OKAY here are the rest of the poms! I had Applin for Epel, of course, and then a couple of people suggested Pancham for him too, which is inspired. (Vil also makes it wear a fancy little outfit that it hates. Applin gets out of it by virtue of being a literal apple.)
then Decidueye and Furfrou for Rook! the hardest part there was figuring out which Furfrou cut to use -- I tried to justify Debutante because I wanted the hat, but no, it had to be La Reine. it's the one he would do.

there's something about characters who give off the vibe that they don't care when in reality they really truly do. they understand that if they care they likely won't ever be happy but they can't help but care.
i feel like book 2 in the game didn't do a good job at capturing leona because of how short it is but honestly that's what makes me enjoy the light novels so much. we get to see directly inside their mind.
