Well, that was interesting.. and also a little not.

Turns out it's more of a Malik episode. Which is fine, and good. Needed. When Samar left I remember complaining that the team had lost the international woman of mystery vibe. Someone who would be comfortable in any country and any situation and capable no matter what. Park most definitely wasn't that. But it looks like Siya is. So I'm very glad for that, she is seamlessly sliding into the team and fulfilling a niche, which Park never found.

I can understand where Ressler was coming from in his concerns, considering the history, but a job has to be done and there will always be people to do it. Would he, or anybody, have said the same things if it was a male character? I'm trying to cut him some slack on this, but if somebody said that to me I'd be pissed as hell.

I guess it's a night for almost crossing lines. Red's actions with Agnes.... Over the line? Maybe. But from such a distance and in such a way that it doesn't feel like that.

I was hoping for more on that. But it looks like Reddington is very much holding back, and continuing with a very wide paranoid streak. There was that scene on the plane, the absence. Boy that felt weird. Not to mention what might be a bucket list. Again, I feel like he's probably justified. Things are worse than they seem, and we can't see it yet. I don't think Wujing is going to turn out to be the ultimate villain he faces down with. I'm reminded that one of the last things he ever said to Elizabeth was that Neville Townsend most likely told Red's secret to others, and they would be coming. I'm surprised it took them so long.

While this all makes for some great tension and mystery, I feel like it's keeping us a little bit removed from Red. I hope that changes, and I hope that isn't a deliberate prepping for something. I want to feel close to Red. I want others to feel close to Red as well. Get after him, Dembe. Hes in a bad spot, he won't say it, and he needs his security.

cas and hannah just kinda hanging out together is honestly a funny little subplot. two angels trying to fit in with the humans and one is noticeably better than the other but the bar is on the ground. i hope this ends up with hannah seeing the error of her ways and realizing daniel and adina were right. it's nice and cute amidst the horrors
