’re good enough, in fact you’re more than good, you’re the best!” she exclaimed but the sadness didn’t escape your features as your tears started to stream down faster,
“Hey, what’s the matter,” Yuri asked you again, but this time you showed her your phone.
Yuri read the comments, her pout getting bigger when she realized the reason for your sudden breakdown. Quickly as she could, she took your phone out of your hands and set it aside, cupping your face as she stated seriously,
“Listen to me, Y/n, you are the most wonderful person in the world, you’re talented, good looking, and hardworking. I don’t see anyone else that would be in front of me now, don’t let those comments get the best of you, they’re wrong because true Wizone wouldn’t say that to you. We love and support you Y/n, we won’t be Izone without you.”
Yujin
Yujin wrote on her notebook, answering the question as best as she could while Wonyoung did the same beside her, it’s been a few minutes since you went out of the bathroom before Yujin had called you,
“Y/n unnie,” since usually when Yujin or Wonyoung struggled with their school work they would call you for help because it had just been a year since you finished school. But the lack of response made Yujin turn, before she saw your unmoving form, thinking you were asleep and kept quiet.
But since she was really struggling she decided to leave the room, wanting to search for the others on how to do it but as she held the doorknob she caught a glimpse of you holding your phone, she turned and walked towards you,
“Yah, you were still awake unnie why didn’t you--” Yujin paused when she made eye contact with you, the gloss on your eyes and tear stricken face made her worry.
Quickly dropping her stuff on the bed Yujin kneeled in front of you, taking your phone away and held your face in her hands,
“Unnie what’s wrong?” Wonyoung turned and glanced behind her in worry, seeing Yujin’s face filled with worry as she spoke to you, standing up she padded towards you and gasped when she saw you crying,
“Wonyoung, could you get some water?” Yujin asked her which the maknae nodded before leaving the room.
“Unnie, what’s the matter?” she asked again, your eyes flickering to the phone, making you flinch as the comments came running through your mind.
Yujin noticed and went to check on your phone but suddenly seeing the first comment she gasped, shutting the phone before pulling you into a hug.
This was the only other time Yujin had seen you cry, aside from the moment when you were announced to be their member she’s never seen you become this sad.
It was always you being happy and bubbly around them that she didn’t know what to do.
But she did her best to hold you, comforting you, while she let you cry against her shoulder, keeping quiet and rubbing circles against your back to calm you down. She was one of the youngest but she would also care for her unnie like you cared for her.
Wonyoung
“I’ll just get some food,” Wonyoung nodded at Yujin, who stood up and walked outside the room, leaving Wonyoung to scribble in her notebook but halfway through she had turned when she heard someone sniffle.
It was only you two inside the room so she looked at you but not seeing you move she thought nothing of it but a seconds later a quiet whimper echoed in the room.
Wonyoung turned completely and padded to you,
“Y/n unnie?” calling you softly she stopped in front of you her features going into worry when she saw you crying.
“Unnie, why are you--”
You didn’t notice Wonyoung until she spoke, suddenly sitting up and wiping the tears on your face trying to hide the fact that you were obviously crying,
“I-it’s nothing Wonyo, just a sad video that I watched,” you explained but your voice suddenly cracked, making you cringe as you saw the younger girls face shift when she noticed you were lying.
“Unnie, we’ve known each other for two years, you can’t lie to me,” she said and you glanced down, giving up the facade as your tears started to fall again.
Tear after tear they fell and Wonyoung grew worried, reaching for your phone before she started reading the comments,
“They’re doing it again?” Wonyoung exclaimed to no one, because this wasn’t the first time that people did this. Calling you lucky and unworthy to be part of the group made her blood boil, she knew you better than them.
You were nothing like they said you were, you are her role model, the person she looks up to. You were hardworking and talented.
She watched you since you were trainees and yet people still find bad things to say about you even if you did so much good things that are actually proven,
“You aren’t all those things that they say you are unnie, you deserve to be with us, you help us a lot, you take care of us, and even make us happy when we aren’t. What happened back in Produce wasn’t luck or a misread, it is true and you are the best thing that could’ve happened to me and the girls, you deserve to be in Izone more than anything in the world.”

Almost Out of Reach
Iz*One 13th Member AU
Produce 48 Era
The final results of Produce 48 shock everyone!
Eunha stood with the other 19 contestants left on Produce 48. The show was coming to a close and Eunha didn’t feel any more confident with her placing. She was in the top 12 a few times, but always towards the bottom. Sadly for Eunha, this would be her last chance to debut in a group, so it was either Iz*One or solo work!
They started announcing the final 12 girls, starting from 11th place and working there way down. She looked at the other girls standing there, hoping that at the very least Eunbi and Chaeyeon would debut. They had been through more hardships than the other trainees and she wanted them to be recognized for there talent.
Lee Seung Gi, the MC for Produce 48, announced the 11th place winner and first member of Iz*One. It was Kim Minju from Urban Works! Eunha was so happy, loving the times she got to spend with Minju when they were in the same group. She couldn’t wait to watch Minju in Iz*One!
Seung Gi than announced the 10th place winner. It was Kim Chaewon from Woolim Entertainment. She was kinda shocked, considering how she barely got any camera time, but she was happy nonetheless. Eunha loved her voice and her visuals, so hopefully she would get more popularity from being in Iz*One!
The 9th place winner was announced as AKB48′s, Honda Hitomi, and Eunha almost started screaming (for Joy!). She loved Hitomi so much, but she wasn’t as popular as the other Japanese trainees, so watching her debut was one of the best feelings in the world!
