Could literally not change anything about her expression but you knew by looking at her eyes what she was thinking. She’s so gorgeous.

Kay Francis (Jewel Robbery, I Loved A Woman, British Agent)— kay francis was an icon of glamor in her time and a top star of the 30s - she was the highest-paid actress at warner bros from 1930 to 1936. she tended to play characters who were charming, sophisticated, and elegantly dressed, and starred in at least one legitimate masterpiece, the sublime 1932 comedy trouble in paradise. her first big role was in the marx brothers movie the cocoanuts in 1929, and she and william powell made seven movies together between 1930 and 1932. even in her sillier movies she always elevates the material with her charm and presence - she never phones it in and there’s a sort of warm, knowing wittiness about her. a really good short promo from a retrospective of her movies that i think really gets her Vibe across

A cold-ass Swedish WLW Sphinx. Had plans to murder Hitler that she never got around to. "She will remain always a child of vikings, moved about by a snowy dream."

First of all, she's on the money; that's how much of a treasure she is. She's beautiful in such a distinct way you need very few lines to draw her. (Drawing by Einar Nerman) She managed to be mesmerizing in both silent and sound films. She kissed a woman in Queen Christina (and probably several more in real life). She was super dry and really funny in Ninotchka. She got the hell out of Hollywood and stayed out, living for almost 50 years after her retirement.

Garbo is one of the many reasons why I'm gay. If you haven't seen Queen Christina please do, She is so gender in that film. Also her accent makes it sound like she's always talking in cursive and it's so hypnotic (or at least I think so).

She's a gay introvert, like all of us here on Tumblr.

Mysterious and aloof, charismatic and enigmatic, with beautiful androgynous characteristics, Garbo is undoubtedly the most eccentric and unique Hollywood vintage star. Her aversion to fame and stardom makes her even more desirable to the audience, and her insane chemistry with the camera, an actress one of a kind! Her particularity and her oddity is what discerns her strongly from her hollywood co workers at the time, noone was like her and would never be like her. I think, to the utmost extent, that she deserves the title of the hottest vintage star, even though that would be an understatement of what she is!

Crepinlore and the 30-50 random games 90% of fandom has never heard about

This post, like everything else about this blog, is very self-indulgent. I discovered many things, during its making. I shall begin with something you likely have literally never heard about, and go to more popular things from there:

KROSMASTER ARENA 3D

Krosmaster arena online was a video game it seems nobody played, and honestly, I am mentioning it here because I fear that if I don't document it, it will disappear, and it will turn out that it was simply a vision I had, as if in a David Lynch movie. Evaporating, like tears in rain.

I don't think anyone ripped/tried to rip/found a way to rip the models from it — and considering the fact they're pretty... mobile ad-core, not much may have been lost.

Anyway, here's Keke beating the shit out of some guy.

Wakfu Les Gardiens

Joris appears in the quest "The Tree of Life" of this game, which, as far as I'm aware, was updated in time with Wakfu episodes.

Even back then, Ankama knew that 1. Joris is very sus and 2. you cannot let him get close to you during a battle, or it's OVER.

It's all very cute.

There is some interesting I have to say about this sprite, actually!

An alternate version of it exists, made as a concept for the Dofus MMO. I am assuming it was Juien Druant elaborating on the ways Joris might look in the game. The first two designs are: baby Joris (probably not used because he looks too young to be a 200 year old man...) and Welsh & Shedar 60yo Joris. They were combined to make the iconic Dofus MMO-era 200yo Joris design.

I'm quite sure that this sprite references the Les Gardiens one very heavily.

One More Gate: A Wakfu Legend

The first game in this list that actually has implications for real lore, and yet its plot is literally "it was all a dream that Oropo was having while inside the Eliacube"

For this reason, the events of this game are not entirely reliable — but are probably based in some way on the memories Oropo has.

The main contribution this game has to Crepinlore is a third Crepin, who might be an ancient ancestor of the brothers, whom Oropo met and remembered, some sort of cousin, or he might be based entirely on fiction, and inspired by Kerubim (though ehhh I severely doubt Oropo would care so much about him that he'd hallucinate a guy like him within Eliacube's fake world).

I really want to headcanon that the events of the game are based on something he really experienced, waaay before forming the brotherhood. But that's just my brain disaeses.

There are characters besides Atcham, Joris, and Kerubim in this game — Julith, Jahash, Lou... But I choose to concentrate on my favorite three ones. Or I will die fr.

If this Ecaflip gives the impression of constantly having a bad hair day, it's precisely because he doesn't have any! Brother of Kerubim Crépin, Atcham is fiercely jealous of the man he considers his worst enemy. And how could he not be, when not only does he occupy the prestigious position of Ecaflip's favorite son, but also displays his dense, silky fur without any modesty or sensitivity?

Here are his three forms:

They're really giving a fight to this Joris costume recolor from a Christmas event in one of the MMOs... (Now I want to see Kerubim in red too!)

On topic of Joris,

Adopted son of Kerubim Crépin, Joris is a curious and mischievous little boy. His favorite pastime is listening to the childhood adventures of his beloved "Papycha". And when he's too busy serving customers in his antique store, he's off playing with his best friend Lilotte! An avid boufbowl player and fan of Khan Karkass, Joris also hopes to become a star of the horned ball. While his destiny may already be mapped out on the stadium pitch, his origins are much less clear… But the good thing about not knowing where you come from is that you can imagine anything! For the little boy, there's no doubt: his parents were great boufbowl players, and it doesn't matter if it's true or not!

And now, last but not least: Kerubim.

