4H virgo venus at 7 degrees, 10H pisces mars at 5 degrees, and I'm actually aromantic
sexually/platonically, the most attractive feature on someone is their compassion. open-mindedness, the attempt to understand and care for others different than oneself, and an active lifetime goal of trying to be better tomorrow than they were yesterday are also on my checklist
i think it's partially because i put in so much effort that it's nice to be reciprocated and partially because those types of people are the people i actually want to put my energy into. they just feel worth it
oh and i almost forgot! good conversation

Hi Fam! Lately I've been investigating over the different Venus and Mars combinations to analyze/research a bit how they relate to the type/kind of people we're attracted to and I'd love your contribute on this process...♡︎
LITTLE EXPLAINATION: Venus Placement in the Birth Chart is indicative both of our own seduction style and our own traits but also how we like to be seduced, what attracts us about a person; while Mars Placement in the Birth Chart is indicative of sexual attraction, what we find appealing and explicitly "sexy".
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
❛❛ What's your Venus & Mars Placement? And what's your romantic "ideal type"? What are those characteristics/traits you're fatally attracted to? (both physically and/or mentally)
Feel free to answer either in the comments/asks/messages/reblogs or however you'll prefer to do it ♡︎

"Opposites attract" is illustrated by the duality of the 1H-7H axis.
Whether or not you actually are attracted to your astrological opposite depends on what's going on in both those houses and the aspects made to the bodies within, and especially on contacts to the angles.
Even an empty house can do a whole lot of talking if analyzed through the surrounding context.
hope to be posting a bit more regularly from now on :))

I can't tell you how much I love when someone will casually be explaining basic, foundational ideas of any kind of study and then throw in stuff that opens my third eye lol
Like yeah, I knew this, but it was the way you said it
ASPECTS IN ASTROLOGY
There are two ways through which planets influence one another, and those would be rulership and aspect. We dealt with rulership in yesterday's post regarding essential dignities. Now let's look into how aspects work.
Starting with a definition, aspects are geometrical configurations describing different types of dynamics between planets, and they are the main means through which planets communicate. The five major aspects, also known as the Ptolemaic aspects (though they predate Ptolemy), are the conjunction, opposition, trine, square, and sextile.
With that said, we can split them into two categories:
🔮 Harmonious: Sextile, Trine.
— They have the nature of benefic planets: Venus & Jupiter, respectively.
— Harmoniously aspected (trine, sextile) planets work well together and work to express their respective qualities cohesively. Harmony allows for the positive expression of each planet to be more present than the negative one.
🔮 Disharmonious: Square, Opposition.
— They possess the nature of malefic planets: Mars & Saturn, respectively.
— Disharmoniously aspected planets perform in discordance. They represent planets that can't work well together because they have different priorities, resulting in friction and discord.
→ aspects can be divided into two categories, same-sign aspects, and those based on visual metaphors.
Category 1 :
🔮 CONJUNCTIONS:
Conjunctions are not regarded as aspects by many. They represent planets standing right next to each other, on the same degree (or within a small-ish orb of each other), in the same sign, and depending on each planet involved, this can be a positive or negative aspect. A common & incorrect misconception is that planetary energies are "mixed together" through conjunctions — what conjunctions actually describe is planets generally being on the same page & having the same objective. How they express this objective together will be filtered through the nature of each planet.
🔮 CO-PRESENCE :
In addition to conjunction, we can also list one additional configuration that, while not considered an aspect per se either, is still regarded as powerful: co-presence. Planets that are said to be copresent by sign without being conjoined by degree are said to be especially influential upon each other, owing to being “with” each other. However, it is not specifically called an aspect because the planets are literally in the same place, rather than “seeing” each other.
Category 2 :
Tumblr media
The other four aspects are based on a visual metaphor that utilizes the thema mundi (which calls for a post of its own), but, tl;dr: the thema mundi is a mythical chart used in Hellenistic astrology that shows the alleged positions of the seven visible planets (including the Sun and Moon) at the beginning of the universe—its' main uses are to explain the logic behind the rulership system, provide meanings to the aspects, among other things. It's of purely symbolic nature.
🔮 Sextile — of the nature of Venus. Harmonious, mildly positive.
