pairing: established relationship, jake x reader
warnings: tooth rotting sweetness??
"baby, why are you trying so hard?" you look up at jake, who is sitting on the hotel room couch. thinking to yourself 'what on earth did you just do for him to ask that question'.
"what are you talking about?" getting up from the bed and walking towards him, still supporting the confused yet amused look you had on your face.
"you're trying too hard, why are you rolling your r's so much?" at this point you start to think your loosing your marbles or you're just plain dumb, so you ask him again.
"why can't you just say 'harder' (hahda) and not haRdER?" jake smiles and chuckles the whole time as the cogs in your brain start to spin again. "maybe because im not aussie?"
he shrugs and removes the pillow next to him and letting you sit down. "i don't know, it's just extra work you don't need to do"
is this man serious? but then again, you were cracking up because of him. "okay mate, teach me how to speak more like you" you say as you grab his water cup on the table.
"fine, what do you call that thing in your hand?" pointing at the now half filled cup. "a cup of water?"
"EH! WRONG!" shaking your head at how ridiculous yet cute this interaction was going. "say 'water' again," jake grins mischievously, leaning in closer. you roll your eyes playfully. "water," you say, emphasizing the 'r' in your usual accent.
jake chuckles, shaking his head. "come on, love, give it a go in the aussie accent. repeat after me: 'wah-tah.'" you giggle, attempting to mimic his australian accent. "wah-tah," you repeat, exaggerating the 'ah' sound.
he applauds you, laughing uncontrollably. "brilliant! you're getting the hang of it. soon you'll be speaking aussie like a true blue!"
after a few more playful attempts at mastering the aussie accent, you and jake collapse onto the bed, breathless from laughter and joy. "thanks for indulging me, yn," jake says, pulling you close and planting a soft kiss on your forehead.
you snuggle into his embrace, feeling grateful for this silly and wonderful moment together.
"anytime, jake," you reply, feeling your heart swell with affection.

The dreams she once cradled in her heart had shattered like glass, leaving behind slivers of hope that she struggled to hold onto. Her journey to become a K-pop artist had been tumultuous, marked by setbacks and heartbreaks that seemed insurmountable.
The practice room was suffocating, the air thick with tension as Yn struggled to keep up with the demanding choreography. Her limbs felt like lead, refusing to obey the commands of her racing mind.
"You're off-beat again, Yn," the instructor's voice cut through the haze of frustration, his disappointment like a dagger to her heart.
"I'm sorry," Yn muttered, her cheeks burning with embarrassment.
The other trainees exchanged knowing glances, their silent judgment weighing heavily on her shoulders.
As the years passed, Yn found refuge in a new career, one that embraced her passion for storytelling. But the echoes of her abandoned dreams lingered in the corners of her mind, a constant reminder of the roads she dared not tread again.
It was a casual invitation from an old friend that thrust her back into the world she had once yearned to conquer. An award show, she was told, a celebration of talent and perseverance. Reluctantly, she agreed, unaware of the storm that awaited her.
"Come on, Yn, it'll be fun! Just like old times," Sarah pleaded, her eyes wide with excitement.
Yn hesitated, her heart heavy with memories she had long tried to bury. "I don't know, Sarah. I've moved on from all of that."
Sarah's expression softened, understanding flickering in her eyes. "I know, but this could be your chance to see how far you've come. Please, just give it a chance."
With a sigh, Yn relented, the tug of nostalgia pulling her towards a past she had fought so hard to leave behind.
The grandeur of the venue mirrored the grandiosity of the dreams that once consumed her. Surrounded by flashing cameras and swirling whispers, Yn felt like a ghost wandering through memories long buried.
And then, amidst the sea of faces, she saw him. Riki. The boy whose laughter had once danced in harmony with hers, whose touch had ignited a fire within her that she thought would never dim.
Except now, he was no longer the boy she remembered. He stood tall and confident, bathed in the spotlight of his success. As a member of ENHYPEN, he had ascended to heights that Yn could only dream of.
Their eyes met across the crowded room backstage, and for a fleeting moment, time stood still. In his gaze, Yn saw traces of the past, of a love that had once burned bright but had long since turned to ash.
When he approached her, his smile was like a bittersweet melody, stirring memories she had buried deep within her heart.
"Yn," he said, his voice soft yet tinged with a hint of sadness. "It's been a long time."
Yn nodded, unable to tear her gaze away from him. "Yes, it has."
They exchanged pleasantries, the weight of unspoken words hanging heavy between them.
"I never thought I'd see you here," Riki said, his eyes searching hers for answers she couldn't give.
"I never thought I'd come," Yn admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
As the night wore on, Yn found herself drawn to him, unable to resist the pull of their shared history.
"We were so young back then," Riki said, his voice tinged with nostalgia. "Do you ever think about what could have been?"
Yn hesitated, memories flooding her mind like a torrential downpour. "Sometimes," she admitted, her voice barely audible over the din of the crowd.
In the quiet moments between conversations, Yn saw glimpses of the boy she had loved, the one who had once believed in her when she could not believe in herself.
"I'm proud of you, Yn," Riki said, his words like a balm to her wounded soul.
And as the final notes of the night faded into the darkness, Yn made her peace with the ghosts of her past. For in the heartache and the longing, she had found closure, a silent acknowledgment of the roads they choose and the ones they dare not tread again.
And as she watched him disappear into the night, Yn knew that their story was not meant to be a fairy tale. Instead, it was a chapter in the tapestry of their lives, a fleeting moment captured in the echoes of a dream.

In the heart of a quaint town nestled amidst rolling hills and whispering trees stood a venerable old church, its weathered stones bearing the weight of centuries of prayers and whispered confessions. Within its hallowed halls, amidst the flickering candlelight and the solemn hymns, YN found herself seated in one of the wooden pews, her gaze fixed upon the altar where Heeseung, her once-beloved, stood exchanging vows with another.
The echoes of memories danced around her, haunting whispers of a love that once bloomed like the roses in the churchyard, now withered and forgotten. YN's heart ached as she watched Heeseung, his eyes alight with joy as he clasped hands with his bride. How she longed to be the one standing by his side, to feel his touch, to hear his voice whispering sweet nothings in her ear.
The sun dipped low on the horizon, casting a golden glow over the quiet park where Heeseung and YN sat side by side on a weathered bench, their laughter mingling with the gentle rustle of leaves overhead. They were just teenagers then, their hearts as untamed as the wind that swept through the trees, yet already they knew that their bond was something rare and precious. Heeseung's hand brushed against YN's as they shared stolen glances beneath the fading light, his gaze soft and earnest as he spoke. "You know, YN, I've been thinking…" "What is it, Heeseung?" YN asked, turning to face him with a curious smile playing upon her lips. "I think… I think we're meant to be each other's end games," Heeseung said, his voice barely above a whisper as if afraid to speak the words aloud. YN's heart skipped a beat at his words, her breath catching in her throat. "End games?" Heeseung nodded, his eyes shining with a determination that belied his tender age. "Yeah, you know, like in those movies we watch. The ones where the two people are meant to be together no matter what happens. That's us, YN. We're each other's end games." A soft smile tugged at YN's lips as she reached out to take Heeseung's hand in hers, their fingers intertwining like vines in a hidden garden. "I like the sound of that, Heeseung. You and me, against the world." Heeseung's grin widened at her words, his heart swelling with a love so fierce it threatened to consume him whole. "And YN, one day… one day, I'm going to marry you. I promise." YN's cheeks flushed with a rosy hue as she leaned in closer, her breath warm against Heeseung's ear. "I'll hold you to that, Heeseung. I'll hold you to that." And in that fleeting moment, beneath the fading light of the setting sun, Heeseung and YN made a vow to each other that would echo through the corridors of time. For they knew that their love was not bound by the constraints of reality but rather by the unyielding force of destiny, guiding them ever closer to their shared end game of forever.
But fate had other plans, tearing them apart like pages ripped from a cherished book. YN's mind wandered back to the days when they first met, a chance encounter in the bustling streets of the town square. Heeseung had been a beacon of light in her dark world, his smile a balm to her wounded soul. They had shared dreams and secrets beneath the stars, promising each other forever in whispered vows of love.
Yet, as swiftly as the seasons changed, so too did their love unravel. Distance and time became their adversaries, tearing at the fragile threads that bound them together. And despite their desperate attempts to cling to what they once had, the inevitable tide of life swept them apart, leaving YN adrift in a sea of loneliness and regret.
Now, as she sat in the quiet sanctuary of the church, YN couldn't help but wonder what could have been. Would they have found their way back to each other if circumstances had been different? Or was their love nothing more than a fleeting moment in the tapestry of time?
As Heeseung stood at the altar, his heart pounding in his chest, his eyes scanned the crowded church until they landed on YN, sitting amidst the congregation. For a moment, time seemed to stand still as he gazed at her, his breath catching in his throat. He hadn't expected to see her there, a haunting reminder of the past he had tried so hard to forget.
A wave of sadness washed over Heeseung as he realized that YN was not meant to be a guest at this wedding but rather the bride by his side. His mother's fondness for YN had prompted the invitation, a gesture of kindness that now felt like a cruel twist of fate.
Heeseung's gaze lingered on YN, his mind drifting back to the days when they had dreamed of a future together, promising each other forever beneath the stars. How different things might have been if they had stayed true to those vows, if he had been brave enough to defy the odds and follow his heart.
But now, as he stood on the precipice of a new beginning, Heeseung knew that he had to let go of the past and embrace the future that lay before him. With a heavy sigh, he tore his gaze away from YN and forced himself to focus on the ceremony unfolding before him.
Just as he began to regain his composure, the priest cleared his throat, drawing Heeseung's attention back to the present. He offered a sheepish apology, blaming his momentary lapse in concentration on nerves.
The priest chuckled softly, his eyes twinkling with mirth. "Ah, young love. It has a way of making even the bravest among us tremble with fear. But fear not, my son. For love conquers all, even nerves on a wedding day."
Heeseung managed a weak smile in response, grateful for the priest's lighthearted jest. But deep down, he couldn't shake the feeling that he had just witnessed a glimpse of the life he could have had with YN, a life that now existed only in the shadows of his memories. YN's heart clenched at the sight, tears shimmering in her eyes like pearls in the morning dew. She knew then that she had lost him forever, condemned to forever be a silent observer in the theater of his life.
As the ceremony continued, YN found herself overcome with a flood of emotions, tears welling up in her eyes like raindrops on a stormy night. She tried to blink them away, to hide the ache in her heart behind a veil of smiles, but the weight of her unspoken sorrow threatened to consume her.
To those around her, it seemed as though YN was shedding tears of joy, her emotions overflowing at the sight of her dear friend finding happiness. But Heeseung's mother, seated beside her, knew the truth behind those glistening tears. With a gentle understanding born of a mother's intuition, she reached out and pulled YN into a tender side hug, offering silent comfort in her time of need.
YN leaned into the embrace, grateful for the warmth and compassion of Heeseung's mother. In that moment, she felt a sense of solace amidst the turmoil of her emotions, knowing that she was not alone in her silent grief.
Across the aisle, Heeseung couldn't help but steal a glance at YN, his heart breaking at the sight of her tear-stained cheeks. He longed to reach out to her, to wipe away her tears and whisper words of reassurance, but he knew that he had no right to intrude upon her pain.
While Heeseung's heart was torn between the past and the present, his bride, unaware of the turmoil within him, cast a sidelong glance in his direction, her brow furrowed with concern. She had noticed his momentary lapse in focus, his gaze lingering on someone in the crowd, and it stirred a flicker of annoyance within her.
As the ceremony progressed, she leaned in close to Heeseung, her voice a hushed whisper against his ear. "Is everything alright, Heeseung? You seem distracted."
Heeseung forced a smile, his mind still lingering on YN and the memories they had shared. "I'm fine. Just lost in the moment, that's all."
As the priest's solemn voice echoed through the hallowed halls of the church, announcing the pivotal moment in the ceremony, a heavy silence descended upon the congregation.
Should anyone present know of any reason that this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace.”
All eyes turned towards the altar, anticipation hanging thick in the air like the scent of incense. Heeseung's heart pounded in his chest as he glanced back and forth between YN and his bride, his mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. In that fleeting moment, he felt the weight of a thousand regrets pressing down upon him, each one urging him to speak the words that had been left unspoken for far too long.
Just as the priest was about to continue, his lips parting to recite the sacred vows that would bind Heeseung and his bride together for eternity, Heeseung's voice rang out, clear and resolute in the silence.
"I… I have something to say."
The congregation held its breath as Heeseung took a step forward, his heart pounding in his chest like a drumbeat. His eyes locked with YN's, a silent plea lingering in their depths, begging for understanding.
"I… I cannot continue with this marriage," Heeseung declared, his voice trembling with emotion. "I cannot pledge my life to someone when my heart belongs to another."
Gasps of shock rippled through the church as Heeseung's confession hung in the air like a heavy fog. His bride's eyes widened in disbelief, her hand flying to her mouth in a gesture of stunned silence.
But amidst the chaos, amidst the whispers and the murmurs of disbelief, YN remained perfectly still, her gaze locked with Heeseung's, a single tear shimmering in the corner of her eye.
For in that moment, she knew that the love they had shared had never truly died, that the bond between them was stronger than the vows spoken in haste and the promises made in vain. And as Heeseung stepped down from the altar and made his way towards her, his heart laid bare for all to see, YN reached out and took his hand in hers, silently promising to stand by his side through whatever trials lay ahead.
As Heeseung's supposed bride's voice rose in a crescendo of anger and disbelief, her words cutting through the air like a knife, Heeseung's family remained steadfast in their support. His parents, sibling, and relatives stood by his side, their expressions a mixture of determination and defiance in the face of opposition.
Heeseung's supposed father-in-law joined the chorus of protests, his voice booming with indignation as he demanded an explanation for this sudden betrayal. But Heeseung's family remained unmoved, their loyalty unwavering as they stood united in their belief that love should never be sacrificed on the altar of convention.
"You can't do this, Heeseung! You made a commitment to me!" she cried, her voice cracking with emotion as she struggled to comprehend the sudden turn of events.
Heeseung's supposed father-in-law joined in the fray, his face flushed with rage as he pointed an accusatory finger at Heeseung. "You're making a grave mistake, boy! You'll regret this for the rest of your life!"
But amidst the cacophony of voices, Heeseung remained steadfast, his gaze fixed upon YN, his heart unyielding in its resolve. As he reached her side, he took her hand in his, his touch gentle yet firm.
"I'm sorry, YN," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper as he turned to face her. "I couldn't go through with it. Not when my heart belongs to you."
YN's eyes shimmered with unshed tears as she looked up at Heeseung, her heart swelling with a mixture of love and gratitude. "I understand, Heeseung. And I'm here for you, no matter what."
Amidst the chaos, Heeseung's mother stepped forward, her voice calm yet firm as she addressed the gathering. "Love cannot be forced, nor can it be contained within the confines of tradition. Our son has made his choice, and we stand by him, regardless of the consequences."
Heeseung's father nodded in agreement, his gaze steady as he met the accusing stares of those who questioned their decision. "We raised our son to follow his heart, to be true to himself above all else. And if his heart leads him to YN, then so be it."
Heeseung's supposed bride's protests faltered in the face of such unwavering conviction. With a final glare directed at Heeseung and YN, she turned on her heel and stormed out of the church, her dreams of a fairytale wedding shattered by the harsh reality of love's unpredictable whims.
As the dust settled and the echoes of the confrontation faded away, Heeseung stood beside YN, his hand clasped tightly in hers, a sense of peace washing over him like a gentle breeze. For in that moment, surrounded by the love and support of his family, he knew that he had made the right choice, that true love was worth any sacrifice, no matter how great.
And as they walked out of the church together, hand in hand, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, Heeseung and YN knew that their love was a force to be reckoned with, a bond that could withstand even the harshest storms. For in the end, love always finds a way, lighting the path towards a future filled with hope, promise, and the sweetest kind of redemption.
For sometimes, love is not measured by the grand gestures or the elaborate ceremonies, but by the courage to speak the truth and follow the heart's deepest desires, no matter the cost. And in the quiet sanctuary of the church, amidst the echoes of a love that refused to be silenced, Heeseung and YN found their own happily ever after, bound together by the timeless threads of fate and the unyielding power of true love.
As the dust settled and the echoes of the confrontation faded away, Heeseung and YN found themselves standing outside the church, the cool breeze of the evening wrapping around them like a comforting embrace. They turned to each other, their eyes locking in a silent exchange of understanding and gratitude.
Heeseung was the first to speak, his voice filled with emotion as he reached out to cup YN's cheek tenderly. "You remember what I told you, right? That I'd marry you and only you."
A soft smile tugged at the corners of YN's lips as she leaned into his touch, her heart swelling with affection. "Yeah, I remember. You almost did, didn't you?"
Heeseung's expression softened as he shook his head, his eyes glistening with sincerity. "It wasn't by choice, YN. You know that. I never wanted to hurt you."
YN reached out and took Heeseung's hand in hers, squeezing it gently as she met his gaze with unwavering understanding. "I know, Heeseung. And I'm not blaming you. Sometimes life just has a way of throwing us curveballs."
Heeseung nodded, a sense of relief washing over him as he realized that YN harbored no ill will towards him. "I'm just glad you're here, YN. With me."
YN's smile widened as she leaned in closer, pressing a tender kiss to Heeseung's lips. "Me too, Heeseung. Me too."
And as they stood there, bathed in the soft glow of the moonlight, Heeseung and YN knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, hand in hand, united in their love and their unwavering commitment to each other. For in the end, their bond was stronger than any obstacle, a beacon of hope and resilience in a world filled with uncertainty.

