I feel like you may have written this already so feel to link it if you did. It's a pretty drastic lifestyle change, right? Soldier to concubine. Hob’s been marching and fighting for most of his life and his body is the proof. He's lean and muscular, and he always looks a little bit hungry. It's something that Dream admires when he's first presented with Hob as a warprize, but it's not something he's fixated on. In fact, his attraction to Hob develops and grows as they grow to know each other, and as Hob gets comfortable with his life in the palace.
Getting regular meals is a revelation for Hob and he's constantly telling Dream about how good the food is, how he feels so spoiled. Dream thinks its very sweet of him to be excited about something so simple. He starts paying attention to Hob’s meals and adding treats that he thinks his prize might enjoy. It becomes a rather intimate part of their relationship, and mealtimes become Hob’s favourite thing partly because he's guaranteed to see Dream! It makes his heart flutter!
Without a full regime of training, marching and fighting, Hob’s body is bound to change.
