Rainbow Flag action for Harry’s Berlin show on 07/11/2017

The ever so lovely @beatingfortwo and me - with the creative and financial help of many amazing Berlin participants - set up a flag action based on @hilarryduff ’s Philly flag project for Harry’s concert at Tempodrom in Berlin on November 7th 2017!

We want the General Admission crowd to be waving 550 flags we are giving away during “Woman” to raise visibilty for the LGBTQ+ portion of Harry’s and 1D’s fandom and to further Rainbow Direction’s mission of creating as many Safe Spaces as humanly possible.

As you can see, we put our own little twist to it - each flag will have a little note attached talking about a significant LGBTQ+ woman - of history or very recent - as we want to honor the strong female and especially female LGBTQ+ portion of the fandom as well as remind people of those wonderful and significant women who helped our community to get where it is today.

We will be at the venue of the day of the concert quite early up until around 4.30pm giving away these flags, rainbow bead hearts and flyers for Rainbow Direction at Niall’s Berlin show next year, so make sure you’ll catch us! (Rainbow bead hearts can be given to anyone, not just General Admission / Standing tickets!!!)

uh from what we’ve seen from the lyrics it seems to me more like he’s comparing who they were before like he’s saying louis’ still got same red lips and same blue eyes, he’s got couple more tattoos than when they started, they still wear the old white tshirt but it’s not the two of them, because things change and they grew up, he cant touch what he sees - he literally wrote it around the time they stopped publicly interacting whatsoever and the hiding of what they felt went full on, i think the same part goes with the we’re not who we used to be, because they have to hide and so they’re not themselves on the outside, just two ghosts of what they used to be WOW 

Okay but Harry belting out Sign Of The Times while he affectionately cuddles his guitarist just aligned my chakras. What a spiritual experience that must be.

One of the most satisfying things about witnessing Harry’s success is knowing that he’s a genuinely good person. Like we’ve seen time and time again how lovely and kind and humble he is, and how no matter how huge he gets he appreciates every positive thing that comes his way. For as long as he’s been in the public eye, he seems to have always understood the transcience of fame and commercial success and so has never taken any of the overwhelming support for him for granted. Even a few days ago when he was doing one of his radio interviews, he kept thanking the host for playing his song and having him on the show, and the interviewer let out a chuckle like ‘are you kidding me???’ and said “No, thank YOU.” Because he’s Harry’s Styles so of course being interviewed and praised should be something that he’s pretty used to by now. But after all these years, Harry still makes sure to stay kind and grateful and thoughtful about how he interacts with people around him and what he puts back into the world. Like there is something so wonderful about knowing that Harry is both tremendously talented and fiercely good-natured and that he’s someone you can just root for wholeheartedly. In case it isn’t clear, I’m so proud of him and I’m so proud to support him in any way I can because he is loving and deserving and so much the kind of person I aspire to be someday.

It’s quite funny, it was at one of Ed’s shows and Harry Styles had come down just to watch ‘cause those guys are really good mates. We were on the side of the stage while Ed was playing and Harry jokingly said, ‘how much for me to streak the stage now?’ And I said, ‘well, I’ll give you fifty quid if you do it right now.’ And he just dropped his trousers and started getting ready to run across the stage, and Ed’s tour manager was like ‘no, no, please don’t do it.’ And they did manage to stop him, it didn’t actually happen in the end.
