i just had the big brain idea for könig with a bossy spoilt engel. and im not talking mean bossy, although she can come off like that sometimes, but engel has just been so sheltered throughout her life that she is just so used to that lifestyle and just naturally expects that from her könig, and knowing him, he provides her exactly with that.

sure, its a little frantic but by god is he willing to do anything for her just to get a little crumb of attention, praise, or maybe, even just an acknowledgment if thats what he deserves.

and engel is just so needy for every material thing her little mind can come up with, she needs more designer clothes, she wants another car, she craves the latest beauty line that has just been released. and she'll want more things to occupy her time despite having so much entertainment already provided, more books, more laptops/tablets/smartphones, more streaming subscriptions, more video games, more useless junk, more, more, more. and könig is so used to it that it doesn't bother him one bit when she drops whatever she wanted in a week.

könig also doesn't mind how bossy and pretentious she can be. perhaps, she grew up in a wealthy aristocratic lifestyle, those types are the most pretentious, and she just oozes that. so she just can't help fussing over how könig can be so careless with his home and demands that he clean so that she can redecorate. or how she tends to correct könig on his behavior when he tends to get creepy and pervy with her or when he doesn't even bother to be considerate of others while driving. or when she can be a little clueless when it comes to könig's lifestyle, like, 'what.is.a.macdonalds?', 'why.do.you.sleep.with.knives?', and 'what.do.you.mean.savings?" o.O

it would be a great dynamic though, könig who grew up fairly poor (both financially and behaviorally) and unstable, and engel who grew up lavishly and comfortably.

its a contrast of two people who'd never thought they'd end up with, but because of that, they work together in benefitting each others pleasures. könig provides everything she could possibly want and more through buying her things, doing things for her, and providing a safe yet spacious shelter, and engel who only really provides him through attention, companionship, and sex~

König who grew up relatively poor & who lives extremely frugally, sleeps on an old mattress, patches up his tactical pants (omg does this mean he knows how to sew?!) and rarely heats his food because he couldn't be arsed to go and buy a microwave, who owns a used sofa, 2 plates, 2 forks and 1 spoon and has 800 000 euros on his bank accounts:

Not really for the personality, because my Spamton's personality is actually a bit similar.. but more for the visual aspect. I headcannon that canon Spamton's body shrunk when he fell into an acid pool. My Spamton fell into an acid pool as well, but it didn't shrink him. It destroyed the structure of his body and elongated him. Making him much taller and extremely deformed..

Imagine the two of them standing side by side. Original Spam would be up to my Spams knee! <XD

As for what kind of monsters they'd face,, I'm actually unsure- I haven't played either game and I don't know any of the lore or characters.. so I'm not sure what kinds of dangers the real cookie run pirates face.. :( But what I DO know is that Blue Beauty is their main form of protection.

She's not exactly threatening to a lot of creatures I'd imagine.. She is just a Mer-whale. No teeth or stingers to make her more intimidating.. But what she is, is huge. And incredibly strong. She's a real power house and uses tools and weapons the crew taught her how to use to defend herself. And I imagine with her thick blubber, it takes a really deep wound to actually hurt her. So she doesn't fear getting a couple scratches here and there.

When it comes to the other cookies, most everyone stands up and fights. Only a select few retreat to the lower decks to protect their goods or hide. Those likely being Ellie, she's too old for this crap- and Coco and Red, though don't be fooled! Coco can fight! She's just retreating with Red in order to protect him. Everyone else though is up there duking it out with who ever dares cross their ship! ⚔⚔

MASTERLIST

"Oh, you're here!" A voice says from the doorway and you look over to see Frank standing there. "You fine?"

"Long day." You sigh, looking back at the ceiling. Your eyes had been on it for so long that you could already see shapes on it before Frank showed up. The silence, at the same time it is comforting, also makes you painfully aware of the ringing sound in your ears that results from the whole mess at work.

Frank sighs as he walks over, standing beside the bed. “That sucks. I almost questioned myself whether you’d come home already or not because I could find you nowhere downstairs.” Hearing his voice is comforting; instead of answering, you just make a motion for him to join you and, Frank being Frank, he climbs on your lap to straddle your hips. You hold onto him out of instinct, rubbing his thighs lightly. “Poor (y/n). I’m going to take care of you.”

You raise an eyebrow at Frank and roll your eyes gently, just letting him cup your face and press kisses all over it until the last one is on your lips. The kiss is just soft at first, with his lips pressing to yours lovingly until he grazes his teeth against your bottom lip and then his tongue, but you keep your mouth shut. He tries it a couple of times more, but still gets no different reaction.

“(Y/n),” Frank whines, “come on...” He kisses you again, but you still don’t let him. It’s so funny to hear him groan in frustration again; you can’t help but smile. “You’re teasing.”

“Oh, am I?” You chuckle lazily, watching Frank’s lips purse. “Aw, come on.” With a hand on the side of his neck, you pull him for another kiss, this time letting your tongue run against his bottom lip. He wants to play you just like you did to him earlier, but you don’t let it happen. A gentle push of your hips is enough to make his mouth open in a gasp and allow you to push your tongue past his lips, letting it glide against his.

