hi everyone.  i’ve known my situation was getting bad for a while.  i’ve been living with three friends since 2019, who’ve shared the rent with me since we graduated from university. at first it was fine.  we knew each other well enough because we took a class together.  the problem is, they are racist.  at first they hid it behind jokes, but as the months have gone on they’ve been increasingly more open about it.. particularly one of the girls, who will scoff at my rituals, and one time hid my hijab. when i was late to work she laughed and said it was a joke.   i’ve wanted to leave for a while but i don’t have the money.  with palestine getting constant news coverage  –  their gross comments have gotten worse, to the point that i don’t feel safe anymore.  please help me afford a couple months of rent and food so i can get on my own two feet. please please please.

My idea of what character would be what card - not the greatest, I know.

Israeli lynching mobs have started checking cars on roads if the people in it were Jewish or Palestinians.

The man driving the car is Palestinian and every time he got stopped he had to repeatedly say “Yahoodi! Yahoodi!” (which means Jewish in Hebrew/Arabic) to avoid being lynched by Israeli pogromists. (if you listen closely, the first man asked him if he was “Aravi” which is Arab in Hebrew.)

Today is Eid and many Muslim Palestinians are saying that they’re afraid to celebrate Eid or wish each other a happy holiday in public because they’re worried of being attacked by these mobs made of Israeli settlers and the same Israeli police who have been terrorizing Palestinians all Ramadan long are no where to be seen, not that them being there will change anything, they will probably either protect the settlers or even join them in their lynching.

We are living in fucking 2021 people and this is happening in the self-proclaimed “only democracy in the Middle East”

Israel very clearly provoked the escalation by deciding to invade Palastinia during the end of Ramadan with the goal to cause a emotional response. They were most likely aware that their actions the past few days would cause airstrikes against israeli civilians and they conciously decided to provoce said to have a scapegoat to hide behind while they futher the intensity of their attacks twoards Palestinia

The Isreali goverment most likely knew what would happen and decided endangering their own civilians to have a excuse to futher terrorize Gaza would be worth it and now they are trying to use the consequences of their own actions as a way to futher propagand their ideology to disoriented and emotionally charged israeli while gaslighting the entire world by claiming victimhood.

Israel used their own civilians as collateral damage in a warefare decision and are futher using them and their suffering as a propaganda tool.

the dc database has a recommended reading section

comics back issues has a list of reading orders as well as their guide to comics for new readers