"Honey, you're gonna be late for school!" your mom calls you for the nth time from the back door. It was nearing the time where your dad had to drop you off to school, but there you were with your father, helping him plant another set of flowers and plants.
You glance back at the array of blooms, their vibrant colors dancing in the morning sunlight, and you smile to yourself. This is where you belong, among the petals and leaves, nurturing life and beauty. The scent of soil and fresh blossoms fills your senses, grounding you in the present moment.
Despite your mother's persistent reminders, you can't tear yourself away from the garden. Each flower tells a story, and you're determined to be a part of it, to coax every bud into full bloom. This passion for floristry has been with you since you were a child, and it's only grown stronger over the years.
As your dad finishes planting the last flower, he gives you a proud smile. "You've got a green thumb, just like your old man," he says, ruffling your hair affectionately. You grin up at him, feeling a surge of pride at his praise.
With a reluctant sigh, you finally tear yourself away from the garden and head inside to grab your school bag. As you rush to the car, you can't help but steal one last glance at the flowers, already imagining the arrangements you'll create when you return home.
-
The film set buzzed with energy as lights flickered, cameras rolled, and actors delivered their lines with precision. Amidst the organized chaos, Jungwon stood tall, a determined expression etched on his face as he observed the scene unfolding before him. His mother, the main producer of the film, moved gracefully among the crew, her presence commanding respect and admiration from everyone on set.
During a brief break in filming, Jungwon found himself standing beside his mother, watching her confer with the director about the next scene. Despite his young age, he felt a sense of pride in being part of the filmmaking process, a passion he inherited from his mother.
"Jungwon, darling, are you ready for school?" his mother asked, her voice cutting through the din of the set.
Jungwon nodded, but before he could make his way to the car, his mother's assistant, a young woman with a brisk manner and sharp wit, approached them.
"Mrs. Yang, I can take Jungwon to school. It's on my way," she offered, her gaze flickering briefly to Jungwon before returning to his mother.
Mrs. Yang considered the offer for a moment before nodding in agreement. "Thank you, Minji. That would be a great help."
As they made their way to the car, he couldn't shake the feeling that today held the promise of something unexpected, something beyond the confines of his usual routine.
-
As your father pulls up to the school gates, you gather your bag and prepare to step out of the car. Just as you're about to open the door, you notice Jungwon's familiar figure approaching from the opposite direction. Your eyes meet, and for a brief moment, a spark of recognition passes between you.
"Hey" Jungwon says with a friendly smile as he reaches your side.
"Hey" you reply, returning his smile.
You fall into step together, walking side by side towards the school building. It's a strange feeling for both of you, this newfound camaraderie born out of shared history and mutual acquaintances. Normally, you would exchange a polite greeting and then go your separate ways, but today feels different somehow.
"So, how's it going?" Jungwon asks, breaking the silence between you.
"Pretty good, I guess," you reply, shrugging. "Just the usual school stuff."
Jungwon nods, his expression thoughtful. "Yeah, same here. But hey, at least it's Friday, right?"
You share a laugh at Jungwon's remark, the tension between you easing with each step you take. It's strange, you think, how comfortable you feel in Jungwon's presence, as if you've known each other for much longer than you actually have.
As the bell rings signaling the start of the first class, you and Jungwon find yourselves walking side by side once again. The easy rapport you shared earlier continues as you chat about random topics, enjoying each other's company more than you expected.
As you enter the classroom, you head towards your usual seat, but Jungwon surprises you by walking over and taking the empty seat beside you. You exchange a glance, both surprised and pleased by his decision.
"Hey," Jungwon says with a grin as he settles into the seat next to you. "Mind if I sit here? I was enjoying our conversation earlier and thought we could continue it."
You can't help but smile at his words, feeling a warmth spread through you at the thought of spending more time with him. "Sure, I'd like that," you reply, scooting your chair a bit closer to his.
As the teacher begins the lesson, you and Jungwon continue your conversation in hushed tones, exchanging thoughts and ideas with a newfound ease. It's a refreshing change from the usual monotony of class, and you find yourself more engaged and focused than ever before.
By the end of the class, you and Jungwon have covered a range of topics, from your favorite movies to your dreams for the future. As you gather your things to leave, Jungwon turns to you with a smile.
"Thanks for letting me sit with you," he says, his eyes sparkling with genuine appreciation. "I had a great time talking to you."
You return his smile, feeling a sense of warmth and connection that you haven't felt in a long time. "Anytime," you reply, meaning every word. "We should do it again sometime."
As you and Jungwon part ways after class, a sense of contentment lingers in the air, leaving you with a smile on your face as you step out of the room. However, your thoughts are quickly interrupted as you spot your best friend waiting for you outside, a mischievous grin playing on her lips.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" she teases, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively. "Seems like someone had a little study date with Jungwon, huh?"
You roll your eyes at her playful tone, but a blush creeps up your cheeks nonetheless. "It wasn't a study date," you protest, though your voice lacks conviction.
"Uh-huh, sure it wasn't," your friend replies, nudging you with her elbow. "I saw you two in there, chatting away like old friends. Don't think I didn't notice."
You sigh, knowing there's no point in denying it. "Okay, fine, maybe we were talking. But it was nothing serious," you insist, though a part of you wonders if it could be.
Your friend raises an eyebrow, her grin widening. "Sure, keep telling yourself that. But mark my words, something's brewing between you two. I can feel it."
You shake your head, unable to suppress a smile at your friend's antics. "You're ridiculous, you know that?"
"Hey, I'm just calling it like I see it," she says with a shrug. "But seriously, if something is going on with you and Jungwon, I'm here for it. I ship it."
You laugh at her enthusiasm, grateful for her unwavering support. "Thanks, I guess. We'll see what happens."
With that, you and your friend head off down the hallway, the teasing banter fading into the background as you both prepare for the rest of the day ahead.
For Jungwon, he steps out of the classroom, he's greeted by his friends Sunoo and Ni-ki, who are waiting for him with smirks on their faces. Sunoo nudges him playfully, raising an eyebrow inquisitively.
"Look who decided to grace us with his presence," Sunoo says, a teasing lilt in his voice. "And who's this mysterious girl you were strolling in with earlier? Spill the beans, Jungwon."
Jungwon rolls his eyes at his friend's antics, though he can't help but feel a twinge of embarrassment at being caught. "It's nothing," he insists, though his tone lacks conviction.
"Nothing, huh?" Ni-ki chimes in, his grin widening. "That's not what it looked like from where we were standing. You two seemed pretty chummy."
"Okay, fine, we were talking," he admits, feeling a flush of warmth spread across his cheeks. "But it's not a big deal." Sunoo and Ni-ki exchange a knowing glance, their smiles turning into mischievous grins. "Sure, whatever you say," Sunoo says, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
"But seriously, who is she?" Ni-ki asks, his curiosity getting the better of him. "I don't think I've seen her around before."
"Just someone from my class," he replies, hoping to deflect their interest. "We were just talking, that's all." "Alright, man, if you say so," Sunoo says with a shrug. "But if anything juicy happens, you better fill us in."
-
As you make your way home from school, the events of the day replay in your mind like a movie reel. You can't shake the feeling of warmth that lingers from your conversation with Jungwon earlier. Despite your initial hesitation, you have to admit that you enjoyed spending time with him, and a small part of you wonders what could come of your newfound friendship.
The familiar sights and sounds of your neighborhood greet you as you approach your house, the comforting familiarity wrapping around you like a warm embrace. You take a moment to admire the flowers blooming in your front yard, their colors vibrant against the backdrop of the setting sun.
As you step inside, the scent of dinner wafts through the air, signaling that your parents are already home. You find them in the kitchen, chatting animatedly as they prepare the evening meal. You join them at the table, eager to share the events of your day.
"Hey, Mom, Dad," you greet them with a smile. "Guess what happened at school today?"
Your parents turn to you with interest, their eyes lighting up as you recount your encounter with Jungwon. You tell them about how you walked to class together, how you ended up sitting next to each other, and how you had a surprisingly enjoyable conversation.
Your parents listen intently, their smiles growing wider with each passing moment. But then, your dad chuckles and gives you a playful wink.
"Careful, sweetheart," he jokes, "don't let any boys distract you from your studies. You know, we don't want any boyfriends until you're at least thirty!"
You roll your eyes at your dad's teasing, but a laugh escapes your lips nonetheless. "Don't worry, Dad," you assure him, "I'm not planning on getting a boyfriend anytime soon."
Your parents share a knowing look, their smiles filled with affection. They can see the spark of excitement in your eyes, the hint of something new and promising on the horizon.
"Well, it sounds like you had a wonderful day," your mom says with a smile, reaching out to squeeze your hand. "Who knows, maybe this Jungwon will turn out to be a special friend."
-
You and Jungwon's bond deepens with each passing day, as you share lunches, late-night texts, and study sessions at the local library, stealing glances and smiles between equations. Movie nights at Jungwon's house become a regular occurrence, where you snuggle up on the couch with blankets and popcorn, discussing your favorite films and sharing laughs.
Together, you embark on adventures, exploring hidden spots in the city, trying new foods, and making memories that will last a lifetime. When you faces challenges with your floristry, Jungwon is there for you, offering encouragement and a shoulder to lean on.
Heart-to-heart conversations about hopes, dreams, and fears deepen the connection, while shared hobbies like photography and hiking bring you even closer.

As you and Jungwon spend the afternoon together at your house, watering your flowers and sharing laughter, you can't help but feel a sense of warmth and contentment wash over you. The sun filters through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the ground as you work side by side, tending to the garden you love so much. Suddenly, a thought crosses your mind as you watch Jungwon carefully water a delicate orchid.
"Hey, Jungwon," you say, a playful smile tugging at your lips, "did you know that your name means 'garden' in English?"
Jungwon looks up from his task, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Really? Well, in that case, I guess you must love me, huh?"
You can't help but laugh at his joke, the sound echoing through the garden like music. But then, in the midst of all the banter and laughter, Jungwon's expression turns serious, his gaze softening as he looks at you.
"Actually, YN," he says, his voice quiet but earnest, "there's something I've been wanting to tell you."
You pause, feeling a flutter of anticipation in your chest as you wait for him to continue. Jungwon takes a deep breath, his eyes never leaving yours.
"I think you're cute," he blurts out, his cheeks flushing slightly. "And I'm attracted to you, more than I've ever been to anyone else."
Your heart skips a beat at his words, a rush of emotions flooding through you. You can hardly believe what you're hearing, but the sincerity in Jungwon's eyes leaves no room for doubt.
Before you can respond, Jungwon reaches out and takes your hand in his, his touch sending a jolt of electricity through your veins. "I know this might be sudden, and I understand if you don't feel the same way," he says softly, "but I couldn't keep it to myself any longer. I just had to tell you how I feel."
For a moment, you're speechless, overwhelmed by the intensity of your emotions. But then, with a shaky breath, you meet Jungwon's gaze and offer him a shy smile.
"Jungwon," you say, your voice barely above a whisper, "I… I feel the same way."
A smile spreads across Jungwon's face, lighting up his eyes with joy and relief. Without another word, he leans in and presses his lips to yours.
Inside the house, your parents glance out the window and spot their daughter locked in a passionate embrace with Jungwon.
"Looks like our little YN has found herself a boyfriend," your mom remarks with a knowing smirk, nudging her husband with her elbow.
Her husband chuckles, shaking his head in amusement. "Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Let's just hope he knows how to water the flowers as well as he kisses our daughter."

Senior High
As a senior in high school, being in a relationship with Jungwon feels like a dream come true. Every day is filled with laughter, love, and shared adventures, and you couldn't be happier. Walking hand in hand through the halls, you feel a sense of pride knowing that he's yours and you're his.
Together, you navigate the ups and downs of senior year, supporting each other through exams, college applications, and the uncertainty of the future. Jungwon's unwavering encouragement and belief in you give you the strength to pursue your dreams, whether it's opening your own flower shop or exploring new passions.
But it's not just the big moments that make your relationship special. It's the little things, like stealing kisses between classes, passing notes in study hall, and sharing inside jokes that only you understand. Even on the toughest days, Jungwon's smile has a way of brightening your world and reminding you that everything will be okay.
As graduation day approaches, you can't help but feel a mixture of excitement and sadness. Excitement for the adventures that lie ahead and the memories you'll create together, but also sadness at the thought of leaving behind the familiar comforts of high school and stepping into the unknown.
But one thing is certain: no matter where life takes you, Jungwon and you will face it together, hand in hand, heart to heart. Your love is strong, your bond unbreakable, and you know that as long as you have each other, you can overcome anything that comes your way.
In the cozy sanctuary of your bedroom, soft lamplight casts a warm glow as you and Jungwon settle onto your bed, surrounded by an array of fluffy pillows and blankets. With a laptop balanced on your laps, you browse through a selection of movies, trying to decide on the perfect one for your movie night.
As the opening credits of your chosen film roll across the screen, you can't shake the nagging feeling that's been gnawing at you all evening. With a hesitant sigh, you turn to Jungwon, your expression serious.
"Jungwon, can I ask you something?" you begin, your voice tinged with uncertainty.
Jungwon turns to you, his brows furrowing slightly in concern. "Of course, what's on your mind?"
You hesitate for a moment, gathering your thoughts before speaking. "Well, with college just around the corner and everything… I've been thinking about us, you know?"
Jungwon's expression softens as he reaches out to gently squeeze your hand. "What about us, YN?"
"It's just… I've heard people say that high school sweethearts don't usually last once they go off to college," you admit, your voice barely above a whisper. "And I can't help but worry about what that means for us."
Jungwon's lips curl into a reassuring smile as he leans in to brush a kiss against your forehead. "Hey, relax," he says gently, his tone soothing. "We haven't even graduated yet, let alone started college. There's no need to worry about what might happen in the future."
Despite his attempt to lighten the mood, you can't shake the feeling of unease that lingers in the pit of your stomach. "But Jungwon, what if…?"
Before you can finish your sentence, Jungwon interrupts with a playful grin. "What if we end up ruling the world together? What if we discover a portal to a parallel universe? What if we become famous movie stars?"
You can't help but laugh at his antics, the tension in your chest easing slightly. "Okay, okay, I get it," you say, shaking your head in amusement. "You're right, we shouldn't worry about things that haven't even happened yet."
With a shared smile, you turn your attention back to the movie, content to lose yourselves in the world of cinema and each other's company. And as you snuggle close beneath the blankets, you find yourself feeling grateful for the love and reassurance that Jungwon brings into your life, knowing that no matter what the future holds, you'll face it together, hand in hand.
As you and Jungwon navigate the bustling aisles of the dress shop, the anticipation of graduation hangs heavy in the air. With each step, you can't help but feel a flutter of excitement mingled with a hint of nervousness. This moment marks the culmination of your high school journey, and finding the perfect dress feels like an important step in celebrating the occasion.
After browsing through racks of dresses, you finally settle on a few options and make your way to the dressing room. As you slip into the first dress and admire yourself in the mirror, you can't help but feel a rush of excitement. This could be the one.
With a deep breath, you step out of the dressing room, the fabric of the dress flowing gracefully around you. Jungwon's eyes widen in awe as he catches sight of you, his breath catching in his throat.
For a moment, time seems to stand still as Jungwon takes you in, his gaze tracing every curve and contour of your figure. In that instant, you can see the love and admiration shining in his eyes, so pure and unguarded that it takes your breath away.
"You… you look incredible," Jungwon stammers, his voice barely above a whisper. "Absolutely stunning."
A blush creeps up your cheeks at his words, a warm rush of emotion flooding through you. In that moment, you realize just how deeply Jungwon cares for you, his love shining brighter than ever before.
With a shy smile, you twirl in the dress, feeling the fabric swirl around you like a dream. And as you meet Jungwon's gaze once more, you know without a doubt that this is the dress you were meant to wear on graduation day.
As you step out in the stunning dress, Jungwon's reaction is priceless. His eyes widen, his jaw drops, and for a moment, he's utterly speechless. You can't help but giggle at his reaction, feeling a surge of confidence wash over you.
"Like what you see?" you tease, a mischievous twinkle in your eye as you twirl in the dress, enjoying the way it sways around you.
Jungwon snaps out of his trance, a playful grin spreading across his face. "You have no idea," he says, his voice filled with admiration. "You look absolutely breathtaking, YN."
You chuckle at his flattery, feeling a warmth spread through your chest at his words. But before you can say anything else, Jungwon steps forward and envelops you in a tight hug, his arms wrapping around you protectively.
"Hey, no need to tease," he says, his voice soft and sincere as he holds you close. "I mean every word. You're the most beautiful person I've ever seen, inside and out."
You melt into his embrace, feeling a rush of love and gratitude wash over you. In that moment, you're reminded of just how lucky you are to have Jungwon by your side, supporting you, loving you, and making you feel like the most special person in the world.
After buying the dress, you and Jungwon spend the rest of the day together, soaking up each other's company and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Whether it's strolling through the park, sharing ice cream cones, or simply enjoying each other's presence, every moment is filled with love and laughter.

As the evening wears on, you find yourselves lingering over dessert, reluctant to let the night end. With a smile, Jungwon suggests taking a leisurely stroll through the city under the stars, and you eagerly agree.

As you and Jungwon sit down to dinner with his family, the warm aroma of home-cooked food fills the air, creating a cozy atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. Around the table, Jungwon's family members chat and laugh, their voices mingling with the clink of silverware and the gentle hum of conversation.
As the meal progresses, Jungwon's parents turn their attention to you and Jungwon, their eyes filled with curiosity and warmth.
"So, YN, Jungwon," his mother begins, her tone gentle but inquisitive, "now that you're about to embark on your college journey, have you thought about what you want to study?"
You exchange a glance with Jungwon, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips as you consider the question. It's something you've thought about often in recent weeks, weighing your passions and interests against the possibilities that lie ahead.
"I've been thinking about studying botany," you reply, your voice steady with conviction. "I've always had a love for plants and flowers, and I think it would be amazing to learn more about them and maybe even pursue a career in floristry."
Jungwon's parents nod approvingly, their expressions filled with encouragement and support. "That sounds wonderful, YN," his father says with a smile. "It's clear that you have a passion for it, and we have no doubt that you'll excel in whatever you choose to pursue."
Turning to Jungwon, his parents pose the same question, their curiosity piqued.
Jungwon takes a moment to consider his answer, his brow furrowing slightly in thought. "I've always been drawn to storytelling," he begins, his voice thoughtful. "Whether it's through film, photography, or writing, there's something about the power of storytelling that fascinates me. I think I want to study film and pursue a career as a director."
His parents nod in understanding, their expressions filled with pride. "That's wonderful, Jungwon," his mother says, her voice filled with admiration. "We've always admired your creativity and passion for storytelling, and we have no doubt that you'll go far in whatever path you choose."
As the conversation continues, you and Jungwon share a smile, grateful for the love and support of his family. In that moment, surrounded by warmth and acceptance, you know that no matter what the future holds, as long as you have each other and the support of your loved ones, you'll be able to achieve anything you set your minds to.
As the time to apply for colleges approaches, you and Jungwon find yourselves facing a myriad of decisions and possibilities. Together, you sit down to discuss your options, weighing the pros and cons of applying to local universities versus pursuing opportunities abroad.
With a stack of college brochures spread out before you, you pore over the details, each option representing a different path forward. Local universities offer familiarity and the comfort of home, while studying abroad promises adventure and new experiences.
"It's a tough decision," Jungwon admits, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "On one hand, staying local means we can be close to our families and friends. But on the other hand, studying abroad could open up so many new opportunities for us."
You nod in agreement, understanding the weight of the decision that lies before you. "I know," you say softly, reaching out to squeeze Jungwon's hand in reassurance. "But no matter what we decide, we'll figure it out together."
After much deliberation and soul-searching, you and Jungwon finally come to a decision. You'll each apply to a mix of local and international universities, keeping your options open and embracing the possibilities that lie ahead.
As you fill out the applications and gather the necessary documents, you can't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation building within you. The world is full of possibilities, and no matter where your college journey takes you, you know that you'll face it together, hand in hand, heart to heart.
As the months pass and the application process comes to a close, you and Jungwon find yourselves facing another hurdle on the road to college: entrance exams. With determination and resolve, you throw yourselves into studying, pouring over textbooks, reviewing notes, and practicing sample questions late into the night.
On the day of the exams, nerves flutter in your stomach as you and Jungwon make your way to the testing center. The atmosphere is tense yet electrifying, as students from all walks of life gather together, each one hoping to secure their place at their dream university.
As you take your seats and the exams begin, time seems to blur together, hours melting away as you focus all of your energy and concentration on the task at hand. With each question, you feel a surge of adrenaline coursing through your veins, driving you forward even when doubts threaten to creep in.
Throughout it all, Jungwon is by your side, offering words of encouragement and support whenever you need it most. His presence is a source of strength and reassurance, grounding you in the midst of the chaos and uncertainty.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity, the exams come to an end, leaving you and Jungwon exhausted yet exhilarated. As you step out of the testing center and into the fresh air, a sense of relief washes over you, mingled with a hint of anxiety as you await the results.
In the weeks that follow, you and Jungwon anxiously await news of your exam scores, each passing day feeling like an eternity. But no matter what the outcome, you know that you've given it your all, and that together, you'll face whatever the future holds with courage and determination.
As the days pass and anticipation builds, you and Jungwon find yourselves eagerly checking your mailboxes and email inboxes, hoping for news of your college acceptances. Each day brings a mix of excitement and anxiety, as you wait for the letters and emails that will determine the next chapter of your lives.
Finally, one afternoon, the long-awaited news arrives. With trembling hands, you and Jungwon tear open the envelopes and click on the emails, hearts pounding in your chests as you read the words that will shape your futures.
At first, the news is promising. You've both been accepted to several prestigious universities, each one offering its own unique opportunities and experiences. For a moment, you allow yourselves to bask in the glow of success, celebrating the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.
But as you delve deeper into the details, a sinking feeling begins to settle in the pit of your stomachs. Despite applying to many of the same colleges, none of your acceptances align. Each of you has received offers from different universities, each one pulling you in a different direction.
For a moment, the realization hangs heavy in the air, casting a shadow over the excitement of the moment. You exchange a glance with Jungwon, a silent understanding passing between you as you come to terms with the fact that your college paths may be diverging.
But even as disappointment threatens to cloud your thoughts, you know that this is just another chapter in your journey together. No matter where life takes you, you'll face it together, supporting each other every step of the way.
As the reality of their diverging college paths sinks in, YN and Jungwon find themselves sitting together in Jungwon's room, the weight of the situation hanging heavy in the air. There's a palpable tension between them, a sense of uncertainty that neither knows quite how to navigate.
Taking a deep breath, YN breaks the silence that stretches between them. "Jungwon, we need to talk about this," she says softly, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness.
Jungwon nods in agreement, his expression mirroring her own. "I know," he replies, his voice equally subdued. "It's just… it's not what we expected, is it?"
Shaking her head, YN reaches out to take Jungwon's hand in hers, seeking comfort in his touch. "No, it's not," she admits, her voice trembling slightly. "But that doesn't mean we can't figure it out together."
Jungwon squeezes YN's hand gently, his gaze meeting hers with unwavering determination. "You're right," he says, his voice filled with conviction. "No matter where we go, we'll always be there for each other."
For a moment, they sit in silence, lost in their own thoughts as they grapple with the uncertainty of the future. But even amidst the uncertainty, there's a sense of reassurance in knowing that they have each other.
"I just wish…" YN begins, her voice trailing off as she struggles to find the right words.
Jungwon nods in understanding, knowing exactly what she means. "I wish things were different too," he admits, his voice tinged with regret. "But maybe this is just another chapter in our story – one that will make us stronger in the end."
As they sit together, hand in hand, they find solace in each other's presence, knowing that no matter what challenges lie ahead, as long as they have each other, they'll always find a way forward. And as they look to the future with hope and determination, they know that their love will carry them through whatever comes their way.
-
As the summer stretches out before them, YN and Jungwon find solace in the simple pleasures of spending time together, cherishing each moment as if it were their last before embarking on their separate college journeys.
They fill their days with laughter and adventure, exploring their favorite spots in the city and discovering new ones along the way. From picnics in the park to lazy afternoons at the beach, every moment is savored, every memory etched into their hearts.
Together, they revisit old haunts and reminisce about the moments that have shaped their relationship – the highs and lows, the laughter and tears, the love that has grown between them. And as they look to the future with uncertainty, they take comfort in the knowledge that no matter what lies ahead, their bond will remain unbreakable.
But amidst the laughter and joy, there are moments of sadness too – moments when the reality of their impending separation hits them with a force they can't ignore. In those moments, they cling to each other, finding strength and solace in the warmth of their embrace.
As the summer draws to a close and the time to choose their colleges approaches, YN and Jungwon find themselves faced with a decision that will shape the course of their lives. But no matter what the future holds, they know that the love they share will endure, guiding them through whatever challenges lie ahead.

