#i neeeeed fig to go indie it’s her destiny#she promises each of them that she’ll dedicate at least one song to them and then dedicates a track to each of them individually#sklondas seething a tiny bit that she called riz the ball but he won’t stop playing it so it keeps getting stuck in her head#adaine summons mephits to help with her track#you can hear her in the background near the end yelling ‘yeah!’ and ‘fuck off!’#fabian wanted his to sound like a shanty but fig said it wouldn’t go with the vibe of the album#they eventually compromised by having the noise of waves and seagulls subtly in the background throughout#kristen actually cried the first time fig played the ballad of lucy frostblade for them#summer scaries sounds like an olivia rodrigo song#gorgug gets a sick drum solo in raging for love#time quangle opens with fire crackling and a bird cawing and a quiet clip of ayda saying ‘I love you’ before the instrumental starts#fig stuck a quiet sound clip of gilear saying ‘oh fuck’ and then a louder sound clip of her saying ‘oh fuck!’ in cursed#devils nectar is one of the slower tracks on the album#hall of mirrors is heavily inspired by the events at evil mordred and baron so you can hear a lot of influences from baronesian music in it#fig has a fucking sick as hell guitar solo and a couple of samples from just the bottomless pit in general in infaethable#Gorthalax also gets some lyrical input on it#fig manages to get a clip of riz saying ‘the ball bitch!’ to kalvaxus in freshman year to put in fury of the ball#is this too long for an album? maybe but who cares I love this#a good portion of the profits made from the album goes towards college for the party#having thoughts about fig and the cig fig’s Junior year album#autism (mads) speaks#fantasy high#fhjy#fig faeth#fantasy high junior year#dimesnion 20#d20 fantasy high#fig and the cig figs

On a Genshin Poll from a while ago, you said that you could talk about Xinyan way more and it would be nice hear those thoughts! Xinyan is one of favorite Genshin characters (her design is so cool) so if you don't mind talking about her more, I'd love to hear it!
oh i didnt mean xinyan specifically in general i like talking about design (critiquing.nitpicking.praising.etc) so it really extends to most any of the characters. but you asked about xinyan so ill talk about xinyan. design wise shes very nice to look at for. her colors are all so warm with one of my favorite palettes (black/red/white). shes on the simple side compared to alot of other characters and i think its nice makes her alot easier to draw. pretty easy design to remember. for me anyway (big sleeves/braids.big collar. big hair.spikes) i dont really need to give specific reasons tbh her design is just really good. one of the pyro characters ever
#and shes brown always a huge plus for me 👍🏾 id be willing to say shes black coded whether that was intentional or not idk but the way they#did her thats how it came off. brown girl pioneering rock music yeah. along with other things but thats the big one#her designs just really solid its not too crowded and you can tell what shes supposed to be for the most part. u can tell shes punk at the#very least you may not entirely get rockstar without the guitar but she does have the drum#which makes noise as she runs. i love the sound design regarding the characters accessories i thought that was so cool when i first started#playing. i love xinyan alot wish she got more screen time#and wish the time she did get was alongside characters i liked better everything hoyo does is to spite me#sorry game opinions leaking in#most of the reason i like xinyans design really boils down to her being brown and rocker/punk ill always eat that up#asks#anon#oo also fun lil detail i think ppl miss w xinyan is that her eyebrows have lil slits in them some official art leaves it out too#i think it gives her character ^^#mhy

April 1960: John and Paul record a band practice on a Grundig reel-to-reel recorder at the McCartney home. Contributors are in dispute but are thought to include at least Stuart Sutcliffe on bass. The tape of this practice ends up in Astrid Kirchherr's possession and may have been a practice tape for Stuart as he was learning bass. It’s later released as part of a bootleg, The Braun-Kirchherr Tapes.

Sometimes I think there are certain parts of Wolf 359 that feel so familiar to me that I almost forget what they are like the first time round.
Like, I've just been thinking about how in the finale, after Minkowski gets shot, we don't hear any noise from her all through Cutter's gloating speech. We hear her gasp as the bullet hits and the show immediately cuts away to a different scene. Then when we rejoin the confrontation with Cutter, we don't hear Minkowski make any noise - not even a groan of pain or a laboured breath - for over a minute. And because it's an audio drama, this means that we don't have any direct indication of just how injured she is, of whether she's fully conscious, of whether she's even still alive. Lovelace's reactions can't tell us much while she's struggling against Cutter's control. And I wouldn't put it past Cutter to gloat to someone unconscious.
The first noise we do hear Minkowski make after being shot in the stomach - the first proof we have that she's still with us - is her gathering her strength and declaring "Renée Minkowski... and that is more than enough to kick your ass!", before punching Cutter. Which is always an incredibly powerful moment. But there's a particular power to it when it also serves as the reveal that Minkowski is still conscious and able to put up resistance. The moment when she asserts her ownership of her own identity feels almost like a moment of rising from the potentially-dead.
#Wolf 359#w359#I think it's an intentional choice as well#The sound design in this show is always intentional#and realistically a person who has just been shot could well make a lot of pained noises#It's a kind of restraint that they don't do that#I'm banging my 'unique power of audio drama' drum again and always#You can't really do things like this in other mediums in the same way#Of course the camera can avoid showing a character or you can avoid describing what state they are in#but that's conspicuous in a way that this isn't#In those cases you feel like something is being deliberately kept from you#but in this kind of scene it feels more like the information you're after just isn't accessible to you#so the uncertainty has a different feel to it#Anyway. I can't fully remember#but I think when I first heard that gunshot I did think she might be dead#The moment of 'Isabel. Shoot her' . gunshot.