Judging by his adventures, Kerubim seems to have had more than 9 lives! From small-time opera rat, to Bontarian police officer, to lawyer: the least we can say is that during his youth, the man Joris calls his Papycha never stopped working! So much so that today, the owner of the antique store Aux Trésors de Kerubim takes advantage of his free time to purr quietly in his armchair, or to tell his adopted son about his past adventures. Past? Well, not quite! Because when the terrible witch Julith arrives to retrieve Jahash's Ivory Dofus, and seems intent on attacking Joris, the old tomcat doesn't hesitate to get in her way. With Kerubim, there's no age limit to being a hero!

Once again, it is confirmed that the store's name s literally "Aux Trésors de Kerubim". Sorry, I'm insane about the name of the show being the name of the store.

Hello there. im trans and disabled.

I'm opening emergency commissions. info of art examples at the bottom, as this is an explanation of what's going on

I have been living in an abusive environment for a lot of my life at this point, and i can no longer handle living here

i am not allowed to have any privacy at any time. i am not allowed to close any doors at any given time.

i am not allowed to walk outside of the house by myself to go up the street to the gas station or to the store the opposite direction.

i am watched when i open my mail.

i am belittled and ridiculed at my choice of personal care or clothing or haircut.

i am told because i am short and i live here i am basically a child and will not be respected as an adult.

i cannot get the food i need on a regular basis that i can eat with my chronic illnesses and i am discouraged to seek medical care.

i am pretty much disabled (no official paper work) so i cannot retain a retail job, even when i tried i was told i am not allowed because it is 'too far to walk' even though its 15 minutes away

to name some things, i have scoliosis, interstitial cystitis, gastritis, colitis(possibly crohn's), gluten intolerance, a sliding hiatal hernia, binocular double vision, etc and i want to seek some medical care.

my best friend is offering to let me move in with her but it's across the country and i need the money for a ticket and supplies when i arrive.

there is better medical care where she is at and is willing to help me out with it.

this is the ROUGH cost (price keeps going up by 130 and then back down to this)

i have to make it look like a round trip because otherwise i am not allowed to go. hence the price here.

best friend is offering to pay for half of the ticket. very kind of her, (thanks bestie)

but anyway i need about 600$ in total; this will cover:

rest of the ticket, supplies for personal care when i move in, a little food, money for cellular data, money towards a tablet to continue making art for money, & any emergency on the way through airport

Who should play Omni-Man in a live action Invincible?

Whether you are an avid watcher of Invincible or not, at this point you probably know the character of Omni-Man through the zeitgeist, merchandise, or memes.

Since JK Simmons interpretation of the character, Omni-Man has sky rocketed into popularity. The incredible villain was a major part of Invincible's success, giving us a very violent, angry and conflicted performance from Simmons.

Given there will be a live action film, currently in the works from Allen the Alien actor Seth Rogen, I thought I'd throw some names in the mix who I think could be potentially great Omni-Men.

Warning: This will contain spoilers from Seasons 1 & 2 of Invincible so be warned!

Who can't be Omni-Man?

Before we get started into who could, I am gonna limit myself a bit. Let's start with the obvious, JK Simmons is too old. He's fantastic, and I love his version, but he can't be Nolan. Might I suggest Conquest, Art, or best of all, Cecil?

I also have no intention of picking actors who have played Superman. So Henry Cavill, Brandon Routh, etc, no dice.

Also in general, I'm gonna try to avoid actors who already have an iconic performance as a superhero character. So actors like Hugh Jackman, Ben Affleck and others won't be on this list either.

And finally, I've seen the fancasts of both Jon Hamm and Nick Offerman. Frankly I like both. But I think we can do better.

What are Nolan Grayson's Physical Characteristics?

Omni-Man needs to feel like the most dangerous man in the room AND the world's greatest hero. It's a very delicate balance to pull.

I'd prefer someone over 6 ft tall, with a background in both heroic and menacing roles.

Nolan is a viltrumite, meaning he could be any race or ethnicity.

If he can rock a mustache, even better.

I'm looking for an actor in their late 30s to early 50s. We have a little room to work with as his age is slower, but someone in their 40s is most preferable.

Let's get into it.

3. Colin Farrell

Starting off our list is the original Bullseye himself Colin Farrell. Though he is a little bit shorter than I would like at 5'10, Farrell brings experience, skill and likeability to Nolan, which is very necessary if we want to portray him as a good guy.

What really sold me on him is actually Saving Mr Banks, where he plays a sympathetic, problematic father who truly loves his children. That sympathy can go a long way for Omni-Man.

Where he doesn't sell me is the ruthlessness of Nolan, nor does he feel like he can be a very threatening villain. He did play a fun one, namely the Penguin in The Batman.

Really my main concern is The Penguin, as he is returning for his show and likely The Batman Part II. I'd prefer someone not as known for wearing the costume of such an iconic character.

2. Joel Edgerton

I feel like everyone forgets about good ol reliable Joel Edgerton.

If we want a villain with brutality, Edgerton can bring it. He can rock a mustache, he's played multiple convincing villains and could really make the role his own. He's held his own against power houses like DiCaprio and Maguire in Gatsby.

He's even played a few good guys, namely Uncle Owen in Obi-Won Kenobi.

The great thing about Edgerton is he falls so deep in the role, people forget it's him. It may be good to have an actor smaller than the role he's playing, but with a skill to match Simmons.

My main concern is very simple, he's 5'10". I'm sure we can make him seem bigger, but other than, he seems evil, untrustworthy. He often plays characters who are darker or troubled. Can he play 100% heroic? Or atleast faking heroic?