Despite getting what he wants, the circumstances still have Frank groaning once again despite continuing the kiss, sliding his hands down to your shoulders. You don’t know whether it’s intentional or not, but the way he keeps shifting on your lap... damn. For a few seconds, you allow him to pamper your lips, licking or nibbling on them according to his own desires until your hand pulls him for a firm, full kiss before you pull away.

“You’re a fucking menace,” you mumble against Frank’s lips, letting your thumb run against his jaw gently.

A giggle escapes his lips as Frank shifts a little. “And why’s that?”

You shoot Frank a look before pulling him for yet another kiss because— Damn, it feels so fucking good, even more after such a long day. His touch feels so good against your skin, from the kisses to his hands squeezing your shoulders a little to his weight on top of you.

Frank’s fingers trace your collar, the cold fingertips slipping past it and rising shivers against your warm skin before his hand trails down to slip under your shirt instead. You feel tempted to tease him, say something about how he’s just using the excuse to take care of you to get what he wants, but it’s not even that worth it at this point. It’d just delay something you wish for.

His hands reach up on your torso before you’re slipping your hands under his shirt to grip onto his hips so you can hold Frank in place to roll your hips up against him, which makes him gasp once more, hands stilling on you.

The only thing that gets Frank to interrupt the make out session is the need to get rid of his shirt, quickly giving you a shirt kiss again before he tugs on your shirt until your hands wrap around his.

“You’re rushing a little,” you whisper, and Frank just sits still, trying to catch his breath with his face barely an inch away from yours. “Calm down.” You kiss him again, taking the lead of the kiss and not allowing him to rush things again, which works really well considering how he just melts under your touches.

A soft sigh escapes Frank’s lips with how your lips trail down to his jaw, kissing gently over it until you have to pull away to get rid of your shirt, but you’re soon back to it, also kissing down his neck and nibbling on it gently. The new interaction starts to get him unquiet again, but it doesn’t matter since you’re soon undoing his belt and whispering for him to take off his pants while you also get rid of yours, and he’s already back on your lap by the time all of your clothes are discarded on the bed or somewhere on the floor near it.

A breath escapes your lips with absentminded words while you reach for the bedside table while Frank kisses you again, not caring whether you drop a few things on the way as long as you get what you want, then you can focus on Frank again. He shifts a little to adjust his position on your lap again, his hands pressing heavier on your shoulder and side, and the way he shifts against you makes both of you groan this time.

Your hands are all over, feeling him up and squeezing here and there, precise spots to snatch just the right pleased sighs from him until they turn into moans the moment your hand reaches his cock. He gasps against your lips, but does his best to continue making out with you despite how your hand feels good around him, pumping him up and down slowly with a tight grip. He curses quietly, hand going from your shoulder to the mattress to hold himself up by his elbow because he can’t hold himself up so easily anymore.

There’s a whine from protest when you let go, but Frank falls quiet and attentive at the moment he sees you reach for the lube. Cold liquid coats your fingers and he’s already pushing his hips up a little so you can easily reach between his legs and circle his entrance, spreading on it a the generous amount of lube on your fingers.

One finger pushes in just fine, making Frank’s breath get caught in his throat a couple of times, but a sound escapes his lips at the moment the second finger starts to slip in. He tenses up, biting on his lip, but then relaxes once your fingers stop. You retrieve your fingers to coat them in more lube, and your fingers meet even less resistance this time, almost pulled in by themselves because of how Frank clenches around you, his breath uneven against your face. If he’s already like that around your fingers, then when it’s you...

“Hell,” you whisper when you pull away, which is almost disappointing to him if you weren’t coating your own cock with the lube this time, hissing a little at the cold feeling of the liquid that is eased once you spread it with a few pumps on your cock. Frank himself tries to touch, but you slap his hand away, messily cleaning your hand on the covers before your hand holds onto his hip to guide him over again.

Frank lets out a shaky breath, looking down as you guide yourself in, just pressing the tip to his fluttering entrance before you start to actually lower him with his help, earning a soft moan from him. The new intrusion causes a bit of discomfort, but nothing that can’t be solved with a few seconds to adjust before the soft slap on his thigh makes Frank start moving.

“Don’t you want to take care of me?” You chuckle softly, your breath hitching in your throat when Frank rolls his hips. Fuck. “Go on and do it. All by yourself.”

Frank mumbles something while shooting you a glare, but he never stops moving, keeping on with rolling his hips against yours. He sits back, making both of you moan at the same time with how you sink in deeper, but he just moves his hips clumsily a couple of times while his hands shift on your torso to find where to hold. Your hands hold onto his forearms to pull them up until his hands slip into yours and he hums softly in appreciation before finally trying to find a nice pace.

At first, Frank continues with clumsy movements that barely hold any consistency. The way he looks down a few times makes his hair fall over his face, having part of it covered while he repeatedly lowers himself against you.