Seeking solace and guidance, YN turns to her father, knowing that his wisdom and insight will help her navigate the difficult decision ahead. Sitting together in the comfort of their living room, she pours out her heart, sharing her fears and uncertainties about choosing between her dream school and being close to Jungwon.
Her father listens attentively, his expression thoughtful as he considers her dilemma. "YN," he begins, his voice gentle yet firm, "ultimately, the decision is yours to make. But remember, sometimes the right choice isn't always the easiest one."
His words resonate with YN, stirring something deep within her. She knows that her father is right – sometimes, the path to greatness requires sacrifices and difficult choices. But she can't shake the feeling of uncertainty that gnaws at her from within.
Turning to her siblings for advice, YN seeks their perspective on the matter. They offer differing opinions – some believe she should follow her dreams and choose her dream school, while others argue that she shouldn't sacrifice her aspirations for the sake of her relationship with Jungwon.
Feeling torn and conflicted, YN turns to her mother, hoping that her calming presence will help her find clarity amidst the chaos. Her mother listens with an open heart, offering words of comfort and encouragement.
"Listen to your heart, YN," her mother advises, her voice soft yet steady. "You know yourself better than anyone else. Trust your instincts and follow the path that feels right for you."
YN takes her mother's words to heart, realizing that the answer has been within her all along. With renewed clarity and determination, she sets out to make her decision, knowing that no matter what she chooses, as long as she follows her heart, she'll find her way. And with the unwavering support of her family and loved ones, she knows that she'll never be alone on this journey.
Jungwon finds himself torn between his passion for filmmaking and his desire to be with YN. Seeking counsel from his parents and sister, he grapples with the weight of their advice.
His mother's words echo in his mind – the prestigious film program beckoning him with promises of unparalleled opportunities and growth. Yet, the thought of being separated from YN gnaws at his heart, filling him with a sense of longing and uncertainty.
As he turns to his father for guidance, he finds reassurance in his words of wisdom. "Son," his father says, his voice steady and reassuring, "love is a powerful force. If you believe that YN is the one for you, then trust in that love and let it guide you."
His father's words strike a chord within Jungwon, reminding him of the depth of his feelings for YN and the strength of their bond. Yet, doubts linger in the back of his mind, overshadowing his convictions.
Turning to his older sister for advice, Jungwon finds validation in her perspective. "Follow your dreams, Jungwon," she says, her voice filled with conviction. "You've worked hard to get where you are, and you deserve to pursue your passion. YN will understand – true love knows no distance."
Her words resonate with Jungwon, filling him with a sense of resolve. Despite the challenges that lie ahead, he knows that he must follow his heart and chase his dreams, trusting that YN will be there by his side, no matter the distance.
With a newfound sense of clarity and determination, Jungwon sets out to make his decision, knowing that whatever path he chooses, as long as he follows his heart, he'll find his way. And with the unwavering support of his family and loved ones, he knows that he'll never be alone on this journey.
-
As YN and Jungwon meet in their favorite spot by the river, the air crackles with tension, each of them holding onto their decision like a precious secret. Sitting side by side, they exchange nervous glances, the weight of their choices heavy in the air between them.
Finally, summoning the courage to break the silence, YN takes a deep breath and speaks. "Jungwon, I've made my decision," she says, her voice steady despite the butterflies fluttering in her stomach. "I've chosen to attend one of the colleges that's closer to you, so we can be together."
Jungwon's heart skips a beat at YN's words, a surge of conflicting emotions washing over him. On one hand, he's filled with gratitude and love for YN, touched by her willingness to make sacrifices for their relationship. But on the other hand, he can't shake the nagging feeling of guilt, knowing that his decision may pull them apart.
Taking a moment to compose himself, Jungwon meets YN's gaze with a mixture of admiration and regret. "YN, I…" he begins, his voice catching in his throat as he struggles to find the right words. "I've also made my decision. I've chosen to attend my dream school – the one with the renowned film program."
The words hang heavy in the air between them, the silence stretching out as they grapple with the reality of their choices. For a moment, YN feels a pang of disappointment, a flicker of sadness clouding her expression. But then, she meets Jungwon's gaze with unwavering determination.
"I understand," she says softly, her voice filled with acceptance. "We both have dreams to chase, and I wouldn't want to hold you back from yours."
Jungwon's heart swells with gratitude and admiration for YN, overwhelmed by her selflessness and understanding. "Thank you, YN," he says, his voice choked with emotion. "I promise, no matter where life takes us, I'll always be there for you."
With tears glistening in their eyes, they share a bittersweet smile, knowing that while their paths may diverge for now, their love will remain as strong as ever. And as they sit together, hand in hand, watching the river flow gently by, they take comfort in the knowledge that no matter what challenges lie ahead, as long as they have each other, they'll always find their way.
As YN returns home, a whirlwind of emotions swirls within her, threatening to consume her from within. With each step, she feels the weight of her decision pressing down on her shoulders, the burden of sacrifice heavy in her heart.
Locking the door to her bedroom behind her, YN collapses onto her bed, the floodgates of emotion finally breaking open. Tears stream down her cheeks as she allows herself to surrender to the overwhelming wave of sadness and grief.
In the solitude of her room, YN lets out all the pent-up emotions she's been holding back, the tears flowing freely as she releases the pain and uncertainty that has been gnawing at her from within. Each sob is a cathartic release, a cleansing of the soul as she confronts the reality of her choices.
Hours pass as YN allows herself to grieve, the weight of her decision slowly lifting from her shoulders with each tear shed. And as the night wears on and the tears begin to dry, a sense of clarity begins to settle over her like a comforting blanket.
Wiping away the last of her tears, YN sits up straight, her resolve renewed and her heart lighter than it has been in days. With newfound determination, she reaches for her laptop and begins to draft an email to her dream school, accepting their offer of admission.
Though the road ahead may be filled with challenges and uncertainty, YN knows that she's making the right decision – the decision that aligns with her true passions and aspirations. And as she hits send on the email, a sense of peace washes over her, knowing that she's taking the first step towards a future filled with promise and possibility.

As YN begins to pack up her belongings, the reality of her impending move weighs heavily on her heart. With each item she carefully tucks away into boxes, she can't shake the feeling of sadness that threatens to overwhelm her.
As she sorts through her belongings, memories flood her mind – mementos of her time with Jungwon, reminders of the love they shared. A photograph of the two of them laughing together on a sunny day, a ticket stub from their first movie date, a pressed flower from their favorite park – each item a bittersweet reminder of what they're leaving behind.
But amidst the sadness, there's a sense of excitement too – the promise of new beginnings and adventures waiting just around the corner. YN clings to this sense of hope as she continues to pack, channeling her energy into preparing for the journey ahead.
Meanwhile, Jungwon finds himself faced with a similar task as he begins to pack up his belongings for his move abroad. Though the prospect of studying at his dream school fills him with anticipation and excitement, there's a pang of sadness in his heart as he realizes that he'll be leaving behind the life he's built with YN.
As he sifts through his belongings, he can't help but feel a sense of nostalgia for the memories they've shared – late-night study sessions, lazy weekends spent exploring the city, quiet moments of togetherness that he'll cherish forever.
But even as he packs up his belongings, Jungwon knows that this is just another chapter in their journey together. Though they may be separated by miles and oceans, their love will remain as strong as ever, guiding them through whatever challenges lie ahead.
And as YN and Jungwon stand on the brink of their respective moves, boxes packed and ready to go, they find solace in the knowledge that no matter where life takes them, as long as they have each other, they'll always find their way home.
A week later, YN and Jungwon find themselves standing face to face once again, their hearts heavy with the weight of impending separation. Though they had hoped to savor every moment together before their moves, the reality of their impending departures hangs over them like a shadow.
As they meet in their favorite spot by the river, the air is tinged with a bittersweet sense of nostalgia. Memories flood their minds – the laughter, the tears, the countless moments they've shared together – and for a moment, time seems to stand still.
"I can't believe it's only a month until you leave," YN says softly, her voice tinged with sadness. "It feels like time is slipping away too fast."
Jungwon nods in agreement, his expression mirroring YN's own. "I know," he says, his voice filled with regret. "I wish we could freeze this moment and stay here forever."
For a moment, they stand in silence, lost in their own thoughts as they grapple with the reality of their impending separation. But even amidst the sadness, there's a sense of determination in their hearts – a determination to make the most of the time they have left together.
As they walk along the riverbank, hand in hand, they savor every moment, committing each detail to memory – the sound of the water rushing past, the warmth of the sun on their skin, the gentle breeze ruffling their hair.
And as the sun begins to set on the horizon, casting a golden glow over the landscape, they find solace in each other's embrace, knowing that no matter where life takes them, their love will remain as strong as ever.
With a shared smile and a silent promise to cherish every moment they have left together, YN and Jungwon watch the sunset, knowing that even as they part ways, their hearts will always be intertwined, bound together by an unbreakable bond that transcends time and distance.
-
YN and Jungwon decide to spend a day at their favorite park, seeking solace in the familiar surroundings and the simple pleasures of nature. They stroll hand in hand along the winding paths, the rustling of leaves and the chirping of birds filling the air around them. Finding a secluded spot beneath a towering oak tree, they spread out a picnic blanket and unpack a basket filled with their favorite snacks. As they lounge in the dappled sunlight, they share stories and laughter, basking in the warmth of each other's company.
-
On a warm summer evening, YN and Jungwon decide to take a leisurely bike ride through the city streets, the soft glow of streetlights casting a romantic ambiance over the bustling cityscape. They pedal side by side, the cool night air brushing against their skin as they weave through the maze of streets and alleyways. With each turn, they discover hidden gems – quaint cafes, vibrant street art, and secret gardens tucked away from the hustle and bustle of city life. And as they pedal into the night, their laughter echoing through the streets, they feel a sense of freedom and exhilaration that comes from exploring the world together.
-
In the comfort of YN's living room, YN and Jungwon spend a cozy evening curled up together on the couch, surrounded by stacks of their favorite movies and snacks. They take turns selecting films, ranging from classic romances to action-packed thrillers, losing themselves in the captivating stories unfolding on screen. Between movies, they share whispered conversations and stolen kisses, their laughter filling the room with warmth and affection. And as the night wears on and the credits roll on the final film, they find themselves reluctant to part ways, cherishing every precious moment they have together.
-
As they stand together at the airport, YN and Jungwon find themselves enveloped in a whirlwind of emotions – sadness, excitement, and a profound sense of longing. With their fingers intertwined and their hearts heavy with the weight of impending separation, they cling to each other as if they never want to let go.
The bustling terminal fades into the background as they share a quiet moment, their gaze locked together in a silent exchange of love and understanding. Words seem inadequate in the face of such intense emotions, so they simply stand together in silence, finding solace in the warmth of each other's embrace.
As the final boarding call echoes through the terminal, reality comes crashing back down around them, pulling them from their private reverie. With a heavy heart, YN looks up at Jungwon, her eyes brimming with unshed tears.
"I'm going to miss you so much," she whispers, her voice barely audible above the din of the crowd.
Jungwon pulls her into a tight embrace, holding her close as if trying to imprint the feel of her against him into his memory. "I'll miss you too, more than words can say," he murmurs, his voice choked with emotion.
They stand together for a moment longer, clinging to each other as if their lives depend on it. But eventually, the inevitable moment arrives – the moment when they must say goodbye.
With a final, lingering kiss, Jungwon releases YN from his embrace, stepping back with a heavy heart. He watches as she fades into the crowd, a solitary figure lost in a sea of faces, until she's nothing more than a distant memory.
As he turns to make his way to the gate, Jungwon carries YN's love with him, a beacon of hope and strength to guide him on his journey. And though they may be separated by miles and oceans, their love will remain as constant as the stars, shining brightly in the darkness, lighting the way back to each other's arms.
As Jungwon walks towards the gate, his heart heavy with the weight of leaving YN behind, he can't help but replay their final moments together in his mind. The image of her tear-streaked face and the echo of her whispered words linger in his thoughts, a constant reminder of the love they share.
Taking a deep breath, Jungwon pushes aside the wave of sadness threatening to engulf him, focusing instead on the excitement of the journey ahead. He knows that he's embarking on a new chapter of his life – one filled with endless possibilities and opportunities for growth.
As he boards the plane and settles into his seat, Jungwon's mind drifts back to YN, his heart aching with longing. But even amidst the sadness of their parting, he finds solace in the knowledge that their love knows no bounds – transcending time and distance, it will keep them connected no matter where life takes them.
And as the plane takes off, carrying him away from YN and towards his future, Jungwon holds onto the promise of their love, knowing that no matter what challenges lie ahead, as long as they have each other, they'll always find their way back together.
Throughout the flight, Jungwon's thoughts remain consumed by memories of YN and the life they've shared together. He finds himself flipping through photos on his phone, each image a poignant reminder of their love and the moments they've shared.
As the hours pass and the plane makes its way across the sky, Jungwon finds himself lost in a whirlwind of emotions – sadness, longing, and a deep-seated sense of uncertainty about what the future holds. But amidst the turbulence of his thoughts, there's a glimmer of hope – the knowledge that no matter where life takes him, YN will always be with him in spirit.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity, the plane touches down on foreign soil, signaling the beginning of a new chapter in Jungwon's life. Stepping off the plane, he takes a deep breath, steeling himself for the challenges that lie ahead.
As he makes his way through the bustling airport, Jungwon feels a sense of excitement building within him – the thrill of adventure and the promise of new beginnings beckoning him forward. And though he knows that the road ahead will be fraught with obstacles, he takes comfort in the knowledge that YN's love will light his way, guiding him through the darkest of times.
With a renewed sense of determination and purpose, Jungwon sets out to embrace the opportunities that await him in this new chapter of his life, knowing that no matter where his journey takes him, as long as he carries YN's love in his heart, he'll always find his way home.
As YN watches Jungwon's plane disappear into the sky, a profound sense of emptiness washes over her, leaving her feeling adrift in a sea of uncertainty. The bustling airport fades into the background as she stands alone amidst the throng of travelers, her heart heavy with the weight of his absence.
With a heavy sigh, YN gathers her belongings and makes her way out of the airport, the world around her a blur of motion and noise. Tears threaten to spill from her eyes as she navigates the familiar streets of her city, each step a painful reminder of the void Jungwon has left behind.
As she arrives home, YN finds herself surrounded by memories of their time together – the photographs adorning the walls, the trinkets and souvenirs they've collected over the years, the empty space beside her in bed where Jungwon used to lay. The realization that he's truly gone hits her like a punch to the gut, leaving her feeling raw and vulnerable.
But amidst the pain of their parting, YN finds solace in the knowledge that their love will endure, transcending time and distance. She takes comfort in the memories they've shared and the promise of a future filled with possibility.
With a heavy heart and tear-stained cheeks, YN resolves to carry on, knowing that Jungwon's love will be her guiding light through the darkest of times. And as she looks to the future with hope and determination, she knows that no matter where life takes them, as long as they hold onto each other in their hearts, they'll always find their way back to one another.
In the days that follow Jungwon's departure, YN finds herself navigating a world that feels strangely empty without him by her side. The once-familiar routines of their shared life now seem foreign and unfamiliar, each passing moment a painful reminder of his absence.
Despite the ache in her heart, YN throws herself into her studies and her passion for botany, finding solace in the simple pleasures of caring for her plants and nurturing new life. With each bloom that unfurls under her tender care, she feels a sense of renewal and hope – a reminder that even in the darkest of times, beauty can still thrive.
But no matter how busy she keeps herself, YN can't shake the feeling of longing that lingers in the pit of her stomach, a constant reminder of the love she's left behind. She finds herself reaching for her phone instinctively, only to remember that the messages and calls she once took for granted now feel like distant echoes of a past life.
As the days turn into weeks and the weeks into months, YN finds herself counting down the days until she'll see Jungwon again, her heart filled with anticipation and longing. And though the road ahead may be fraught with challenges and obstacles, she takes comfort in the knowledge that their love will see them through, guiding them back into each other's arms once more.

With a clear sense of purpose and direction, she sets her sights on a future where she can make a meaningful impact on the world around her, one plant at a time.
Meanwhile, Jungwon finds himself immersed in the world of filmmaking at his dream school abroad, surrounded by some of the brightest minds in the industry. From the moment he sets foot on campus, he feels a sense of belonging, a certainty that he's exactly where he's meant to be.