I think he'd do a fantastic job, but there's one more guy I'm itching to see put on the red and white.

1. Joel Kinnaman

Takeshi Kovacs. Rick Flag. Alex Murphy.

Joel Kinnaman is one of my favorite actors working today.

I think Kinnaman has both the intensity and heroic nature to be a perfect Nolan. At 44, he is in the perfect age range we want. He is 6'2", and while I admit he is leaner than I would like, bulking up to play Nolan I think is very possible.

He's got a great voice, can rock a mustache, play a convincing father, and has never truly donned a cape. He'd make a fantastic villain in a movie, and an even better hero once he joins the Coalition of Planets.

I think he'd add a different enough performance while being able to stand up to a great actor like Simmons. Joel Kinnaman is my ideal Omni-Man.

She is 20-30 years younger than these women. hi anon! thank u for asking <3

for this tutorial, you will need to make the soundwaves using VEED.IO, as seen in the original tutorial from @usergif. the main differences come when you put the finished soundwave gif into photopea! for this tutorial, you should have a basic understanding of giffing in photopea.

below the cut is the tutorial for photopea:

before we get too far, i should say that you should be saving your gifs as psds throughout this tutorial. to do that, go to file > save as PSD and save it somewhere you can find it again. with that being said, let’s go forward into the tutorial!

part one: editing the soundwave .gif

once you have your soundwave .gif, in photopea, go to file > open… and open up the file. your photopea dashboard should look something like this:

scroll to the bottom of your .gif file’s layers. you should have a frame that’s titled something like “_a_frm0,80” with the little eye icon on the left showing that it’s visible. we don’t really want this frame, since (as you probably noticed) the soundwaves aren’t moving, which defeats the purpose of the soundwaves in general. so, delete it!

(if you panic that now the workspace is blank because you deleted that first frame, click the little box next to your next frame (for me, that would be “_a_frm1,90”) to make that frame visible)

now, from here, i’d highly recommend knowing how many frames your finished product is going to be. for the gif i’m making, i know it’s going to be 30 frames, and the VEED.IO gif i have now is 60 frames; thus, i’m going to delete the 30 extra frames so that the gifs i’m creating will merge correctly.

another thing to note: since we deleted that “_a_frm0,80” frame, now your frames are accurately counting from 1 to whatever the last frame is. so, when you go to delete frames, keep that in mind!

for me, i want to keep the last 30 frames of my VEED.IO gif, so i’m going to make the frame titled “_a_frm31,90” visible by clicking that little box like we did before. i will then left click the frame titled “_a_frm30,80”, scroll down and, while pressing shift, click my “_a_frm1,90” frame to highlight the other 30 frames that i don’t want. with all of the frames selected, drag them into the little trash icon at the bottom right.

the reason i did that whole deleting extra frames part first is because now is the most tedious part of this tutorial: renaming the frames.

as you’ve noticed from these frames, all of them have a “,80” or “,90” — that is basically how fast the gif is going to be move once you save it as a .gif file. for the VEED.IO gif file, these tend to alternate between “,80” and “,90”. however, i know that my other gifs are going to have “,50” for all of the frames, so we need to change this so that the finished gif doesn’t have the soundwaves moving twice as fast as the gifs behind them.

there’s no way that i’ve found that’s faster for this, so for now, double click each frame and change the “,80” or “,90” to “,50”. here’s the before and after of what my frames look like:

but we aren’t done yet; my finished gif is going to end up being 540px in width, so i’m going to go ahead and change the width of my VEED.IO gif by going to image > image size… and changing the height to 535px (don’t worry about the height, it doesn’t really matter). you can make it 540px if you’d like, but i want to give myself room to adjust the soundwaves on the finished product once we actually get there, so i’m making it a few pixels smaller than it should be.

for this next step, in your gif layers, make sure you have the last frame (in my case, “_a_frm61,50”) selected. you should have a color that you want to have for your finished product; for me, i want mine to end up being purple, so while having that last frame selected, go to layer > new adjustment layer > gradient map…, which should bring up the following popup:

left click the gradient in the popup, and change the white to whatever color you want for your final gif. my soundwaves now look like this, with the purple gradient map:

and now you can close the gif folder, since we’re finished messing with everything in it! however, we aren’t quite done with making the soundwave gif itself; we need to get rid of that VEED.IO watermark in the corner.

there’s a couple ways to do this, but i think the easiest way is to just draw over it. using the “rectangular select” tool and creating a new (transparent) layer, use the paint brush tool in black to paint over the watermark (you will only be able to draw within the selected area). below is a screenshot of the different buttons and steps:

and now your soundwave gif is done! now you can go to file > export as > GIF.

part two: making the finished product

now that you have your soundwave gif ready, make your other gif or gifs for the finished product! i won’t go into detail about how i made mine, but just know i’m going to be using three other gifs besides the soundwave gif we just made.

with all of your gifs made, go to file > new… and create a new canvas. here are the specifications for my gif:

open all of your gifs, including the soundwave gif file we made a moment ago. now i noticed in making my soundwave gif that i miscounted my frames by one; no problem, i will do just like i did earlier and delete the frame titled “_a_frm0,50” so that my soundwave gif matches my other gifs.

on your new canvas, put in all of the other gifs (not the soundwave gif, yet) and blend them together as you please (if you have more than one; if you just have one gif, then just put that gif onto the canvas with no changes). if you’re confused about how to blend gifs, here is my tutorial, and there is another tutorial by arwen @benoitblanc here that you can follow as well!