“C’mon,” you mumble, suddenly pushing your hips up to meet his halfway—he moans louder at the same time a groan escapes your lips. “You can do better than that.”

That seems enough to bring Frank back to reality, even if just a little, and he starts doing a better job with it. A continuous, rhythmic hum escapes his throat as he bites on his lip, eyebrows furrowed as he focuses on doing his best, not just for you, but also for himself. Soft groans escape your lips as you watch him, giving him the support he needs with your hands so you can just enjoy it. Your leg twitches a little with how good he feels, and it’s almost impossible to keep holding your hips still while he’s riding you like that, so pretty.

Moans fill the room with the wet sound of skin against skin, but it’s all relatively quiet, with a major focus on each other, holding gazes with full blown pupils and breathy groans.

Frank pauses, freeing a hand to run it through his hair and bring his strands back, breathing shakily. “(Y/n),” he whines softly, slipping his hand back in yours.

“What?” You squeeze his hands gently. “Already tired? Disappointing. You’re always so energetic...” A teasing tone laces your words. “C’mon, Frankie. Show me all you’ve got.”

A few seconds go by before Frank starts moving again, gently rocking his hips at first before he settles down for a decent pace that works well for both of you. His thighs quiver once in a while, but you encourage him to keep going, feeling the pleasure already pool in your lower stomach as you watch him do his best while clenching so nice and good around you. Fuck. Your tongue pokes out to wet your lips and you already crave another kiss from him, but it can wait now.

Frank’s best at the moment still doesn’t feel enough, so your hands are taking a hold of his hips to move them at the same time you start thrusting up, immediately turning him into a mess as he tries to hold onto something while you chase your own high.

“F—Fuck...” Frank whines, gripping onto your upper arms and shoulders to at least try to steady himself, easily melting under your touches. “(Y/n), I...” He gasps, his moans gaining a higher pitch as his legs quiver and it is just a matter of time before he is spilling all over his chest and abdomen with a chain of pleased sounds that just get whinier since you don’t stop.

“‘Most there...” You whisper, already on the edge given his tight Frank became when he came, so it’s just a few more thrusts until you do it yourself, gasping and curling your toes as you keep moving your hips until the throbbing on your cock becomes faint and Frank’s almost driven into overstimulation.

Frank mumbles something incoherently, all messy and breathy as you slowly loosen your grasp onto him to rub onto his hips soothingly instead.

when you eventually look at the new 000 gregor ID i would love to know how he slots into the rest of the clockroach dynamic, if he even slots in at all

I didnt get him after 58 pulls but his voicelines are up on the wiki so what can you do.

- I think Dante actually has a problem with this one. TH!Gregor is like oh ho hum about it since they work together fine but when he finds out Dante is not only workplace romancing The Gregiverse but one of the Gregs they are okay with is a serial killer cannibal he's like Hold On.... Hey?

-He goes out of his way to be powerful and alluring and charming and suave and all that and Dante just goes .... :/ at him. He is like oh so you don't want me Confident. And Happy. And has it pointed out with him that the most confident and happy Gregor (Zwei) has Dante absolutely sauced but that only makes him more mad

-Twinhooks Gregor has enjoyed the absolute highest level of protection from all conflict through Hook and the Middle and has depended on that coddling for a while so he doesn't actually have conflict resolution skills & he's a little threatened by his burgeoning need to beg for it

-All Twinhook Gregor does is steal cheat and lie and so he opts to pretend to NOT be strong and independent (WHICH HE IS) since Dante wants to be the boss. Begging is ok if its fake. Dante breaks, just as planned, but tragically Gregor surrounds himself with underlings and guardians because he craves coddling and thus being dommed Awakens things within him.

-Most whipped Gregor next to G-Corp. Smug about it though like "ohh sorry but I got people who won't allow me to die 😏". Really lays it on thick schmoozing with Dante, overtly romantic, competitive with Outis for brown-nosing and wants to be The Favourite

-New, unique dynamic of We Have To Kill Them

-Dante acts pretty neutrally with him in public which really distills the comedy I think. This too is a form of domination

-Semi-related he's pretty vocally annoyed they have a Colour Fixer who just hangs out and makes sure Dante's head doesn't need to explode and does nothing else. What is the point of a powerful person being around if it isn't in service of anything <- his existential worldview at this point <- He gets along with the Middle exceptionally well as you might imagine

There is very little room for Dante within the world of U Corp IDs... Here is my most beautiful worlds

-Dante is trying to pay off a guest and has the baffling ability to make money that has delayed the process by months and the hostage is like. Genuinely just a guest at this point because it's taken as a given that Dante will be able to meet the next threshold Somehow. The dynamic has stretched out long enough that basically everyone views it as paying rent to live on the port. Everyone knows Gregor is smitten but he won't admit it he just Hovers. Meaningfully. Looking so Dashing. One time he says he'll forgive the debt if Dante joins the pirates and Dante goes Uhm. No. And it gets under his skin so bad he can't work up the guts to ask them out to casual platonic dinner

-Dante is a whaler and notoriously helps tourists navigate the port streets without getting hostage kidnapped and gives paypigs jobs on their boat once they run out of cash. This is actually a small profit cycle so Hook has never minded it. Gregor starts allowing the paypigs to meet with the guests more often as an excuse to make Dante hang out with him and Talk Shop (putting them in charge of more boats with more people who can't afford to save their guests so Dante will have to spend more time with him). Dante isn't comfortable with being friendly with the Twinhook Pirates so doesn't let it escelate. Again, Gregor has to separate his status from his relationships and beg for it. It drives him crazy that Dante doesn't take advantage of this. Getting them to stop neutrally dismissing his overtures feels like he earned fucking deliverance

*I think I've already exhausted all the ways to express how much they belong together.