Though their paths may be divergent and their lives filled with their own unique challenges and triumphs, YN and Jungwon find strength in the knowledge that they're each pursuing their dreams with unwavering passion and determination. And as they continue to grow and evolve, they carry with them the love and support of each other, a constant source of inspiration and encouragement on their journey towards success.
One night, as the city lights glitter outside YN's window and the stars twinkle in the sky above Jungwon's new apartment abroad, they find themselves drawn to each other once more, their hearts yearning for the familiar comfort of each other's presence.
With a soft chime, YN's phone lights up with a notification – a Facetime call from Jungwon. Her heart skips a beat as she accepts the call, a rush of warmth flooding her chest as his familiar face fills the screen.
"Hey," Jungwon says, his voice filled with warmth and affection. "I just wanted to see your face."
A smile spreads across YN's lips as she takes in the sight of him, his tousled hair and tired eyes a testament to the late hour. "I've missed you," she admits softly, her voice tinged with longing.
Jungwon's gaze softens, a look of tenderness in his eyes as he reaches out towards the screen as if to touch her. "I've missed you too, more than words can say," he murmurs.
For a moment, they simply gaze at each other in silence, the distance between them melting away as they lose themselves in the connection they share. Despite the miles that separate them, they find solace in the knowledge that they're still bound together by the unbreakable bond of love.
As they talk into the night, sharing stories and laughter, they find themselves transported back to a time when they were inseparable, when the world seemed to revolve around their love for each other. And though they may be far apart, their hearts beat as one, their love transcending time and distance to bring them closer together once more.
As the call comes to an end and they bid each other goodnight, YN and Jungwon are filled with a renewed sense of hope and determination. Though their lives may be filled with uncertainty and change, they know that as long as they have each other, they'll always find a way to overcome whatever obstacles come their way.
In their academic and career pursuits, YN and Jungwon continue to excel, each making significant strides towards their goals while facing their own unique challenges along the way.
YN immerses herself in her studies, delving deeper into the world of botany and environmental science. She spends long hours in the lab, conducting experiments and research that push the boundaries of her field. Her dedication and passion earn her recognition among her peers and mentors, opening doors to new opportunities and collaborations.
Outside of the classroom, YN takes on internships and volunteer positions that allow her to apply her knowledge in real-world settings. Whether it's working in botanical gardens, conducting field research in remote locations, or advocating for environmental causes, she throws herself into every opportunity with enthusiasm and determination.
As she nears graduation, YN finds herself faced with a myriad of possibilities for her future. With her passion for botany and her dedication to environmental conservation, she knows that she has the power to make a positive impact on the world around her, no matter where her career takes her.
Meanwhile, Jungwon continues to hone his craft in the world of filmmaking, immersing himself in every aspect of the industry. From screenwriting and cinematography to directing and editing, he throws himself into every project with creativity and passion, constantly pushing himself to new heights of artistic expression.
Throughout his college experience, Jungwon seeks out opportunities to collaborate with fellow students and industry professionals, building a network of contacts and mentors that will serve him well in his future career. He takes on internships and apprenticeships that allow him to gain hands-on experience on film sets, learning from the best in the business and honing his skills as a filmmaker.
In the first two years of their college experiences, YN and Jungwon manage to maintain a strong and consistent level of communication despite the distance between them. They make time for regular Facetime calls, text messages, and emails, eagerly sharing updates about their lives, their academic achievements, and their career aspirations. Despite the challenges of being apart, their love remains a constant presence in their lives, providing them with strength and support as they navigate the ups and downs of college life.
However, as they enter their third year and approach the final stretch of their college careers, the demands of their academic and professional lives begin to take precedence. With looming deadlines, internships, and job applications to contend with, they find themselves increasingly strapped for time and energy. As a result, their communication begins to falter, with days or even weeks passing between messages.
At first, they reassure themselves that it's just a temporary hiccup – a byproduct of the hectic pace of college life. But as time goes on and their communication continues to dwindle, they can't help but feel a growing sense of unease and distance between them. What was once a source of comfort and joy now feels like a burden, a reminder of the growing divide between their lives.
Despite their best efforts to stay connected, YN and Jungwon find themselves drifting apart, their once vibrant conversations giving way to awkward silences and strained exchanges. They struggle to find common ground amidst the chaos of their busy lives, their priorities shifting as they focus on their own individual goals and aspirations.
As they enter their fourth year of college, the silence between them becomes deafening, each unanswered message and missed call a painful reminder of the growing distance between them. They wonder if their love can withstand the test of time and distance, or if they're destined to drift further and further apart until they're nothing more than distant memories of a love that once was.
Despite the challenges they face, YN and Jungwon cling to the hope that their love will endure, that the bond they share is strong enough to withstand whatever obstacles come their way. And as they navigate the uncertain road ahead, they hold onto the belief that no matter where life takes them, as long as they have each other in their hearts, they'll always find a way back to one another.
As graduation approaches, Jungwon finds himself faced with a world of possibilities for his future. With his talent and dedication, he knows that he has the potential to make a name for himself in the fiercely competitive world of filmmaking, to tell stories that inspire and move audiences around the world.
As the distance between them grows and their communication dwindles, Jungwon finds himself grappling with conflicting emotions about his relationship with YN. What was once a source of comfort and joy now feels like a burden, a constant reminder of the growing divide between their lives. He can't help but wonder if their love is strong enough to withstand the challenges they face, or if they're simply clinging to a fading connection out of fear of letting go.
With each unanswered message and missed call, Jungwon feels a growing sense of frustration and resentment building within him. He struggles to reconcile the image of the vibrant, passionate love they once shared with the reality of their current situation – one marked by distance, uncertainty, and a lack of communication.
As he reflects on his own hopes and aspirations for the future, Jungwon finds himself questioning whether YN still fits into the life he envisions for himself. He wonders if their relationship is holding him back from pursuing his dreams, or if it's simply a casualty of the inevitable changes that come with growing up and moving on.
Despite his doubts and fears, Jungwon can't shake the lingering feelings of love and affection he still harbors for YN. He knows that walking away from their relationship would mean letting go of a part of himself – a part that he's not sure he's ready to give up just yet.
Caught between his desire for independence and his longing for connection, Jungwon finds himself at a crossroads, unsure of which path to take. As he weighs his options and contemplates the future, he knows that whatever decision he makes will have far-reaching consequences for both himself and YN. And as he grapples with the uncertainty of what lies ahead, he can only hope that he'll find the clarity and courage to follow his heart, whatever the cost.
As the silence between them stretches on, YN finds herself consumed by worry and doubt, her mind plagued by thoughts of Jungwon and the possibility that he may have found someone else. Each unanswered message and missed call only adds fuel to her fears, leaving her feeling increasingly isolated and alone.
Unable to shake the nagging sense of unease that gnaws at her insides, YN finds herself endlessly scrolling through social media feeds and online profiles, searching for any sign of Jungwon's whereabouts or activities. With each new photo or status update, she feels a pang of jealousy and insecurity, wondering if he's moved on without her.
As the days turn into weeks and the weeks into months, YN's anxiety reaches a fever pitch, her imagination running wild with worst-case scenarios. She tortures herself with thoughts of Jungwon with someone new – laughing, smiling, and sharing intimate moments that were once reserved for her alone.
Despite her efforts to push aside her fears and focus on her own life, YN finds herself consumed by thoughts of Jungwon and the life they once shared together. She wonders if she'll ever be able to move on from him, or if she'll spend the rest of her days haunted by the ghost of their failed relationship.
As she struggles to come to terms with the possibility of losing Jungwon forever, YN finds herself torn between holding onto hope and letting go of the past. She knows that she can't control his actions or his feelings, but she can't help but cling to the faint glimmer of possibility that maybe, just maybe, their love is strong enough to withstand the trials they face.
With a heavy heart and a soul weighed down by uncertainty, YN braces herself for whatever the future may hold, knowing that no matter what happens, she'll always carry a piece of Jungwon with her – a reminder of the love they once shared and the bond that still lingers between them, even in the darkest of times.
As YN sits alone in her room, tears streaming down her cheeks, she feels a heavy weight pressing down on her chest, suffocating her with the weight of her worries and fears. Lost in her own thoughts, she doesn't hear the soft knock on her door or the creak of the hinges as it swings open.
"Hey, sis, are you okay?" YN's brother's voice breaks through the haze of her despair, his concern evident in the furrow of his brow and the gentle tone of his voice.
Startled, YN looks up to find her brother standing in the doorway, his eyes filled with worry and compassion. Despite her efforts to hide her tears, she knows that he can see right through her façade, that he knows she's been struggling with something for weeks now.
"I'm fine," YN mumbles, her voice barely above a whisper as she tries to wipe away her tears. But her brother isn't fooled by her feeble attempt at reassurance, his gaze softening as he steps further into the room.
"Sis, I know something's been bothering you lately," he says gently, his voice filled with empathy. "You haven't been yourself, and I'm worried about you."
With a heavy sigh, YN collapses onto her bed, her emotions spilling out in a rush of tears and choked sobs. Unable to hold back any longer, she pours her heart out to her brother, telling him about her fears and insecurities, her worries about Jungwon and the possibility that he may have moved on without her.
As she speaks, YN's brother listens intently, offering words of comfort and understanding that soothe the ache in her heart. He assures her that her feelings are valid, that it's okay to be scared and uncertain about the future. And most importantly, he reminds her that she's not alone – that no matter what happens, he'll always be there for her, ready to offer support and guidance whenever she needs it.
With her brother's words echoing in her ears, YN feels a sense of relief wash over her, a weight lifted from her shoulders. Though her worries may still linger, she knows that she doesn't have to face them alone – that as long as she has her family by her side, she'll always find the strength to overcome whatever obstacles come her way. And with a newfound sense of determination and hope, she wipes away her tears and resolves to face the future head-on, knowing that no matter what challenges lie ahead, she'll always have her brother's unwavering support to see her through.
As YN's brother listens to her pouring out her heart, he feels a pang of sadness knowing the depth of her pain. He reaches out and pulls her into a warm embrace, holding her close as she cries out her frustrations and fears.
"I'm so sorry you're going through this, sis," he says softly, his voice filled with empathy. "But I want you to know that you're not alone. Whatever happens, I'll always be here for you."
YN clings to her brother, finding solace in his comforting presence. For the first time in weeks, she feels a glimmer of hope flicker to life within her, a tiny spark of light in the darkness of her despair.
"Thank you," she whispers, her voice choked with emotion. "I don't know what I'd do without you."
Her brother smiles gently, brushing away her tears with a tender touch. "You don't have to do anything alone," he says reassuringly. "We're family, and we'll get through this together."
With her brother's words ringing in her ears, YN feels a renewed sense of strength and resolve wash over her. Though the road ahead may be difficult and filled with uncertainty, she knows that she doesn't have to face it alone – that as long as she has her family by her side, she'll always find the courage to keep moving forward, no matter what challenges lie ahead.
As they sit together in the quiet of her room, YN and her brother find comfort in each other's presence, knowing that no matter what the future may hold, they'll face it together, one step at a time. And with a renewed sense of hope in her heart, YN wipes away her tears and resolves to take each day as it comes, knowing that with her brother by her side, she can overcome anything that comes her way.
As Jungwon throws himself into his studies and filmmaking pursuits, he finds solace in the familiar rhythm of his daily routine. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth, and he throws himself into his work with a renewed sense of determination and focus.
On set, Jungwon immerses himself in the world of filmmaking, his passion and creativity fueling his drive to succeed. He pours over scripts, storyboard ideas, and hones his directing skills, pushing himself to new heights of artistic expression with each project he undertakes. Despite the pressures and demands of his studies, he finds a sense of fulfillment in bringing his vision to life on screen, knowing that he's pursuing his dreams with unwavering dedication and passion.
In the classroom, Jungwon embraces the opportunity to learn from some of the brightest minds in the industry, soaking up knowledge and honing his craft with each lecture and seminar. He dives into film theory and criticism, dissecting the works of master directors and studying the intricacies of storytelling and visual language. With each passing day, he feels himself growing as an artist and a filmmaker, his skills sharpening and his confidence soaring as he inches closer to his goals.
But despite his outward success and determination, Jungwon can't shake the nagging sense of emptiness that gnaws at his insides. As he throws himself into his work, he finds himself haunted by thoughts of YN and the love they once shared. He wonders if he made the right decision in distancing himself from her, or if he's simply avoiding the pain of confronting his true feelings.
With each passing day, Jungwon finds himself retreating further into himself, his focus on his work serving as a distraction from the turmoil of his emotions. He throws himself into his studies and filmmaking pursuits with a single-minded intensity, hoping that if he can just keep himself busy enough, he'll be able to push aside the ache in his heart and move on with his life.
But deep down, Jungwon knows that no amount of work or distraction can erase the love he still feels for YN. And as he wrestles with his inner demons, he can't help but wonder if he'll ever find peace and closure, or if he'll spend the rest of his days haunted by the ghost of their failed relationship.
As YN and Jungwon find themselves on a rare break from their busy schedules, they seize the opportunity to connect over Facetime, their faces illuminated by the soft glow of their screens. For a moment, they simply gaze at each other, the weight of unspoken words hanging heavy in the air between them.
Then, with a deep breath, YN gathers her courage and breaks the silence. "Jungwon," she begins, her voice trembling slightly with emotion. "I need to ask you something."
Jungwon's brow furrows in concern as he senses the seriousness in YN's tone. "Of course, YN. What is it?" he replies, his own heart racing with anticipation.
Taking a moment to steady herself, YN plunges ahead, her words tumbling out in a rush. "What are we, Jungwon? Are we still in a relationship, or… or have we moved on? I need to know where we stand."
There's a beat of silence as Jungwon absorbs YN's words, his heart clenching with a mixture of emotions. He knows that this moment has been a long time coming, that they can't continue to dance around the truth forever. With a heavy sigh, he meets YN's gaze, his eyes filled with a mix of regret and determination.
"YN, I…" he begins, his voice trailing off as he searches for the right words. "I don't know, YN. I've been trying to figure that out myself. It's been hard, being apart from you and trying to focus on my studies and my career."
YN's heart sinks at Jungwon's words, the reality of their situation hitting her like a ton of bricks. She had hoped for clarity, for reassurance that their love was still alive and worth fighting for. But instead, she's met with uncertainty and doubt.
"I understand," she murmurs, her voice barely above a whisper. "It's just… it's been hard for me too, Jungwon. I miss you, and I want to believe that we can still make this work. But I need to know if you're still in this with me."
Jungwon's heart aches at the pain in YN's voice, the knowledge that he's the cause of her suffering weighing heavily on his conscience. He knows that he owes her honesty, that he can't continue to string her along with false hope.
"I'm sorry, YN," he says softly, his voice thick with emotion. "I don't have the answers right now. But I promise you, I'll do whatever it takes to figure this out. I won't let you down again."
With a heavy heart, YN nods in understanding, the weight of their conversation hanging heavy in the air between them. Though they may not have all the answers now, they know that they can't continue to ignore the truth forever. And as they face the uncertainty of their future together, they cling to the hope that their love will see them through, no matter what challenges lie ahead.

"I think you're overthinking it" Jake says as he and the rest of the members are walking towards the dance studio. "But she plays it all the time when I get home" voicing out his thoughts one more time to let them understand his point of view. "Maybe she just likes the song? ever thought of that?" Jay opens the door while chuckling at how Heeseung's brain works and making him think you singing Ariana's song over and over again mean that you wanna break up with him.
After practice, he finds himself back at your house. He makes his way in with the spare key that you gave him. Walking towards your room, he can already here the 'Eternal Sunshine' album blasting through your speakers.
Heeseung hesitated outside the bedroom door, the faint strains of music seeping through the cracks. With a soft knock, he pushed the door open, stepping into a room filled with the melody of 'bye'. you were on your bed, eyes closed, lost in the emotion of the music, your voice carrying the weight of the lyrics.
For a week now, he had watched you immerse yourself in this routine, playlist looping the same heart-wrenching tunes. "YN," he called softly, breaking through your reverie. You turned to him, surprise flickering in your eyes before you quickly masked it with a smile.
"Heeseung! I didn't hear you come in," you said. Heeseung approached her slowly, his poor heart heavy with worry. "YN, can we talk?" he asked, his voice tinged with concern.
Your smile faltered, and you nodded, motioning for him to take a seat beside you on the bed. Heeseung took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts before he spoke.
"Is everything okay? You've been listening to these breakup songs for days now, and… I can't help but wonder if… if there's something you want to tell me," he confessed, his gaze searching hers for any sign of the truth.
Your eyes widened in realization, and you reached out to gently cup his face, your touch warm and reassuring. "Oh, Heeseung, I'm so sorry if I made you worry," you said softly, voice filled with sincerity.
"But why these songs? Are you… are you trying to tell me something?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
With a soft laugh, shaking your head. "No, Heeseung, not at all. I just enjoy the melody and everything. Shouldn't you understand? I mean you're the artist here." Heeseung felt a weight lift off his shoulders, a sense of clarity washing over him. He reached out to intertwine his fingers with yours, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips.

Your upset best friend, Park Sunghoon hangs up the phone for the third time this week. You called late at night to ramble, rant and cry about your boyfriend who has not been the best towards you these days. The other days of the week were spent face to face, you; running over to his house to ramble, rant, and cry about the same thing. With the messy emotions boiling within you, you fail to notice the same messy whirlpool of emotions swimming in Sunghoon; the man who remains stuck in the friendzone.
"Why don't you just break up with him?" He says as he hands you another box of tissues. "You don't understand, I love him."
"You'd know how it would feel if you loved someone the same way I love Jake." He looks at you as you wipe your tears, seeing you in this state for a past few weeks has given him another reminder why he wants to protect and care for you.
"I do love someone, maybe even more than the way you love Jake" Oh, how he wished he could cast a spell over you to stop crying over your boyfriend and wake up and see what was right next to you, him, Sunghoon.
"Who's that?" This time you actually stop and look at him for the first time again since you opened the door for him. He shakes his head indicating how he won't tell you. "I did not come here to discuss my love life while yours is in shambles." and with what he said, you start crying again, lightly shoving him "Then why did you say it, gosh I hate you." Not effected by your emotional and physical jab, he laughs it off and pulls you into a hug "I love you too."
Back at his house, he knew you were right. It doesn't matter if the odds are not in your favor, it doesn't matter if the other person is hurting you emotionally, if you love them...you stay because apparently love is blind.
Sunghoon lays in his bed as he tries to fall asleep, his head turns to the left to look at the picture frame with a photo of you and him during your vacation after high school graduation.
The two of you got permission from both of your parents to go to Switzerland together, you traveled for the first time, just you two. Luckily you did not get lost or had any bad experiences and made yourselves back home in one piece. The picture reminded him always of that core memory you two had but also reminded him of when the kind lady who took the picture for you calling you two a cute couple, you were about to correct her, but Sunghoon just said thank you and joked about how he can't wait to marry you when you both are older.
Sighing as he turned off the lamp, bitterly going to sleep as he realizes that that may never happen, as long as you're under Sim Jake's love spell.
He's sleeping alone with his weighted blanket while you were cuddled up with your boyfriend. Jake was always the cookie cutter, picture perfect, straight out of a rom com (written by a woman) type of man.
The past week just seemed like an off day for you both, a misunderstanding and conflict that caused you to keep running to your best friend. "I'm sorry for the past week baby, I did not mean to make you feel the way you did." Jake soothes you by caressing your back as you lay you head on his chest. "I'm sorry for projecting my work issues on you, I don't know why I let myself do that."
"It's okay, I totally understand. I mean I would get mad at anyone too if my boss was a complete asshole." You both share a chuckle and Jake kisses your forehead, falling asleep to each other's warmth and presence.
The next day after work, you made your way to the main exit of the building and you find both of the men waiting for you outside, leaning against their cars. "I didn't know you and douchebag made up" Sunghoon was never fond of Jake, he would tell you how he could see pass his "good boy" facade, Jake on the other hand never understood how Sunghoon could hate him when they barely exchanged a few hellos back then. "Dude, I-" you walk up to Jake quickly asking him to just leave it. "Baby, don't. It's okay, He didn't mean it."
"Yes, I did." Sunghoon says, not sparing a glance at the both of you. "Sunghoon, why are you here? and what's with the attitude?"
"I thought to pick you up since you and lover boy were not on good terms, but I guess you two made up." He tries to play off the jealousy by shrugging and having a nonchalant look on his face as he enters his car. "See you around, yeah?" Without waiting for a reply he drives away.
"That best friend of yours really hates me" Jake draws little circles on your back as he pulls you closer for a hug. "I guess after all the times you've made me cry the past week, it's safe to say, yes he does."
He laughs, looking unbothered by it "As long as you're always gonna be mine" he says as he opens the passenger side door for you. "Always."
The car ride home was better than the last time he picked you up, now there was less tension and back to normal. His free hand holding yours while stealing kisses from you during a red light or a stop sign. "Why don't we head to the store, pick up a few things and drive home to have a game night?" Jake suggested. "Let's make sure this game night, stays as game night, alright lover boy" teasing him with the nickname Sunghoon called him earlier. "You know the name Loverboy doesn't bother me, love." shaking your head, you just continue to watch Jake drive you both to the store safely.
Meanwhile back at the bar, Sunghoon is seated next to his friends Heeseung and Jay. "You know, Sunghoon...I hate to say this but-"
"Shut up, I know you're gonna tell me I don't have a shot with yn"
"Oh, so you do know but still decide to be an idiot?"
"We might as well record our same old advice and you could replay it every time you're back in this situation." He rolls his eyes and shoves Jay's face away from his. "You guys are such 'great' friends" the other men laugh and nudge Sunghoon. "We are only joking but also, it's the truth man, I know you like her a lot but she's happy with Jake."
"Also, he's not that bad of a guy, I used to work with him." Heeseung shares a short story on Jake. But this doesn't change Sunghoon's outlook on him. "Clearly jealousy is clouding your judgment" Jay takes away the drink from Sunghoon and reminding him he has work tomorrow.
"Wait, have you ever tried confessing to yn?" He shakes his head, telling them how it was clear that you never liked him. "Really? I remember her telling me in college that she had a crush on you when we were in-" not caring about the rest of Jay's story, he books it out of the bar and heads to your house. "Great, you made him delulu, thinking he can pull her now" Heeseung and Jay laugh seeing their friend stumble out the chair and run to his car.
Yes, he was still sober, but he was drunk on you. As he drives, he's thinking about all those times back in college, wondering if you really had a crush on him back then. But as he pulls into your driveway, he spots Jake's car in the garage, oh how lovely.
Nonetheless, he's at your door, ringing the doorbell. "Hello how-" Jake's sentence was cut short once he sees who's at the door. "I need to talk to yn" Sunghoon enters your house, not looking at Jake and just makes his way over to you. "Okay..." Jake awkwardly closes the door and goes over to you.
"Woah, Sunghoon what are you doing here?"
"He said he wanted to talk to you, So, I'll give you to some privacy. I'll be in the room, love." Kissing you and walking away. To this, Sunghoon looks away but rolls his eyes. Once he hears the bedroom door close, he jumps into action. Sitting next to you on the floor that was decorated with blankets, fairy lights, and snacks. The tv screen illuminated by the game you put on pause.
"Jay told me you had a crush on me back in college, that true?" You blink more than you usually do, bewildered on why that made him come over so suddenly. "Well, yeah but only for like a month?"
"Why didn't you tell me?" You think back to the time, and you remember the day you did see him in a different way. "I think it was just because I just got dump by that guy I was seeing, after that I kind of reminisced about how different you two would treat me." You looked at Sunghoon who was waiting for the direct explanation, so you continued. "You always treated me like a princess and reminded me how worthy I was, so I guess during that month I started developing feelings for you."
"And?"
"I didn't do anything about it because that same month, you started dating that one girl from your class." At this point, Sunghoon was now wishing he just stayed for the rest of Jay's story. "Why did you rush all the way here, also, were you drinking?"
"Maybe..I was with Jay and Heeseung."
"Answer my question.
"I did"
"The first question, Hoon"
"I don't remember what it was."
"Don't bs me, you're not drunk" He sighs and quickly thinks on an excuse to give you. "I was so curious, that's all, besides I was driving home, thought I stop by" you weren't convinced in the slightest, but you know there was no more budging this dude, so you nod and tell him whatever.
A little later Sunghoon goes back home, and Jake comes back into the living room. "What was that about?" Sitting back down in his spot and picking up his controller. "He found out I had a small crush on him back in college before you and I dated, he was curious..."
"Well, yeah the guy has a huge crush on you now, maybe he thought you were-"
"Wait what?"
"Oh, c'mon babe, it's so obvious." You pause the game again and face your boyfriend, waiting for more explanations. "I'm a dude, he's a dude, I basically know he likes you based off on how he acts, especially around me with you." Still not believing it, Jake suggests you call him, being direct and just ask him. So, you do, he hands you your phone and you dial his number.
When you call, Sunghoon has just entered his house and locked the door when he hears your ringtone. Picking up and he immediately wants to go run and hide. "Do you like me, Sunghoon?"
"Of course, you're my best friend. Of course-"
"Not platonically, Sunghoon. Do you have feelings for me?"
"What you gonna do if I do?"
As much as he wants you to drop that boyfriend of yours and be with him, he knows it too selfish to take you away from your happy relationship. But with the number of times where he put you first before his own self, was we wishing you would do so? "You know what, yn let's forget about it, I don't want to ruin what you have with Jake" then hangs up the phone. "So?" Jake looks at you with 'I told you so' look, making you glare at him. "He does..."
"You'll probably have to talk to him seriously next time you guys meet" this time when you pick up your controller, you don't have the same excitement you had before, now you're nervous and scared that you might have just lost your best friend. "I'm sorry I even brought that up, now you're in this predicament."
"No, babe. It's fine, it's better I find out than never."
"What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to help him move on?" confused with your own answer that it came out as a question. "That'll be awkward."
And for sure it was, because the next two days Sunghoon manage to dodge you and hide away, but those victories of avoiding you ends now. You stand at his front door. With the help of Jay and Heeseung, you three manage to plan something to get him to come out of his house. Sunghoon got ready to meet Jay but when he opened the door to leave, he saw you. "We need to talk."
"What is there to talk about? Yn, you know now that I like you but there's nothing you can do about it." Sunghoon tries to walk past you to get to his car but when he looks in the driveway, his car isn't there. "Jay took your car but don't worry, you're coming with me." Taking his arm and bringing him to your car. "I don't understand how you say I can't do anything about it when-"
"It's not like you're going to break up with Jake to be with me yn, you love him. You don't love me that way, I can't just force you to." You stop walking and face him again. "I can't get you to fall for me by making moves on you because that's not fair to Jake and you. So please, just forget about it."
He gently removes your hand off him and fixes his jacket. "Just go home yn" you try to walk close to him, but he just backs up, away from you. "Sunghoon, I don't want to lose you."
"But yn, I already lost you years ago." He takes your silence a chance to retrieve back into his house and locking the door behind him. The barrier keeping you two apart.