now that all of my gifs are put together, duplicate your soundwave gif into that canvas by right clicking the soundwave gif folder and clicking “duplicate into…” and choose the new canvas you have created. it should look something like this:

that’s not where i want the soundwave file to be, so open up the gif folder for the soundwave gif. use the same steps we did to select the frames from before and then move the gif wherever you’d like on your canvas. i want my soundwaves at the bottom of the canvas, so i click and drag the soundwave gif (on the canvas) and drag it down until it is centered and half of it is visible.

with my soundwaves moved, now my gif looks like this on the canvas:

now we want to get rid of the big black box that is covering a majority of the bottom half of the gif. to do so, use the blending mode dropdown menu and choose either “screen” or “lighten”. depending on the color of your soundwaves, one may look better than the other; just choose what you like best! for my gif, i chose “screen”.

now, from here, it’s free reign to do what you want with the gif. i added some gradients by going to layer > new fill layer > gradient fill and selecting the second option from the gradient dropdown menu to make a one-sided purple gradient (i did this a few times to mess with the blending modes and angles of the gradients). now my gif looks like this:

which i like much better than what i had before!

now, add whatever text you’d like, and once you’re completely finished messing around with your gif, go to layer > animation > merge to combine your soundwave gif with your other gif(s). then, go to file > export as > GIF, double check that your final gif looks like how you want it in the preview (and that it’s under 10MB), and save!

and now you have a finished gif with the soundwaves! congrats! hopefully this tutorial was coherent and in depth enough for you, anon. feel free to send me other questions if you have them!

Good..Sorry for the long absence on Tumblr. Good..I want to share an idea! I came up with the plot of the mini-game. Just listen to me. The game is called "Sitting at the computer". At the beginning of the game, you choose your name (from 1 to 50 characters); choose your gender (male, female or middle); and choose any age. Registration was excellent. Now you are sitting at a wooden table, you are in your room. You open a new tab. You're on a dating site. The site is probably not official, as it says "unknown" everywhere. The essence of the game is unclear, yes. You create a new random chat with an anonymous person. You are also given a choice. Either you randomly generate the name of your interlocutor, or enter your own luxury option. Also specify the age and gender of the person you are talking to. Good..You will receive a question from an anonymous person. Could you send me a photo and a little bit about yourself. In the lower right corner you have a camera icon, after opening it you will need 30 photos of your character (depends on the chosen gender). The task is not easy, you need to choose the most successful photo. Otherwise, the anonymous user will block you and the game will be over. Let's say you're lucky. And now an anonymous person is wondering what kind of person you are. There are 2 options: agree by generating a random description; or write your own. After 1 month of communication with an anonymous person, it passes. He insisted on meeting with me. Unfortunately, you have no choice. You make an appointment in a rather gloomy and remote bar. Somewhere in Vancouver. Later you realize that no one came to the bar except you and a small group. You're leaving. This game would be perfect as an indie horror with enhanced 3D graphics with super realism and full immersion in the game. Sensitivity, fog, sounds, sharpness, everything, even rain and drops, can be adjusted according to the atmosphere. Bottom line, next you are trying to contact an anonymous person. He offers his deepest apologies,speaking of which, he was busy that night.

About Me: Favorite Pokemon

Pokemon is a series very near and dear to my heart. From my early experiences watching the anime and playing the card game to staying up all night in the hospital playing Pokemon Crystal to getting my first-ever game of my own (Sapphire) and picking my first starter (Torchic), I just have an endless stream of positive memories of this franchise.

Of course, most of the positive memories wouldn’t be half as good without all the Pokémon I befriended along the way. There’s over a thousand of these creatures now and while I don’t think any Pokémon is bad, I’ve obviously come to like some more than other. That’s what this list is for.

Unfortunately, due to the image limit on posts I had to cut this list down from 50 to 30 so that there wouldn’t be twenty boring blank spaces like I had to do with my video game list. A lack of pictures there is whatever, but when I can’t showcase the designs of the critters I’m talking about, there’s a big issue. This means there’s a lot of honorable mentions: Klefki, Jynx, Slither Wing, Lapras, Garbodor, Lunala, every single Eeveelution, Armaldo, Farfetch'd, Sirfetch'd, Ditto, Pheromosa, Buzzwole, Mew, Xurkitree, Lucario, Gimmighoul, Zoroark, Claydol, Walking Wake, Rotom, Porygon2, Chien-Pao, Iron Thorns, Sceptile, Gallade, Togekiss, Spiritomb, Grimmsnarl, Mimikyu, Scrafty, Sigilyph, Zacian, Florges, Eternal Flower Floette, Lilligant, Bisharp, Kingambit, Wishiwashi, Tatsugiri, Bronzong, Rayquaza, Dracovish, Hydreigon, Blacephalon, and Dracozolt. Yeah, there's a thousand of these, so narrowing down my favorites is no easy task.

30. Unown

Unown is probably one of the most worthless Pokemon when it comes to battling seeing as they only know Hidden Power and have pitiful stats (partly because their attacking stats are still spread as if the physical/special split never happened), but I lfind their overall suckiness kind of endearing. I like the weird concept behind them being living hieroglyphs, and the mysteries surrounding them really make me wish they were utilized more in the stories of the games. I'm not asking for them to be as badass as they were in the Entei movie, but come on, throw these guys a bone!

29. Qwilfish

One of the absurdly rare joke Pokemon of Gen II, Qwilfish wasn't one I thought of very often... that is until I got one over the GTS back in the DS days. She was a shiny, her name was Butt Bomb, and her OT was Bakura. Ever since I got her, I have always loved this stupid mine/blowfish hybrid, and I was absolutely elated to find out it got a badass evolution in Overqwil when Pokemon Legends Arceus came out.