Kang Hyewon was then announced as the 8th member of Iz*One. Eunha was confused, because she didn’t remember anyone named Hyewon on the show (They weren’t in any performances together). But when she saw who is was, she realized it was that beautiful girl she couldn’t stop staring at in the competition! She didn’t remember her performances that well, but secretly wished her well in Iz*One!
When Kwon Eunbi was revelaed as the 7th member of Iz*One, Eunha almost started crying! She had grown so close to Eunbi over the course of the show and loved her like a sister! They both had the struggle of debuting before and it showed that she was more desperate than ever! Eunha was the first to hug Eunbi, glad that she had achieved her dreams!
Seung Gi announces the 6th place winner, HKT48′s Yabuki Nako. Eunha was happy, although she didn’t really know Nako. She hadn’t really listened to much of AKB48 or HKT48′s music and she didn’t know Nako that well. But she hoped that Nako would be happy in Iz*One and she was glad to have someone with Nako’s voice in the group!
The 5th Place was announced to be Starships, Ahn Yujin. Eunha could not be more happy that Yujin would be debuting! Yujin, along with Hitomi, was one of the trainees Eunha felt closest too and seeing her reach her dreams at such a young age, made Eunha’s heart fill up with so much happiness!
Choi Yena from Yuehua was announced as the 4th place winner and Eunha couldn’t be happier for her! Yena had an addictive personality that Eunha could not get enough of and she couldn’t wait to see more of her! (She also was so grateful that Yena could keep as many secrets as she did!)
The 3rd place winner was anounced as Stone Music’s, Jo Yuri. Eunha knew she would debut, as her vocals were one of the best in the show. She was also younger and had one of the best redemption arcs in the show! Eunha hoped they would be a Main Vocal duo together!
Seung Gi then announced, “I will know reveal the 1st and 2nd place winners of Iz*One. HKT48′s Miyawaki Sakura and Starship’s Jang Wonyoung.” She was so happy for Wonyoung, as she had already considered Wonyoung the baby, and she was so happy she would be debuting! Sakura was one of the only Japanese trainees Eunha knew at the start of the show and was so happy that there would be a full and complete J-line with Sakura, Nako, and Hitomi!
Wonyoung was then announced as the 1st place winner and Sakura as the 2nd place winner. “I will now reveal who got 12th and 13th place. Moon Eunha of Source Music and Lee Chaeyeon of WM.”
Eunha looked back, shocked that Chaeyeon hadn’t made it higher. She was one of the most anticipated trainees on the show and she had an almost guarenteed debut spot since her audition!
She knew immediately in that moment, that Chaeyeon had gotten 12th and would debut. So she decided not to be upset about it. At least Produce had given her a good ground to debut as a solo artist! Hopefully she would use that and be a succesful and good artist!
She walked back to where Chaeyeon was and hugged her. “Congratulations! I’m so glad that you’re debuting! You deserve this after so long!” She whispered to Chaeyeon, grabbing her hand to wait for the results.
“What makes you think you’re not debuting?” Chaeyeon asked her, trying to stop herself from crying. She knew Eunha was more desperate than she was to debut, so why did she seem ok?
“I don’t have good enough ranks to debut. But now we know you get to! I can’t wait to see what you do here!”
They had cut to a commercial break after announcing who 12th and 13th places where. During that time, Seung Gi went backstage, which the girls thought was strange, but decided not to say anything. Seung Gi hurried back and the cameras started rolling again.
“Ladies and Gentleman, Before the break, I announced the 12th and 13th places as Moon Eunha of Source Music and Lee Chaeyeon of WM. However,”
He stopped his sentence there, causing everyone to hold on in suspense. Eunha felt Chaeyeon’s grip tighten with every moment, but knew she was more stressed than she was.
“However,” Seung Gi started again. “Eunha and Chaeyeon have received within 100 votes of each other. Considering how many people voted, this was not something our production team is taking lightly.”
Eunha felt like she was going to pass out from the suspense. Her knee actually gave out and Han Chowon literally had to hold her upright so she wouldn’t fall over.
“Our producers and mentors have all agreed that since the point totals were so similar, both Moon Eunha and Lee Chaeyeon will debut as members of Iz*One!”
Chaeyeon fell to the floor, crying from the desperation she held onto for so long. She was finally getting her chance at debut, and she was debuting with Eunha, the person she had gotten closest to on the show.
Eunha on the other hand was in to much shock, to the point that she didn’t even register what had happened. It wasn’t until Chaeyeon started dragging her up to the platform that she realized she was debuting! She would have started crying, if Chaeyeon hadn’t had her arm in a death grip.
“Lee Chaeyeon of WM Entertainment got 12th place! Moon Eunha got 13th place, but both will be in the final debut line up of Iz*One!” Seung Gi shouts over the erupting crowd.
Eunha let Chaeyeon give her speech first, considering how she was actually 12th place and led her to the 12th place chair. Eunha walked over to the empty space besides Chaewon, hugging her on the way over.
Eunha didn’t realize how many tears she was holding in until she started making her speech. “Thank you, Source Music for letting me come on this show and giving me this opportunity to grow as a person and as a performer. Thank you to my parents for always being there, my sisters for supporting me through everything, and all of the Source trainees and groups for getting me to where I am. I’m going to stop now because I really don’t want to cry on camera!”
She quickly gave the mic to a staff member, holding back as many tears as she could. She looked over at Chaeyeon, who was still crying. She looked up at Eunbi, who was crying over what just happened. She looked at Hitomi, who was smiling and jumping over debuting with both Eunha and Chaeyeon.
Seung gi took back control of the crowd and said his final remarks. “This is the final line up, Of IZ*ONE!”
She took her first bow as a member of Iz*One.