peek-a-boo / choi yeonjun
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: your boyfriend unintentionally and or accidentally spoils your comeback
pairing: idol au, yeonjun x reader
warnings: none, maybe one cuss word
wc: 459
Tumblr media
"Yeah, she's been doing alright, thank you guys for taking it so well and being supportive" yeonjun says before shoving another mouthful of salad into his mouth.
With the constantly new announcements of idols dating, you and yeonjun decided to confirm all the rumors that had been circulating. But also, because he was jealous how you were always paired and shipped with straykids' hyunjin.
"But I've seen a handful of negative comments and reactions but hey *shrugs* what can I do, except file a lawsuit" he smirks as he takes a sip of his smoothie.
"Should I show you guys some cute pics and videos I have of yn?" He reaches for his phone as soon as he saw so many 'yes' replies. Clearly excited to show you off. "Here take a look at this, she fell asleep on my chest for the first time here."
He continues to show his fans as well as giving out back stories to each one, everything was going fine until he swiped to the next one (screen still facing the fans to see) and it's a clip of you recording your unreleased song, you comeback title track.
Luckily, he noticed right away and paused the video, putting his phone down and yelling sorry over and over again. "YN IM SORRY, PLEASE DONT HURT ME" spinning around in his chair while his face is covered by both his hands.
Apologizing not only to you but everyone on you team basically, begging moa not to spread it around but he knew deep down, he fucked up.
The situation got more interesting when you knocked on the door where he was at. "You guys, whatever happens to me, you'll have it on camera, documented." Pointing two fingers at his eyes then to the camera. "Yeonjun stop being dramatic and open the door."
He sighs out dramatically and opens the door. "Heyyyy baby, didn't expect to see you here" pulling you into a hug "wanna say hi to moa, the ones that made me the idol that I am, the ones that protect me, the ones who-"
"I'm not mad" you pull away from the hug and look at the way his face quickly changes into a confused bewildered one. "Is this a trick?"
"No, why would you think that?"
"Well, I don't maybe I JUST SPOILED A SONG THAT YOU HAVEN'T EVEN RELEASED YET!" then he turns back to the phone and begs moa again not to leak anything.
"Don't you think it's too late for that?"
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to" for the rest of the live, you joined in and for the rest of the live, yeonjun was freaking out inside on what could the managers and producers say to him later.

angry angel / park jongseong
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: you say I deserve better but what could be better than you?
pairing: jay x reader, grumpy x sunshine
warnings: arguments, hinting at a breakup, angtsy (cause that's all i know) but still fluff in the end, lmk if i missed anything
wc: 3k
Tumblr media
You always wondered why he told you to keep the key to the padlock when you both pushed the latch of the lock that is supposed to symbolize unbreakable love. Wasn't the whole purpose of the love locks being to throw the key into the water to show that the love lock would be bound to the railing, just like how you two were to each other?
When you started dating Park Jongseong, all you friends questioned your taste and judged your decision-making skills. Since you two were the complete opposites, it didn't seem right for little miss sunshine to pair up with Mr. grumpy pants.
But something about that serious and nonchalant behavior, you saw a gentleman and a committed lover. To which he was, he was no lovey dovey prince charming. But you were so attracted and drawn to the person he was. You were just hoping that one day, you'll get to the bright side of Park Jongseong, the cute and soft side.
For Jay, his friends felt the same. They were always expecting Jay to settle down with someone who was like him, so when you walked in the room holding his hand; let's just say shock was an understatement. When they were told, they were going to meet his girlfriend, they thought a sophisticated, old money kind of vibe, laid back woman would show up. But there you were with your bubbly and friendly personality.
Nonetheless, they loved and adored you. It was something they definitely teased Jay about once he arrived back to the house after dropping you back home.
Jake, Heeseung, and Sunghoon are lounging on the couch, chatting and laughing. Jay enters, looking a bit flustered but trying to maintain his usual composed demeanor.
Grinning mischievously "Well, well, well, look who's back from his romantic rendezvous." Jake says. Jay raises an eyebrow "Very funny, Jake. Can we not start this?"
"Oh, come on, Jay. Don't be such a killjoy. We're just curious about your date with YN."
"Yeah, we're dying to know how Mr. Serious managed to snag such a bubbly girl like her." Hearing this from Sunghoon, Jay sighs "She's not that bubbly.
"Oh, really? Because when she walked in here earlier, she practically lit up the room with her energy."
"Yeah, and compared to her, you look like you're about to give a lecture on quantum physics."
Jay was used it, but he did share the same thought on how he managed to start a relationship with you and why were you both so attracted to one another.
But that did not change the fact that he did love you and did do things that you never expected from him.
Every morning, you wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and the sound of Jay bustling around the kitchen. Despite his grumpy demeanor before his first cup of joe, he always manages to make you a perfect cup, just the way you like it. As you sip your coffee, Jay places a gentle kiss on your forehead, mumbling a sleepy "Good morning, beautiful" before heading off to tackle the day.
Or after a long day at work, you come home exhausted and stressed. Jay, despite being equally drained from his own day, immediately springs into action. He starts preparing your favorite comfort food, humming a tune to himself as he works. As you sit down to eat, he listens intently to your day, offering words of encouragement and support, reminding you how capable you are even when you feel overwhelmed.
Even that one evening, you're feeling particularly down about a personal setback. Jay, knowing how much you love spending time outdoors, suggests taking a spontaneous evening walk together. Despite his initial reluctance, he puts aside his own concerns to focus on cheering you up. As you stroll through the park hand in hand, he shares stories and jokes, doing his best to bring a smile to your face.
But the funny thing was in public, you two weren't even seen as a couple since both of your aesthetics don't even blend. A few to mention; You and Jay decide to grab dinner at a trendy restaurant downtown. As you walk in, Jay, dressed in his usual business casual attire, heads straight for the bar while you, in your bright and colorful ensemble, take a moment to admire the decor. As you wait for your table, you catch the curious glances of other patrons.
"Excuse me, are you waiting for someone?"
"Oh, yes, my boyfriend. He went to grab us some drinks."
Jay returns with drinks and wraps an arm around your waist, prompting surprised murmurs and raised eyebrows from nearby diners.
Then, at a friend's party, you and Jay arrive separately due to conflicting schedules. You, in your vibrant and flowery dress, mingle with the guests, while Jay, in his usual attire and his blazer hangs back near the snack table. Throughout the evening, friends and acquaintances approach you.
"Hey there! I didn't know you were single! You're always out and about on your own."
"Actually, I'm here with Jay. He's around here somewhere."
Also, during a weekend shopping trip, you and Jay browse through stores at opposite ends of the mall. As you peruse the racks of colorful dresses, you overhear nearby shoppers speculating about your relationship status.
"Look at her, all dressed up and shopping alone. Must be single."
"Actually, I'm here with my boyfriend. He's probably browsing in a different section." Jay unexpectedly appears by your side, pulls you into his arms for a quick kiss.
Over the years, they created countless memories together, each moment etched into the fabric of their shared history. You two explored the city's hidden gems, from markets to serene parks, finding beauty in the ordinary and joy in each other's company. Jay, with his practical nature, was always there to ground you when your dreams soared too high, while you, with your boundless optimism, infused Jay's world with color and light.
The love you had for one another was not without its challenges, of course. There were moments of doubt and uncertainty, times when you and he clashed and disagreed. But through it all, you both remained steadfast in their commitment to each other, weathering the storms of life with unwavering strength and resilience.
As the chatter and laughter filled the air at their friend's get-together, Jay found himself engaged in a conversation with Jake, one of his closest friends. They stood by the drinks table, sipping on their beers as they caught up on each other's lives.
"So, how's work been treating you lately?" Jake asked, leaning in with genuine interest.
"It's been alright, you know, the usual grind," Jay replied, his attention momentarily diverted by the sight of you across the room, deep in conversation with another guest.
Jake noticed the shift in Jay's demeanor and followed his gaze. "Hey, everything okay?" he asked, concern evident in his voice.
"Yeah, yeah, everything's fine," Jay muttered, his eyes still fixed on Yn and the other man, who seemed to be hitting it off effortlessly.
Jake raised an eyebrow, sensing his friend's unease. "You sure about that? You seem a little distracted."
Jay sighed, torn between wanting to trust Yn and the gnawing feeling of insecurity creeping into his mind. "I don't know, man. It's just… seeing her talking to that guy over there, they seem to have so much in common, you know? They're laughing and joking like old friends."
Jake nodded in understanding, placing a reassuring hand on Jay's shoulder. "I get it, but you gotta remember, Yn chose you for a reason. You two have something special that goes beyond shared interests. Trust in your connection, mate."
Jay nodded slowly, his thoughts swirling as he tried to shake off the nagging doubts clouding his mind. "Yeah, you're right. Thanks, Jake. I needed to hear that."
As the day rolled on, the group migrated to Heeseung's place for some video game fun. Jay settled in next to you, eager to spend more time together after the earlier bout of insecurity. However, his hopes were quickly dashed when you turned to Sunoo, suggesting to team up for Mario Kart.
Confusion and hurt flickered across Jay's face as he struggled to comprehend your unexpected choice. He had been looking forward to bonding with you, but now it seemed like you had other plans.
"You sure you want to team up with Sunoo?" Jay asked, trying to keep his tone light despite the turmoil brewing inside him.
You glanced at Jay, her expression guarded. "Well, you never really cared for video games, Jay. I figured you wouldn't want to play with me anyway," she replied.
Jay's heart sank at your words, the sting of jealousy and insecurity gnawing at him from within. He wanted to protest, to assure you that he did want to play with you, but the words caught in his throat, drowned out by the weight of his emotions.
With a forced smile, Jay simply nodded, his silence betraying the turmoil raging beneath the surface. As you and Sunoo dove into the game together, laughter and joy filling the room, Jay couldn't shake the feeling of being left out, of being replaced by someone who shared your interests more closely.
As the game progressed, Jay's thoughts spiraled, his jealousy and insecurity consuming him from within. He watched you and Sunoo's playful banter, their shared excitement over each victory, and felt a pang of longing for the connection they seemed to share.
But amidst the turmoil, a small voice in Jay's mind reminded him of the strength of his bond with you, of the countless moments they had shared together, each one a testament to their love and commitment to each other.
As the evening drew to a close and it was time to say their goodbyes, Jay watched you flit from friend to friend, your infectious laughter and warm hugs filling the room. He couldn't help but marvel at how effortlessly you connected with others, a social butterfly in her element.
Meanwhile, Jay lingered on the outskirts of the group, his own circle of friends much smaller in comparison. He had always been more reserved, more comfortable in the company of a select few rather than a bustling crowd. And yet, seeing you thrive in the midst of so many people, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of inadequacy creeping into his thoughts.
As you bid farewell to each of her friends, Jay's gaze lingered on your interactions, he noticed your exchange with Sunoo. You two made plans to meet up again tomorrow, a casual invitation that seemed to hang in the air between them.
Soon after, you walk up to him. "Ready to go, baby?" taking a hold of his hands and placing them around her waist, then proceeding to place her hands round his neck pulling him closer. "Yeah, let's head home."
As they made their way home in silence, Jay couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled over him like a heavy cloak. He longed to voice his concerns, to express the insecurity gnawing at him from within, but the words remained trapped in his throat, unsaid and unresolved.
Deep down, Jay knew that his feelings stemmed not from any fault of your, but from his own struggles with self-doubt and insecurity. He knew that you loved him for who he was, differences and all, and yet, the fear of losing her to someone more like her lingered in the recesses of his mind, a nagging doubt that refused to be silenced.
"Hey, Yn," Jay began, his voice hesitant yet determined, "what are your plans for tomorrow?"
You turned to him "Oh, I'm going go-carting and to this cute arcade cafe with Sunoo," you replied, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips.
"Why not with me?" Jay blurted out before he could stop himself, his words tinged with a hint of desperation.
Your expression softened, a flicker of understanding crossing your features. "Well, you mentioned before that you weren't interested in doing those things," you explained gently, reaching out to squeeze his hand reassuringly.
Jay felt a wave of remorse wash over him at her words, a bitter taste of regret flooding his senses. "I… I know," Jay murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'm sorry, Yn. I shouldn't have said that. I… I regret it now."
Yn offered him a sympathetic smile, her eyes soft with understanding. "It's okay, Jay." Jay took a deep breath and mustered up a small smile. "Just… be safe tomorrow, okay? And have fun," he said, his words laced with genuine warmth and sincerity.
You nodded, returning his smile with one of your own. "I will. Thank you, Jay," you replied, voice filled with affection.
As the weeks passed by, Jay couldn't shake the growing unease that settled in the pit of his stomach. He watched from the sidelines as you and Sunoo grew closer, bond seemingly strengthening with each passing day. They laughed together, shared inside jokes, and spent more time together than Jay and you did. And with each passing moment, Jay felt the distance between them widening, a gaping chasm that threatened to swallow him whole.
Unable to bear the weight of his doubts any longer, Jay knew he had to confront you about the growing rift between them. He waited for the perfect moment, a quiet evening at home when the world seemed to stand still around them.
"Yn, can we talk?" Jay asked, his voice trembling with uncertainty as he watched her from across the room.
You glanced up from her book, sensing the gravity of Jay's words. "Of course, Jay. What's on your mind?" you replied, setting the book aside and giving him your full attention.
Taking a deep breath, Jay sat down beside you, his heart heavy with the weight of his words. "I've been doing a lot of thinking lately, and… I don't think this is working anymore," he began, his voice barely above a whisper.
Your eyes widened in shock, a flicker of hurt flashing across your features. "What do you mean?" you asked, voice barely a whisper.
"I mean… I think we should break up," Jay admitted, his words hanging in the air between them like a heavy cloud.
But before he could say anything more, you reached out and placed a gentle hand on his arm, touch a comforting anchor in the storm of his emotions.
"No, Jay," you said firmly "We're not breaking up until you tell me what's really going on."
Jay swallowed hard, the lump in his throat making it difficult to speak. "I just… I feel like you deserve better," he confessed, his voice barely audible.
Your brows furrowed in confusion, your eyes searching his face for answers. "Better? What are you talking about, Jay?"
"You deserve someone who's like you," Jay continued, his words tumbling out in a rush. "Someone who shares your interests, your personality… Someone who can make you happy in a way that I can't."
But before he could say anything more, you cut him off.
"Why can't you be that 'better' man for me, Jay?" you asked, "Why do you think I need someone who's exactly like me? I fell in love with you, not some carbon copy of myself."
Jay blinked in surprise, taken aback by your words. He had never considered that he could be enough for you, just as he was.
As you and Jay sat together, enveloped in the warmth of your embrace, you felt a rush of emotions wash over you. With a deep breath, you took Jay's hands in yours, your gaze locking with his as you poured your heart out.
"Jay, I want you to know that I've always tried my best to support you and your interests," you began, your voice filled with sincerity. "I may not share all of them, but I've put in effort to understand and appreciate the things you love. Remember when I spent hours learning about vintage cars just so I could have meaningful conversations with you? Or the time I surprised you with tickets to that basketball game, even though sports aren't really my thing?"
Jay's eyes softened as he listened to your words, a flicker of realization dawning in his eyes. He had never fully appreciated the lengths you went to in order to connect with him, to bridge the gap between your differences and find common ground.
"And it's not just about the big gestures," you continued, your voice growing more earnest with each word. "It's the little things too, like making your favorite meal even when I'm tired, or watching that action movie marathon with you even though I prefer rom-coms. I've done all of that because I love you, Jay, and because I believe in us."
"I'm sorry, Yn," Jay whispered, his voice choked with emotion. "I've been so blind to everything you've done for me, so focused on my own insecurities that I failed to see the love and effort you've poured into our relationship."
As the tender moment between you and Jay lingered, a playful glint sparked in your eyes, and a mischievous grin spread across your face. "You know, Jay," you teased, your voice filled with playful banter, "I was just thinking about heading to that tower where we placed our love lock. Maybe I'll grab the key, just to keep you on your toes."
Jay's eyes widened in mock horror, a playful gasp escaping his lips. "You wouldn't dare!" he exclaimed, his tone mockingly dramatic.
You laughed, the sound echoing through the room like music to Jay's ears. "Oh, you know me, Jay. I'm full of surprises," you replied, a twinkle of mischief dancing in your eyes.
As the laughter subsided, curiosity sparked in your mind, and you turned to Jay with a quizzical expression. "Speaking of the love lock," you began, "why did you tell me to keep the key instead of throwing it into the water like you're supposed to?"
Jay's gaze softened as he looked at you, a fond smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Well, Yn," he began, his voice tinged with warmth, "I wanted us to have a reminder of our love, something tangible that we could hold onto, even when times get tough."
You nodded in understanding, touched by Jay's sentiment. "That's sweet, Jay," you replied, your voice soft with emotion. "I'm glad we have that reminder, especially on days like today when we need it the most."
With a gentle sigh, Jay pulled you closer, his arms wrapping around you in a comforting embrace. "Me too, Yn," he murmured, pressing a tender kiss to your forehead. "Me too."
As you continued to bask in the warmth of your embrace with Jay, a playful glint still dancing in your eyes, you couldn't resist teasing him a little more. "You know, Jay," you teased, your voice laced with amusement, "you were actually kind of cute when you were jealous of Sunoo."
Jay's eyes widened in surprise, his cheeks flushing slightly at your words. "Wait, you knew I was jealous?" he asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.
You chuckled softly, reaching up to gently stroke his cheek. "Of course I did, Jay," you replied, your tone affectionate. "You weren't as good at hiding it as you thought you were."
Jay shook his head in disbelief, a sheepish smile spreading across his face. "I guess I need to work on my poker face," he admitted, his voice tinged with self-deprecation.
With a soft giggle, you leaned in to press a tender kiss to Jay's lips, your heart swelling with love for the man beside you. "Don't worry, Jay," you reassured him, your voice filled with warmth. "I love you just the way you are, jealousy and all."
As Jay's arms tightened around you, holding you close as if afraid to let go, you couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude for the love you shared. "And besides," you continued, your voice growing more serious, "why would I ever want to end our two-year relationship over something as silly as jealousy? We've been through so much together, Jay, and I wouldn't trade that for anything in the world."
With a tender smile, Jay pressed a lingering kiss to your forehead, his love for you shining brightly in his eyes. "Neither would I, Yn," he murmured, his voice filled with sincerity. "Neither would I." And as you melted into his embrace, the doubts and insecurities that had once plagued you melting away, you knew that as long as you had each other, you could weather any storm that came your way. For in each other's arms, you had found your home, your sanctuary, your forever.