A sextile is when two planets are 60° apart from each other. These planets share polarity (diurnal vs. nocturnal), so they operate in the same way. The relationship is one of complement and harmony.
🔮 Trine — of the nature of Jupiter. Harmonious, very positive.
A trine is when two planets are 120° away from each other, sharing the same element but not modality (opposite of a Square). These planets can work very well together because they share the same element. The relationship is one of strong harmony much like the nature of Jupiter. Oftentimes trines tend to signify unconscious gifts & areas one is considered a "natural" at.
🔮 Square — of the nature of Mars. Disharmonious, combative, denotes friction.
Squares take place when planets are 90° apart from each other. These planets share the same modality (Cardinal, Fixed, or Mutable) but their expression (read: their element) of that modality is different, and that is what causes the friction. Mainly represent internal conflicts within the native.
🔮 Opposition - of the nature of Saturn. Very disharmonious, (their element)
Planets within a 180° orb are said to oppose each other directly on the zodiac wheel. The planetary energies involved are actively working against each other. It denotes discord, standoffishness, or obstruction, much like the nature of Saturn.
🔮 Signs Not In Aspect :
Signs that are not in one of the above 4 relationships with each other are said to be “inconjunct” or “not in concord”.
→ Now that we went through the respective qualities of each aspect, let's explore another relevant topic — orbs & applying/separating aspects :
🔮 Orbs :
Represent the margin & range of influence in which the aspect between two planets is thought to come into effect & have a significant influence. Feel free to use whatever orbs feel comfortable for you, but know the wider the orb: the less of a connection these planets have, and the smaller the orb, the stronger the connection. Most astrological programs & sites use a default orb of 10°.
🔮 What about the dynamics of application & separation between planets?
If any planets are applying/separating in aspect: the faster planet makes the aspect, the slower planet receives the aspect. Which is to say: only faster-moving planets make aspects (applying or separating).
The order of speed has already been discussed in another post but a reminder that the order goes: Moon > Mercury > Venus > Sun > Mars > Jupiter > Saturn.
TL;DR : the Moon creates the most aspects (i.e can apply or separate from any planet, is always on the aspect-making end), while Saturn creates the least aspects (i.e it can only apply or separate from outers, is usually on the receiving end). You can deduce how it goes for other planets following this framework.
Applying aspects are granted a wider orb than separating ones in certain branches of astrology — because the energies are proactive, converging, and the climax is still approaching. Separating aspects, on the other hand, are reflective, as the aspect has passed the point at which it was exact, and are moving away from it.
Additionally, applying & separating aspects also have their own significations. In horary astrology, applying aspects can be used to predict upcoming events that will happen between individuals/areas of life, while separating aspects is used to describe past events.
So to summarize: when a faster planet is moving towards the exact degree of an aspect with a slower planet, that aspect is applying. Conversely, when a faster planet is departing from the exact degree of an aspect with a slower planet, that aspect is separating. Aspects become more intense as the applying planet gets closer, and they are particularly potent when within a 3° Orb. After separation, aspects become less intense. While a separating aspect lack the urgency of an applying aspect, it (especially when involving the Moon) is still essential for certain Hellenistic techniques like electional astrology, primary directions, or horary astrology.

Reminder that nihilism is the gateway to purpose not its executioner. Figure out what you want to do and what you don't and take a step, however small, to materializing that.
There's no rush. There's only you.

I am a strong believer in the idea that attractiveness is less about the physical features we have and more about how people respond to them. Sure, features give off energies that impact the associations we form around them, but we've also been assigning energies to features since the beginning of time. Attraction is really up to how someone perceives all of that energy in the context in which it's framed, and yes, context matters!
These ideas can be found in the 1H, where foundational ideas and expressions of the self begin to form, along with the 10H, which deals with our reputation and externalized consciousness. Both houses deal with the energies you put out and the energies others put onto you.
Pay special attention to anything that touches those angles, especially conjunctions in the Placidus where you may derive a more ambiguous/matured energy from the house before (late 12H/9H placements, up to 7 degrees) and a raw/straightforward energy from the house itself (early 1H/10H placements, up to 7 degrees). The closer the placement gets, the more intense it will be.