*Their dynamic is The One for me even though I don't actually believe in the concept.

*It took me about two years to start shipping them, slowly, at first I was like, besties-for-life, then I moved to something like queerplatonic partners, finally realising I just wanted to ship them very traditionally. Not that those other things are any lesser, I just needed steps because until then I was so boring I only shipped canon ships or ships that were hinted at in canon. KagaKuro was my first ever non-canon ship, out of anything. I had to break so many mental barriers to get there, I really worked for it, that's why my brain is forever attached.

*It was literally the joke from Izuki that opened the can of worms. My friend pointed out that they would be a good couple and sent me a song they jokingly associated with KagaKuro. It was some popular song, Sleeping With a Friend...? I'm bad with popular music. Anyway it was literally a joke first and then at some point I was like.... unless? (This is a theme with all my dearest headcanons, at first I think, no, never, then, oh well as a joke, then I begin to toy with the idea and it's a rabbit hole from there).

*I don't really see much fix-it potential in KnB in general because the whole story is like a fix-it fic. But if there's one thing to fix that relates to this ship it's that God damned Last Game ending. (So I did, of course.)

*I'm convinced they are so soft with each other when no one is looking that it's not even funny.

*Well yes, I'm thinking about them constantly. I'm a disabled neurodivergent who can't even drive and lives in the middle of nowhere, there's not that much I can do for stress relief so they are my stress relief. I'm making that sound like it's an excuse for my obsession but honestly I'm also just obsessed and there's no helping it.

*Yes they are exactly That Deep. And I bet I could convince some people who disagree, otherwise. (Because I already have.)

*I did say I realised I wanted to ship them very traditionally so yes they are getting married in my head.

*Literally wasn't sure if they wanted to fight when I was just introduced to them. Also wasn't sure if they wanted to fuck when I started shipping them and I needed to write about 300 000 words about them before I figured it out.

Have you read the 2003 rivalship fic “Shatter” on ff.net? If so, I’d like to hear your thoughts on it. It’s fever dream angst and imo one of the best works dedicated to the ship despite having been written 13 years before dsod’s release. It’s almost like a time capsule that shows how this author perceived the characters’ dynamic back then. I wonder where the writer is now and whether they’ve seen dsod along with Takahashi’s art featuring 22yo Yugi and Kaiba.

I haven't heard of it! I haven't looked at ff.net in years but it sounds interesting.

On a separate note, I don't really want to make a habit of discussing fics in public like this because, well, I am human, and sometimes I don't enjoy a fic for whatever reason - feelings we are all entitled to have about what we read, but which do not always need to be shared, and especially not in public arenas where, idk, maybe the author IS following me. i have X,000 followers, I don't know who's here. Très uncool situation for me and the author 🙃 so I prefer only to talk about fics by others that I feel really hype and excited about!

It's pretty much some random civilian who somehow survived the whole ordeal of town getting infected and all that.

In my head, the "funniest" part of my character dynamics with everyone else is that everyone is a professional of some kind. Everyone around knows how to use a gun (successfully).

They still are able to protect themselves despite their average stature they are pretty brutal.

In a game, my character would probably function like Ashley from re4 remake.

After each section of the level, they will give you some useful stuff (nothing that will be needed to progress in the game)

There will be some parts of the game when you can play as them to crawl somewhere or to help reach something.

Nothing lore heavy. After all, they're just a civilian.

Currently Watching: Till the End of the Moon officially but it’s so emotionally intense I take frequent breaks with other things, today I was rewatching No Doubt In Us because it’s so sweet and easy

Currently reading: hmmm actually actually read, or books that I really absolutely definitely have decided I want to start reading Very Soon and have strategically placed it in a pile in a high traffic area of my home, or theory/philosophy books I read a few pages of every few months for the last few years, or (probably danmei) novels that I read a chunk of several months ago and will read more but I just haven’t felt like it yet? because there are dozens of those :P ... actively finishing The Drawing Book by Tania Kovats, various mxtx novel fan fictions or akiangel chainsaw man fan fictions. constantly reading he xuan fan fic ! i just finished vol 2 of the manga Blissful Land, 18th century tibet-based slice of life, (a french translation I got to practice french). I have also been reading in abrupt starts and stops It Was Vulgar and It Was Beautiful, a book about ACT UP and how they used art in their activism in the AIDS crisis.

