✨️ The Glory Part 2 ✨️ “The Glory Part 2” has unveiled new character posters and a teaser ! The newly released posters for Part 2 feature Moon Dong Eun with each of eight characters who are deeply intertwined with her. Among the characters in solidarity with Moon Dong Eun are Joo Yeo Jeong, Kang Hyeon Nam (Yeom Hye Ran), and Ha Do Yeong (Jung Sung Il). In each of the three posters, Moon Dong Eun stands on the right side and faces them either with a warm gaze or a gentle smile. The texts on the top-center of the posters that read, “She is my salvation,” “Happy I started to dream,” and “I don’t like saying that I don’t know something, but I don’t know yet,” seem to describe the thoughts of Joo Yeo Jeong, Kang Hyun Nam, and Ha Do Young, respectively, regarding Moon Dong Eun. this show was brutal. Definitely one of the best well crafted revenge shows out there for 2022 & 2023.

송혜교가 가해자들에게 하는 복수들 | 더 글로리 | 넷플릭스

이열. 넷플릭스 결제해서 보고 싶지만 너무 딥빡일 것 같은 전개라. 김은숙 작가님은 스릴러에 체질이신 듯. 다른 배우분들 다 연기 너무 잘하고 스토리도 탄탄하지만 난 여기서 '최혜정' 연기하는 '차주영' 배우님 연기가 제일 취향. 그 연기 톤이 말이 안 돼. 그러니 내 눈엔 네가 얼마나 얄밉겠니, 우리 스튜어디스 혜정아~

친구랑 예전에 했던 대화들이 떠오른다. 일진들에 대한 대화 주제가 나오면(실제 인물이 아니라 '일진'이란 단어 자체에 대해) 친구가 그랬지.

"그런 애들이 커서 뭐가 되겠니."

이랬는데 드라마 장면들 보니까 그런 년놈들이 커서 더 잘 살고 있을까 봐 또 빡치네요. 제발 구원 받지도 회개 받지도 말고 다 죗값 받길.

전 교회에 심취해서 다니는 많은 사람들과 그런 면에서 안 맞는다고 (그 외에도 안 맞는 걸 얘기하자면 끝이 없지만) 누누이 말하잖아요. 자기가 무슨 죄를 지어도 신이 용서해줬다고 하면 모든 게 끝이라고 믿는 것. '신의 소리를 들었어' 하면서 저지르는 모든 일에 정당성을 부여하는 것. 십자군 전쟁을 보라고요. 히틀러를 보라고요. 부시 전 대통령을 보라고요. 역사가 말해줌. 실제로 미국 교도소 죄수들의 90%가 훨씬 넘는 비율이 신을 믿는다고 읽은 것 같다. 자기가 어떤 벌을 저질러도 하나님이란 빽이 자길 지켜줄 거란 믿음, 내가 열심히 기도하면 이 죄를 다 씻을 거란 믿음(=ㅅ=) 그건 네 마음의 소리를 멋대로 해석해서 실생활에 주입시키는 거 아니냐고.

난 '복수'에 대해 관심이 없지만(사실 내가 복수 안 해도 날 괴롭히던 사람들은 알아서 내 사람들이 복수해주고 있어서 신경 쓸 필요가 없음) '동은이'처럼 당한 사람이 있으면 꼭 복수를 하라고 하고 싶다. 다만 동은이가 좋은 면은 그런 일이 있어도 바르게 컸다는 거다. 나쁜 것들을 가까이해 스스로를 파괴하지도 않고 여전히 고운 심성을 유지한 채. 그래서 복수도 악역에게만 하려고 한다. 그게 쉽지 않거든. 분풀이의 대상을 만들지 않는다는 것이. 와우.

현실에서도 피해자가 그랬으면 좋겠다. 복수를 하는데서 자신은 망가뜨리지 않되, 꼭 자길 괴롭힌 사람들은 싹 싸잡아서 구렁텅이로 처넣을 수 있길. 그게 학교 폭력이든 뭐든, 억울하게 당하기만 한 모든 일에서 말이다. 그리고 본인은 그것과 별개로 꼭! 잘 살아야 함. 자긴 성공하고 좋은 사람들 만나고 꿈도 이뤄야 하지만, 자길 괴롭힌 사람들은 지옥 끝까지 밀어넣어야만 진정한 복수가 된다고 생각한다. 나 또한 그렇고. 나도 내 갈 길 잘 가잖아요? 반면 날 괴롭힌 사람은 족치고. ('난 가만 있고 걔가 괴롭혔는데 왜 내가 당하고만 있어?' 하는 심리지) 마인드를 둘로 나누어야 한다는 거다.

아오, 그리고 박연진 개 얄미워!!!! (=임지연 배우님에게 악감정 없고 연기를 너무 잘하신다는 말) 드라마 캐릭터들 보면서 이런저런 생각이 많아져서 써본다.

The Glory ‘Netflix Korea’ is seriously a fxcked up revenge show, it's worth watching.

Be warned!!! those 'flash back scenes' are tough to watch.

It sickens me that there are groups of individuals like these in schools or colleges.

Tougher punishment is needed!! this thing about them being minors need to stop, bullying is not a mistake. It’s something they choose to do to inflict pain on other(s). 

Looking forward to seeing part 2.. it ended on a cliff hanger.. holy shit.