Remember that the existence of metaphysical attractiveness also means that you can CHANGE how you want to be perceived. The right hair and fit and walk and talk can transform you, especially if you have the blessing of prominent mutable placements.
want to hear how this applies to you? check out these guidelines and ask!

You might've heard that squares and oppositions are important in a relationship and shrugged it off, thinking that conflict is not necessary to create harmonious connections. If you struggle with the idea of looking for conflict in charts to ensure a strong, positively transformative bond, instead try looking for charts that complete yours.
If you're fire and water, look for earth and air. Have a lot of cardinal? Search for mutable. You're an Aquarius stellium? Find people with less Aquarius.
Although it may be easier to relate to and understand those who have similar chart compositions to yours, you're much less likely to change and expand yourself and embrace abilities currently beyond your reach if you only make connections with people who have your same blind spots.
It's the ones with completely different energies to you who will challenge you and force you to grow. That's what relationships are for, you know.
have a placement you'd like me to interpret? check out these guidelines and ask away!

Sometimes it's easy to forget that all signs are connected, they just have different ways of expressing themselves. Every axis is significant, and compatibility can be found in even the most oxymoronic spaces. All you have to do is look a bit deeper.
Virgo and Aquarius may be inconjunct, but they agree on some things: like - there’s a million and one ways to get to your destination.
The major difference (or source of awkwardness) is that Aquarius is satisfied by moving on to the next innovation and leaving the old thing where it’s at, where Virgo can be happy to iterate the same thing, improving it over time.
Let’s take music for example. We’ve always had artists tour, or perform live - that’s nothing new. But look at how the processes have changed to make that happen, to make it even more of a grand experience! That’s Virgo - an improvement on something that’s always been around.
When it comes to listening to music, we started with records, radio, then tapes + Walkmans, then CDs, then minidiscs, then iPods, now we’re at streaming. That’s Aquarius - not necessarily an improvement, but definitely an innovation.
I say not necessarily an improvement, because some of us would still like the option for hard copy media that we can actually own, instead of this “subscription till you die”model they got going on (especially when artists aren’t even being paid like they should be).

sharing food
in which we look for connections between venus, the moon, and the bottom half of the chart in scenarios about sharing food
Tumblr media
part one: eating out
click here for an easier reading experience (lol sorry)
warnings: brief mention of obsession
word count: 1.8k
golden pt. 2 | berhana ft. mereba
helpful asteroids
ceres (1) – what you need to nourish yourself and how you nourish others; the mother goddess of agriculture
juno (3) – relationship ideals, what commitment looks like for you; the queen goddess of love and marriage
ambrosia (193) – your soul food; the mythical food of the gods that granted a life of immortality
lets you have a bite
|| “use my fork / bite where I just bit”
Person A wants to share, all of Person B’s germs aside
connections between a venutian/saturnian (taurus, libra / capricorn, aquarius) ambrosia, venutian/fire (taurus, libra / aries, leo, sagittarius) mars, and/or martian/saturnian (aries, scorpio / capricorn, aquarius) venus came up a lot as I perused charts for patterns indicative of such intimacy – the affectionate physicality possible at the hands of a taurus mars or aries venus, the flamboyant passions of a leo mars on fire, the fondness towards sharing food found in a libra ambrosia, and the desire to provide in a capricorn ambrosia or venus could all work together to put the concerns of bacteria aside (and also they kind of wanted you to eat off their fork anyway, so)
hard aspects, including conjunctions, between ceres, venus, and juno add a nice dose of intensity in a committed relationship, managing to pull some tension out of these rather romantic placements; when ceres meets venus or juno (a possible higher octave placement of venus), that desire to nurture and nourish runs a bit raw and the parallels between feeding someone as a partner and feeding someone as a mother become more clear: both are based in the strong, multi-faceted feelings of affection and idealistically unconditional love that venus-juno especially craves… so yeah, who cares? use my fork
|| “grab your own utensil”
A is mouth-conscious but still happy to share with B
yes, I did just say a capricorn venus would share forks, why are you asking? well, this is exactly why degrees and houses and aspects matter, because the influence of even the tiniest bit of virgo or 6H energy could flip that last observation on its head: a late capricorn venus, specifically one in the third decan (20°00 to 29°59), could be graced with some stereotypically germaphobic virgo characteristics, as would be a 6° or 18° placement – this would also apply to a capricorn mars in a virgo degree or decan conjunct venus or a trine between venus and a virgo mars; 6H placements are typically concerned with diet, exercise, and the physical body, so they would also apply
if ambrosia aspects ceres in a chart with prominent saturn and/or virgo placements, food-sharing may not demonstrate in the same hyper-affectionate ways we see in romantic media: virgo is notoriously health- and body-conscious and also a touch high-strung, so it may be more prone to setting boundaries around spit-swapping, though this depends on the placements and relationship in question; saturn, on the other hand, may approach attachment in a cooler and slightly distant manner, restricting displays of physical affection; still, ambrosia-ceres can make sharing food an important aspect of how someone approaches their relationships regardless, depending on where it falls in the chart
|| “have my strawberry!”