Current obsession: does this just mean an enthusiastic interest in a topic or something that is consuming you body and soul that you can't escape as much as you would like to while your proverbial wife and children cry themselves to sleep alone at night? tv and movies and music generally is the obsession that devours me, but oddly enough i have been somehow pretty balanced and chill about things lately ... i'm not even gripped with a fervour for he xuan meta as much. i AM often thinking/fantasizing about abandoning living in a city and for a life in the mythical countryside. reading/watching a lot of things about neurodivergence, adhd, trauma, climate change, social activism movements. past obsessions that don't feel as intense i still hold close to my heart: he xuan, the ocean, neanderthals, ancient cave paintings. uhh, coffee. i started taking a ceramics class and it's been really cool, I remember when i was deeply obsessed with the lascaux cave paintings how excited i was by how the drawings seemed so dynamic by how they sat on the three-dimensional and inconsistent surface of the cave in the lumps and hollows of the rock and I couldn't think of anything in the modern world in art in galleries where that was possible and felt this intense nostalgia for 30 000 years ago, but the other day i was like adfjladsjfadlskjf CLAY IS IT! and was getting excited about making a piece like the interior of a cave and drawing on it ... maybe it's a spark of a new obsession

ok now is the hard part. i am talkative but SHY!! there is a very small handful of mutuals who say things to me and feels very intense to tag any of the majority of my mutuals who appear in my notes often silently reblogging/liking my posts (as i do the same). i'm going to scroll my dash and when i see an avatar i have good associations with gonna tag you... sorry in advance for perceiving you. please ignore me if you want!

EDIT 12/28/23: Tweaked the Unpopular Opinion answer a bit because never say "never".

First impression: I somehow managed to get into GBF without actually seeing Sandalphon first, I think? On meeting him (or rather his cocoon) in Paradise Lost, I thought "He must be someone wonderful, if this angelic guy [Lucifer] is waiting so patiently for him."

Impression now: He is wonderful! He's the understudy to essentially the God of Evolution, takes assuming the role deathly seriously, and comes up with insane plans on the fly. (Sandalphon: Shark Puncher!) Also he gets airsick despite having wings. XD

Favorite moment: So many. I think the one that sticks out the most for me though is the scene with him and Lucifer in 000. "And now you know that I know what you know. What nonsense." The scene in Paradise Lost when Lyria convinces him to leave the cocoon is also amazing!

Idea for a story: ...I have a lot for him too, but they're not coherent yet. ^^; Maybe more with the Sleeping Beauty Trilogy AU?

Unpopular opinion: There's no beating around the bush with this one, unfortunately. The incessant complaints from way-too-intense Lucifer/Sandalphon fans about his Valentine's unit really made me want to write them with other people. Or if I do write it, they're in an open relationship. Or NTR with Belial? They can still be each other's guiding light and solace, I'd just rather Sandy not be constantly grieving. Lucifer would hate that...

Favorite relationship: His dynamic with Lyria is wonderful, whether romantic or not. (Or both! Both can work. Sandy/Lyria/Lucifer in any configuration is also adorable.)

Favorite headcanon: He still has his "sadism hobby", he just reserves it for the bedroom now. Belial annoyed him to no end, you see, and he refuses to bring about comparisons. XD

I think the Buckley siblings are definitely upper class and they never really had to worry about money. Not because of the down payment on the house, because of everything. We know Buck had college money and he spent them on his bike and going around the world to find yourself is not really something people who struggle with money do. Also I think both SEAL training and FIRE academy aren’t free and that’s not really something you can pay with bartending tips. Buck entire lifestyle is very rich kid coded: moving out of a house you don’t pay to an apartment you rent for sentimental reasons, planning hot balloon dates, suing the LAFD (lawyers are very expensive) and his whole vibe.

Sorry, this answer is long! 9-1-1 isn't particularly known for its accuracy regarding the earnings of first responders. We forgive that because it's fictional.

Update: According to their website, All LAFD programs are free aside from the $73 signup fee and also states, 'The Department does not charge for any of our recruitment and mentoring services.'

The Buckley siblings are not trustfund babies. I’m not saying their parents aren't well-off, I don’t doubt that, but it doesn't mean they shared their wealth with their adult children (until helping Madney with the deposit.) I’m saying ‘adult�� because I believe while they were growing up, the parents funded everything parents are expected to: clothes, food, etc.

Let’s work with what we know. In Buck Begins, Maddie says ‘I'm gonna go nights so I can work during the day, pay for it myself. That way, I won't need to ask Mom and Dad for anything ever again.” I’m guessing that despite their parents doing their bare minimum of what is expected, they weren’t too kind about it, highlighted by how Maddie says this line. She knows she’ll either not get the financial support from her parents, in becoming a nurse, or they’ll complain about it if they do. So, she goes it alone, deciding to almost work twenty-four days so she doesn’t have to ask them for money!

In 4x04, while arguing with his parents, he says this, “She married Doug, and you cut her off.” Maddie was married to Doug for eleven years, that’s eleven years no contact with her parents, after they cut her off. Cut off contact, and likely cut any kind of financial support. They wanted nothing to do with her, as Buck repeatedly points out in this scene.