With your phone alarm going off, you come out of the bathroom, ready and prepared for the day ahead of you. Numbers on the clock tell you that you have enough time to eat breakfast, brush your teeth then head to your first class of the day. When we say breakfast, we mean coffee and maybe toast bread (if you're lucky) because that's the kind of luxury living in a dorm gets you. Roommates aren't always the best thing ever but lucky you, you did not get the shorter end of the stick. Because of Bahiyyih, she was a year above you but that did not matter since you two seem like long lost sisters. She's definitely one of the reasons why you are currently mentally sane.
Unfortunately, she'll also be the reason why you meet the one that will make your college life a living hell and test that sanity of yours. Being close to her means you come along to her brothers' dancing competitions, being at those competitions also means you meeting Nishimura Riki...
Here's the thing, there was nothing wrong with Riki, when you first met the rest of Huening Kai's dance group members; Riki was the most kind and most welcoming. He was someone who you clicked with so easily, someone who presented himself as if he was so trustworthy... emphasis on 'was'. Because right now, the man standing in front of you is reminding you what 'hindsight' is.
It started during your freshman year, after gaining a solid friendship with Bahiyyih; she wanted to bring you to one of her brother's performances for the school's event. You never minded going to them because you enjoyed musical art in your own time as well. When you went to see these events, you only ever looked at the group as a whole, judging their skills and expertise. That was until you went backstage to see Huening Kai. His group just won first place and you went over with Bahiyyih to congratulate them.
That's when your life was going to start shifting because when you knocked on the door, Riki opened the door with a warm smile, and gestured you guys to enter. "Hiyyih, nice to see you again" he says in a sarcastic tone, showing the close-ness he has with Bahiyyih as well.
"Oh Riki, I love seeing you around" Hiyyih responds back with the same kind of sarcasm. "This is yn, be nice". You looked up at him, and geez did that feel like an effort to do since he was 6ft tall, maybe even more than that. He smiles shyly as he notices how cute your height difference was. "Wow, look at Riki boy being all shy, that's new". one of the other guys say, which you later find out it was a senior named Heeseung.
"Leave him alone guys before he becomes beet red" Huening Kai walks in and greets you after. You look back at Riki who was still opening the door, standing in the same spot. "You okay there, bud?" Kai nudges him; getting him out of his trance. "What? Love at first sight?"
There you have it, your little meet-cute with Riki, it is also the day that marks the teasing shipping by everyone that knew you two. But that did not stop Riki from sticking around, it's like the teasing only egged him on to bother you as well. Since that day, nothing could have prepared you for the antics and shenanigans Riki would add into your life. But you weren't complaining.
"What's going on with you and Riki?"
"Are you two dating?"
"Do you like him?"
You felt like you were being interrogated by your friends at the lunch table. Since they saw that Riki treated you for boba tea and cake, also they noticed how he would constantly do romantic things for you, which you had to try your best to explain how you were friends and that he was just a natural gentleman.
"Yeah, cause any guy would go out of their way to get you things in the middle of the night, offer to run errands for you, and buy you flowers just because...why not?" At this point, your friends were setting you up for failure since they were not letting you rebuttal and debunk their theories.
"Guys, I swear...we are just friends." shoving another spoonful in your mouth and rolling your eyes at your friends. Look, you had no issue with the constant teasing and shipping but sometimes they can push it.
"Oh yeah, then why is he coming over with a bag of goodies like he knows you're on your period today?" turning around, and yes, he was coming over to your table with a black plastic bag filled with necessities. "Hey yn, I picked up some stuff when I went to the convenience with the boys." He hands over the bag and you take it with a smile. "Wait, why did you-"
"I just took notice to your cycle-" Riki stops himself when he realized how shocked you looked and maybe started thinking that he was a psycho. "Oh- OH wait...did that sound weird...I'm sorry." soon after, you had to assure him that it was okay and that you never expected it.
After he leaves, you sit back down and face your friends who had a certain look and smile on their faces. Some of them raising their eyebrows at you, like they want to say "just friends, huh?"
"Don't even start" warning them but the look still remains on their face. Again, rolling your eyes and focusing back to eating lunch before you had to drag your feet to your next class.
Guess what? you have that next dreaded class with him.
Later, you're in your usual seat, re reading the notes in case the professor wants to suddenly have a pop quiz. So focused that you do not realize that he already sat next to you. "Do we have an exam that I don't know about?" eyes leaving the notebook to look at him, one bicep on the table, head held by his palm. He's rocking the same hip hop fit and classic smirk.
"Why do you have to stress yourself out like this, relax yn" taking the book out of your hands and closing it. Before you could say anything, he places it on his desk and looks back at you. "There's no pop quiz or exam, the professor isn't even coming to class."
"What if there's a substitute and they give us a task?" chuckling, he looks at the wall clock and gives you an ultimatum. "In the next 20 minutes, if no one shows up, let's get out of here and just hang?" This was nothing new, Riki has always proposed this idea to you but never got to happen. So, you always just say yes.
Usually after he would give the ultimatum, the professor or the sub with walk in. To which you see the disappointment in his eyes as he slumps in his chair, along with a "I hate this class".
But this time, it has passed 15 minutes and no one else but your classmates have entered the room. For those 15 minutes, Riki has been mentally planning on what he's going to do or where he's going to take you if you both do end up leaving. Why was he even nervous, he's been out with you, multiple times...but in groups.
Another 5 minutes goes by and before Riki could bask in his victory, someone from the faculty comes in. You smirk and rub his back jokingly. He looks back at you and sends you a death glare. "You hate me that much? You can't even spend an hour and a half alone with me?" As he starts pouting, the professor speaks up.
"Your professor won't be able to make it in today, he also did not leave any task or assignment, so you are free to go." now the reactions are switched, your smirk fading and Riki's pout turning into a smile.
Now, you find yourself in the newly opened cafe in the campus. With a very happy Riki. "Now that I think about it, you're stuck with me for 4 years, and maybe even beyond that. You know...after graduation." He sips on his coffee and whips out his phone. "What if I move schools?"
"Then I'll just have to follow you there." Taking a picture of the food and while you were looking out the window, he snaps a quick picture. "You look pretty, yn." its times like this where you start to question if your friends were right and maybe Riki has feelings for you, but you think back to his interactions with other females; he pretty much acts the same towards them...but does he call other girl pretty and take them out to more than just friendly dates?
"Riki, can I ask you something?" You couldn't let this live on anymore, you had to get a straight answer from him, getting the answer to this 'what are we' situation you both were in.
"Sure, anything."
"Even if it might change our friendship?" He pauses but bounces back quickly and proceeds to shrug. "It can't be that bad, shoot"
"Do you perhaps...like me? romantically?" Looking straight at him. "I just...I'm getting mixed signals from you and I-"
"I do"
"What?"
"I really do"
From that moment on, your freshman year was occasionally filled with Nishimura Riki.
In the beginning, everything was molded perfectly into your life, nothing seemed to overlap, had a handful academic stress but had resilience. Riki was the addition that you loved. In the beginning.
The first official date happened a week after that talk, Riki decided to go to your dorm room, which was extremely restricted to males, but somehow, he slipped through the wire and convinced you to go on a spontaneous date. He took you to a park and you two had a picnic and played soccer together. It was a fun time, getting to know Riki and him getting to know you on a different level and for a different reason.
The first kiss was when you were at a little group hang out, Riki and his friends separated from you and the others, only to come back with funny disguises; embarrassing you guys by dancing and singing loudly in the middle of the mall and only promising to stop if you kissed his cheek. Which you were going to do but he moved his face so you could kiss his lips.
The first 'I love you' was when it was spring break for freshman year when Riki had to go back to his hometown to visit his family. When you two were saying your goodbyes, you said the three little words.
As the sun dipped low on the horizon, casting a warm glow over the campus, you and Riki found yourselves standing beneath a blossoming cherry blossom tree. It was the last day before spring break, and Riki's hometown beckoned him back to his family.
Finally, with a soft sigh, you looked up at him, your gaze filled with affection and vulnerability. "I love you," you whispered, the words hanging in the air between you like delicate petals.
Riki's heart skipped a beat as he processed your confession, a rush of warmth flooding his chest. He felt a lump form in his throat, overwhelmed by the intensity of his emotions. "I love you too," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper but filled with sincerity.
A little fast forward to second year, you were now both sophomores; still going strong as a couple. It been roughly 8 months since you two got together in February, during your freshman year. Now we stand in September, the very first day of your sophomore year. First day was always nerve wracking for you, no matter what because you have too much to look forward to but also so many things to worry about.
But still, your main focus and priority was still to be on the grind, work your butt off to get high grades, do extra-curricular activities, but still making times for friends and loved ones.
And that's what you made sure to do, months passed, and you were one of the few students who were on the top of their classes but still manage to have their own private life, to others; you make it look so easy.
"Got time for your boyfriend, or no?" Putting down your book and then sitting down next to you, Riki had a pout on his face, giving you puppy eyes. "You seem to like this book more than me these days" continuing to sulk until you give in and give him attention for the rest of the day.
"I just have an exam coming up, that's all." You try to reason but nothing ever seems to work for Riki, "I still reach out and keep you updated though" unfazed, he simple places his face to rest on his palm, still facing you with the same pout and puppy eyes. Sighing, putting down your reviewers and pens, asking him what he wants.
"I'm not taking you completely away from your study time, I know how important this is to you but take a break, let's go out and get some snacks, then we can come back here and I can study with you?"
Now you knew your boyfriend, and this man does not study. But somehow, still gets decent grades, far from a failing one. "You? studying, that's funny."
"Hey, I'm turning a new leaf, I want to match my smarty pants of a girlfriend." Rolling your eyes as you pack your things. After zipping up your bag, Riki goes to carry your bag for you, along with his.
You really felt like Riki was meant to be in your life and you were meant to be in his. The two of you just seemed too perfect for one another, as said by many people in your life. The support, love, and genuine care you have for one another was something you rarely see in college couples. Others tried to find a flaw in you two but somehow, nothing seemed to come to the light. Sure, there were small arguments here and there but even for your first big fight, you both never screamed nor yelled at ech other to get your point across. It was all clear and patient communication to fix whatever caused the problem. It was never you vs him, it was always you two vs the problem.
"Seriously, have you ever seen a more inseparable pair? They're like two peas in a pod!" Kai says while gesturing to Riki and You
"I know, right? I'm convinced nothing could tear those two apart." Hiyyih nods in agreement
"Yeah, not even a tornado or a zombie apocalypse could break their bond. They're like the ultimate relationship goals." Jay laughs as he watched you two from the distance.
"Hey, let's not jinx it. Knowing these two, they'd probably take on a zombie horde together and come out unscathed." Heeseung raises his eyebrows but says sarcastically.
-
"Can you calm down; you're stressing me out!" one of the guys on the dance team takes hold of Riki's jittering self. Clearly, he was under stress and pressure to do well in this event. "Yeah Riki, you'll do great, like always" Kai comes up to him and pats him on the back.
"Yeah, but this time, I have a solo part and what if I-"
"You won't. You're literally a born to be dancer and performer." there you are, what Riki needed right now. Walking into the room giving him the biggest hug you could give him but considering the height difference, you were more like a baby bear to him.
"You've got this, Riki. Just remember to breathe and let your passion flow through every movement."
"Thanks, Babe. I don't know what I'd do without you here."
The emcee's voice echoes through the speakers, announcing the next performance. Riki takes a deep breath, centering himself as he steps onto the stage, the spotlight illuminating his figure.
As the music begins to play, Riki's movements are fluid and graceful, his body seemingly moving in perfect harmony with the rhythm. Each step is imbued with emotion, a testament to his dedication and talent.
From the wings, You watch with bated breath, heart swelling with pride as you witness Riki's mesmerizing performance.
As Riki reaches the climax of his solo, the audience erupts into applause, their cheers filling the auditorium with thunderous applause. Your eyes shimmer with tears of joy as you rush forward to embrace Riki backstage, admiration for him overflowing.
"That was incredible, Riki! You were absolutely breathtaking up there."
There was someone in the crowd who thought the very same about Riki...Remember the talk where your friends were joking how nothing could tear you apart? Yeah, the 'nothing' was there at the auditorium.
It's a typical day on campus, with students bustling between classes and the air filled with the hum of activity. Riki is sitting in a lecture hall, scribbling notes furiously as the professor drones on about the intricacies of a science theory. Suddenly, there's a knock on the door, and the professor pauses, motioning for Riki to step outside.
Riki furrows his brow in confusion but follows the professor's lead, stepping out into the hallway where a man in a sharp suit awaits him. The man exudes an air of confidence and authority, and Riki's curiosity is piqued.
"Riki, I presume? My name is Hiro Endo. I was at your performance yesterday, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed." Extending a hand
Riki's eyes widen in surprise, his heart pounding with excitement. He shakes Hiro's hand eagerly, his mind racing with possibilities.
"Thank you, sir. That means a lot coming from you. But may I ask what brings you here?"
"I represent one of the most renowned entertainment companies abroad, and I believe you have the potential to be a star. Your talent is undeniable, and I would like to offer you and a fellow member of your dance team an incredible opportunity to work with us."
Riki's heart skips a beat at the mention of such a life-changing opportunity. He glances around, searching for his friend from the dance team, who steps forward with a mixture of excitement and disbelief.
"I… I don't know what to say."
"Take a look at these documents. Everything is legitimate, I assure you. This is a chance for you to pursue your passion on a global stage, with all expenses covered and a generous compensation package."
Riki's hands tremble slightly as he flips through the documents, his mind whirling with the magnitude of the opportunity before him. He looks up at Hiro, his eyes shining with determination.
"I'll do it. I'll take the chance."
Hiro's smile widens, sensing Riki's commitment to seize the opportunity before him. With a firm handshake and a promise of further details to come, they part ways, leaving Riki with a newfound sense of purpose and excitement for the future.
As Riki returns to his class, the weight of the decision he's just made settles in his chest.
As Riki navigates the rest of his day, the weight of Hiro's offer hangs heavily on his mind. With each passing moment, the pros and cons of accepting the opportunity to go abroad to South Korea swirl through his thoughts, leaving him torn between excitement and apprehension.
During his next class, Riki finds it difficult to concentrate, his mind wandering back to the conversation with Hiro and the tantalizing prospect of pursuing his passion on a global stage. He imagines the vibrant dance scene in South Korea, the opportunity to learn and grow as an artist, and the chance to make a name for himself on an international level. But alongside the excitement, a nagging sense of doubt gnaws at him.
As the afternoon stretches on, Riki decides to seek solace in the one person who knows him best: Yn. He sends her a text, asking if they can meet up later that evening to talk. With each passing hour, the anticipation builds, and Riki finds himself grappling with the decision of whether to tell Yn about the offer now or wait until it's officially in writing.
On one hand, he wants to share his excitement and fears with Yn, knowing that she'll offer him the support and guidance he needs. But on the other hand, he worries about burdening her with his uncertainties and fears, especially when the offer is still tentative.
As evening falls and Riki meets Yn at their favorite spot-on campus, he takes a deep breath, steeling himself for the conversation ahead. He knows that whatever decision he makes, Yn will be by his side every step of the way. And with her unwavering support, he feels ready to face whatever the future may hold.
"Yn, there's something I need to talk to you about."
You look at him, expression a mix of curiosity and concern. Senses the gravity of his words and braces self for what's to come.
"What is it, Riki? You seem… tense."
Riki meets your gaze, his eyes reflecting a mixture of excitement and uncertainty "A talent agent approached me. He offered me an incredible opportunity to work abroad with one of the most renowned entertainment companies in South Korea."
Your heart skips a beat at Riki's words, a mixture of pride and apprehension washing over you. You knew this day would come, but the reality of it hits harder than anticipated.
"Wow, Riki, that's… that's amazing! Congratulations!" forcing a smile.
Riki reaches for your hand, his touch gentle and reassuring "I know it's a lot to take in, but I truly believe we can make this work, Yn. We've always been so good at communication, and with technology these days, staying connected will be easier than ever. Plus, think of all the opportunities this could open up for both of us."
Your heart aches at Riki's optimism, knowing deep down that your relationship will face challenges you both can't simply overcome with good intentions and video calls. Again, forces a smile, masking your inner turmoil as you squeezes Riki's hand gently.
Softly "Riki, I appreciate your optimism, I really do. But… but we both know that long-distance relationships are incredibly hard. And with your career taking off like this, I… I don't want to hold you back."
Now it Riki's heart to sink at your words, the weight of uncertainty hitting him like a punch to the gut. He had hoped you would share in his excitement, but now he realizes the depth of the fears and doubts.
"Yn, I… I don't want to lose you. You mean everything to me, and I can't imagine my life without you by my side."
Your eyes glisten with unshed tears as you meet Riki's gaze, voice barely above a whisper.
"Riki, I love you. And I want nothing more than to see you succeed and chase your dreams. But… but I can't ignore the reality of the situation. Sometimes love isn't enough to bridge the distance."
Riki's heart shatters at Yn's words, the realization dawning on him that their love may not be enough to overcome the obstacles that lie ahead. With a heavy heart, he pulls Yn into a tight embrace, holding her close as they silently grapple with the uncertain future that lies ahead.
"Yn, please… just hear me out. I know this won't be easy, but I truly believe we have what it takes to make it work."
Your gaze flickers with a mixture of longing and uncertainty, heart torn between the love you feel for Riki and the fear of the unknown that lies ahead.
"Riki, I want to believe that too, I really do. But… but how can we be sure? What if the distance becomes too much to bear?"
"Because I know, deep in my heart, that our love is stronger than any distance. We've overcome obstacles before, Yn, and this will be no different. We'll make it work, together."
"Yn, I promise you, with every fiber of my being, that I will do whatever it takes to make this work. I won't let our love slip away, not now, not ever. Please, just give us a chance."
With a trembling breath, you nods slowly, a flicker of hope igniting within you. "Okay, Riki. Okay, let's give it a try."
-
You wake up to the soft morning light filtering through the curtains, the warmth of Riki's embrace wrapping around you like a cocoon. With a contented sigh, you nuzzle closer to him, cherishing the fleeting moments of peace before the day's responsibilities pull you apart.
-
Hand in hand, you stroll through the vibrant bustle of the campus, the chatter of students and the rustle of leaves creating a symphony of life around you. With every step, you steal glances at Riki, committing the curve of his smile and the sparkle in his eyes to memory, knowing that soon they'll be but distant echoes in your mind.
-
Underneath the shade of a towering oak tree, you and Riki share a picnic lunch, the taste of homemade sandwiches and sweet strawberries a bittersweet reminder of the moments you'll soon leave behind. You laugh and reminisce, savoring the precious hours you have left together before the inevitable goodbye.
-
As the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, you and Riki steal away to your favorite spot on campus, a secluded bench overlooking the city skyline. In the quiet stillness of the evening, you wrap yourselves in each other's arms, the weight of the impending farewell heavy on your hearts.
With a heavy sigh, you press your forehead against Riki's, the warmth of his breath mingling with yours in a silent exchange of love and longing. In the depths of his gaze, you find solace and strength, drawing courage from the unspoken promise that your love will endure, no matter the distance.
-
In these fleeting moments, Yn finds solace and strength in the love she shares with Riki, cherishing every precious second before they must part ways.

The airport terminal buzzes with the energy of travelers coming and going, but for you and Riki, the world narrows to a single, heart-wrenching moment. Hand in hand, you stand amidst the throng of people, your fingers intertwined as you cling to each other desperately, unwilling to let go.
Tears prick at the corners of your eyes as you gaze up at Riki, your heart aching with the weight of your impending separation. His face mirrors your own emotions, etched with sadness and longing.
"I don't want to leave you, Yn. I can't bear the thought of being apart from you."
You choke back a sob, your throat tight with emotion. "I know, Riki. I feel the same way. But… but we have to be strong. We'll find a way to make this work, I promise."
Your words hang in the air like a fragile thread, tethering you together in the face of uncertainty. But as the minutes tick by, the reality of your impending goodbye looms ever closer, casting a shadow over your fragile hope.
It's only when your friend Kai approaches, his expression solemn yet compassionate, that you realize the time has come to part ways. With a heavy heart, you turn to Riki, your eyes glistening with unshed tears.
"Guys, it's time. The boarding call has been announced."
Riki's grip tightens on your hand, his heart breaking at the finality of Kai's words. With a trembling breath, he presses a tender kiss to your forehead, his touch a silent vow of love and devotion.
"I'll never forget you, Yn. I'll carry you with me wherever I go."
Your voice catches in your throat as you return Riki's kiss, your heart overflowing with love and longing.
"I love you, Riki. Always and forever."
With one last lingering embrace, you reluctantly release each other, your hearts heavy with the weight of your farewell. With tears streaming down your cheeks, you watch as Riki disappears into the crowd, leaving behind a void that echoes with the echo of your love.
As you watch Riki's retreating figure, you cling to the hope that one day, your paths will cross again, and you'll find your way back to each other, stronger and more resilient than ever before.
The car ride home from the airport is silent, the weight of Riki's absence hanging heavy in the air. You stare blankly out the window, your mind a whirlwind of emotions as tears trace silent paths down your cheeks.
As the car pulls up to your doorstep, your phone pings with a notification. With trembling hands, you unlock the screen to find a message from Riki, accompanied by a selfie that pierces your heart like a dagger. In the photo, Riki's red eyes and tear-streaked face speak volumes, a stark reminder of the pain you both feel in your separation.
Your fingers tremble as you open the message, your heart breaking with each word.
Riki's Text: "Goodbye, Yn. I'll call as soon as I land. I love you, always."
"Yn, we're here for you. Lean on us, okay?" You look up to find Bahiyyih's compassionate gaze, her eyes brimming with empathy. Around her, Jay and Kai stand in solidarity, their silent presence a comforting anchor amidst the storm of emotions.
With a shaky breath, you nod, allowing yourself to be enveloped in the warmth of your friends' embrace.