A saves the good dessert toppings for B
an aspected venus is typically a strong venus, and if it happens to connect with some of the placements mentioned (moon, ceres, ambrosia), food could be significant in one’s relationships, even more so if the venus lands in the bottom of the chart (1H - 6H); the lower hemisphere of the natal chart represents internal processes as compared to the external interests found in the upper half: from the construction of personal values and sensory-seeking behavior in the 2H to the creativity and inner child of the 5H, venus placements here will emphasize the internal concerns of relationships (how does one communicate with others? how do you build a life with another person?) and expression of those concerns can rely heavily on aspects in order to be realized; a 3H venus trine 7H ceres could communicate its fondness through nurturing others, giving someone just a bit of sweetness off its plate
there is no greater commitment than the passing of the strawberry, and venus-juno aspects are probably experts at making these little gestures feel much more grand than they may read on paper (or maybe I’m bad at writing them??); either way, everything, no matter how seemingly insignificant, can be an announcement of love for a venus-juno native, though look to the sign and house first for guidance on how one might express this desire for companionship to another
obsessive buying
|| “you said you liked this once, so I’ll order it for you again!”
A remembers what B likes (for the fourth time now)
when I think of obsession in the chart, squares, oppositions, and conjunctions are the main aspects that come to mind (this can also include minor squares such as the sesquisquare and semi-square), and when they end up between venus and mars placements… things are going to get intense: the uncontrolled energy of mars as applied to a relationship-concerned venus can manifest as someone going far out of their way to please another – it’s almost as if mars plays the role of some sort of trigger to venus’ desire to impress those its interested in. of course this sort of behavior can exist outside of obsession; for someone with a prominent venus-mars, this may just be how they assert themselves in social situations
both ceres and ambrosia could be considered higher octaves of the moon, but for very different reasons: the moon is both a planetary representation of the mother and an expression of one’s emotional needs, hence why food and nourishment are intrinsically connected to it – ceres furthers the motherly energy, expanding the desire to be nourished with the desire to nourish, while ambrosia ties base emotional needs and reactions to the spiritual. when jupiter touches either placement, it can amplify and broaden or, in the case of the square, strain: there is a limit to how inflated a balloon can become before it pops, and the friction introduced by a square certainly doesn’t help, setting the glowing joy and charisma of jupiter on fire – in short, it takes a good thing (sharing food to express affection) and overdoes it
|| “no seriously, have all of them! I got them just for you!”
A buys B more than B can handle
the expanding energy of jupiter meeting venus in an earth or air trine reads as free-flowing abundance and generosity in relationships – air is society-facing and concerned with other people while earth is more involved in its external environment and the things it has. although taurus and libra are both ruled by venus, dealing with finances, aesthetics, and all different forms of relationships and love, taurus is more likely to overexert itself in this manner because it feels that less is simply not enough for the level of stability and comfort it wants to provide, whereas libra may become indecisive about what the right choice is and overcompensate for its fears of not being able to satisfy the wants and needs of a partner
mars in emphatic connection (conjunction, opposition) to ambrosia puts grand, spiritual ideas surrounding food into action: if food and food-sharing are viewed as a sort of conduit, mars can send that energy into overdrive, resulting in the sort of overeager hyperactivity seen in the scenario. activation of the bottom half of the chart (1H - 6H) by ambrosia or the moon could make the experience of food a bit more personal, especially conjunct the IC, the most private point of consciousness found in the chart – one may be more likely to overextend (or underextend) themselves in situations where they feel such a deep emotional connection to a defining theme
|| “put your card away, I’ll pay! get everything you want! no, medium boba is too small…”
A treats B, but forcefully somehow?