What about Boston? I’ve seen that so many times on twitter. How did Maddie afford to live in Boston for six months and get expensive medical treatment? Doug’s life insurance. She received $400, 000. She says in 5x13, “I used most of my savings when I left,” which matches the belief that she used this money to fund her care in Boston.

Now, you’re right about Buck’s college tuition money. “Maybe you use your tuition money to make some cool modifications on your bike.” We don’t know for sure if this was entirely funded by his parents or if he had student loans. Since I am British, all I know about college is from movies, apparently some parents will keep college funds aside from their children as standard. So perhaps, yes, he did have a tuition fee paid by his parents, which maybe is why he rebelled. Remember this is young, angry and restless Buck, he was likely to burn through that money like it meant nothing, because being reckless or getting hurt, was his way of gaining his parents attention.

But more importantly, is what happened next. When Buck leaves Hershey, Maddie gives him her Jeep and some of her own money. “Look, I can give you a little bit of money to get started, and then you can go anywhere you want.” It is Maddie who funds Buck’s ticket out of that house, giving up her two means of escape. Savings she had, from working her arse off in Boston and as a nurse! Now, Buck’s dynamic with his sister, is so different to his parents. He likely kept that money very safe and was incredibly frugal because Maddie gave it to him. So, it was more special.

Quite explicitly, we see that Buck never settles down when he’s on the road. He goes, from one place, to the next, to the next. Picking up many jobs. Likely couch surfing, sleeping in the jeep, or cheap motels, Buck didn’t have hefty bills to pay! He could save up, on the road. All those years of traveling around, and saving would fund NAVY Seals and Firefighter training. What also helped, is he lived in a Frat House, not making him financially liable for all the bills, which were split evenly across all the guys. Then he lived in Abby’s apartment, where once again, he wasn’t paying any bills. With a fireman’s salary, while living in a frat house, and sharing the bills, he likely found it easier to save. Making it easier to fund a hot air balloon ride, a nice studio apartment, and then a lawyer!

They do call Buck's place a "frat house," but I'm not sure how true that was, but if it was an actual frat house and he didn't make any payments, that's more savings. But I don't think he wanted to stay in the frat house.

Buck also couch-surfed in LA! He lived with Chimney and then Maddie, for a considerable amount of time before ever moving into his apartment. Time he likely spent saving.

Anyway, that’s what we know. I still can’t ever believe the Buckley parents ever set up trustfunds. Neither Maddie nor Buck saw a dime after they left or were cut off. Not until more recently now that the Buckley Parents are attempting to make an effort. Still, Buck and Maddie grew up self-efficient, relying on each other, not their parents.

On an unrelated note, I would be interested to see a storyline of when one of their parents passes away though. If they do get left with money, I wonder if it would strike up the argument that money doesn't fix all the problems and neglect they experienced during their childhood and beyond.

HELLO THERE ANON YES I HAVE BEEN HOLDING ONTO THIS HEADCANON FOR 2 YEARS. i think it's a fun way to interpret both their characters for like. So Many Reasons. one of the main ones being just. the parallels. the fucking parallels.

silver gets pushed into strength via his abandonment and ends up consistently losing to trainers better than him that actually know what love and trust is — something that he as an abused 11 year old has never experienced — but he learns and gets better, and he gets surrounded by people who actually care about him and encourage him to take the time to care for others instead.

moon gets pushed into strength by the adults surrounding them and they don't stop winning, they don't stop winning all the way to the champion role. they get pushed into just taking in more and more and more pokemon regardless of if they can take care of them or not and they get pushed and forced into being stronger despite the fact that hey they just wanted a pokemon and to have fun battling.

they counter each other in such a fascinating way that i think interpreting them as siblings would add another layer of interest to the dynamic — especially since:

a) usum has team rainbow rocket, and alola is meant to resemble kanto & johto a lot in terms of plot beats and characters actually — so there's already a pretty strong connection there

b) similar abandonment issues. which would definitely be made even worse by moon needing to leave to alola. like imagine you're silver who watched your father walk out of your life only to watch your little sibling also walk out of it and to another region. fucking brutal

c) also imagine watching said little sibling immediately become the fucking Champion and successfully beating the shit out of your father at an age where you failed to do so because they, unlike you, actually had a loving parent at a young age

and on the flip side for moon? being related to giovanni makes everything so much harder like. holy shit! *but*, it also makes them a more interesting parallel to lillie and gladion, since lusamine and giovanni have a lot of similarities. like.

imagine you and your mom leave to another region because your dad was like. the leader of the fucking mafia. and in said new region you end up taking down like 2 evil teams one of whom is very similar to your dad in terms of unethical pokemon experimentation and child abuse (let's be so fr giovanni wasn't a good father. just Look at silver.)

inly to need to fight an alternate version of said dad (i like to combine usum and sumo via sumo's plot + with rainbow rocket) who trying to take over the world and tries to recruit you into his evil team. like. yikes!

especially with the gym leader who took over your dad's position now Also having quit being the gym leader and also living in the region. fun !

but also aside from that i feel like their dynamic could be really fun if you focus just on them being siblings. like. moon is canonically a cocky little shit (the dialogue options are so funny in sumo. especially the Literally Canon ones) and pair that with silver? oh. they'd be so fucking funny.

and also if you believe in dad lance (i do) that makes the funniest fucking family tree. these 2 kids are the children of leader of team rocket giovanni. oh also 1 of them got adopted by the champion of the region. yeah the other went on to become the champion of another region. oh yeah they also befriended one of the strongest trainers. oh and the one who got adopted is rivals and friends with the strongest trainer. the one who became the champion also has like 10 000 legendaries yeah.

