life update🌸
happy spring everyone! it snowed yesterday here where i am lol
so as i mentioned in my last post, i have officially applied to become an epik teacher. i am now in the waiting period to see if i get an interview. if i am granted an interview and i pass, then i will know that i will really be moving to korea come august. i really hope i do get the opportunity to return to korea to teach. while living at home is great, i really do want to make a difference in this world and go back to one of my favorite places on earth.
in other korea related news, i will soon be buying my plane ticket to go visit my best friend and 욱진! i’ve been saving up for the past 2 months or so which has been difficult in terms of budgeting, but i’m very excited to go see my friends. i miss them a lot. last time i saw 욱진 was when he took me to the airport when i left korea and last time i saw julian was christmas (which is too long to not see your bestie!)
while i am over there, i do plan to update this blog with even more korean language, but i also intend to talk about my travels and post some photos. i’ll be over there for about 10 days, so i have a lot of plans.
i finished the in-class portion of my tefl and now am working on my online portion. i hope to have that finished by the end of the month.
i’ve done a lot of reading as of late too. just finished a book called rebecca. i highly recommend it if you are into books set in ye olden days. now i’m reading daughters of the dragon which actually takes place in korea! i’ve also delved deeper into reading my korea travel book. i still need to order that history of korea book i want though...
so yeah, that’s where my life has been at mostly. so as usual, stay tuned for more korean language content and updates on my epik journey!