the indulgent, service-oriented, or saturnian materialism of an earth venus squaring or opposing a ceres marked by mars or jupiter (aries, scorpio / sagittarius, pisces) suggests the spending of money as an outlet for the aggressive, all-encompassing need to mother nurture a partner – the presence of the hard aspect here could quickly push this from rash to overbearing, but that can depend on how the other person receives it. virgo venus opposite pisces ceres at its most intense could present as something akin to financial worship/submission, abandoning one’s own self-worth while thinking that they can heal someone by throwing money and physical nourishment at them
the internal conflict of fixed squares, oppositions, and also conjunctions can lead to stand-offs in and outside of one’s head (like dueling cowboys in a Western, the fight isn’t ending until someone gets shot), and this contributes to that overbearing energy – imagine a scorpio ceres aspecting a mars in another fixed sign (taurus, leo, scorpio, aquarius): the double dose of both martian and fixed energy could shove good intentions right off the edge… of a cliff
chef's special
|| “you don’t like yours? let’s switch!”
A swaps plates for B’s less-appetizing meal
I expected a bunch of self-sacrificial virgo here, and instead found duty: heavy jupiterian and saturnian (sagittarius, pisces / capricorn, aquarius) placements portraying the responsibility of a father figure in keeping the wife and kids happy, especially during the outings he pays for; ceres and jupiter in particular were quite prominent, the goddess of motherhood and god/father of the sky further detailing the call to take care of another through their aspects to personal planets
if the eighth house represents the intangible things we share, the second house brings the same idea into the material world – this makes it the food-sharing center, and the central house for this analysis. bodies making squares from the 11H may activate the 2H through the pressure of and desire to live up to societal expectations (specifically the feeling that one should swap plates); an opposition from an 8H placement might manifest as someone sharing physical items and sensory experiences as a channel for expressing those lovely water house emotions (swapping plates as a declaration of one’s affections); trines with the 6H unite food as indulgence and food as routine self-nourishment, representing the process by which sharing food with another suddenly becomes a Regular Thing™ (when both parties’ needs are linked, compromise feels natural)
hi y'all! this series is a result of me experimenting with a bunch of charts and paring down to find patterns, so while many things may not specifically resonate, the general themes could be there. remember that your chart works as a whole, not as individual placements, and feel free to let me know what you think

Charts build on themselves to create a narrative. There are infinite methods of analysis and placements to analyze, but only when you link them together can you begin to see the big picture.
Mars is under the command of the sun and moon as its role is to be the overseer, commander in chief. The sun & moon’s condition in the chart affects how Mars goes into action. For example, the moon, specifically having its own internal defense mechanism such as being able to sense danger or perceive fear, would affect how one physically defends/protects themselves

intimacy in your chart (natal, synastry, composite)
venus-mars aspects
sextile: when activated, connections run steady and powerful, allowing for long-term connections to be made across all relationships; truly an underrated aspect, especially in synastry where links like these will sustain that initial attraction
square: venus and mars are at odds, introducing an inescapable friction that can light a fire under new relationships; if matured, true connections become your rock and if not, the passion (sexual and otherwise) is still something I’d personally write home about
opposition: can manifest in many ways, but usually forms some type of push-pull dynamic; you might find it difficult to marry your ideals on relationships and your more aggressive needs or tendencies, but the potential found in the strength of this aspect is there for you to grasp
conjunction: in the same sign, venus and mars work from the same frame of mind, which can bring expansive harmony to friendships, romantic relationships, and sex; out-of-sign, consider the connections that already exist between the two signs – the intersection is where the balance is built
trine: the energy between venus and mars flows so freely it may go unnoticed; the result will depend on the element(s) they find themselves in: a watery pairing may feel internal and emotionally deep, but add fire and passions become much more aggressive or flamboyant
mutual dispositors