"With this video I want to help to get rid of bad warm-ups which can be a time waste at best and an injury risk at worst. So, let's dive in!

The main points:

- Warm-Ups are important.

- A warm-up should prepare both physically and mentally for the specific activity.

- General warm-up exercises like jogging are not time-efficient or task-specific.

- Fitness & flexibility training should be separated from warm-ups.

- Design specific games or do light bouts for a more efficient warm-up.

- Short dynamic stretching and specific drills & games might be sufficient as well.

- Keep warm-ups fun, light, specific, and time-efficient." Obviously individuals may need more individualized approaches to warm ups that may be less 'task-specific' or take more time etc. due to various injuries etc. and everyone should feel free to do what they need to warm up physically and mentally. However obviously we should try and optimize the types of specialized warm ups and we may fine-tune what we personally need but the overall points made in the video are excellent.

Ooouh boy what a tale what a tale!

Under the cut because i rambled but the short story, is, my two best friends lured me in with one of my fav trope, with gorgeous men, and with indulging into my seiyuu madness.

the longer story:

The two main culprits in getting me into Granblue are two of my bestest friends, @/nalhegrande (Suzu) and @/baconplasm (Bacon). We've been friends since 2015 or so, we met via the dgm fandom revival of the time, and we've been tight knit ever since. Also at the time my blog was very ff7 themed and my url was a reference to it, which also got the two of them interested in it (relevant to the story)

anyway back in 2019 was my major Hypmic phase, so i was starting to really be into seiyuu then (and i was a huge huge fan of Saito Soma as a result). Suzu and Bacon both were playing Granblue a lot.

First thing that happened was around Granblue's 5th anni, March 2019, when 000 came out, and Suzu was reading Paradise Lost in preparation. Because Suzu busted into my DMs going "ICHA YOU WONT BELIEVE IT, SAKURAI AND SUZUKEN ARE DOING LIVING LEGACY STUFF AGAIN". Because Suzu, knowing me from my "living legacy" url days, knew exactly how to hit me with a truck, as i've been obsessed with over a decade with that trope i saw in ff7 of "the person you looked up to and cared about died in your arms and the only way you can cope is to become their legacy, to become them. But you need to find yourself again.". Which was originated by characters Suzuken and Sakurai voiced at the time.

(Suzuken and Sakurai who themselves were also there during the dgm days. the rabbit hole runs deep. dgm also has Living Legacy tropes to it btw to express how on brand it is for me. And while their characters are super important to me (my current url is a reference to the character Suzuken used to voice, it IS one of the most important character in my life), i did discover them with their roles in ff7, who genuinely shaped my life, so telling me they were replaying the same dynamic somewhere else was a siren song.)(yes that's why i never lived down the Sakurai incident lol.)

Anyway because i'm a sucker for those plots, Suzu explained it to me in major details and in tears, of Paradise Lost AND of Zero and i couldn't help but be invested, so i definitely developped an affection for Sandalphon and Lucifer just then.

(Suzu killed me by mentioning that one of my fav song, that i associated to my Living Legacy pair over here, also fit Lucifer and Sandalphon, and it immediately won me over. Stream Saturn by Sleeping at Last.)

But at the time i wasn't really fan of gacha on principle, so i didn't want to get into it, and everything to get into seemed tedious (i was seeing them tweeting raid battles everytime and all i thought was "yeah no i do not want to be perceived, hard pass"). So eventually while i thought about checking it out, i didn't actually feel like it.

Flashforward a few months during the Summer season. I see the two of them regularly lose their mind over their favorite characters. (at the time Suzu was mainly focusing on Heles and Cain. I say "at the time" because Wilnas is now one of her main husband and he wasn't even a raid battle back then. And Bacon is a Vane stan through and through and a fan of the Knights by extension.). Both of them also really like Percival!

(also yes they posted about Belial once i a while, and i knew more or less his deal then, but i admit he didn't do anything to me then. this might be the most shocking part of this story considering literally everything about this blog, and also the fact he started haunting my dreams before i officially read wmtsb, and i haven't caught a break since.)

anyway Summer 2019 was the year of LanVane SR Unit AND Percival's EX summer art. And of Summer Sandalphon while at it.

so all of those things were flooding my TL on twitter. Just couldn't scroll anywhere without seeing those.