28. Sneasler

Speaking of Arceus, I have to say that Sneasler is my favorite Hisuian evolution. I've always loved Sneasel, especially since one in LeafGreen ended up becoming one of my first ever level 100 Pokemon in that game. I kind of didn't like that it lost so much Sneasel-ness upon evolving into Weavile, but Sneasler certainly fixes that problem. It's all right there in the name, where the original is Sneasel, this one is even Sneasler. More Sneasel, less problems.

27. Meowstic

These weird little Psychic cats are just a lot of fun, and I honestly like them more than their more iconic pre-evolutions. Gen VI gets a lot of flak, especially considering how few Pokemon it introduced, but considering it brought this sexually dimorphic extrasensory feline into existence I'm fine with it. Quality over quantity.

26. Kecleon

It has one of the most clunky gimmicks out there, but I'm still fond of this little chameleon. It's such a fun Pokemon to track down be it in Gen III, their remakes, or even Go, and it is one of the single most terrifying foes you can battle in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. I even love its stupid shiny that only changes its stripe.

25. Dudunsparce

After years of fans begging for Dunsparce to finally receive an evolution, one that would be some badass dragon that completely misses the point of Dunsparce's whole joke, Gen IX delivered with... a Dunsparce that has an extra segment in its body. It is genuinely one of the greatest trolls in existence, and the fact there's a special form that's even longer really goes to show that Dunsparce was always perfect and the only thing they could even imagine doing as improvement is giving us more Dunsparce.

24. Alcremie

I love Pokémon with bafflingly cryptic evolution methods, and while Runerigus probably takes the cake in terms of Gen VIII Pokemon, Alcremie quits literally is the cake. The fact you have to decorate it’s pre-evolution, then spin around in a circle with the direction, number of spins, and even time of day affecting the ultimate outcome of what color Alcremie you’ll get. No matter what, the end result is the cutest food-themed Pokémon yet.

23. Shedinja

Finding this Pokémon on my own as a kid was such a fun surprise. The Nincada I’d lovingly raised evolved, but I got not just one evolution but some weird shedded husk? Fucking awesome. Ghost types really have some of the most inventive designs in the whole series, and this one hit point wonder is a shining example of that.

22. Archeops

If there wasn’t an image limit on posts, I could fill up a list with fossil Pokemon as I love almost all of them. But my favorite of them all is definitely this awkward, struggling proto-bird that hits like a truck until it gets too many boo-boos and just gives up. It’s kind of relatable.

21. Iron Valiant

As much as I prefer the Paradox Pokemon in Scarlet to the ones in Violet due to their more wild designs, my favorite Paradox of all is one of the robots. It’s a very unique design among its cybernetic brethren, incorporating elements of both Gardevoir and Gallade into one awesome ‘mon. It’s quite literally the best of both worlds, and the colorless shiny version looks even better.

20. Salazzle

For a series with such a massive furry fandom, it’s honestly pretty impressive they managed to have the restraint to avoid creating a deliberately sexy design for six generations. And when they finally caved in the seventh, they made that design a venomous, fire-breathing succubus salamander. I love this stupid sexy lizard, especially that stunning shiny.

19. Chandelure

Some people hate the Pokémon based on inanimate objects, which I’ve always found stupid; a good chunk of Pokémon are based off of Yokai, and guess what a lot of Yokai are? My favorite of this brand of Pokémon is definitely the killer chandelier ons, another example of how Ghost types get all the coolest designs.

18. Meloetta

Such a simple yet elegant design for this mythical ‘mon. I really wish its gimmick was a bit more useful in combat, but when you look as good as it does it’s forgivable.

17. Milotic

The elegant, defensive counterpart to the rough, offensive Gyarados, Milotic was almost always a bitch and a half to acquire in the older games, but damn if they weren’t worth the effort of fishing up a Feebas!

16. Scizor

How do you make a mantis-velociraptor hybrid monster even cooler? Make it turn into a red steel mantis monster that can dish out and tank hits better than ever. Easily my favorite Pokémon introduced in the

15. Gardevoir

Look, Gardevoir has a bit of a reputation on the internet, but that's not the reason I love it. I've adored it since I was a little kid, playing Sapphire for the first time and adding this pretty Psychic being to my team to help me crush my foes. It's such a beautiful, elegant creature, and contributes a great deal to my overwhelming adoration of the Fairy type after retroactively being given it.

14. Hatterene

Gen VIII got its very own Gardevoir in this beautiful witchy Fairy, but there's a bit of a twist here; where Gardevoir loves and guards its trainer with its life, Hatterene will beat the ever-living shit out of anyone it senses is experiencing strong emotions. It's much more in line with mythical fairies than a lot of its kin, and the fact it's a pretty tough fighter only makes it more appealing to me. Love a girl that's both beautiful and deadly.

13. Roserade

I was always a big fan of Roselia even back as a kid, but I was a bit sad at how it wasn't really a viable fighter. Thankfully, I only needed to wait a single generation for that problem to be solved with a gorgeous evolution. Gen IV really knocked it out of the park with improving old 'mons with great new evolutions, but Roselia got the best of the bunch in my eyes.

12. Tinkaton

This is a Pokemon that just about everyone loves, but how can you not love it? It's a violent little gremlin with a hammer three times as big as its body that loves to antagonize birds by knocking rocks into the sky. The best Fairy Pokemon combine cute designs with those mischievous folkloric fairy antics, and Tinkaton is the best mix of those around.