taurus/libra mars: when mars is ruled by a venutian sign, venus becomes the dispositor – the energy of your venus placement feeds into that of your mars so if you’re looking for clarification, that should be your first stop
aries/scorpio venus: the same goes for a martian venus – your venus carries on the qualities of your mars placement, as does any other celestial body in a zodiac sign ruled by mars; scorpio is traditionally martian, even if we now associate it with pluto, so you can look to both planets as dispositors
venutian mars and martian venus: this is known as a mutual reception, where the signs of two planets are technically swapped; both mars and venus feed into each other, causing conflict through a possible (or symbolic) taurus-scorpio fixed or aries-libra cardinal opposition, yet they arc toward each other in an attempt to make themselves right – this will likely be a significant player in any chart it’s found in
air signature observations
libra mars trine aquarius venus: love this pairing from very far away lol – the venus can feel quite cold and shut-off, and then a switch flips and that possessive venutian little mars suddenly wants attention; beware if it falls in a water house (4-8-12), it’ll come out of nowhere
air venus-mars conjunction: venus and mars are so much more than love and sex and this is proven in the likes of gemini, libra, and aquarius; the societal concerns of the air signs can bring this conjunction into the realm of purpose and social role, especially in the upper half of the chart (7H - 12H)
my full mini-theory: air placements, venus-mars, and sudden intimacy
my asks are open if you have a question about a specific placement, just refer to these: guidelines for asks on placements

Air Placements, Venus-Mars, and Sudden Intimacy
in which we discuss the nature of the air signs and venus-mars dispositions
Tumblr media
warnings: none
word count: 1.2k
skin tight | ravyn lenae ft. steve lacy
quick-footed and eager
I’ve always admired the wit of the air signs – their ability to read people; the way they have with words; this social dance they play at, flitting between moments of chaos effortlessly, reaching a hand out to you, yes you. Come along for the ride, won’t you?
There is a bounce to the intellectualism, the calculated movements of an air sign. Signatures of Mercury (ruling Gemini) and Uranus (ruling Aquarius) stain the triad: Hermes’ winged feet carry him far and wide as the pale visage of Uranus throws mist into his path, obscuring who or what he may encounter on his epic journeys. And we cannot forget the graces of Venus, the Roman Aphrodite, ruler of Libra. She brings a love of people and the unusual skill to curate one’s environment, as well as the self within.
Air is a breath of something fresh, and a whiff of it on a love asteroid or two can manifest as quite distinctive, but a Venus-Mars double whammy?
Does every explosion require a match?
and venus meets mars
Before we jump into double whammies, let’s talk dispositors. The planetary ruler(s) of a sign feed into any planet in that sign. As an example, say you have an Aries Venus. Aries is ruled by Mars, making your Mars the main dispositor of Venus and any other Aries placement you might have. This would also be true for your Scorpio placements, as Mars is the traditional ruler of Scorpio.
When Mars disposits into Venus or Venus disposits into Mars or both disposit into each other (disposit is not a word lol), the two planets become connected as if they were aspecting each other, even if they’re not and especially if they are. In my experience, Venus-Mars dispositions layered on top of a close major aspect hit like a punch to the face.
So where does the air come in?
and venus disposits into mars
I’ve experienced two cases of an Aquarius Venus feeding into a Libra Mars. The Mars placement is already an interesting one on its own, with the introduction of Libra’s Venutian love of harmony and justice. The intrigue of a Libra Mars is found in its social mask, as aggression and conflict are pushed away to maintain a fragile veneer of amity. The Aquarian eccentricity of Venus, however, establishes an unevenness: cracks in the mask.
Aquarius is ruled by two planets, Uranus (modern ruler) and Saturn (traditional ruler), allowing the sign to be read as an attempt to break free from restrictions. Different shapes and stages of Aquarius exist in every chart, and not all are fully matured. The raw, untouched, underdeveloped Aquarius takes on a notable Saturnian coldness, leaning further into the stubborn dogmatism only a fixed air sign could fully bring to the table. This particular Venus signature can weave between shutting out and turning on, and that energy goes straight for Mars if they’re trine. When the Uranian essence does come out – typically quite suddenly, as is the nature of the planet – it can be like someone flipped a switch, and the full aggression of suspended affection is suddenly on top of you, flailing for your attention.