I cared for Sandalphon thanks to Suzu at this point so i was *points* everytime i was seeing him. I've identified Vane as Bacon's boy so i was fully seeing him as a Blorbo in law at this point.

But it was my first time running into Lancelot and Percival.

And i fell in love with Percival in this one singular art.

Like i looked at it thinking he was the single most gorgeous man that had ever graced my screen. Everytime my friends were retweeting this picture i would freeze a second and stare at it mumbling "it can't be right".

Eventually i shot Bacon a message about it especially since she was the one posting most about it. But i did one slight mistake when i told her "yeah that guy you keep posting? i think i have a case of the down bad, can you tell me more about him" -------- i mixed up Lancelot's and Percival's names.

And so instead she mostly shared Lancelot and Vane stuff, and i didn't realize it was because i was wrong on the name, i just thought she went on a tangent. But because i was interested suddenly Bacon tried to grapple me in by doing what Granblue Fans do best: "if you think he's pretty WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT HIM--" and she shared pictures of various characters, including, of course, Mister Sieg's Yukata art. (while i was losing my mind because i knew his VA (Kakashi from Naruto's fame, Angeal from ff7) so it was also a thing)

Anyway also this was the funniest bit of this exchange:

you'll notice that because she just called Percival "that bitch" and because i mixed up the names causing a misunderstanding well. She couldn't properly exploit my thirsting on Percival's summer art. And Belial had to insert himself in this conversation first.

... and that's the day i started the game. or, at least, made an account.

I got very lost at the time, so the three of us made a group chat then to keep discussing gameplay stuff, and well, about anything under the sun.

They held my hand through it slowly, i participated to the summer free pulls (falling in love with Summer!Rosetta this way) and all... but i didn't play long enough to be hooked so i ended up falling off, but with the promise to my friends i'll get to it eventually.

Percival, most gorgeous man on earth, was slipping through my fingers.....

(though eventually misunderstanding was cleared lmao and friends were like "yeah actually that tracks, but we won't say a word, just come and see him")

Anyway i was hard in hypmic at the time, and especially into Saito Soma's career as a singer because of it. So my friends were also trying desperately to hook me in with various characters that shared those seiyuu, the biggest catch at the time being Shiva.

Because Soma's character then only had a SR and very little important contents. It took a few years for Feather to get some serious stories after all :). (plus he is in a total different range than i'm used to when it comes to that) (also ironically i kept pulling Randall's units over Feather's units, which originally annoyed me but then i found it really funny i kept pulling the guy who wanted to see Feather and couldn't find him. the irony of the fact i had songs by the two of them (and Lu Woh's VA) on my phone at the time escaped me for about a year (bc i admit i wasn't a major fan of the music unfortunately), where Randall was still my underrated R/SR fav character, not ready to handle the fact his seiyuu was going to play my favorite a3's character and definitely ruin my life the moment i realized he was there in gbf being a fav all along.)

On this journey, because i listened to a lot of others Soma's bands, one of the major draw ended up being the fact i listened to another band he was in with Eguchi Takuya, so when Bacon started to talk about Vane's seiyuu, i was here and armed with "oh yeah i have flirty songs by him" and having this torture device (affectionate) was a huge motivation to get into gbf even more to bully my dear friend.

then in September/October A3 came out and it ate my life away so it halted me getting more into gbf at this point (and EguTaku being in it i could still continue my torture agenda)(we all kinda got in it so it was still madness.)

Anyway then again in my usual fashion of "i don't get into hyperfixation, hyperfixation gets to me (by hunting me down for sports)" i ended up randomly having a dream about Percival, which i totally forgot about, but i was so worked up about it i grabbed the game again in November 2019 and just binged a chunk of the main story and the Dragon Knights events.

This whole mess was its own long story, because it turned out i didn't end up liking Percival in his first event appearance and i was betrayed as hell, but BFAF made me reconsider everything about him and now i'm a Percival expert and lover. But my friends were then allowed to see me in full downspiral.

But it sealed my fate. After that, i was too hooked and i didn't want to leave anymore. And while i took some breaks here and there bc of burn out, i've been playing Granblue daily ever since.

then in December or January (right in time for Light GW then) Suzu dragged me into her crew, and Bacon joined in eventually - and since both of our crew had the same problem (half of our crew was inactive, the other half was tight knit though), we ended up merging the crews' active players together, and now here we are and we've been at it for years.

(and i've read wmtsb around February/March 2020 for the full timeline - since 000 and the maydays weren't in the sidestories i had to watch them on youtube then too. I know it was the date bc it was right in time for Seeds of Redemption, the 6th anni event, and it was the most emotionally overloaded period for me as a result lmao. But it basically sealed my fate then, no way i turn away from this game after just how emotionally packed this one month was.).

so that's the long story.

the short story:

My two best friends informed me of a lovestory's trope similar to the one story that destroyed my life, of the most gorgeous man on earth, and fed right into my seiyuu madness, and now i'm stuck here with all of you to discuss Belial's balls.

the more you know, and now you know who to blame. (be nice to them, or else 🔪.)