11. Deoxys

As a kid, I saw a rumor back on the internet saying that if you watched the rockets in Mossdeep City enough times, eventually you'd get to ride one to the moon and battle Deoxys. I laughed this off, thinking this was a fake rumor for a fake Pokemon... and then the movie Destiny Deoxys, one of my favorites of the series, dropped, and I was in that space station every day hoping to go to the moon. I'd have to wait til Gen VI for that dream to be realized, but this bizarre alien virus has always remained one of my favorite Pokemon regardless of how hard to acquire it tends to be.

10. Lurantis

I love how clever it is conceptually; it's a reverse orchid mantis, a plant pretending to be a bug. And it's a very cute plant at that! I don't care if its slow as molasses like nearly every other Alola Pokemon, Lurantis is an absolute cutie and I'm happy it has consistently made the cut even with the Pokedex being trimmed in the newer games.

9. Blaziken

My first ever starter, and one that will always hold a special place in my heart. It's hard not to love an actual fighting cock in a series accused of being superpowered cockfighting.

8. Zeraora

Probably one of the least popular mythical Pokemon out there, but if Zeraora has only one fan, I am that fan. There's just something about its design that really appeals to me, and no, it's not just because I'm a furry.

7. Ceruledge

Ghosts just really have the best designs. A living suit of armor that's also on fire and has flaming ghost swords for hands? Literal perfection.

6. Pyukumuku

Yet another bizarre gimmick Pokemon, in the vein of Shuckle or Wobbuffet as it learns no attacking moves and has pitiful offensive stats in return for sky-high defenses. This little gimmick creature is absurdly adorable compared to those two though, and it fights by barfing up its insides in the form of a giant fist. Plus, it has the best green shiny ever, going from a mere sea cucumber to a sea pickle.

5. Volcarona

Tyranitar and Hydreigon are the Godzilla and Ghidorah of Pokemon, but the trifecta is not complete for that all-out attack without Mothra. Enter Volcarona, the best and most beautiful Bug in the series. It's got absurdly high stats, an incredibly fluffy design, and an absurdly high level requirement to evolve, but boy is it ever worth it.

4. Obstagoon

The only good Gene Simmons ever did for the world is inspire this upgrade for the oft-forgotten Linoone. Of course, much better than its KISS-inspired base color is its shiny alt, which is a garish glam rock/Bowie-esque bright red and blue goon.

3. Meowscarada

I'm usually the type who starts off with a Fire starter, or on rare occasions the Water one. I almost never start with a Grass one... but Scarlet was the exception, because this gorgeous trickster stage magician cat is just too fucking cool to pass up on.

2. Cinderace

God, I love Cinderace. It has such a sleek, cool design that makes it my favorite Fire/Fighting starter despite not even having the Fighting type. It's nimble, acrobatic, and can kick your ass into next Sunday, but it doesn't have that bitch of a type combo despite all signs pointing to it. What a funny bunny.

1. Absol

Absol, and especially its Mega Evolution, are the very best Pokemon to me. I love their design, I love their tragic backstory that over the years has come to acknowledge how the Pokemon has become widely beloved by the fanbase... I trained one up to level 100 back before the Phsyical/Special split, and in those days this thing was next to useless in a fight. That's how deep my love for this Pokemon goes.

Hi, I’m on around 30 minutes of sleep at the moment, and I think it’s time to give team Prime their height, and vehicle modes, and a rough idea on their age and what they did before the war. (This includes all team Prime through the entire show dead or alive.)

Ok before I begin, just to let people know, I haven’t put much thought into this and am very tired but can’t see to sleep until I get this out. If you want to see more then check out my post I did on the Rescue bots. Also some of the heights that I find will be slightly added onto or rounded up, if deemed necessary.

Let’s Roll on, shall we!

Optimus Prime: the big guy himself, second oldest on the team. He is of course an old Peterbilt, I based him of a peterbilt 379. It’s difficult for me to find his height on this because I could add the trailer making him tall or just the truck. As just the truck he’d be short close to 10 or 11 feet, which obviously doesn’t fit the Prime. (Though it’d be funny). With the trailer he’d be around 50 feet which is a better size for him, but the trailer is not apart of his body which is why I’m hesitant to use its length. Though I guess we could use some G1 magic.

Ratchet: the good old doctor of doom (dramatic Megatron go brrr) he’s obviously the oldest of the team, mostly likely an elder by cybertronian standards. I’d say he’s a type 3 ambulance, making him around 23 feet. Not Prime big, but a decent size.

Arcee: before UltraMagnus and Wheeljack showed up, she was the third oldest on the team (not much older than Bulk tho). Unfortunately for her she’s the smallest. I chose a fast motorcycle for her, a dodge tomahawk, the fastest motorcycle in the world (according to google). Now onto her size, I’m sorry but she’s around 10 feet tall😭.

Bulkhead: the wrecker himself! Good old Bulk is 4th in age at the start of the series but at the end, he’s forced to 6th place for age. So we can go the jeep route like Prime did, making him around 20 feet tall. Though we could go the animated route and make him some sort of armored vehicle, likely military. If he went that route I’d say he’s around, 25 ft, I know not much bigger.

Bumblebee: Ah the good old scout, the youngest of the bots throughout the whole series. He probably has the most iconic vehicles mode of all the bots, making him easy to pick for. I looked it up and they said in one of the movies he was a slightly modified 2011 Camaro SS. This would make Bee around 16 feet tall.

Wheeljack: Ah yes Jackie, best friend of Bulk, tormentor of Ratchet. When he joins the team full time, head around the third oldest (a bit older than Magnus) as for his vehicle form, that was slightly tricky to pick. Idk what car he his, so imma choose a new one or similar one. Ok, so the 2017 Ford GT does look close to his car in the show. This would make him around 17 feet, so around Bee’s height.

