My Commentary: This small but significant sequence takes place not long after Koushiro is revealed to be a canon Adoptee. Mrs. Izumi is fully aware that Koushiro has accepted Mrs. Izumi (+Izumis both) as Koushiro's true parent{s}, however, we are not given indication that the other supporting characters were actually told about 'the secret' of Koushiro's. Shin's surprise, in that regard, can hardly be held too much against Shin - which Mrs. Izumi eventually quickly recognizes, dropping the argument and frustration - Shin was likely completely unaware how strongly Mrs. Izumi felt during these moments, while Mrs. Izumi was likely running on pure adrenaline responding!

Mrs. Izumi, in the original version, is also using a neutrally polite speech pattern that is overall appropriate when speaking to children; Koushiro, in the original, is also known for speaking throughout the entire series with a formal and polite pattern that is "unusual" for Koushiro's age, while it's more "typical" for Mrs. Izumi to use similar in this sequence.

Shin Kido, Jou's 2nd eldest sibling closer in age, the 2nd born of the three Kidos, is the sibling who appears throughout Adventure Episodes 35~39 and later Adventure-specific episodes (such as flashback sequence in Dark Masters arc) specifically. In the 2nd sequel series, "02", Jou's oldest sibling, Shuu, was introduced. The U. S. dub combined "Shin" and "Shuu" into "Jim", a singular character, but they were actually two separate siblings! (Thus, Jou is speaking to Shin as if Shin is the younger of the two siblings, addressing Shin commonly with a 'casual' "Nii-san", though in this scene, Jou sounds surprisingly more 'assured' and perhaps a slight bit 'full of' self, but is quickly grounded by Sora and Mimi not long after.)

the last time i engaged hard with fandoms, like. i was baffled and appalled by how getting that many people fixated on one thing spawns dogshit takes, fanon, and trends at a rate that boiled u like a frog if u checked tags every day but was objectively insane from the outside. its so fast. the less of a media to obsess over, the worse it gets. two shippable white dudes? fucking calamity. and yeah, absolutely any challenging material is either sanded off, elided, or examined in the worst faith you could imagine. both experiences started euphoric as i got social engagement that lit up my dopamine-seeking brain like christmas, and then law of large numbers eventually made it so there was no amount of cool mutuals or number go up to outweigh the braindead posting.

all this to say there are maybe 3 people on earth i want to see bg posting from and everyone else i am holding at gunpoint. no trigger discipline. they say anything lacking basic critical thinking about a dnd character and whatever happens, happens

One thing I'll never get enough of is beautiful and soft music played in the background of a tragic or bittersweet scene. It brings out so much more angst and pain and I fucking love it!

And another thing I like?

When NO music is played during an emotional and perhaps tragic moment is happening. The only sounds being either the characters' voices or the rain or the wind. A really good example I could think of is Meruem's and Komugi's last moments.

That shit was powerful af

lately i've been thinking a bit about force ghosts obikin + luke especially! i'd been thinking a lot about anakin and luke's relationship after the whole thing u know? i think it'd be a very interesting relationship, with neither knowing how to navigate it.

luke's all holy shit, that's my dad. that he's finally getting to know outside of the whole vader thing. meanwhile anakin is 45 and never fucking learned how to properly form relationships.

and like, anakin loves luke!!! he loves him so much!! but i think he'd have a very hard time actually expressing that and dealing with the whole thing

so i feel like obi-wan would def act as some kind of glue between them, a way for them to connect through him.

and well, in the midst of all that, i feel like luke, getting to spend time with force ghosts obikin, would start noticing the ways obi-wan and anakin interact, and how there is something definitely going on between them. the heated loving looks, the lingering touches, the casual intimacy. ben had never mentioned anything about it. but the affection in his words and the longing when he'd talk to him about anakin. it all kinda seems to click.

luke....doesn't know how to feel about it. he feels? weird?

and it's not even jealousy? or is it jealousy? bc he had been a bit interested in obi-wan. so was learning that obi-wan was taken by someone (his dad) making him feel jealous?

but. it isn't that.

sure, everytime obi-wan holds anakin's face, and grips his skin a bit too hard, and stares at him like that. and anakin gasps against his touches, his skin flushes, arousal running through his veins (luke can feel it through the force) (a bit too much) he sometimes wishes to have some of that warmth, too. maybe he was just lonely and wanted someone, too (han and leia had been especially annoying about that lately)

but, there's something else.

bc luke's slowly realizing that his eyes are lingering on anakin, his father, for moments that stretch out a bit too long (anakin was beautiful. it was hard for anyone to not be entranced by his effortless beauty). still, there is smth about his father that pulls at every fiber of his being. he wouldn't be able to take off his eyes even if he wanted to. he wouldn't be able to stop the desire from spreading through him even if he wanted to.

and fuck, luke wants him.

and then we have anakin, who is an incredibly possessive lover. and that goes for all types of love. luke is his son, he is anakin's (like obi-wan is as well). and anakin wants luke. wants ALL of luke. it's what's rightfully his, his creation (his son, not anybody else's)

and when anakin wants something, the Force will give it to him

#i guess this does tie to that hc of mine of anakin linking ALL types of love to sex #so the same goes with his kids #i may have talked more about analuke here #but well that's actually what i had been mostly thinking about that and how their relationship must've become after ep 6 #bc like!!! ofc they must have interacted!! and i'm sure it must've been a mess!!!!#like!!! imagine disaster man anakn with fucking kids i still cant believe this man was allowed to have children #i mean he wasn't #that's quite a huge thing that happened but u know what i mean #as for obi-wan well he's just there lmao (living my dreams 🙄)#bc well obi-wan is anakin's. given to anakin's desires. and if anakin wants this #if the Force is giving it to him who is he to come in between that.#i think we can't have anything between anakin/luke or obi-wan/luke without involving all 3 of them tbh #obi-wan is a very important figure for skywalkers haha they dont exist without him #anaobiluke #f.ask #bruh now im consumed by thoughts of obiluke double dicking anakin #why must we live only to be plagued by h orny visions that we cannot bring out to the world #analuke