As the third year of college unfolds, you find yourself immersed in a whirlwind of classes, assignments, and extracurricular activities, each day passing in a blur of busyness and routine. But amidst the chaos of student life, there's a quiet sense of contentment that settles over you, a reassuring reminder that even in Riki's absence, your love endures.
In the four months since Riki left, you've thrown yourself into your studies with renewed focus and determination, channeling your energy into academic pursuits and personal growth. The days blur together in a blur of lectures and late-night study sessions, but through it all, Riki's presence lingers like a guiding light, his love a steady anchor amidst the tumult of college life.
Despite the distance between you, your bond with Riki remains as strong as ever, nurtured by late-night phone calls, heartfelt messages, and the occasional video chat. Each interaction is a precious lifeline, a reminder of the deep connection you share and the promise of a future reunited.
As the weeks turn into months, you take solace in the knowledge that despite the miles that separate you, your love knows no bounds. And though the road ahead may be long and uncertain, you face it with courage and conviction, secure in the knowledge that no matter what challenges lie ahead, you and Riki will weather them together, stronger than ever before.
The soft glow of your phone illuminates the darkness of your room as you settle in for another late-night study session. With a tired sigh, you pull up your phone, a smile tugging at your lips as you wait for Riki's familiar face to appear on the screen.
After a moment, his face pops up, his eyes lighting up with a grin as he sees you. "Hey, love," he says, his voice warm and filled with affection.
"Hey, Riki," you reply, your heart fluttering at the sight of him. "How's your day been?"
Riki leans back in his chair, running a hand through his hair. "Busy, as usual. But seeing your face makes it all worth it."
You feel a blush creep onto your cheeks at his words, a warm rush of affection washing over you. "You're such a sweetheart," you say, unable to contain your smile.
For the next hour, you and Riki lose yourselves in conversation, sharing stories about your day and trading jokes and laughter. Despite the miles that separate you, the connection between you feels as strong as ever, each moment spent together a cherished reminder of the love you share.
As the clock ticks past midnight, you reluctantly bid Riki goodbye, knowing that another day of classes awaits you both in the morning.
In the bustling cafeteria, you and your friends gather around a table, the lively chatter of students filling the air with warmth and energy. As you dig into your lunches, a familiar face approaches you, a hopeful smile playing on his lips.
"Hey, Yn," he says, his voice tinged with nervousness. "I was wondering if you'd like to grab coffee sometime? Maybe go see a movie?"
Your heart skips a beat at the unexpected invitation, but you offer him a gentle smile. "Thank you, but I have a boyfriend. I appreciate the offer though."
With a disappointed nod, the guy retreats, leaving you to return your attention to your friends. But as you resume your conversation, a question lingers in the back of your mind, like a faint whisper of doubt.
It's Bahiyyih who voices the unspoken concern, her brow furrowed with curiosity. "Hey, Yn, what if someone else likes Riki? What if people start asking him out?"
Your heart clenches at the thought, a surge of protectiveness welling up within you. You take a moment to collect your thoughts before responding, your voice firm yet tinged with uncertainty.
"I trust Riki," you say, your words a quiet affirmation of your faith in your relationship. "And I trust in the love we share. If someone else likes him, well… it's flattering, but it doesn't change how I feel about him."
Later that evening, as you and Riki settle in for your nightly video call, you can't help but share a lighthearted moment with him. With a playful smile, you recount the encounter at the cafeteria.
Riki's laughter fills the screen, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
You chuckle at his teasing remark, feeling a warm flutter in your chest at his words. "Well, he definitely got the wrong idea. But it was kind of funny."
As the conversation winds down, you both find yourselves drifting off to sleep, the comforting presence of each other's voice lulling you into peaceful dreams. With your phones still on video call, you share a silent moment of intimacy, the soft glow of the screen casting a warm halo around your faces.
The next following months were just like that, Riki and you still communicated. Things were different, that's for sure.
Now, you were in your 2 months of the second semester of third year. Riki was now preparing for new upcoming performances, both of ypu had realized that in this time of year, you both are busy and have less time for one another.
As the clock ticks past midnight, you find yourself nestled in the familiar comfort of your dorm room, the soft glow of your phone casting shadows across the walls. With each passing minute, anticipation builds in your chest as you wait for Riki's late-night video call, a nightly ritual that brings you both closer despite the distance between you.
But as the hours stretch on, the silence of the room grows deafening, broken only by the soft hum of the ceiling fan and the distant sounds of laughter from down the hall. With each passing minute, a gnawing sense of unease creeps into your mind, overshadowing the excitement that had filled you earlier.
You check your phone for what feels like the hundredth time, hoping for a message or a missed call from Riki, but the screen remains stubbornly blank, devoid of any notifications. A frown creases your brow as you glance at the time once more, realizing with a sinking feeling that Riki's late-night call isn't coming tonight.
As the minutes turn into hours, you wrestle with a whirlwind of emotions, from disappointment and frustration to worry and concern. Thoughts race through your mind, each one more unsettling than the last. What if something happened to Riki? What if he forgot about your call? What if…?
With a heavy sigh, you push aside the barrage of doubts and fears, choosing instead to focus on the love and trust you share with Riki. You remind yourself that he's likely caught up in rehearsals or meetings, his busy schedule leaving little time for anything else.
But even as you try to rationalize his absence, a small part of you can't shake the feeling of loneliness that settles over you like a heavy blanket. You long for the familiar sound of his voice, the warmth of his laughter, the comfort of his presence.
With a resigned sigh, you resign yourself to another night spent apart, the glow of the phone screen casting a soft halo around you as you drift off to sleep, holding onto the hope that tomorrow will bring the reassurance and connection you crave.
As Riki steps into his apartment, exhaustion weighs heavily on his shoulders, a testament to the long hours spent at dance practice followed by a whirlwind of classes and meetings throughout the day. With a weary sigh, he kicks off his shoes and drops his bag by the door, his thoughts drifting to you, thousands of miles away in Japan.
Glancing at the clock, Riki's heart sinks as he realizes how late it's gotten. It's already well past midnight, and the thought of interrupting your sleep with a late-night video call fills him with guilt.
With a conflicted sigh, Riki debates whether to reach out to you anyway, knowing how much he craves the connection and comfort of your voice. But as he weighs the pros and cons, a sense of responsibility tugs at his conscience, reminding him of the importance of rest and self-care, both for himself and for you.
Reluctantly, Riki sets his phone aside, knowing that the late hour is no time to disturb your sleep. Instead, he resolves to send you a text in the morning, a simple gesture to let you know that he's thinking of you, even when they're apart.
As he settles into bed, the soft glow of his phone casting shadows across the room, he drifts off to sleep, wrapped in the warmth of your memory.
For Riki, the demands of his dance career and rigorous training schedule weigh heavily on his mind, leaving him little time or energy to devote to anything else. Each day is a relentless cycle of rehearsals, performances, and late-night practice sessions, leaving him drained and exhausted by the time he collapses into bed.
As the weeks slip by in a blur of obligations and responsibilities, you find yourself struggling to keep up with the demands of college life while navigating the increasingly distant landscape of your relationship with Riki. Despite your best efforts to stay connected, communication between you has become sparse and erratic, leaving you feeling adrift in a sea of uncertainty and longing.
Each day is a delicate balancing act, a relentless juggling of classes, assignments, and extracurricular activities, all while trying to carve out precious moments to connect with Riki. But no matter how hard you try, the distance between you seems to grow wider with each passing day, leaving you feeling increasingly isolated and alone.
The once constant stream of texts and calls has dwindled to a trickle, leaving you yearning for the warmth of Riki's voice and the comfort of his presence. Each unanswered message feels like a tiny dagger to the heart, a painful reminder of the growing chasm between you.
In the quiet moments of solitude, you find yourself haunted by doubts and insecurities, wondering if Riki still cares as deeply for you as he once did. The silence weighs heavily on your mind, casting a shadow over the once bright and hopeful future you imagined together.
But despite the uncertainty that clouds your thoughts, a part of you still clings to hope, holding onto the belief that love has a way of overcoming even the greatest obstacles. You remind yourself that distance is just a temporary hurdle, and that as long as you and Riki remain committed to each other, you'll find a way to weather the storm together.
And so, as the weeks turn into months, you hold onto the promise of better days ahead, trusting in the strength of your love to guide you through the darkness and into the light. For even in the midst of uncertainty, you know that with Riki by your side, anything is possible.
As you take a much-needed study break, you absentmindedly scroll through your social media feed, hoping for a momentary distraction from the weight of your thoughts. But as you idly flick through the photos and updates, your heart lurches painfully in your chest at the sight of a familiar face.
There, amidst the sea of posts and selfies, is a picture of Riki, his arm casually draped around the shoulder of a girl you don't recognize. The image is a stark reminder of the distance between you, a painful testament to the reality of your fading connection.
Your breath catches in your throat as you stare at the photo, your mind struggling to process the flood of emotions crashing over you like a tidal wave. Jealousy, hurt, and betrayal swirl together in a tumultuous whirlwind, threatening to overwhelm your fragile heart.
With trembling fingers, you tap on the photo, your heart pounding in your chest as you read the caption beneath it. "Fun day out with my favorite person ❤️ #love #happyducky"
The words hit you like a punch to the gut, each one a painful reminder of the intimacy and closeness shared between Riki and the girl in the photo. A sense of betrayal gnaws at your insides, leaving you feeling raw and exposed, as if your world has been turned upside down in an instant.
Tears blur your vision as you stare at the screen, your mind racing with a million questions and doubts. In that moment, as you sit alone in your room, surrounded by the suffocating silence of your own thoughts, the pain of heartbreak washes over you like a tidal wave, threatening to drag you under.
With a heavy heart and trembling fingers, you reach for your phone, the weight of the day's revelation pressing down on your shoulders. Despite the ache in your chest, you muster the courage to send a text to Riki, your fingers hesitating over the keys as you struggle to find the right words.
"Riki, we need to talk. Please call me when you get this."
With a shaky breath, you hit send, the message disappearing into the digital abyss as you wait anxiously for a response that never comes. The minutes stretch into hours, but your phone remains stubbornly silent, devoid of any sign of life from Riki.
As you climb into bed, the weight of uncertainty settles over you like a heavy blanket, casting a shadow over the once familiar comfort of your room. Despite your exhaustion, sleep eludes you, your mind consumed with thoughts of Riki and the painful realization of his betrayal.
With a heavy sigh, you curl up beneath the covers, your heart heavy with the weight of unanswered questions and unspoken truths. In the silence of the night, you find yourself grappling with a maelstrom of emotions, each one more overwhelming than the last.
As you drift off into fitful sleep, your dreams haunted by echoes of Riki's laughter and the warmth of his embrace, you can't help but wonder what tomorrow will bring. But for now, all you can do is wait, the uncertainty of the future looming large in the darkness, a silent reminder of the fragile nature of love and trust.
With a groggy groan, you roll over in bed, your hand fumbling for your phone on the nightstand. The sound of its insistent ringing fills the room, pulling you reluctantly from the depths of sleep.
Groggily, you glance at the caller ID, your heart skipping a beat as you see Riki's name flashing on the screen. Without bothering with a proper greeting, you answer the phone with a sassy tone, your words laced with a hint of annoyance.
"What, did you finally remember you have a phone?"
There's a moment of silence on the other end of the line, and you can almost hear the surprise in Riki's voice as he responds, his words tinged with uncertainty.
"Uh, good morning to you too, Yn. Is everything okay?"
Despite your frustration, a pang of guilt tugs at your conscience at the concern in Riki's voice. With a sigh, you relent, your tone softening slightly as you reply.
"Yeah, sorry. I just… didn't expect to hear from you, that's all."
There's a pause as Riki absorbs your words, his voice gentle as he speaks.
"I know things have been rough lately, but I want to talk about it. Can we meet up?"
As confusion swirls in your mind, you can't help but furrow your brow in disbelief. "What do you mean, meet up? You're in South Korea."
There's a brief pause on the other end of the line before Riki's voice comes through, filled with an unexpected urgency. "Just… open your front door, Yn."
Your heart races with anticipation as you rush to the door, your hands trembling with excitement. With a flick of the lock, you swing it open, your eyes widening in shock at the sight before you.
There, standing on your doorstep, is Riki, a sheepish grin spreading across his face as he holds up his phone in a gesture of greeting. "Surprise," he says, his voice tinged with excitement and relief.
Your jaw drops in astonishment, your mind struggling to process the surreal sight before you. "Riki, what are you doing here? How did you…?"
But before you can finish your sentence, Riki steps forward, enveloping you in a warm embrace that sends shivers down your spine. "I couldn't stay away any longer," he whispers, his breath warm against your ear. "I needed to see you."
Tears prick at your eyes as you return the embrace, your heart overflowing with a dizzying mix of joy, relief, and disbelief. In that moment, as you stand together on your doorstep, the distance and misunderstandings of the past few weeks melt away, replaced by the overwhelming certainty of your love for each other.
As Riki takes in the redness of your eyes, concern etches his features, but before he can voice his worry, you step back, breaking free from his embrace. His eyebrows furrow in confusion as he looks at you, searching your face for answers.
"What's wrong, Yn?" he asks, his voice filled with genuine concern.
You meet his gaze with a sassy smirk, your tone laced with sarcasm. "Oh, nothing. Just stumbled upon a cute little picture of you and your 'favorite person' on Instagram last night."
Riki's expression shifts from confusion to realization, his eyes widening in understanding. "Yn, it's not what you think—"
As you step back into the apartment, the weight of the moment hangs heavy in the air, a palpable tension swirling between you and Riki. But before you can retreat any further, Riki moves closer, his arms encircling you in a gentle back hug. His touch sends a shiver down your spine, the warmth of his embrace a stark contrast to the coldness of your heart.
"Yn, please," he pleads, his voice soft and pleading. "Let me explain."
You stiffen in his arms, your resolve wavering as his words wash over you. Part of you longs to hear his side of the story, to believe that there's a rational explanation for what you saw. But another part of you, wounded and betrayed, hesitates to let your guard down, afraid of the pain that lies on the other side of forgiveness.
With a sigh, you turn to face him, your eyes meeting his in a silent plea for honesty. "Fine," you say, your voice barely above a whisper. "But make it quick."
Riki nods, his expression earnest as he takes a deep breath, steeling himself for what comes next. And as he begins to speak, his words wash over you like a soothing balm, each one a testament to the depth of his love and the sincerity of his regret.

Amidst the chaos and laughter, you share a connection that transcends words, a bond forged in the simple joys of being together.
These moments, filled with laughter, love, and shared experiences, serve as a poignant reminder of the deep connection and affection that binds you and Riki together.
But amidst the joyous reunions and heartwarming moments, you can't help but notice the subtle shifts in Riki's behavior, the fleeting glances at his phone and the whispered conversations that leave you feeling uneasy.
In the midst of a family dinner, you catch Riki sneaking glances at his phone, his brows furrowing in concentration as he types out a quick response to a message. At first, you brush it off as nothing more than the usual distractions of modern life, but as the week wears on, the frequency of his interruptions becomes harder to ignore.
During a quiet moment alone together, you voice your concerns to Riki, your words tinged with a hint of worry. "Is everything okay, Riki? You seem… distracted."
Riki's smile falters for a moment before he offers you a reassuring squeeze of the hand. "It's nothing, Yn. Just some work stuff I need to take care of."
Despite his words, a nagging sense of doubt lingers in the back of your mind, a silent reminder of the uncertainties that have plagued your relationship in recent weeks. But you push aside your doubts, choosing instead to trust in Riki's love and sincerity.
As the week draws to a close, you find yourself unable to shake the feeling of unease that gnaws at your insides. And then, one fateful afternoon, as you innocently reach for Riki's phone to check the time, you stumble upon a series of messages that shatter your world into a million jagged pieces.
With trembling hands and tears in your eyes, you scroll through the messages, each one a damning testament to the betrayal that has unfolded right under your nose. And in that heart-wrenching moment of truth, the painful realization dawns upon you: Riki's distractions weren't innocent after all. He was hiding something from you, something that would irreparably change the course of your relationship forever.
As you hold Riki's phone in your trembling hands, the weight of the truth settling heavily upon your shoulders, you're startled by the sound of the bathroom door opening. With a shaky breath, you quickly set the phone down on the bedside table, your heart pounding in your chest as you scramble to compose yourself.
As Riki emerges from the bathroom, his expression bright and carefree, you force a sleepy smile, pretending as though you've just woken up. "Hey, sleepyhead," he greets you with a warm smile, oblivious to the storm raging within you.
You return his smile with a forced one of your own, your mind racing with a million thoughts and emotions. Despite the urge to confront him, to demand answers to the questions burning in your mind, you hold back, choosing instead to bury your pain beneath a facade of indifference.
As Riki settles onto the bed beside you, his warmth seeping into your bones, you fight the urge to reach out to him, to seek comfort in his embrace. But as you steal a glance at his unsuspecting face, the memory of his betrayal looms large in your mind, a silent reminder of the shattered trust between you.
In that moment, as you lie there beside him, a silent tension fills the air, a palpable barrier that separates you from the man you once loved. And as you struggle to make sense of the turmoil within you, one thing becomes painfully clear: now is not the time for comfort or reconciliation. For now, all you can do is bide your time, waiting for the right moment to confront him and demand the truth.
As the days pass by, you find yourself grappling with the painful truth that hangs heavy in the air between you and Riki. Despite his attempts to maintain a facade of normalcy, his behavior remains unchanged, his frequent disappearances to answer calls or texts a constant source of unease.
Each time he slips away, you can't help but feel a pang of betrayal as you watch him, his smile once meant for you now a cruel reminder of the deception that lurks beneath the surface. And as he returns to the table, his kiss on your cheek feels hollow, a bitter reminder of the love that was lost amidst the web of lies and deceit.
In that moment, as you sit beside him, a silent tension fills the space between you, a chasm of unspoken words and unresolved emotions. And as you steal a glance at his unsuspecting face, a surge of anger and resentment wells up inside you, threatening to consume you whole.
But instead of giving in to the urge to confront him, you bite back the words that burn on the tip of your tongue, choosing instead to keep silent, to bide your time until the moment is right. For now, all you can do is play the part of the oblivious lover, keeping your true feelings hidden beneath a mask of indifference, all the while knowing that the truth will eventually come to light.
I played dumb, but I always knew That you talked to her, maybe did even worse I kept quiet so I could keep you
As the night stretches on, you lie awake in bed, your thoughts swirling in a tumultuous storm of emotions. Beside you, Riki shifts restlessly, his concern evident in the furrow of his brow.
"Yn, what's wrong?" he murmurs, his voice thick with worry.
But you remain silent, your mind consumed by the weight of your own thoughts. You know you should speak up, confront Riki about the truth you've discovered, but the words catch in your throat, suffocated by the fear of what might come next.
Sensing your hesitation, Riki reaches out to gently caress your cheek, his touch a soothing balm against the turmoil within you. "Please, Yn," he pleads, his voice barely above a whisper. "Talk to me. I can't help you if you don't tell me what's wrong."
But still, you remain silent, your heart heavy with the burden of your secrets. With a sigh, Riki pulls you close, wrapping you in his arms with a tenderness that threatens to undo your resolve.
"Fine," you finally whisper, your voice barely audible in the darkness. "Just… hold me tight until morning, okay?" And with that simple request, Riki pulls you even closer.
In the depths of the night, as sleep claims you in its gentle embrace, you find yourself drifting into a dream so vivid and beautiful that it feels almost like reality. In this dream, you and Riki are together, happy and content, living out a future filled with love and laughter.
You can see it all so clearly: the two of you walking hand in hand down a sunlit aisle, surrounded by friends and family as you exchange vows of everlasting devotion. You can feel the warmth of Riki's touch, the softness of his voice as he whispers words of love and affection into your ear.
Together, you embark on a journey of endless adventures and shared experiences, building a life filled with joy and happiness. You can see yourselves growing old together, still holding hands and stealing kisses even after decades have passed.
But then, in the quiet darkness of the night, reality comes crashing back with a cruel inevitability. As you stir from your dream-induced reverie, your eyes flutter open to the sight of Riki sleeping peacefully beside you, his features softened by the gentle glow of the moonlight.
In that moment, as you gaze upon his sleeping form, a pang of sadness grips your heart, the harsh truth of your situation looming large in the darkness. You know deep down that the future you envisioned in your dream will never come to pass, that the love you once shared with Riki has been tainted by betrayal and mistrust.
With a heavy sigh, you turn away from him, burying your face in the pillow as tears prick at the corners of your eyes. In the stillness of the night, you grapple with the painful realization that the dream you so desperately clung to will forever remain nothing more than a fleeting fantasy, a bittersweet reminder of what could have been.
In the soft light of dawn, you find yourselves once again at the airport, the familiar scent of departure lingering in the air as you stand on the precipice of another goodbye. But this time, there's a subtle shift in the atmosphere, a quiet sense of resignation mingled with a newfound sense of resolve.
As you watch Riki prepare to board his flight, a bittersweet smile graces your lips, a fleeting reflection of the conflicting emotions swirling within you. You know that saying goodbye to him will be painful, but deep down, you also know that it's the right thing to do.
As you stand at the airport, the weight of unspoken words hanging heavy between you and Riki, you can't help but feel a sense of urgency bubbling up inside you. With a glance towards him, you catch his gaze, a flicker of confusion crossing his features as he meets your eyes.
"I know, Riki," you say softly, your voice barely above a whisper, but laced with a quiet determination.
Riki's brow furrows in confusion, his lips parting as if to speak, but no words come out. He searches your face for answers, but you simply offer him a small, enigmatic smile, leaving him to grapple with the puzzle of your words.
As Riki boards the plane and takes his seat, the pieces of the puzzle begin to fall into place in his mind. With a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach, he realizes the truth behind your cryptic message, the weight of his actions crashing down on him like a ton of bricks.
As the plane taxis down the runway, Riki's mind races with regret and remorse, his heart heavy with the knowledge of what he's lost. In that moment of clarity, he knows that he may have let go of the greatest love he'll ever know, all for the sake of fleeting moments of temptation and desire.
And as the plane takes off, carrying him away from you and towards an uncertain future, Riki is left to grapple with the consequences of his choices, knowing that the pain of your goodbye will haunt him long after the plane touches down in a distant land.
As you sits in your car, watching through tear-blurred eyes as the plane carrying Riki disappears into the vast expanse of the sky, a wave of emotions crashes over you like a tidal wave. Tears stream down her cheeks unchecked, mingling with the silent sobs that wrack her body.
Memories of their time together flash before your eyes, each one a bittersweet reminder of the love you once shared and the dreams you two had dared to dream together. But now, all that remains is an empty void, a gaping hole where once there was warmth and affection.