SmokeScreen: the good old rookie, he’s the second youngest on the team (only slightly older than bee). He be a speedy boi, so he need a fast car. I was going to pick the fastest car in the world but, another fit his alt in the show. That would be the Hennessy Venom F5, this would make him around (technically 15) but I’m going to add a couple feet making him around 20 ft.

UltraMagnus: this rule dude was easy to decide for, when he joins he’d the 4th oldest on the team. As for his alt mode, he chose what Prime had before the upgrade. He’d be around 53 ft.

Cliffjumper: poor boi, he deserves much better. When he was alive he was between Bull and Arcee’s age. His alt mode was a 1964 Pontiac GTO. This alt would’ve made him around 18 feet tall.

Yay finally done with all that stuff, let’s get into what they were before the war.

Optimus: he was of course Orion Pax before the war, a simple data clerk.

Ratchet: he was a doctor, though less experienced than he is now.

Magnus: he was in the Elite guard.

Arcee: idk about her, she’s difficult to tell. Maybe a racer or was in the entertainment business (I know stranger for this Arcee, but it’s clear that she’s very war torn, so she could have changed a bit.)

Jackie: he was most definitely and scientists/ engineer before the war.

Bulk: he said it himself, he was in construction.

Cliff: now we don’t get a lot about him, but I think it’s be a funny nod to his first VA (DWAYNE THE ROCK JHONSON!) that he was either a wrestler or an actor, or perhaps both.

SmokeScreen: was still in the Academy to become an Elite guardsman.

Bee: like Smokey, he was still in school, though I’d say he was around a high school senior before the war broke out.

Now that all for now, I might make a post about the human either together or separately. Also I plan on making Jasper a lot more lively than it is in the show.

bond CEs. i can't find the post (i'm pretty sure it was yours?) but i remember you saying something about how it'd be neat if Bond CEs were zero cost and automatically applied to the character (on top of normal CEs) when we get them to bond 10

Yeah, ignoring how mismatched or outright bad some of the existing ones' effects are, they're clearly designed to be unlockable passive buffs that were implemented in the worst way possible, from the 100/100 issue making them automatically IMMENSELY outclassed with any DPS unit even if their effect is genuinely great like with KP or Super Orion, to the way things like Spartacus's CE have the same issue as regular guts ce's where they make you waste any guts skill because it took them forever to make a stacking guts (and even then only a select few have stackable guts and Spartacus aint one of them. Which is itself also stupid.)

Part of me wonders if it was a limitation of the infamously bad spaghetti code the app is rumored to have, like they couldnt figure out how to make it work and so they went "what if we just make use the already existing system of passive effects we have for Craft Essences?". Frankly that's the most charitable explanation i can think of

Either way, the only solutions i can think of, short of completely overhauling 95% of the Bond CE effect, are these three in descending order of how realistically we'd get them:

Make every Bond CE 2000/2000 instead of 100/100. It leaves a lot of issues on the table but at least it gets rid of what is by far the biggest issue regarding the attack buff issue.

In addition to their unique effect, make it so every bond CE acts like the story support CE where it gives 50% starting battery and 50% increased NP gain. That level of NP support would certainly make up for all the potential attack being lost. One of the other biggest issues with Bond CEs is that even in non farming situations having starting gauge can be so important that you have a dozen welfare CEs automatically being more useful for the fight than the bond CE, and that just spits on them - surely a bond CE should be the perfect CE, surely regular CE's should be used simply because you dont have the servant at Bond 10. The 50% NP gain also fits thematically, basically meaning Bond 10 lets your servant spam their most iconic ability. Heck you could probably make it 30% battery and 50% NP gain instead, to break even if you have a maxed out 20% append battery.

Flat out make Bond CE's have their own equip slot as we talked about at the start, where they have zero cost and effectively act as a new passive skill that can be toggled off and on without sacrificing the standard CE slot or adding to team cost.

˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ WARNING: This post will talk about a lot of story leaks and character leaks in general. This post will talk about an analysis I did before which mentions a religious cult named "The Family" by David Brandt Berg which is known for SA but besides that, it is also known for, abuse, shunning, religious discrimination, conversion therapy, ritual abuse, child abuse, etc.

Now that we can see his design clearer again let's look at what we got!

Well, we can now much clearer see the amount of crosses his design has but also a couple of words that are added in the design. Some of the crosses kept reminding me of the Celtic cross, but I believe these crosses are not any specific crosses and don't really hold a specific meaning to Sunday in particular (I came on this conclusion after searching for 30 minutes on the Internet what kind of connection they could have to Sunday- sob).

In Christian Art, however, the sword is often depicted as being held by the Archangel Michael, who is considered to be the chief of the angels and archangels. In Christian angelology, the seraphim are the highest-ranking celestial beings in the hierarchy of angels.

While reading a little I do really wonder why the Oak Family invited Sunday out of everyone to help out with the hypersomnia mutation. He probably worked at a certain type of "Church" looking at his outfit, so he probably already had a good name for himself then.

As seen in the leaks we came to understand that there are six major families that basically rule the Penacony. The first ruler of the Penacony was Hanunu who is Misha's father. Misha is another leaked character who seems to play an important role in the story.

About Misha: The Star Dome Railway recognizes him as a member of the Nameless Guests and promises to find a way to take him on a journey with them one day.

Hanunu died of an illness which made him unable to solve the problem they had. After he died, Sunday was invited by the Oak Family to help find a solution to the hypersomnia mutation crisis that takes place in Penacony. Penacony is divided into multiple Dreamscapes which I will get into more later.

