Aizawa wasn't sure how much Kirishima could hear, given his injuries, but he kept his voice down as he responded to Hitoshi's plea to save him. "You know I don't do that."

"You did for me!" Hitoshi hissed, not bothering to control his own volume.

"That was an exception."

Hitoshi growled in the back of his throat. "Why me and not him?! It's my fault he's this hurt, he was protecting me, we can't let him die!"

"I'm not authorized to Sire more than one person, Recovery Girl can-"

"There's no time, she's halfway across the city and he's dying NOW!"

There was a long moment of silence from Aizawa before he sighed, using a single fang to slice open his wrist. Thick black blood oozed from the wound. "He's lost enough blood that I shouldn't need to bite him for this to work... Kirishima, I need you to open your mouth and drink this, now."

So this is how it all ended, huh? One hit too many from some threat he'd sworn he'd totally had handled, but ultimately hadn't been enough to. Like a certain teacher had explicitly warned would happen, as a result of his recklessness. Man, his mama was gonna be so mad at him once she got a load of what happened. When was she not though- No, wait. Forget her, Aizawa would definitely chew him the hell out over this. Which was even worse, because he didn’t want the guy to dislike him more than he felt he already did. The man was always so damn stern, it was just the worst...

Well, not that he would ever regret a damn thing. And hey, all that was later Kirishima's problem. Assuming there’d BE a later. Right now, he really...really wanted to sleep off all the pain and heaviness-

A slight whine rose in his throat at his name, eyes scrunching shut. Shit, that...that sounded an awful lot like the last person he wanted to see right now. Why, he was just...he was finally about to get a decent sleep! Maybe he was...just dreaming? Did that happen this quick???

Yeah...only in a dream would Aizawa be offering a nice drink right about now, instead of yelling or scolding him for whatever reason-

“H...h-hnnh?” A grimace tugged at Eijiro’s lips as he shakily opened his mouth. “Wh’ve y’...y’g–?”

Okay something I just noticed on my billionth rewatch but like….

Jess makes a point to insist “this isn’t about him!…this is about you, Rory!” talking about what’s up with her & where she’s at and it’s the final catalyst for really thinking about it. Amd when she voices it to Logan like, I think I may not be happy with my choice, and he makes it about him. The “don’t blame me, you chose this…don’t you dare blame me.” And the thing is….she doesn’t. Because it’s not about him it’s about her! And Jess can see that but Logan can’t.

hey does anyone ever think about this. Like. Logistically. Because ok like we can see the blood right, like the not insignificant amount of blood. Like. like that’s not a small wound, that’s a whole ass gouge in his arm and potentially actually multiple gouges. So the thing is we know at least with his regular amount of power and him knowing the attack was coming, the catgun leaves a welt - probably the same severity as if a regular person were hit with a belt.

and so right my thing is, how did he get that whole ass gouge in his arm, severe enough that blood was running all down his arm and onto the floor. (I have enough experience with injuries to know that does generally require a decent wound, also it’s a manga so that kind of imagery is intended to indicate a significant injury so)

Bc. Like i don’t know if anyone else here has gotten hit with something like a belt or bitch-slapped, but getting from a welt to That level of injury would be straight up agony. Like. It would be agonizing. Unforgettable pain. I’ve had a little blood drawn this way, not nearly as much, and it was probably some of the worst pain a person could feel. Like. Imagine that bro. That’s awful. I love it.

(And that’s all just assuming Kusuo was able to keep the same amount of protection up against Kuusukes attacks, since we know he was depleting his energy, maybe his capability for shielding himself went down, and at a certain point a shot hit him and managed to tear through his arm, which is. Its own can of worms.)

This post isn’t really going anywhere the catgun fight just really fucks me up whenever I start thinking about it.
