Happy March everybody! And happy spring break (or almost spring break). Hopefully you all keep taking safety measures while enjoying this week.

For this March spread, I got inspiration from @annajournals_ ‘s September spread.

The abstract style really seemed like the perfect theme for this month, so I tweaked it a little to match the more gray/blue vibe of the weather outside.

This was also my first time trying a more typewriter style of font and I honestly really like how it all turned out.

Stay tuned for the nail post coming up next week as this post is a little hint to the design I’ll be doing for my nails😉

Happy 5th year anniversary since debut ASTRO

I am so happy to be part of this fan club and am forever proud of how come you’ve come 💜

It hasn’t been that long since I last posted anything, but I had been constantly posting 2-3 times a week at the beginning of the month that it almost feels off... 😂

I did have this spread half done since the beginning of the month, but I only really completed it today after seeing ASTRO’s post this morning and thinking that it was today (the 22nd) their fifth year anniversary. Technically it is the 23rd in Korea so it’s not completely off.

This was my second time doing a full on two-page spread for one group so I kinda ran out of ideas halfway through, but I figured it out in the end.

I’m finally back with a nail post! When I had first started this account, it was mostly just for me to document every monthly nail designs I would do so I could look back on it, but then I started document other things and it grew to be more than just a nail account.

I will say though if I hadn’t posted other of my hobbies on here, there would’ve been a 2 month-long break since I did not do anything for January. I did have all the intentions to do something but I just didn’t feel like it and it was also a blessing for my natural nails as they had gotten quite brittle and damaged from the constant glue. But I’m back, my nails are all good now, so let’s look forward to some awesome designs in the near future.

On another note...

It’s officially the new lunar year... so happy lunar new year to everybody! 🎊🏮🧧

Hopefully this new year brings you more prosperity, wealth, luck, wisdom, health and love. And everything else you heart desires.

In celebration of my favourite holiday and this start of the new year, I decided to go for a mahjong 麻将 themed nail design to honour this traditional game that is such a classic in my culture.

This also brings me just a bit closer to my family although I’m spending this new year far away from them.

So for any of you that are in a similar situation as me (and I’m sure as many others), I hope this brings you a little bit of comfort 💚

I do want to mention that all the credit goes to @b.bulletjournal (Instagram) for the original idea. I loved her idea so much and made it slightly different (since I didn’t use strawberries... and also because her drawings are so much more aesthetically pleasing)

Had to add in the mention of the rooftop fight the dreamies has been mentioning for years now... and to think sm actually made it happen 😂

I had a lot of fun playing around with the different shades of orange and yellow, as I personally don’t surround myself with those colours.

I also miraculously had a pair of burnt yellow pair of pants which were the perfect shade for the back ground of this picture so it all worked out.

Finding time to do these spreads is becoming more and more scarce, but this feels therapeutic and it’s a break from school so I will try to manage my time as best as I can 😂.

But in all honestly I was super excited to do this spread, but then when I sat down I just had no inspiration whatsoever. So I did as one does, I started to glue down the parts that I was sure of and built from there. I still think there’s something else I could’ve done, but not quite sure what, so.... but still I do love how it turned out.

Book title: Daughter of Deep Silence

Author: Carrie Ryan

Finished my first reread of 2021 and I still love this book with my whole heart (also this is my first 5 star rating of the year).

First time I read this was actually when I went back to China during Christmas and I had flown through the whole book because there was no wifi and pretty much nothing to do 😂.

I had forgotten just how much I enjoyed it until now. And I’m really glad I had finished my whole January TBR and found some time to read this.

Realized last minute (as in yesterday) that Moonbin’s birthday was today and quickly tried to come up with a spread for today.

Now this half spread probably took me more creative brain cells and time than any of my past spreads. For some reason, I just had such a hard time figuring out where everything should go, so I tried to do individual sections instead of focusing on the bigger/overall picture.

I was debating when to exactly post this since I wasn’t able to finish this post for the exact date of GOT7’s 7th year anniversary last week, but Mark ended up hitting 1 million subscribers today (without posting any videos 😂), so I thought let’s do it.

.

I sometimes wonder how the hell does 7 years pass by so quickly. It honestly doesn’t seem realistic to me that it’s been already 7 years since I started being their fan. To think that back then I had only just started high school is crazy. I was a naive young 12 years old kid, and now I’m (trying) to figure out what the actual hell im supposed to do with my life and what to study in uni.

It’s honestly crazy when you think about it sometimes just how quickly 7 years can pass by. I am definitely sad that they won’t be officially performing and appearing as GOT7, but I’m so happy that they are going a way that gives them full freedom of their careers.

I wish them all the best for their future and I will forever cherish them and support them through all their ventures.

Probably should’ve posted this before posting my January spread post... oh well 🤷‍♀️

Although 2021 is not starting off super strong for my reading (possible reading slump maybe... hopefully not), I will say that one thing I was definitely grateful for in 2020 was the time it had given me to fall back in love with some of my favourite hobbies.

I used to read so much as a kid, but with high school it kinda became more of a chore rather than something I enjoyed. I would only read during my holiday breaks which wouldn’t really allow me to read that much. Then the pandemic happened and we ended having a three month quarantine and that gave me the opportunity to read some amazing books I had for so long and discover so many more.

I ended being able to read a grand total of 113 books. Funnily enough, when the year had first started, I had already decided that I would try to at least read one book a week, so I had set my goal to 52 books for 2020. I guess I definitely achieved my goal in the end 😂.

Those 113 books translated to 37,841 pages read. My longest book ended up being 662 pages long, but overall most of my books were within the 300 to 400 page gap, so not too bad.

Some of my favourites of 2020:

- Renee Collins’ Until We Meet Again

- Emily Suvada’s This Mortal Coil trilogy

- Lisa Maxwell’s The Last Magician

- Sarah Ahiers’ Assassin’s Heart

- Ann Aguirre’s The Immortal Game trilogy

- Karen White, Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig’s The Forgotten Room

Some of these were rereads and others were new discoveries and I couldn’t be more glad I had the chance to read these amazing works.

Happy 2021 to everyone! I do hope you all can make the most of this new year.

Although it is a new year, we still have last year’s issues and problems so please do everything in your power to stay safe and protect yourself and others.

.

For this first spread of the year, I really wanted to try something new (and also draw a little less 😆) so I ended doing a more collage focused monthly spread.

It’s also highly inspired by “The Invisible Life of Addie Larue” by @veschwab.

I was debating for a little while what theme I wanted to do for the new year and I really wanted gold to be the main colour used. So I ended creating spreads inspired by the cover of the book, and different love interests that appear throughout the story.

Even though I probably did not adore this book as others might have (although I still love it very much), it feels very special to have a spread inspired by a favourite book of 2020 (and one that took the author 10 years to write: major respect for that).

This is officially my first journal spread that I post here and I so happy with how it turned out.

It might’ve taken me a whole afternoon and some to finish it, but I am absolutely so pleased with this spread.

I honestly could’ve chosen any group that has released a Christmas song/album, but @got7.with.igot7 “이.별 (the star)” is one my all time favourite Christmas songs, so I just had to. And the album and the MV just match the colour palette so perfectly.