Your phone buzzes insistently, pulling your attention away from the conversation with Jay and Kai. You hesitate, your thumb hovering over the answer button, torn between the desire to hear Riki's voice and the fear of worsening fresh wounds.
Jay notices your hesitation and raises an eyebrow. "Who's calling?" he asks, curiosity piqued.
You shrug nonchalantly, a forced smile playing at your lips. "Just someone from school," you lie, the words tasting bitter on your tongue.
Jay frowns, sensing your reluctance to answer. "You gonna pick up or what?" he prods, his tone tinged with impatience.
Your heart pounds in your chest as you weigh your options. You know that talking to Riki will only make things worse, but a part of you still longs to hear his voice, to find some semblance of closure in your fractured relationship.
In the end, you shake your head and decline the call, your hand trembling slightly as you set your phone back down on the table. "Sorry, just not in the mood to talk right now," you mumble, offering your friends a weak smile.
Jay nods understandingly, but you can see the concern etched in his expression. You know that your friends mean well, but there are some things you're not ready to share, some wounds too deep to be healed by mere words.
As the conversation shifts back to lighter topics, you can't help but feel a pang of regret at your decision to ignore Riki's call. But deep down, you know that it's for the best, that some bridges are better left unburned, even if it means sacrificing the chance for closure.

As Riki steps off the plane in South Korea, his heart heavy with the weight of his actions, he is greeted by a familiar face waiting for him by the gate. But instead of the usual excitement and anticipation he feels at seeing her, there's a knot of guilt and remorse churning in the pit of his stomach.
For the first time, he looks at her and sees not just the thrill of their secret trysts, but the pain and betrayal that his actions have caused another. He sees the hurt reflected in her eyes, a silent reminder of the consequences of his actions, and he can't help but feel a pang of regret deep within him.
As she approaches him with a smile, her arms outstretched in greeting, Riki can't bring himself to return the gesture. Instead, he hangs his head in shame, unable to meet her gaze as the weight of his guilt threatens to crush him.
In that moment, looking at her standing there before him, Riki realizes the magnitude of his mistakes. He knows that he can never undo the pain he's caused you, but he also knows that he can't continue down this path of deception and betrayal any longer.
With a heavy heart, Riki takes a step back, distancing himself from the girl he once thought he loved. And as he walks away, leaving behind the echoes of his past mistakes, he knows that the road to redemption will be long and arduous. But for you, and for the chance at a better future, he's willing to take that first step.

As the months flew by, the weight of Riki's absence lingered heavy on your heart, a constant reminder of the love you had lost and the wounds that still remained unhealed. Graduation loomed on the horizon, a bittersweet milestone marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.
Despite your best efforts to move on, Riki remained a lingering presence in your thoughts, his memory haunting you at every turn. It was a struggle to push him out of your mind, to silence the ache in your heart that longed for his touch and his presence.
But as graduation day drew nearer, you knew that it was time to confront the truth, to lay bare the painful reality of your relationship with Riki. With a heavy heart, you confided in your friends, finally revealing the truth that you had kept hidden for so long.
Their reactions ranged from shock to anger to profound sadness, but through it all, they stood by your side, offering their unwavering support and understanding. With their help, you found the strength to stop seeking updates on Riki, to let go of the need to know what he was doing or where he was going.

As you browse through racks of dresses with Bahiyyih by your side, laughter and chatter filling the air, your heart skips a beat when you suddenly catch sight of a familiar figure standing just a few feet away. Your breath catches in your throat as you lock eyes with Riki, his expression a mix of shock and desperation.
Time seems to stand still as the reality of the moment sinks in, the air heavy with unspoken words and unresolved emotions. For a brief moment, you're transported back to a time when his presence brought nothing but joy and happiness, but now, all you feel is a dull ache in the pit of your stomach.
Bahiyyih's eyes widen in disbelief as she takes in the scene before her, her hand reaching out to grasp yours in a silent gesture of support. She can see the pain etched on your face, the raw vulnerability that lies beneath the surface, and she knows that this unexpected encounter has dredged up a flood of emotions that you had long tried to bury.
Riki opens his mouth as if to speak, but no words come out. Instead, he simply stands there, his eyes pleading for forgiveness, his heart laid bare for all to see. But you know that forgiveness won't come easily, not after everything that has happened between you.
With a heavy heart, you turn away from him, the weight of his gaze burning into your back as you walk away. As Riki takes a step forward, his instinct urging him to chase after you, Bahiyyih steps in his path, her expression a mix of determination and concern. She places a gentle hand on his arm, her touch a silent plea for him to stop and reconsider.
"Riki, wait," she says softly, her voice tinged with urgency. "I know you want to talk to her, but now is not the time. She needs space, time to process everything. This..you, being back all of the sudden"
Riki's brow furrows in frustration, his heart torn between the desire to make things right and the fear of making things worse. He knows that Bahiyyih is right, that barging after you now would only add fuel to the fire, but it's hard to ignore the ache in his chest, the desperate longing to reach out and hold you in his arms.
Reluctantly, he nods, a heavy sigh escaping his lips as he watches you disappear from view. He knows that this won't be the last time he sees you, that there will be other opportunities to make amends, but for now, he'll have to trust that time and distance will heal the wounds that lie between you.
As you sit in your room with Bahiyyih by your side, a heavy silence hangs in the air, broken only by the soft sounds of your breathing. You're not crying, but your mind is elsewhere, lost in a whirlwind of conflicting emotions and shattered illusions.
Thoughts race through your mind like a raging river, each one a painful reminder of the walls you had built up around your heart in an attempt to move on from Riki. You had worked so hard to rebuild your life, to find happiness and fulfillment in the absence of his love, but seeing him earlier today shattered those fragile walls like glass.
In that moment, all the progress you had made feels like nothing more than a cruel illusion, a fleeting mirage in the desert of your heartache. You realize now that no matter how hard you try to forget him, to bury the memories deep within the recesses of your mind, he will always have a hold on your heart, a piece of you that can never be replaced.
And as you stare off into the distance, lost in the labyrinth of your thoughts, you can't help but wonder if it will ever be possible to truly move on from him. Will the ache in your heart ever fade, or will it linger like a shadow, a constant reminder of the love you once shared and the dreams that were shattered in its wake?

Riki finds himself sitting in Heeseung and Jay's dorm room, his heart heavy with guilt and regret. He knows that he's made a mess of things with Yn, and now he's desperate for advice on how to fix it.
Heeseung, ever the empathetic one, offers words of comfort and reassurance. "Look, man, we all make mistakes," he says, his voice gentle and soothing. "The important thing is that you recognize what you've done wrong and try to make it right. Yn is a smart girl, she'll understand if you're honest with her."
But Jay, ever the realist, isn't so quick to let Riki off the hook. "Come on, Riki," he says, his tone sharp and biting. "How could you let her suffer for months while you did nothing? You can't just waltz back into her life and expect her to forgive you. You've got to show her that you're willing to do whatever it takes to make things right."
Riki winces at Jay's words, knowing that he's right. He's let Yn down in the worst possible way, and now he has to face the consequences of his actions. He knows that it won't be easy, that he'll have to work hard to earn back her trust and forgiveness, but he's determined to try.
With a heavy sigh, Riki nods, his jaw set with determination. "You're right," he says, his voice firm. "I messed up, big time. But I'm not going to let Yn down again. I'll do whatever it takes to make things right, even if it means facing some hard truths along the way."
Jay's sharp gaze fixes on Riki, his expression one of curiosity mixed with skepticism. "What about the other girl?" he asks, his tone cutting through the tension in the room.
Riki's heart sinks as he braces himself to explain the tangled web of deceit and betrayal that he's woven. Taking a deep breath, he begins to recount the events that led him to this point, his words stumbling over the painful truth of his actions.
"I thought I could have it all," he admits, his voice heavy with remorse. "I thought I could keep Yn in the dark while I pursued something with this other girl. But it was all a lie, a foolish fantasy that only ended up hurting everyone involved."
As he speaks, Riki can feel the weight of his mistakes pressing down on him, threatening to crush him beneath their burden. But he knows that he has to face the truth, no matter how painful it may be.
Heeseung listens with a sympathetic ear, his expression one of understanding and compassion. "It sounds like you were in over your head," he says, his voice gentle. "But that doesn't excuse what you did. You need to take responsibility for your actions and make things right with Yn."
Jay's expression remains stern, his eyes boring into Riki with an intensity that makes him squirm uncomfortably in his seat. "You've got a lot of work to do, Riki," he says, his tone sharp. "You can't just expect Yn to forgive you overnight. You need to earn back her trust, and that starts with being honest with her about everything."
Riki nods solemnly, knowing that he has a long road ahead of him. But with Heeseung and Jay's support, he feels a glimmer of hope flicker within him. He knows that he may never be able to fully make amends for his mistakes, but he's determined to try, if only to prove to himself and to you that he's capable of change.
As you step out of the apartment building, your heart skips a beat when you see Riki waiting for you, a hopeful look in his eyes. Your resolve wavers for a moment, the sight of him stirring up a whirlwind of conflicting emotions within you.
"I'll walk you to school," he says, his voice gentle and pleading. "I remember how you don't like walking alone."
But you shake your head, steeling yourself against the pull of his words. "I got used to walking alone when you left," you say, your voice firm. "I don't need you to walk me to school anymore."
With that, you turn on your heel and begin to walk away, determined to put as much distance between you and Riki as possible. But to your dismay, he falls into step beside you, his presence a constant reminder of the tangled mess of emotions that still linger between you.
"No matter how far you walk, I'll always follow," he says quietly, his words a whisper on the wind. "I'll do whatever it takes to make things right, Yn. Please, just give me a chance to prove myself to you."
You can feel the weight of his gaze burning into your back as you continue to walk, the ache in your heart growing with each step you take. You know that giving in to him would only reopen old wounds, but at the same time, you can't shake the feeling that maybe, just maybe, there's still a chance for redemption and forgiveness.
As you walk to school, the weight of your emotions threatens to overwhelm you, and you find yourself unable to keep the floodgates closed any longer. With each step, the memories of the promises Riki made before he left come flooding back, taunting you with the bitter taste of broken dreams and shattered trust.
"Remember when you promised that we'd make it work, no matter what?" you begin, your voice tinged with bitterness and hurt. "You said that distance wouldn't be a problem, that we'd find a way to make it through together."
Riki's expression softens, a pained look crossing his features as he listens to your words. "I meant every word of it, Yn," he says, his voice filled with sincerity. "But I know that I messed up, that I let you down in the worst possible way. I'm not asking you to forgive me overnight, but I promise that I'll do whatever it takes to make things right."
But you shake your head, the walls around your heart still firmly in place. "Words are cheap, Riki," you say, your voice tinged with sadness. "You can't just expect me to believe you after everything that's happened. You had your chance to make things right, and you blew it."
Riki's shoulders slump in defeat, his gaze dropping to the ground as he struggles to find the right words to say. "I know that I don't deserve your forgiveness," he says quietly. "But I'm not ready to give up on us yet. Please, just give me one more chance to show you that I've changed."
You pause for a moment, the weight of his words hanging heavy in the air between you. As you finally reach the school gates, the tension between you and Riki hangs heavy in the air, a palpable reminder of the chasm that lies between you. With a heavy sigh, you turn to him, steeling yourself for the answer to the question that has been haunting you since the moment you saw that picture on social media.
"What did she have that I don't?" you ask, your voice trembling with emotion. "Was she worth throwing away everything we had?"
Before Riki can respond, you shake your head, cutting him off before he can offer an explanation. "It doesn't matter," you say, your voice tinged with resignation. "I hope she was everything you ever wanted, everything you couldn't find in me."
With that, you turn on your heel and walk away, leaving Riki standing alone at the school gates, the weight of your words echoing in the empty space between you.
As you take your seat next to Jay in class, the sour look on your face doesn't go unnoticed by him. Concern etches his features as he turns to you, his eyes narrowing with worry.
"What's wrong, Yn?" he asks, his voice low and filled with concern.
You hesitate for a moment, unsure if you want to share your troubles with him. But the words spill out before you can stop them, and you find yourself recounting the encounter with Riki on your way to school.
"He walked me to school," you say, your voice tinged with bitterness. "Like everything's fine and we're still together."
Heeseung and Kai overhear your conversation and begin to tease you mercilessly, their laughter filling the air as they poke fun at your discomfort. But Bahiyyih quickly intervenes, shooting them a stern look that silences them instantly.
Jay leans in closer to you, his expression softening with understanding. "Maybe he's being genuine, Yn," he says, his voice gentle and reassuring. "You know how much he cares about you. And besides, he came over to our dorm last night to talk. He seemed really sincere."
You chew on your bottom lip, the weight of Jay's words sinking in as you contemplate the possibility that maybe, just maybe, there's still hope for you and Riki. But despite the flicker of optimism that blooms within you, you can't shake the lingering doubt and uncertainty that clouds your heart. Only time will tell if Riki is truly genuine in his intentions, and whether or not you're willing to take the risk of trusting him again.

As you return to your apartment, the events of the day swirling in your mind, you're surprised to find the familiar scent of your favorite flowers wafting through the air. Your heart skips a beat as you step inside, your eyes widening in disbelief at the sight before you.
The entire apartment is adorned with bouquets of your favorite flowers, their vibrant colors filling the room with a sense of warmth and comfort. And lying on the couch, nestled among the blooms, is a beautifully wrapped gift with a note attached.
Your hands tremble slightly as you pick up the note, your heart pounding in your chest as you read Riki's words. In the letter, he pours his heart out to you, apologizing for his past mistakes and expressing his sincere desire to make things right. He promises to do whatever it takes to earn back your trust and forgiveness, begging for another chance to prove himself to you.
My Dearest Yn,
As I sit down to write this letter, my heart is heavy with regret and longing. I know that I've hurt you in ways that words can't even begin to express, and for that, I am truly sorry. I never meant to cause you pain, and yet, my actions have led us down a path filled with heartache and uncertainty.
I want you to know that I've spent countless nights lying awake, haunted by the memories of our time together and the mistakes I've made. I've replayed our conversations in my mind a thousand times over, wishing I could turn back the clock and make things right. But no matter how hard I try, I know that I can never undo the hurt that I've caused you.
And yet, despite everything, my love for you remains unchanged. You are the light that guides me through the darkness, the warmth that fills my soul with hope. I can't imagine a life without you in it, and the thought of losing you terrifies me more than anything else in this world.
I know that I don't deserve your forgiveness, that I've broken your trust in the worst possible way. But I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make things right, to earn back the love and respect that I've lost. I promise to be honest with you, to communicate openly and honestly, and to never take your love for granted again.
Please, Yn, give me another chance to show you how much you mean to me. I know that words alone can't heal the wounds that I've inflicted upon your heart, but I hope that with time and patience, we can find a way to move forward together, stronger and more resilient than ever before.
With all my love,
Riki
Tears prickle at the corners of your eyes as you read his words, the weight of his sincerity washing over you like a tidal wave. Despite the pain and uncertainty that still lingers in your heart, a small part of you can't help but be touched by his gesture, by the lengths he's gone to show you how much you mean to him.
But as you look around the empty apartment, the absence of Riki's presence casting a shadow over the room, you can't shake the feeling of unease that settles in the pit of your stomach. Will he keep his promises this time, or is this just another empty gesture meant to placate you?
With a heavy sigh, you set the letter aside and reach for the gift, the weight of it heavy in your hands. Whatever happens next, you know that the road ahead will be long and difficult.
As you carefully unwrap the gift from Riki, your heart flutters with anticipation, unsure of what lies within. With trembling hands, you peel back the layers of paper, revealing a beautifully crafted wooden box nestled inside.
Your breath catches in your throat as you lift the lid, revealing the contents within. Inside the box lies a treasure trove of memories, each one carefully preserved and presented with love and care.
There are photographs, snapshots of moments frozen in time, capturing the laughter and joy that once filled your days together. Each image is accompanied by a handwritten note from Riki, sharing his thoughts and feelings from those cherished moments.
But it's not just photographs that fill the box. There are letters too, pages upon pages of heartfelt words and declarations of love, each one a testament to the depth of Riki's feelings for you. As you read through them, tears prickle at the corners of your eyes, your heart swelling with emotion at the thoughtfulness and effort that went into creating such a meaningful gift.
And then, at the bottom of the box, nestled among the memories, lies a single red rose, its petals still fresh and vibrant despite the passage of time. It's a simple gesture, but one filled with meaning and symbolism, a reminder of the love that still blooms between you despite the trials and tribulations that you've faced.
As you sit with the gift from Riki in your hands, a nagging doubt creeps into the back of your mind, casting a shadow over the warmth and comfort that you felt moments before. Was this all just a ploy to win you back, a carefully orchestrated act of love bombing designed to manipulate your emotions and keep you under his spell?
The thought sends a chill down your spine, filling you with a sense of unease that you can't shake. You know that Riki is capable of great kindness and generosity, but after everything that has happened between you, it's hard to trust his intentions completely.
With a heavy sigh, you set the gift aside, the weight of uncertainty settling over you like a dark cloud. Only time will tell if Riki's gestures are sincere or if they're just another ploy to keep you under his control.

On a sunny Saturday morning, Riki wakes up early to prepare for the surprise picnic he's planned for you. He carefully selects all your favorite foods and snacks, making sure to pack them neatly into a wicker basket. With a satisfied smile, he adds a bottle of sparkling cider and a bouquet of your favorite flowers to the mix before heading out to the park. - After weeks of soul-searching and reflection, Riki sits down at his desk with pen and paper in hand. He takes a deep breath, steeling himself for the task ahead, and begins to write. With each word, Riki pours his heart out onto the page, expressing his deepest regrets and sincerest apologies for the pain he's caused you. He bares his soul, laying bare his thoughts and feelings in the hopes of winning back your trust. Hours pass as Riki fills page after page with his handwritten words, his emotions flowing freely onto the paper. When he finally finishes, he reads over the letter one last time, making sure every word is just right. The next day, Riki delivers the letter to you personally, his heart pounding in his chest as he watches you read it. - One evening, as you're scrolling through your social media feed, you come across a post about a movie you've been dying to see. You mention it in passing to Riki, not expecting anything to come of it. But to your surprise, Riki jumps into action, surprising you with tickets to the movie for that very evening. He clears his schedule for the night, ensuring that you have his undivided attention as you enjoy a night out together. As you settle into your seats at the theater, Riki reaches for your hand, his touch sending a shiver down your spine. Throughout the movie, he steals glances at you, his eyes shining with affection. - One evening, as you arrive home from a long day at work, you're greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of your favorite meal wafting through the air. Curious, you follow the scent to the kitchen, where you find Riki hard at work, surrounded by pots and pans. He looks up with a smile as you enter, gesturing to the spread of food laid out before him. "I wanted to surprise you with dinner tonight," he says, his eyes shining with excitement. "I hope you like it."

As the morning sun filters through the curtains, you awaken to the sound of your phone buzzing with notifications. Groaning, you reach for it, expecting the usual barrage of messages and emails.
But as you scroll through the notifications, your eyes widen in disbelief at the news that greets you. The message is simple yet profound, a single sentence that rocks you to your core:
"Riki quit his dancing job and came back to Japan for you."
Your heart skips a beat as you read the words again, unable to believe what you're seeing. Could it be true? Could Riki have made such a monumental decision, sacrificing everything he worked so hard for just to be with you?
With trembling hands, you dial Riki's number, your heart pounding in your chest as you wait for him to pick up. When he finally does, his voice is filled with warmth and affection, a stark contrast to the uncertainty that fills your own heart.
"Yn," he says, his voice soft and filled with emotion. "I know that I've made mistakes, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make things right. I love you, and I'll do anything to prove it to you."
Tears prickle at the corners of your eyes as you listen to his words, the weight of his sincerity washing over you like a wave. In that moment, you know that you have a choice to make, a choice that will determine the course of your future.