Trade the Aquarius Venus for one marked by Gemini, and the throughline of playfulness runs clear. Mercury-meets-air is a crossroads of tricks and giggles, Hermes delivering his messages alongside good-natured pranks. This can act as a distraction from the Martian mayhem Libra so wants to avoid, but who really cares when you’re having fun? And if these two placements happen to be trine, the diversion will go down especially easy. Expect teasing and maybe even a quick slip into a romantic little vibe, only if the feelings are there.
so it's mutual?
This doesn’t work quite as smoothly the other way with Mars dispositing into Venus since the Venus placements would be restricted to Mars-ruled signs (Aries, Scorpio), but a mutual disposition is always fun.
In the event that a chart contained a Libra Mars and Aries Venus in near-perfect opposition, the two planets would be triply tied: Mars would feed into Venus, Venus would feed into Mars, and both would tug desperately at each other from across the chart. Aries Venus brings a spontaneous and magnetic passion, and possible naivete, to a Mars that throws a need for control and prudent self-management right back.
These energies struggle against each other in an attempt to reach one another and yet each informs the other. If the conflict of such a placement goes unresolved, one may doubt themselves in their relationships and along the dual-house axis upon which the opposition lays. Still, there is much potential to be found in the expert mediation of a Libra Mars as applied to the deep attachments formed by an Aries Venus and vice versa, where the unapologetic passions of Venus enable Mars to confront the disputes at hand.
tying the knot: venus meets mars
And what if Venus and Mars are conjunct?
When the two planets meet in a sign, they take on the essence of the sign in question, feeding off each other rather than into. Venus-Mars is known for being especially explosive due to the connotation of a union between romantic and sexual love and attraction, but that may not ring true in every sign or house. It’s difficult to sit here and write observations knowing that all charts are so different, right down to the degrees, yet I can say that the concerns of these planets are inextricably linked in such an aspect. It may be in a way that isn’t easily observable to an outsider or has not yet unraveled itself for those whose chart it graces, but there is indeed meaning that deserves to be derived, and it likely exists within the elemental theme.
The concerns of the air signs often tend to have a societal face. Think the humanitarianism of Aquarius or the diplomacy of Libra. Think of Hermes, the Greek counterpart to Mercury; the same Mercury that rules Gemini. The intimacy implied by Venus-Mars could be much more abstract than it first appears. Maybe you’re destined to bring people together by solving conflicts on the streets or in the courts or maybe your purpose is to lighten the very real burden we as humans collectively share. You could be a performer, a socialite, an activist…
Regardless, this approach to love at the intersection of Venus and Mars is hard to grasp within the bounds of just another astrology observations post, and yet it begs to be observed. It may initially lack the fanfare, the spectacle granted to your cinematic rom-com, but it still manages to reach new heights in epic.
So what exactly happens when Venus meets Mars in an endless sky?
this is my first post so there's not much of interest on my blog yet, but feel free to check out my very much under construction main masterlist in the meantime :))

Major Astrology Angles & Narratives
ASC/1H: The story of your birth circumstances, your world view, how the world initially perceives you, your vibe. This is the narrative that you were introduced to from birth and the narrative that governs the way you interact with the world initially. Beyond that, it can be the story that people tend to assume you fall into based on appearance, vibe, and initial impressions. Will likely internalize early, but may change and shift as you grow and your views change.
IC/4H: Your hidden self, your inner world, the place of ancestors. This is where the narratives you tell yourself may live. The intuitive spaces and vibes you get from where “home” is. These feel like somewhat unconscious stories that it may take some self-reflection and deep dive into the inner world to find. These are also the stories passed on from ancestors and the demons you that feel both familiar, but not yours because they are tied to your bloodline.
DSC/7H: The “other”, the shadow, the parts of yourself that you meet only through your interaction with others, the part of you that you cast off and fail to see in yourself, how your relationship with others reflects on the self. These are the narratives you tell about others not realizing that they’re really the stories you’re telling about yourself. This is the part of the story that you learn to accept and integrate, to make decisions on at critical parts in your life to improve the relationship with self and others. It’s how relationships reveal you to yourself.
MC/10H: What you’re aiming for, your reputation, your career, the impact you wish to leave on the world. This is the story that you want to tell the world, the one that breaks free of the constraints of ancestry and hidden self in the 4H and the mark you leave on the world. If you could leave a story behind, this is the one that you want the world to see and accept.
