did anyone else ever find it odd how easily zeus offered percy godhood? and how it almost seemed like he secretly wanted percy to accept? well i did, and after thinking long and hard about it…

i don’t think percy understood what turning down godhood really meant

demigods do tasks for the gods because they don’t have to follow any rules. they aren’t controlled by anyone or anything. demigods are a strange hybrid - not god, not human. they are in between the laws of immortal and mortal. they are not supposed to exist. yet they do, which is what makes them so extraordinary.

percy is crazy powerful. of course, there’s the aspect of raw power. he has domain over air (storms/hurricanes), land (earthquakes and volcanic eruptions), and sea (monster waves, tsunamis, floods, basically anything that involves water.) he can control bodily fluids. he has super strength (with one hand, he held up an unconscious annabeth who was being pulled down by both arachne AND the forces of tartarus). he has super speed (he moves faster than bullets in TTC). no matter how badly you hurt him, he automatically heals and regenerates the second he touches water (an ability no other demigod has). he’s an extraordinary swordsman. very skilled in combat and warfare. he’s smart, and thinks of plans quickly. but he also has a great deal of social/poltcial power… i mean, he’s a leader and hero to both the greek and roman camps. if he says “attack,” all demigods, greek or roman, attack. no question. do you have any idea how threatening that is to the olympians? he’s also best friends and has an empathy link with the lord of the wild, which basically means all of nature is by his side too, including all land creatures. he’s also prince of horses, which means pegasi too (both of which are extremely useful in battle). and of course all sea creatures, including the mythical ones like krakens and leviathans. not to mention many of the gods really like him. hermes, hephaestus, athena, aphrodite, and dionysis have all gone out of their way to help him. artemis holds him in high regard, especially since he saved her. apollo literally considers him his friend! and poseidon - his dad, the god who is the biggest threat to zeus - is fiercely protective of him and cares about him a great deal. many minor gods also like him because he demanded them to be given more respect and for their kids to be welcomed at the camps.

percy unknowingly has more power, both physical and social/political, than anyone should ever have. he may have absolutely no idea, but it must scare the living daylights out of zeus. by accepting zeus’s offer to become a god, percy would have submitted himself to the control of zeus. zeus would be his king and ruler. zeus would then have complete control over him.

but percy said no. therefore, percy remains out of zeus’s control.

percy had no idea what he was doing. but thank the gods he made that choice. thank the gods he’s an incredible person. thank the gods percy jackson has no desire for power, because he has more of it than anyone should ever be able to have.

god, i am so fucking pissed. i haven’t been on twit for a little bit but i just went on there and i’m bombarded with videos and photos of the members being mobbed. when i tell you i am so fucking pissed, you’d best fucking believe. i really don’t think that belift realizes, or they just don’t give a shit, that these intense situations can lead to a lot of mental and physical distress. like, i know someone did not just hit sunghoon in the fucking head with a goddamn phone!? especially after he just got back from being unwell?! when i tell you i am so close to fighting each and every single chinese “engene” that was there, i fucking mean it. like the mental affliction alone is a lot. the stress the members must have endured in that?? like imagine how claustrophobic it would be to have so many people, pressing themselves up against you to the point where it starts getting difficult to breathe. them screaming in your ears to the point you can barely hear your own voice. great way to induce a fucking panic attack. the stress of it all? like, belift does not fucking think!? not only the mental impact this could have on them, but also the physical effects that could potentially transpire? if the stress got to them, they literally could’ve fainted, thrown up, etc etc.

TW!! not only that, but what if someone tried something on one of the members. they could get groped or fucking killed. god forbid, but let’s face it. these “fans” are fucking insane. they’ve threatened to hurt our boys before. you have no idea what could happen if these situations are not handled appropriately and effectively. things could go so terribly wrong if someone actually did try to do something or had a weapon with them. belift is actively putting enhypen in consistent danger. they need to hire professionally trained bodyguards and have at least 2-3 bodyguards per member in order to properly protect them. the members are humans and belift needs to start treating them as such instead of as assets.

ensuring the safety of enhypen should be a top priority. i hope belift takes the necessary steps to protect them better. but knowing them, it’s unlikely…

again, no need to interact, just felt i needed to get this out here. i hope enha is doing better, and i hope belift finally fucking does something but, again, knowing them, they likely won’t.

it’s absolutely absurd the amount of riki smut and sexualization that occurs on here. i’m being so serious when i tell you i’ve seen countless smuts about him. it’s so disgusting how people can sexualize someone who hasn’t even gotten out of his teens yet. i just don’t understand why these people feel the need to sexualize him, especially when he’s still so young. i literally don’t care what anyone has to say in defense of these brain dead, stupid ass, gross mother fucking riki smut writers. i don’t care if he’s “legal” or not. i don’t care if he’s an “adult.” i don’t care if he “signed up for it,” or “feeds into it.” i don’t give a shit. he did not “sign up for it” when he decided to become an idol. being an idol doesn’t mean that they are no longer human. that they no longer get to be seen as human. that they no longer have human emotions. and sure as shit does not mean that you get to use them for you disgusting fantasies. they are just as human as the rest of us. riki is not your toy. he does not “feed into it.” you are just sexualizing normal things because you riki smut writers are weird as fuck. even if he is “legal,” he is still a kid. even if he is “legal,” that does make it morally right. i’m sick and fucking tired of these fuck ass smut writers thinking they can use riki however they please. you guys have sexualized him since he was 14.

not to mention the massive amount of hate he received when he was 15. a fucking child. i swear to god, people are so fucked in the brain. it not only affected riki, though it especially affected him, but also the people around him. i know his mom and sister were on twitter back then. imagine seeing you son or your brother receiving death threats. imagine seeing your son or brother being bashed by so many people. imagine seeing people saying “this is the reason your mom or dad doesn’t love you” to your son or brother. imagine being the members, watching the person they consider family being sent death threats. imagine watching the person they consider family start to close off. imagine watching your son, your brother, or the person you consider family, mentally decline right in front of you.

i don’t even want to imagine what it would have been like to be riki. but i’m so, and when i say so, i mean so fucking proud of him for being capable and strong enough to pull through and overcome that. even if it still continues on, he is able to present himself to us. to smile and laugh. to talk to us. even after everything “engenes” have done, he still managed to pull through and be there. i’m so, so, so fucking proud of him. i can’t imagine, i don’t want to imagine, just how hard it must have been to go through, let alone pull through that. he’s so strong, even when he’s not. even when things get hard, he makes it through. that’s so human. it’s inevitable to go through things. but a lot of us don’t have the capability to pull through. he does. that’s something to admire. that’s something i admire.