Sunday proposed to use the Stellaron that was being kept by Hananu to create a "wedge" in the Dreamscape which is called a creation of the Enigmate (A path that corresponds with the Aeon Mythus) which would stabilize the local area of the Dreamscape making Penaconians who are affected by the hypersomnia able to travel through the Dreamscape and seek refuge, allowing them to return to their normal sleep cycle in reality.

The six major families started to vote on this proposal which ended up in a 50/50, they tabled at the instigation of Chachakuka about the proposal but decided to move on to another solution for the time being. When the next Amber Era came after the death of Chachakuka, the Oak Family became the new rulers of Penacony. They turned their attention again to the Stellaron, where they I think from what I understand used the idea of Sunday and performed a ceremony supervised by Sunday with Misha (Hanunu's son) by activating the Stellaron and making Misha become the Dreamscape Lord. Which I think explains the reason why Misha has two designs. After this ceremony, the Dreamscape enveloping Penacony became more peaceful. When Misha makes the wish to the Stellaron he shares some of his authority over the Dreamscape with a character named the Watchmaker which explains why he will play such an important role too in the Dreamscape.

Misha used the Stellaron to create a mutation in the dream world which led to the birth of the monster named Watchmaker which needed several Emanators to defeat. Misha took the Stellaron from Dr. Ratio to save his sick grandfather. In the end, Misha gave up his own dreams and stayed in Penacony, becoming a new pillar of the dream world. The mutant dream, which baffled the powerful, came from a child's imagination.

Mihail, another character whose name awfully reminds me a lot of the Archangel Michael, realizes the Penacony is heading for a different kind of nightmare. He tries to seek out power and negotiate with The Family. Which I don't think ended well because Sunday wants the man dead because he sees him as the biggest obstacle to the Family's expansion.

And now up to Sunday's personality... Ah what do I love a double-faced angel <;3 (DF Enstars mentioned?!?! Okay sorry…). Honestly he interests me so much and knowing one thing for sure is that you don't want to get on this man's bad side.

⋆｡°★ Dreams...

I tried to look more into if there's anything about dreams or the Dreamscape in particular in the game already. In this search, I stumbled on a book in Natasha's Clinic that interested me a little named "Dreamland Analysis".

"The patients attribute it to excessive dreaming, most of which were related to stress from work and life."

The book basically talks a lot about people who have trouble sleeping and "deja vu" some people (like I do... A LOT) experience where they dream about things that will happen in the near future and how weird it is and how dreams can be affected and influenced by others.

This is all far-reaching, but let me be a little delusional alright, but I almost feel like this could me a very sneaky way to talk about what is going in Penacony.

Hi ! I just want to ask for some advice about archiving an old livejournal fic collection I found from my fandom. I really want to move it all to AO3 to preserve these stories, since it's been untouched for years and years and years, but I'm wondering how to go about it. Should I just start? Or should I try to find and contact the authors first? I'm hesitant to archive / move fics without permission, but it's so old I have no idea how to find all these authors. And is it even a good idea to move it to AO3 or should I just leave it?

Any advice would be really appreciated !

Okay, first thing to be aware of is that AO3 only allows you to archive other people's fics if you are the owner of an archive and you are moving the archive to AO3.

Basically, they gave you permission to host their works before, and AO3 feels that transferring the archive to AO3 is like moving from one hosting service to another, not like a completely new and different archive, so the permission is still valid. (Though, of course, they make an effort to contact the writers, and if they want to delete their stuff from AO3, that's their right.)

But that doesn't mean you should give up on preserving these fics!

Your three big options are:

Download everything and keep a personal copy for yourself (useful if these are locked posts)

Put links to public works on the wayback machine

Try to contact the authors and ask if they'd be willing to post to AO3

I assume that you're looking at a Livejournal community and the fics posted to it?

Fandom moved to LJ a little bit in 2002 and in a big wave in 2003 (when you no longer needed an invite). LJ remained big until around 2010 with some trailing years of pretty heavy activity.

I realize that that might seem like a very long time ago to you, but it's honestly pretty recent in terms of fandom's history.

The majority of highly active people I knew on LJ got Dreamwidth accounts under the same name and may have the occasional post there even in the 2020s. A lot of them were in their 20s or 30s when they got an LJ and are now in their 40s or 50s. So, sure, some left fandom and a few may have died, but we're not looking at a population that is overwhelmingly dead of old age, you know? You can probably still track down a lot of people.

The first step would be to look at the info/profile page and see who the owners were. You can also click through to the profile pages of any accounts whose posts you're hoping to preserve. They may list what social media they went to after LJ.

Check Dreamwidth under the same names. If there's an identically named account and the profile page looks similar, it's likely to be the same person. Both LJ and DW have a PM function if you're signed in.

LJ people built AO3 and its early adopters are from there. There's a decent chance a bunch of these people were able to snag the very same name on AO3, so do a user search there. Their AO3 profiles if they've filled them out, their icon, and whatever they've posted will give you a clue if it's the same fan.

You can also do a general site search on Dreamwidth (which will catch many old imported posts that were once on LJ) for each username you want to investigate. You can often find people going "What ever happened to X?" and someone replying.

You should also ask Olds on here.

For starters, what's the fandom, @noelleidle? What's the community you'd like to preserve? (Or links list or whatever it is?) I might even know some of these people personally.

LJ fandom wasn't like modern fandom on twitter or something: we're talking thousands of people, not millions and millions, and many of us were only a few degrees of separation apart.
